#tv: star trek: deep space nine#ds9edit#trekedit#scifiedit#one of the things i really respect about this first season#is that it goes out of its way not to portray bajorans as these perfect victims#they have just got out of a hideous situation#they've been fighting and losing people and just hoping to survive#but they're still people#they're traumatized and suspicious#they're incredibly susceptible to group think#being victims of bigotry has not made them less bigoted themselves#it's much more realistic then star trek tends to let itself be#why kai opaka said bajor had much to learn of peace she was not kidding#poor odo#he didn't deserve this at all#character: odo#things i made
