I love the 2nd movie so so so so so much bc like. It's one of the only times Ash ever tries to turn down a chance to be the hero.

Lugia literally tells him he's the 'chosen one' and has to stop the conflict between the legendary birds, and Ash turns to look at where they're fighting and destroying basically everything caught in the crossfire, turns back to Lugia, and basically says "do I really have to?" And then cries when he realizes he doesn't really have a choice.

It's one of the only times he at least kind of acknowledges that he shouldn't have to be doing this. That he's still inexperienced. That he's just a kid. It's so shksnlcdjdhehd it makes me feel indescribable visceral emotions

This was originally going to be a oneshot, but I like this idea, and if I make it a oneshot I'll never finish it, so we're doing this instead.

I'm not good as summaries, so here's an excerpt instead: — There were many things that Denki Kaminari loved in the world, but sailing was definitely at the top of the list. He adored being able to drift through the sea air, and to feel like he was a part of something bigger.

Growing up in a huge seaside town, he never really felt free. He felt like he was trapped and chained to the stone bricks of the street, sprinkled with dirt from the horses’ hooves.

He's been fascinated by the huge sloop ships that would enter the harbor since he learned to walk, and his biggest dream is to sail on one.
