Hyunseung is a very perfectionistic and passionate person. Fans often describe him as someone that communicates with his eyes, thus his given nickname ‘eye prince’, while other idols tend to think he’s either extremely shy or arrogant, even if he’s anything but. His head is often somewhere else, either thinking about dancing, food or his perfectly cleaned living space. He’s never been too much of a talker without the right amount of alcohol, but even if so, he’s always making sure the people around him are well and without a single care in their life. Hyunseung’s more the type to shut someone up by biting or kissing them instead of telling them to stop talking. Both friends and colleagues often point out that he seems to be in a much better mood when he’s been dancing, communicating with fans through social media or at home where he’s feeling more confident.

Tell us about how you like to rp  – I reply as fast as I can, even if I’m not gonna be online 24/7 since I do like and need my beauty sleep. Other than that, I am pretty open to everything I’m getting; I do think I am quite able to adjust, even if I do have to say I prefer messaging over wall most of the time.

Hyunseung has remained in close contact with every member of BIGBANG ever since YG had dropped him back in his trainee days. He’s a regular participant of their concerts, part of the 'camwhoring-squad’ along with Jiyong and Seunghyun and never fails to mention them when it comes to close friends.

He’s also known for close friendships to several girlgroup-members. Next to his blooming friendship with Stephanie that started back when he was a contestant of Hit The Stage, Hyunseung’s most-known female friend is former 4MINUTE’s member Hyuna. Ever since they started performing as the duo 'Troublemaker’, dating rumors are never far off, especially after their tension-filled performances for their second single 'Now’.

Another good example would most likely be SNSD’s Yuri, given that she’s the idol that somehow tried to erase his general 'cold image’ after she had randomly spoken to him backstage, which later turned out to have been a dare. He wouldn’t mind, not in the slightest. If anything, it would mean he’d be able to have a clean start with someone, as Hyunseung, as Jay Stomp, not as 'that one skinny boy from Beast that suddenly left the band’.
