TAKE THEM BACK!!!!!!
I have had the same horribly fucked up dream twice now, though at least a couple months apart.
In my dream I’m popping a pimple (on my chest for some reason) and instead of any goo, a fucking worm that’s almost half a foot long comes out. Like I have to pull it out of my chest! And afterwards I kinda say to myself “Well. That’s disturbing. I didn’t feel it there at all. What if there are others? Will I die? Are they harmless? I hope I’ll be okay”
And it sounds like a nightmare, but for the entirety of the dream I barely feel anything. No fear- though admittedly a very muted sense of horror, but like a pinch compared to what nightmares are supposed to feel like. So when I wake up, I also have to deal with all the emotions of it AND the fact that dream-me barely felt anything about it!
And I’ve had this same dream TWICE. It is officially recurring. I have to face the possibility that I might encounter it a THIRD TIME, later on.
#is believing bugs are inside you/under your skin a symptom of psychosis?#huh#you learn something new every day#I mean#I very well know there aren’t bugs under my skin. it just dreams#I just have this unfortunate habit of repeating the same kind of dream multiple times#like once a month I have a dream where I go back to high school#??? but I’m still my age??? I’m just doing nothing all day because I KNOW I don’t have classes???#and then I don’t know which bus is the one on my route when school ends. It sucks#but yeah. keep your worms#tw: body horror#tw: psychosis

#also →#is believing bugs are inside you/under your skin a symptom of psychosis?#←#its more like hallucinations are a symptom. delusions are a symptom. paranoia is a symptom.#i was having tactile hallucinations (when you feel smth that isnt there) and occasional visual hallucinations#of bugs crawling all over me and in my hair and in my skin. it led me to the belief (minor delusion) that there were bugs infested in my bed#and bugs living under/in my skin#terrifying!!#i still get the hallucinations but im now aware that this does not mean i should attempt to claw the bugs out of my skin#which even if you do have actual bugs under your skin (scabies or certain parasites) you should not attempt to do anyway#all caps#psychosis tw#dreams#body horror tw#worms
