#a member of a minority taking over an opressive system will not solve its problems#on the other hand i love max and i do think its significant that the ruler of nassau#is a former slave as well as being a lesbian and former swer#and i know flints war was doomed. it was obvious. everyone fucking knew it#i wanted it too...i mean yeah they could have pulled off some incredible victories#but i know why other characters were so desperate to get out of that#including flint. including him. its complicated#and fighting mattered! fighting back emancipated all the slaves of the Maroons!#i dont think the moral of bs was 'do not fight' i think the reblliousness was incredibly important to the story#black sails lb
