OK this post is continuation of article which i write every time after my pilgrim to Sabarimala like in 2013 and 2014 except  for this time i would like to express my findings through various sages( swamys) whom all i met while on the in Pilgrim, This article is answers to all who need  with scientific & historical explanations about  Sacred Process.

This post is no way to hurt the feeling of some liberal nuts who thrive on ever changing modern scientific logic or my religious fanatic  RSS/VHP/ Bajarang Dal supporting Uncles. This is just my discoveries which was passed on to me by various people whom i strongly believe to be right. Though I have been keeping it to myself for a long time to abide the words of Mr. Jiddu Krishnamurti, but its time to let it out free by his own words.

And this article is not for the dumb peopel who feel relieved to disprove the myth behind "The Great Makarajyothi"

First the History part, Pandalam dynasty who had their roots in Tamil Nadu (Pandya Dynasty) was one of the most Secular rulers of India. They encouraged art, music, spirituality, poetry form all walks of Ancient Bharath. This is one of the main reasons this fasting for Yathra Includes five worshiping methods those of Shaivites,  Vaishnavites, Jainists, Sufi Islam, Buddhism & Shaktists ( Shakti worshippers/ feminist) .

In early days devotees of Shakti / Shiva who used meat, liquor and other drugs to worship their deity

self control and the ability to hold it all is concept from vaishnavism

The Buddhists and Jainists thrived on  the concepts of Ahimsa

Islam the concept of periodic fast every year

This is also the reason why Vavar Swamy customs was included as the initial pilgrim point.

Though the phase of worship changed according to ruling times of Pandalam, one should never forget that Lord Ayyapa belonged to the time of Lord Parashurama. 

Parashurama was also the guru Drona and Bhishma & Karna of Mahabharat , though there are various alternative history in this story as believers of ancient Bharath er shall consider "Puranas" as evidence rather than " History" which as been altered by our British rulers.

Getting up before Sun Raise

As  Ayyapa Sanyasi one has to wake up before Sun rsie and bath in cold water and give his morning prayer

In Ancient Indian Tradition , Brahma muhurta (time of Brahma) is a period (muhurta) one and a half hours before sunrise or more precisely is 1Hr 36 Mins. i.e. 96 Minutes = 2 Muhūrta or 4 Ghaṭīkā,and lasting for 48 minutes. Literally meaning "God's Hour", it is traditionally, the last phase or muhurta of the night and is recommended as an auspicious time in all practices of yoga and most appropriate for meditation also a very good time to connect to yoursefl :)

41 Days of Fasting

And 41 days it will be inside your character 

After coming down from my pilgrim, i seem to 40 to war my footwear and food habits completely changed, my liking for oli food contradicted. This is because of my fasting period matched my behavior  cycle to get  embedded into it. Also one main rule People who fast should not shave and lead simple life by quitting all bad habits in these 41+ days period which explain about leaving ego, pride and victory over them with self control

Why is Coconut Offering and Praying in Unison ?

Coconut contains Lauric acid found in mother's milk and is the purest offering to god. This is alternate form of informing people to have this healthy drink, an electrolytic liquid like human blood without any neutrinos. All of them break coconuts , which is spilling of electrolytic plasma -- and hence is a bloodless sacrifice.

Makaravilakku and Makara Jyothi are not same. Both of this appears on January 14 ever year. Makara Jyothi is actually a star which is seen in sky every year on January 14. But Makaravilakku is a light which is seen in sky on January 14. This light appears in sky for three times in Makaravilakku day. Irumudi( The Travel Kit)

Another important aspect of pilgrimage to Sabarimala is the preparation of the travel kit which is termed irumudi kettu. Only those who observe the 41-day vritham are allowed to carry it and without the irumudi, the devotee cannot climb the pathinettaam padi at the Sannidhanam. The bag is evocative of Lord Ayyappan's trip to the forest for tigress' milk; it has twin pockets, the Munmudi (the front portion) and the Pinmudi (the rear pouch), in addition to an opening in the middle. The pooja articles and offerings to Lord Ayyappan are placed in the front bag while the pilgrim's personal belongings are packed in the rear pouch. Irumudi binds the worshipper with the worshipped. It is such a strong tie that the devotee and the devoted are no longer two different entities but a single whole.  Coconut filled with ghee for Abhishekam (also called Neithenga), 2 to 4 coconuts (vidalai thengai), Beetel leaves, beetel nut, coins (kanikkappanam), Jaggery The front portion of the Irumudi represents the good acts of the devotee and the rear one his sins. Articles for the pilgrim's personal use are kept in the pinmudi; these include items for use from the day of commencement of the journey after Kettunira till return. The second bag contains some snacks and other ingredients such as rice and pulses for food that's prepared during the journey. It is the Guruswami who prepares the irumudikettu and places it on the head of the devotee. The journey to the Ayyappa temple on Sabarimala is invariably conducted in groups. The traditional route to the shrine covers Erumeli, Kalaketti, Azhutha, Karimala, Pampa and eventually Sabarimala. The Ayyappa swami who ascends the Patinettampadi 18 times plants a coconut sapling on Sabarimala.
