Kalego Angst With a Hint Of Fluff ( Gender Neutral)
Fandom: Welcome To Demon School Iruma-Kun!
tw! - insults, swear words, self-degrading, mentions of blood, injuries
includes: a 'fight', blaming, guilt, anger, rage, Kalego actually caring for you #WOAH😱😱/hj, friendly banter, jokingly fighting in the end (verbally), Kalego being obliviously smitten, fluff
-----------------------------------------
"Fucking hell. You're so fucking stupid. What the hell is wrong with you?" Kalego grumbled as he pinched the space between his eyebrows.
He's visibly frustrated. No, frustrated is an understatement. He's absolutely enraged. So enraged to the point where you wouldn't be surprised if he killed you right here, right now.
But what exactly brought upon this? What exactly caused Kalego to be in such a furious state...?
You.
You did.
You're the cause of this.
And..
"It's all your fucking fault." He glares at you, with anger so strong that you flinch and look away, too scared to meet his gaze as it might be the end of you.
As he silently ponders for a few seconds about what to do next, thousands of thoughts start running through your head...
'He hates me now.... I fucked up... I shouldn't have messed around with his spell books.. if I didn't, the beast wouldn't have been released... Everything would've been fine...'
Indeed. Kalego isn't frustrated over something small and petty like a spilled coffee,
or you accidentally killing or dislocating his beloved cacti.
....Okay, maybe that isn't small or petty.
He's frustrated over the fact that you've just released a beast even Sullivan would have a hard time defeating.
Worst part about this is that, Sullivan is currently attending to foreign matters in a foreign realm along with all the great superiors of the Netherworld. Thus, it's up to the teachers of the school to take down this beast.
With absolutely no time to waste, Kalego glared at you one last time before storming out of the room, rushing towards where the beast was.
You were frozen on the floor, not knowing what to do. You felt helpless. This is all your fault, yet you can't do anything to help... Can you do anything to help?
No, you can't. You'd just get in Kalego's way.
'I really am nothing but a nuisance..'
You thought to yourself.
Despite your shock, you somehow picked yourself up and got on your feet. With trembling knees, you stumbled towards the window and gasped when you saw that the beast had already defeated 3 teachers and they were all laying on the battlefield, covered in blood.
You felt sick to your stomach, unsure if it was from the gorey sight or the sense of guilt taking over you.
You watched as Kalego arrived at the scene. He looked as stern as always, always standing his ground. But even from here, you could see that he had a hint of fear in his eyes. Well, he was in the presence of a beast who could probably wipe him and the whole school out within 20 minutes after all.
You stare anxiously as he exchanged blows with the beast, casting as many spells as he could with all his might. His comrades fought by his side, but they were all slowly knocked down, one by one. In the end, Kalego was the last man standing.
He took a deep breath.
Inhale.
Exhale.
He closed his eyes for a little while, as if he's praying or recalling a memory...
When he opened his eyes again, he turned towards your direction and looked right at you. He nodded at you slightly with a bittersweet smile.
His eyes were full of will and determination, but also sorrow.
Huh?
You felt your stomach swirl from fear.
Oh no.
Please. Please don't tell me he's planning to-
Before you could collect your thoughts, Kalego charged up a chant and started attacking the beast with all his might. He casted all sorts of spell, even attacked it physically a few times. They exchanged blows, each blow got increasingly brutal and painful.
You couldn't stand watching the fight helplessly through a glass window when Kalego was risking his life for the school, so you dashed out of the room into the hallways.
I have to get there. I have to do something. I have to be at least a little useful. Fuck. Kalego, please. Hold on a little longer.
----------------------------------
When you reached the battlefield, you scouted your surroundings.
Teachers covered in blood were littered on the floor, injured students were scattered by the grass.
The beast was still standing.
Kalego was not.
You stared at Kalego's trembling body in horror. You hurriedly ran towards him and cradled him in your arms.
"KALEGO!!" You screamed in terror as he slightly raised his excruciatingly heavy eyelids and coughed out some blood.
"*cough cough*" His eyes winced in pain as he felt his body ache all over.
"You... You need to get out of here..." He mutters.
He slowly raised his trembling hand and cupped one side of your face.
"Get somewhere safe. Before it's too late.. *cough cough*"
Your eyes water as you gently placed your hand over his that is cupping your face.
"Kalego..." You murmur in a soft, broken voice. You're not hurt, but seeing him like this has wounded you more than any wound ever did.
"Go. Now. Please. While you still can... Save yourself.." He softly says, looking at you with fear and concern.
...Why?
Why does he care for my safety?
Why does he care about me when I was the cause of this whole massacre in the first place?
Why?
Tears ran down your face as you quickly used a floatation spell on Kalego to set him aside to a safe place. You proceeded to cast a healing spell on him - your bloodline ability - and gently kissed his forehead, praying for the best.
-------------------------------
You stepped back onto the battlefield, heart filled with rage and anger.
You meet head to head with the beast, but you're not intimidated by it, no. In fact, it's the opposite.
"Im the one who released you, and I will be the one to put an end to you." You narrow your eyes threateningly.
And the fight begins.
------------------------------
....Anddd the fight is over.
You've finally discarded the beast, but you're basically half-dead.
You have bruises and scratches all over your body, you have a fatal wound around your abdomen and you're losing a lot of blood. You start to slowly lose consciousness as you take small steps towards the area where you've set Kalego down at.
You kneel down next to him and examine his body.
Thank goodness, he's alright.
You breathe a sigh of relief, and gently run a hand over his cheek, causing him to gain consciousness.
But before you could greet him or say anything,
You collapsed.
-------------------------------
"Ugh..."
You flinched in your sleep as you felt a slight pain in your lower abdomen.
The pain got more intense by the second, and suddenly it felt like an electric shock, stinging you from within.
"ACK!" You screamed loudly as you shot up from your sleeping position.
Huh?
You were... In a hospital room. You were on a hospital bed...
You were basically mummified in bandages...
You took in your surroundings as you tried to recall all the events that happened, but that train of thought was broken off by the familiar sting of pain.
"OUCH!! WHAT THE FUCK?!" You snap your head to the side only to see a familiar face holding a cotton swab.
A face that is ever so familiar.
A face that pisses you off ,
but also a face you're so relieved to see.
Kalego...
"Pfft... Someone who took on a whole deadly beast is scared of a little hydrogen peroxide?" He raised an eyebrow and laughed mockingly.
You glare at him, clearly not having enough energy to deal with his shitty attitude. Especially not when you just woke up. Especially not when he's stabbing you with that hell of a cotton swab.
"Is this really how you treat someone who saved your sorry ass? Torment them with a stinging, torture device?"
"Well it's either you deal with this so-called 'stinging torture device' and stop whining.. or you can get an infection. Pick your poison, your highness."
You glared at him, only to get a cocky grin in return.
"Sigh... I don't have the energy to put up with your shit right now. Are you done? I want to get back to sleep." You say, laying back down and pulling up your blanket.
"Yeah, I'm done. If I continue treating you with the oh-so-deadly 'stinging torture device' you'd continue to whine and cry anyways. And as much as I'd enjoy that, other patients probably wouldn't."
You rolled your eyes, smiling.
"Wow, okay, Mr. Sadist...." you mocked.
"Anyways, since you're done, I'll get some rest." You dragged your blanket closer and motioned for him to get out.
You expected some sort of remark from him, but he just complied with your request and smiled slightly before walking out the door.
Weird, that's not quite like Kalego.
Maybe he hit his head a little too hard...
You chuckled to yourself before you drifted off to sleep.
---------------------------
A few hours had passed,
Kalego came into your hospital room once again and sat on the seat beside your bed. You were still sound asleep, exhausted from the fight.
Kalego silently admired how peaceful you looked while you were asleep and ran his fingers over your cheek gently.
He recalled everything you've done on the battlefield, and how concerned you were about his well-being.
The thought made his gaze soften slightly.
"You really are something..." He sighs quietly.
He continues admiring you, resting his head by your bedside.
Then, he hesitantly gets closer to you.
So close you could probably feel his warm breath on you...
He gently whispered into your ears...
"...Thank you."
Right after saying those words, his ears had a soft tint of pink.
He's probably embarrassed. Or maybe it's pink for a different reason...
I guess we'll never know...
------------------------------
Kalego knows that you were the cause of this whole mess in the first place, but he somehow couldn't bring himself to hate you. You are constantly on his mind. Everytime he says something mean to you, he would be up at night wondering if he had gone too far or crossed any of your boundaries... He knows that despite the fact that you're an idiot to him, you're also special to him in some way.
He knows.
But what he DOESN'T know is that you were awake the whole time he said all that and did all those sweet gestures, also when he was mindlessly staring at you...
and you will never let him live it down.
----------------------------------
The end 🥂

"Sensei!!" A shout had you pausing in your steps. You turned around to find a student running to you with a desperate expression and your admonition about running in the hallways died on your lips.
"Is everything okay?" You asked in concern. He stopped just short of bumping into you and panted.
"There's been some disturbance at the Magic Development battler!" He said immediately. "I think one of the potions leaked and students have become all aggressive. Fights are breaking out!"
"Oh no," you muttered under your breath and immediately dashed to the battler's room. You could make out some of the abnormal class students trying to subdue the aggressive ones; Jazz must have called for help. "Alright, break it off!"
You immediately cast spells to get everyone distanced as you joined the fray. With a snap of your finger, you bound up the students who were trying to lunge at the others again. There was still chaos and shouting and you turned to see the Magic Development battler wailing and getting angry– a lot of the potions and gadgets were now broken and spilled over the floor. You carefully tried to walk around them to where the battler head was but accidentally bumped into a shelf where only one bottle was remaining.
Your eyes widened as you watched the contents spill on top of you in slow motion, your reflexes only fast enough to close your eyes in time so that it wouldn't blind you.
Excruciating pain ripped through your body and you couldn't help but let out a bloodcurdling scream. It felt like your blood was on fire and like your skin was being stretched taut. You crumpled into yourself, balling up on the floor, too overwhelmed by the pain to heed the concerned shouts of your students as you passed out.
Kalego was walking down the hallways to the staff room when he heard the commotion coming from the Magic Development battler. A scream he had never heard before pierced the corridors and he immediately rushed over; he had never heard it before but it still sounded familiar. There were students shouting and he parted them with a wave of his hand, trying to get to the centre of the commotion.
The purple haired teacher was shocked to find you lying on the floor. Well… ‘you’ was a bit of a stretch. Because the one lying unconscious on the floor was not the you he talked to, but the you from your teenage, when you both attended Babyls as students. You had somehow reverted to that age and Kalego was glaring at the students in a silent question.
Everyone seemed relieved that he was here (a first, he mused) but it took a few minutes for them to properly tell him what the hell had happened. Kalego sighed and immediately called for more teachers to take care of the affected and bound students. He himself made his way over to your unconscious body and started to pick you up so he could take you to the infirmary but the moment he touched you, you woke up with a loud gasp.
Kalego froze and looked at you, finding it strange to look at your younger self. Your wide eyes were still the same and yet, teenage you somehow seemed more brighter and innocent. Like you had yet to see the horrors of the world.
"What's your name?" Kalego asked immediately in lieu of checking your memory after he had helped you sit up. You cocked your head at him, staring unblinkingly. He waited for a few seconds but you didn't respond. "Can you hear me? Can you talk?"
"Uh, yeah," you nodded and blinked, cheeks flushing. It did not go amiss by Kalego, who only now remembered something you had told him a long, long time ago. "I'm (y/n). What's, what's your name, mister?"
Kalego could feel the silent stares from the students all around him and decided that he needed them gone.
"Alright, get out of here," he shot everyone a glare and most of them scampered off, not wanting to bring on the wrath of the guard dog of Babyls. The Abnormal class stayed behind but Kalego glared at them too. "You won't get a special warning. Leave."
They were hesitant but agreed to leave only after Iruma asked, "Will she be fine? Can you fix this?" and Kalego had answered an unwilling "Yes." It appeased them for now and they left him alone with you, who were looking at everything in curiosity.
"List everything you can remember and are aware of," Kalego said immediately, not bothering to get up from where he was crouched next to you. You immediately straightened up at his commanding tone.
"My name is (l/n) (y/n), 16 years old, student at Babyls," you said quickly, eyes flashing over your surroundings. "You are… Naberius Kalego. Last thing I remember is watching my juniors' Harvest Festival before going to sleep. Judging by my surroundings, I'm guessing I am currently at Babyls but… this is an unfamiliar Babyls. I have probably lost a lot of my memory if I'm correct in my assumption."
"Yeah, it's a lot," Kalego sighed and stood up, offering his hand to you. Your eyes flicked to the hand and you blushed even more furiously. Now was not the time but Kalego couldn't help but be pleased at how flustered you were getting around him. You had told him long back when you got together that you had had a crush on him since your school days. He had only nodded and moved on but now. Now he could see its effect in action.
"Thank you," you took the hand and stood up. You followed him and Kalego could see you glancing at him with awestruck eyes as you walked.
"Is there something on my face, (l/n)?" He asked calmly, enjoying this. It had been years since he had called you by that name. It wasn't even your name anymore.
Your excited smile dropped immediately at his question and you looked heartbroken. It made him pause. Kalego hadn't noticed you in school days much. In fact, when you joined as a teacher, he just remembered you by virtue of you being one of the top scorers during your years. He hadn't got to see your younger face much and unexpectedly, he had the chance now– yet he had somehow made you sad.
"What's wrong?" He asked, failing to hide his concern. He wouldn't let it slip to anyone but you… you were different. He could let it slip because you would never tease him. You huffed and looked away, pouting.
"I don't know, Naberius," you bit back. Kalego had to bite down a smile threatening to pop up on his face. If only you knew that you were Naberius too. "I'm not stupid. I can tell that you're all grown up. You look pretty much the same. I can hazard a guess that I probably fulfilled my dream of becoming a teacher at Babyls too."
"What's the problem then?" He asked as the two of you started walking again. The infirmary was close now.
"I don't know," you said quietly, looking sad. "I thought… I thought we'd be closer now, I guess. I want to befriend you, you know? Ah, I mean, for you, it's probably in the past. I guess I'm just sad that I failed to do it."
"Who says we're not closer?" Kalego asked as he opened the door for you and gestured for you to go in. You went in and shot him another tiny glare. It really was cute.
"You're calling me by my surname," you pointed out. "Not even a bit different from my memories."
"I did that to suit your memories," Kalego answered, moving to the shelf to bring out certain ingredients. A quick and easy recipe to fix the problem at hand. "If you wanted me to call you by your new surname, you could have said that outright."
There was silence in the room as Kalego quietly worked on mixing the antidote. He waited a few minutes but with no response from you, he had to look up. You were staring at the ground in horror, looking absolutely terrified with tears in your eyes. Internally, he wondered how much he had fucked up to see you cry.
You never cried because of him. The only times he saw you crying was during the days leading up to your rare evil cycle. Even when he was mean to you, glared at you, or accidentally said anything hurtful, you had never cried because of him. You had looked sad and always talked it out like a mature adult but, he had forgotten that right now, you were just a teenager.
He was your husband but… he actually had no idea how to comfort you when you were crying. Kalego ditched the antidote to make his way to where you were sitting. He kneeled in front of you and took your hands in his own.
The action startled you and you stared at his hands in amazement.
"I'm sorry," he said quietly. A genuine apology was always a good start whenever he upset you. "I didn't mean to freak you out. I just wanted to tease you a little."
"Telling a 16 year old they're married to someone is cruel, Kalego," you huffed. He raised an eyebrow at the usage of his first name. You looked away, face flushed again. "What? Do I not call you that? What do I call you then? Darling? Love? Here, doggy doggy?"
Kalego's face scrunched up at that last remark and you burst out laughing. He let your hands go but you grabbed his, looking pleased.
"So I was right," you breathed out, looking a little amazed. You could tell from the way he was acting around you, concerned and teasing like he was very familiar with you. "You really… married me?"
"Yes, I had a lapse of judgement five years ago," Kalego stood up but didn't try to get his hands back from you. You tugged him to sit next to you on the bed, eyes still glimmering with excitement. You clearly didn't read into his attempt at seeming nonchalant.
"Shut up!" You beamed, eyes raking over his entire body. "I can't believe I convinced you to marry me. Good job, future me!"
Kalego didn't tell you that you had hardly needed to do any convincing. He was unfortunately quite in love with you. He was the one who had to do the convincing, actually. You had insisted on a romantic proposal and refused him three times before you finally deemed his proposal worthy.
"I can't believe I'm really living my dream life," you couldn't stop smiling, looking absolutely giddy. You had dropped his hands to cup your own face. "I'm sure I tell you this all the time but, you look very hot in your teacher uniform, Kalego."
"You sure got used to saying my first name quickly," he said dryly, trying to switch the topic. It was one thing when you said it to him before dragging him to bed. It was another if you said it in your teenage body with none of your memories. You grinned at his remark.
"I've been preparing for this ever since I met you," you said, a little shy at the sudden confession. Kalego felt like his heart was going to burst if you kept making new admissions to his face. He would never show it to anyone because showing he cared was showing weakness, but damn if he did not love you with every inch of his body. "I… I'm sure the me of your present is living a very happy and satisfied life."
"You are," Kalego smiled softly. You froze at the sight, body shaking in shock at the fact that this older Kalego had just smiled at you. Right. 16 year old you had never been on the receiving end of one of his smiles, right? "I try my best to ensure that."
"I- I see!" You squeaked, face fully red as you tried to hide it. Kalego got up and went back to finish making the antidote. There was silence again for a while before you spoke up. "Are… Are you happy too, Naberius?"
You had switched back to his surname in your nervousness but hearing you say it made him smile. It really had been so long since you had called him by his surname.
"The happiest," he confirmed as he finished making the potion to fix you. He non-verbally cast the spell on it and walked over to you. "I… don't know if I'm doing a good job but, I really try my best to keep you happy."
"You're silly," you smiled at him as you took the potion from him. You smiled down at it, more to yourself than him. "I may not have my memories, but I know I am the happiest too."
With that, you downed the potion in one go. Kalego immediately caught you in his arms as you dropped unconscious and started morphing back to your actual age. In a strange way, today's events had let him meet the you of so many years ago– a side of you he never had the chance to meet.
Even back then, when he hadn't noticed you, you were brilliant, smart and quick to understand your surroundings and yourself. Kalego smiled at the top of your head as he gently picked you up and placed you flat on the infirmary bed.
Today's mistake was unlike you but… that was okay. You weren't perfect and that was fine. As your husband, it was Kalego's job to ensure that you were okay even when you end up accidentally dousing yourself in age-reverting memory potions. Seeing you knocked out like this, trusting him fully, Kalego couldn't help but think. He was the guard dog of Babyls; that was his destined duty from the moment he was born.
But being your protector, your lover, the one who stood by your side– that was his choice.
A duty he was just as happy to fulfil.

All In Your Head
Tumblr media
-Mairimashita! Iruma-Kun! X Reader [Gender Neutral]-
Words: 1,985
Summary: The reader is hit by a hallucination spell when fighting Netherworld beasts. When the reader's eyes land on other demons they can't help but mutter out apologies. Apologies for something that never really happened.
Quick note! This takes place when Opera and the others are attending Babyls!
Posted this on my AO3 as well!
Tumblr media
Staring at the bodies in front of you, you couldn't move. How could you? Your breathing became irregular as you began to cry. Falling to your knees you sobbed their names out, apologizing for what you had done.
Kalego, Shichiro, and Opera. Their names left your mouth as you screamed out apology after apology. How could you!?? Your eyes stayed lingering on Opera, your heart felt like it had cracked into billions of pieces.
You didn't remember what had happened, you only really remember coming into the woods for your daily beast slaying. Did they somehow fall victim to your attacks? They had to, their bodies were all cut up in various ways. Your weapon was thrown a few feet beside you.
But why couldn't you remember? It's not like you normally blacked out. Was this maybe the beast doing? Maybe you were hit with an attack that made your memory fuzzy.
You heard a quiet chirp. Staring ahead you found that Kalego was never really Kalego. It was some type of Netherland beast. Standing up you made your way to it. It has reverted back to its original form as it cried out in misery.
Your eyes were empty and cold as you stood over it. Now that you calmed down slightly you noticed how the blood around you was not red, it was a purple-ish one. Your mind raced back to something you were learning back in Babyls.
Looking over the creature carefully you determined it was a type of bird species. While this certain species, the male birds were able to shape-shift while the female birds sprayed sometype of magic.
Rage filled you, how could you be so stupid? It was never real, you never really killed them. It was just a dumb trick, the damn bird had gotten the best of you.
Even though it was all in your head, you couldn't stop yourself from mumbling out apologies. Ghosting your foot over the bird's neck, you cried harder. Stomping your foot on it repeatedly your apologies were muffled put by the bird's own cries.
After a while it stopped but you continued, trying to get your sadness out. When you finally stopped you went to pick up your weapon. Using your bloodline magic you made it disappear into thin air. It was the weekend so the only place you had to go was home.
Your legs just started to move on their own as your blood-soaked clothes just stuck to your skin. Finally, you had made it home, it was deadly silent.
"Dad must not be home yet..." You thought as you made your way to your room. You entered your own bathroom in your room soon after. Stripping off your clothes you just threw them on the floor.
Turning on the shower you didn't even give it a moment to get warm and just got in. The flakes of blood fell off of you and fell into the drain below.
You couldn't go to school tomorrow. You just couldn't, if you were to see any of them you were sure you would just break down crying.
It was all in your head, you kept telling yourself. It wasn't real it was all just some animal's magic, it was going to be alright.
The shower water only merged with your tears, hiding them as if they weren't even there.
After showering you got out, grabbing a towel that was convincingly there. Picking up your clothes you just threw them away. Quickly brushing your teeth you then made your way to your closet where you picked out your sleeping clothes like normal. Brushed your hair like normal. Laying on your bed you realized you were crying the whole time.
Was this part of that bird's spell? The thought made you angry. You had only seen those 3 male birds, if you were really put under a spell there must have been another one of those disgusting creatures. You vowed to yourself that you would kill every last one of them.
Allowing your eyes to close you fell asleep.
....
You were currently eating breakfast as you had already woken up and gotten ready. You didn't really have the energy to do anything, you didn't even want to wake up. Your father had walked in, turning into his usual egg-like form as he began to shower you in kisses. You would normally laugh or try to push him away but today you just let it happen.
Sullivan found it strange as you hadn't muttered a single word. He called out your name a few times only to have to shake you to get your attention. He noticed how you kept your head low, staring down. Pushing back your chair to get up caused him to back up slightly.
"Y/N sweetheart? Is something the matter? why won't you talk to me!" He cried
You didn't even look at him as you grabbed your school bag and began to make your way to the door. Just about when you reached the front door he put a hand on your shoulder stopping you from moving any forward.
"Ignoring your father is no way to treat me, unacceptable!"
This whole time you had kept your head down not daring to look up at him, well that's what he was thinking. The whole incident with the stupid birds triggered something in your head. For some reason you saw your own father laying down on the floor, his eyes cold and empty as blood surrounded him. You thought you were looking at him the entire time, it was all in your head.
You shoved his hand away and made your way out of the mansion. Leaving Sullivan in shock. He knew something was wrong, were you on your evil cycle? No, you didn't normally act this way when you were. His eyes stayed on you until your figure was nowhere to be seen.
When you finally arrived at school eyes were all on you. By being the honor student it was normal to get this type of attention. Your father had practically made you into a celebrity. The girls and the boys would always whisper about how good-looking you were as you walked passed them.
Making your way to homeroom your hands began to shake slightly as you swallowed a lump in your throat. You shared homeroom with Opera. Currently, as you were walking to your class, your eyes were still glued to the ground and you wanted to cry.
Seeing all these "dead" people was unbearable. In truth, if you got close enough you heard them talking as if they were still alive. That was the only thing keeping your sanity together. You knew it was all in your head, a trick, but for some reason, you thought it was your fault.
As you opened the door to your homeroom class you quickly made your way to your seat. After a few minutes, homeroom had begun. Your teacher began to call names for attendance. Your name was called out once, then twice.
You felt a tap on your shoulder, turning your head slightly you heard the body of the girl next to you speak.
"Say...yo...her..." (Say you're here)
Your name was called out again, opening your mouth it was quickly closed as you felt a presence next to you.
"They're here."
This voice was much more recognizable than the last. Much clearer and easy to hear. You felt a finger poke your cheek. Flinching at the feeling you heard a quiet laugh. You knew it was Opera, your eyes threatened to release the tears you were holding in.
"What's up with you?" The poking action was repeated. The voice you heard was becoming less recognizable as you heard a ringing sound in your ear. "Did I do something to upse.." The voice drowned out in your ear. At some point, the poking stopped.
After a while, you saw how the bodies began to crawl towards the classroom door. Getting up you began to leave. Only for you to be slightly held down. Meeting eyes with Opera you were still looking down. Finally looking at their dead eyes you began to cry again, apology after apology you sobbed.
"Why are you crying?" They spoke in disbelief. You were always a happy person, nothing really ever got the best of you. "Why won't you talk to me? Did I say something you didn't like? I'm sorry if I did."
Hearing Opera apologize to you made you ball your fists. "No, it's my fault you shouldn't apologise." You sobbed. "Please stop looking at me like that! I already said I'm sorry!" You screamed. Your voice echoes in the empty classroom.
Opera furrowed their brows. Was their concerned gaze upsetting you? But they did notice how not once you had looked at them dead in the eyes. They were confused.
Saying one last sorry you shoved past them and made your way to the door leaving Opera speechless. As you closed the door you began to head to your first class of the day. Luckily it was not far so you would still be able to make it in time.
"Y/N!"
You recognized that voice, clear as day. "Shichiro!" You yelled out happily. He had embraced you in a tight hug. Though when you saw him, his eyes were also cold and empty. "Oh" was all you could think. Your smile turned into a thin line making Shichiro send you a questionable look.
"Ugh let go of her you big animal." Kalego huffed. "Come on Y/N let's walk to class together." He said as he continued to walk. He didn't look back to see if you were following him.
Shichiro noticed your hesitation. "Ar....you....alright?" (Are you alright?) His voice beginning to drown out in your ears as well.
Placing your hands over your ears you stopped thinking for a second. You took deep breaths as you tried to calm yourself down. "I'm sorry I'm not feeling well."
"Do...yo...nee...the...urse?" (Do you need the nurse?) Shichiro asked
"No I don't need the nurse, I just need to talk to my father. Don't worry about me I'll be fine. You guys go ahead I wouldn't want you to be late." Walking away quickly you made your way to your father's office.
You knocked on the door before heading in. As soon as you stepped in your father jumped up from his seat excited to see you.
"Ah! Y/N! How nice of you to come to see me! Did you get lonely without me?" He chuckled as he hugged you tight. "Don't worry about class! How about you stay here with me and keep me company from all these papers I have to sign!"
Looking down at you he halted from speaking. Pushing you off of him just a bit he noticed the tears in your eyes. His hands trembled slightly as he freaked out. "Hey, what's wrong! Is it something to do with what happened this morning?"
Hugging him again you held him tightly. Your quiet sniffles fill the room. "Dad I want to go home. I don't want to be here anymore."
"Of course but you have to tell me what's wrong. Did someone hurt you in any way?" He asked, his tone changed. He was talking much more gently so as to not scare you away.
"Dad...I...don't know what to do. I can't face anyone."
"What do you mean?"
You stayed silent. You didn't mean to but you did. From the moment you walked into his office, you couldn't hear anything. Not even the ringing sound from earlier. It scared you truly.
The embrace with your father only radiated a slight warmth. But it wasn't enough. Would you stay like this forever? The thought of it scared you. "Why can't I hear you, dad? Please just take me home.." You whispered, your voice trembling with every word you spoke out loud.

Happy birthday darling ♡
Kalego x reader
Tumblr media
Today was the day. It was finally Valentines Day, and you could now terrorise your boyfriend lovingly! When Kalego squint his eyes open in bed he was met with an empty bed. Grumbling got out of bed when he remembered you mentioning that you needed to be at work earlier than usual. As he drags his feet to the the living room, he spots a note that wrote,' sry I couldn't spend our morning together on Valentines day ^^' Beside it on the dining table was hotcakes drizzled in honey. It would be a lie if kalego said he didn't feel disappointed but what could he do about it, it was work.
You knew that Kalego had not celebrated his birthday since his adolescence and only received only birthday wishes from those who knew. Which was basically only Balam... Knowing Kalego, he would prefer a more plain birthday celebration. That was when you came up with the idea that you should surprise him through out the day with things he loves!
Though you wrote that you were out at work, in reality, you were planning to plant little surprises for him throughout the day. The first of many surprises was a cacti that Kalego has been eyeing for. You gently placed the potted cacti with a beautiful shade of blue violet ribbon wrapped around the pot on his office desk. There, you left a note that was filled with positive affirmation that he deserves to hear . When Kalego stepped into the teacher's office and swiftly walked to his desk, he immediately noticed the new addition on his desk. Instantly, he knew it was your doing as only you would dare describe him as 'loving' 'adorable' and 'charming' with many more of your love poured into the note.
And throughout the day, it continued, from a cliché heart-shaped box filled with dark chocolate as you knew he did not enjoy overly sweet stuff to unconventional stationery with puppy charms that he would surely use albeit reluctantly. After all, it was bought by you.
By the end of the day, Kalego was finally able to step into his front porch. Twisting the door knob and stepping into the entry way, he was met with a romantic rose petal trail with an elegantly decorated table in the middle of your living room. There you were, after sneaking around the whole day he was finally able to see you face to face and you were dressed in a dark shade of purple which was a colour he fancied.
"Happy birthday my dear"
In the end, out of all the trinkets he has received and the word written by you. What truly mattered was your words and efforts you put in. You.
"Happy Valentines Day , my precious"

Kalego’s Favorite Food
Robin was currently walking around the grounds of Babyls when we spotted the various students having lunch under the tree that Iruma had grown. Looking over he noticed the variety of foods the students had. It reminded him of when he made dinner for the teachers in the dorms last night. Kalego had been there since it was one of the times the teachers gathered to discuss assignments.
“Hmm, I wonder…” Robin pondered as he recalled Kalego eating the food he had made. “What’s his favorite food?” He muttered to himself. He thought about the various dishes he's made that he totally did not force Kalego to eat. None of them Kalego seemed too stoked about. It was then a thought came to mind and he grinned. “Guess I’ll just have to figure it out!”
On the other side of the school, Kalego felt a chill go up his spine as he was teaching the misfits.
The day goes by and Robin bursts into the faculty room. He notices a few other teachers there. He sets his sights on Marbas and walks over him. “Hey!”
Marbas flinches at the sudden yell and looks up to a sea of green. ‘Oh no,’ he thought. “Did you need something?” Marbas asked politely as despite not being the biggest fan of his coworker, he didn't want to be rude.
Robin grinned. “Do you know Kalego sensei’s favorite food?!”
He had asked loudly enough that it had attracted the attention of the other teachers in the room.
“I-I don’t,” Marbas answers.
Robin felt disappointed but thanked Marbas anyway. He continued to ask the other teachers but kept getting told no. By the end of it, he was feeling a tad hopeless. He walks over to his desk and sits down. ‘Does anyone know?’ He wondered to himself as he sighed.
He was shocked out of his thoughts when a familiar voice chimed in. Looking up he saw it was Dali and Raim. “Hi there,” he says tiredly.
Dali and Raim’s eyes widen at the unfamiliar greeting from their always-so-cheery coworker.
“Everything okay?’ Dali asks him with a small smile present on his face.
Robin sighs, “Not really.”
“What’s going on little guy?” Raim softly asks him.
“No one knows Kalego sensei’s favorite food?” Robin tells him with a gloomy expression.
Raim chuckles. “Yeah, no one knows much about that grumpy guy. We've been co-workers for years yet he refuses to tell us anything about him,” she pouts.
Dali lays a hand on Raim’s shoulder giving her a look of not right now. They both look down to see Robin looking even more depressed.
“Ah sorry,” Raim says feeling bad for upsetting Robin further.
Robin felt even more bummed at hearing what Raim said. It was then he was shocked from his thoughts when Dali chimed in. Grinning, Dali tells him,” We might not know, but we know someone who might~”
For the first time in the last hour, Robin felt a bit of hope. He looks up to Dali with a vulnerable look. “Who is it?”
“His high school buddy Balam sensei of course!” Dali tells him with a teasing grin. “He knows all about Kalego sensei’s deep dark past,” he chuckles.
Robin had completely forgotten about Balam. He didn’t know that much about Balam, but if Balam could give him the answer he was looking then he didn’t care. With completely disregarding Dali's last comment, he jumps up from his seat yelling, “Thank you,” at Dali, and he dashes out of the faculty room.
Dali and Raim chuckled as they waved at him all the while giving him words of encouragement.
Robin swiftly makes his way to Balam’s office. Not even knocking, he barges in causing Balam to almost drop the tea he was holding.
Before Robins's abrupt entrance, Balam and Iruma were having their usual chat about Iruma’s life as a human. Iruma had flinched as well with Robin entering. ‘I hope he didn’t hear anything,’ Iruma anxiously hopes.
Balam himself was also hoping that Robin hadn’t overheard anything as that was more trouble than it's worth.
“What’s Kalego sensei’s favorite food? Dali sensei told me you might know.” Robin asks him.
Balam and Iruma sighed in relief as it appeared that Robin didn't hear anything. They then both perked up at the question.
Iruma himself now felt curious as he didn’t know Kalego’s favorite food. ‘Maybe if I find out and make it he’ll like me more,’ Iruma thought to himself. It was then Opera felt a chill go up their spine.
“Kalego’s favorite food?” Balam asks with Robin nodding his head. “Do you know,” Robin asks.
Balam taps the chin of his mask as he thinks to himself.
“It has to be gourmet right? He seems fancy like that!” Robin asks. ‘Wait can I even cook gourmet? Well, no matter, I’ll try anyway,’ he thinks to himself as he shrugs.
Balam chuckles. “You would think that, but nope.”
“It’s not?” Robin tilts his head to the side with a confused look.
“Not at all. He actually enjoys home-cooked meals more.” Balam tells him.
Robin and Iruma were both shocked at the unexpected information.
Balam chuckles at the shocked expressions on their faces. Most would look like that when they learn about Kalego. Sometimes even Opera would be shocked though not often.
Robin quickly recovering from the shock asks, “What’s his favorite then?”
“He enjoys Hamburger Steaks,” Balam calmly tells him.
Robin felt happy to learn something about Kalego, but also sad as Robin hardly ever worked with meat dishes. He wasn’t exactly a vegetarian but he preferred vegetarian food. ‘If it’s for Kalego sensei then I’ll make it,’ he thought determinedly.
“That’s his second favorite,” Balam says causing Robin to perk up.
“What’s his favorite then?” Robin asks in anticipation.
Balam grins under his mask. He knew Kalego would be mad at him, but it was all too worth it. “His favorite is definitely Stuffed Devipeppers.”
Robins's jaw about dropped at the sudden news. Stuffed Devipeppers…’ he thought. With him often being the cook for the other teachers in the dorms they had to eat whatever he cooked. That being mostly vegetarian dishes. It just so happens that Stuffed Devipeppers were Robins's signature dish that he made quite often. When he realized that he felt a blush come to his face.
Watching this Balam couldn't help but smile at Robins's reaction. Robin hadn’t known that Kalego often made unnecessary trips to the teacher's dorms just for his cooking. Balam recalls Kalego one time telling him that despite Robin being annoying, he enjoyed the food he made.
‘He…He likes my food…” Robin thought as his mind was trying to cope with the fact that Kalego liked his food the entire time. He felt happy even ecstatic, but also a bit embarrassed. “I-I gotta go!” He yells at Balam and Iruma as he runs out of Balam’s lab.
Balam chuckles as he watches Robin leave. ‘Hope all goes well for him,’ he thinks. He then looks down at Iruma and notices that Iruma was messaging Opera. Looking closer he could see it was about wanting to cook a new dish. Balam felt happy that Iruma cared so much about Kalego, but Opera on the other hand was dreading it as they messaged back, “Yes Master Iruma.”

Can you write about a fanfic with the reader being Kalego's sister. She is sweet and kind, and I wanna know how you'd depict Kalego's life with his little sister in the school. Thx in advance
An Unexpected Connection
Featured Character: Kalego Naberius
A/N: AJAHJSHAHAKKJAHA that is a great idea. Imagine how chaotic Bablys would be the moment it's revealed that the precious cinnamon roll of the campus is actually related to the grumpy old man.
Also, protective older brother Kalego is *chef's kiss*
PS. I made the reader here a teacher if you wouldn't mind :D
I also suck at making up subject names so... *nervous sweats*
Fair warning though, this is a bit lengthy (I got too eager. This was really fun to write :D)
Enjoy!! <3
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
"Hey, did you hear? We have a new teacher for our Defensive Magic subject starting today."
 "Really?"
"Yeah! I heard other students talk about it earlier."
"Are you talking about the new Defensive Magic subject teacher?"
"I saw her just now. And let me tell you, she's quite the beauty."
"She is?!"
Afternoon class just started, and the Royal One classroom is filled with murmuring. The subject of their gossip today is the new subject teacher at Babyls.
"Silence!"
The gossiping voices stopped.
"As you may have heard now, you will be having a new teacher on your Defensive Magic subject starting today," Kalego looked at you and motioned to get in front. "Please introduce yourself."
"Hello! My name is Y/N, and I will be your teacher in Defensive Magic starting today." You introduced yourself, and you can't help grinning widely at the students.
You were excited. It has always been your dream to be a teacher here at Babyls, and now, that dream finally came true.
You were also a little nervous, now that you're actually standing in front of the students.
You just hope that everything goes well as you prepare yourself for your first lecture.
"Just relax and focus. The casting will be off if you're nervous," you gently advised as the blue-haired student beside you cast a barrier spell on the bird figurine you brought.
"D-did I do it?"
"Let's see..." You watch as a barrier forms around the figurine.
"Well, it seems that... Oh!" you blinked as the figurine melted into a black goo.
"Oh... I must've made a mistake." The blue-haired student lowered his head dejectedly.
Seeing his crestfallen expression, you gingerly patted his head and smiled. "Don't worry, you don't have to get it immediately. Casting a barrier spell can be very tricky, so you're bound to make blunders every once in a while."
A tall, pink-haired boy came beside him. "Sensei is right, Iruma-sama! And knowing you, I'm sure that you'll figure out that spell in no time!"
"Hehe... if Iruma-chi is having trouble, you can always count on Clara-sensei to teach you!" a green-haired girl chimed in while proudly presenting her barrier.
"This is impressive, considering that it's your first time! It's a little unstable, but it's no less a feat! And... Iruma, was it?" You turned back to the blue-haired boy. "If you're still having trouble casting the barrier, you should try imagining that you're putting the object in front of you inside a hamster ball. It always works out for me! After all, visualization is important when it comes to casting spells."
"Will that really work?" Iruma glanced at you curiously.
"Yup! But you can also think of something else if it suits you more."
RIIIINNNGGG!!!
"Okay, that concludes our first lesson! We will be having a quiz about the fundamentals of barrier spells next week, so please be prepared for that. And for those who are having a hard time with their barrier spells, you are free to consult me in the faculty room. Have a good day!"
.
.
.
"Wow, you sure are famous among the students, Y/N-chan~"
"Ahaha, what makes you say that?"
"Oh, you don't know? You've been the topic of the students' conversations for the past few weeks. They mostly mention how nice or how almost-impossibly angelic you are," Dali appraises.
You sheepishly scratched your cheek. "Well, as much as I appreciate their praises, I think they might've overexaggerated a bit."
"I wish my students were as enthusiastic in my class as they are in yours," Momonoki sighed. "It almost makes me a little jealous. Tell me, how do you do it? Do you have any special tricks?"
"Tricks?" you tilted your head in confusion.
"Hahaha! It's amazing how you captured their hearts in a small matter of time. But whenever you need help, just remember your senpai will always be there for you," Robin assured while proudly giving you a thumbs up.
You can only giggle at his actions.
"Thank you, senpai. I'll make sure to keep that in mind."
"Hnggg... I totally get why the students think you're angelic."
You slightly jumped when the male teacher suddenly hugged you.
"You're so adorable, I can't help but want to protect you!" He cried.
"O-oh... Haha..."
"What are you doing?"
"Kalego-sensei!"
You turned to the door. Kalego stood there with his brows furrowed.
"W-we were just, you know..."
"W-we were just talking about how Y/N is famous among the students nowadays!"
...
...
...
"I see. Don't forget about your paperwork."
The teachers watched as Kalego took his class record and left the scene.
"Okay, what just happened?"
You raised your eyebrows at your co-teachers' reactions. "What do you mean?"
"Well... Kalego-sensei used to scold us whenever we were caught gossiping at work. So seeing him leave quietly is a little unnerving," Dali explains.
"I wonder why he didn't?"
"Maybe it's because Y/N-chan is here."
"It's possible."
"Wow, so even Kalego-sensei is not immune to Y/N's charms? You really are amazing, Y/N!"
"Uh... thank you?"
A few weeks had passed since you started teaching, and you were now the students' favorite subject teacher on campus.
You're still not used to their compliments, but you're trying to come to terms with it.
But as they say, fame comes with unwanted attention.
"Y/N, please come with me to the library. I need your help with the next lesson."
"Oh, okay."
You hurriedly put away the papers you were grading and followed Kalego to the library.
"Kalego-sensei sure likes to ask Y/N-chan for help nowadays, huh?" Dali said as your back left his sight.
"He sure does..."
Raim awkwardly laughed. "He doesn't hesitate to work the newbies to the bone, does he?"
The others nodded in agreement.
"Surprisingly though, he's quite lenient with her," Raim added.
"You call that lenient?" Orias looked at her as if she was joking.
"Well," Marbas hummed, "considering what it was like when we were new here, I'd say he is."
"So you're saying Kalego-sensei plays favorites with Y/N-chan?"
"No, I don't think that's it."
Everyone turned to Murmur.
"What do you mean?"
"I don't know but... I feel like there's more than favoritism that's going on between them."
"What makes you say that?"
"Well, you see..." Murmur bashfully scratched his head. "I sorta asked Y/N out before."
"WHAT?!"
Several exclamations came from the teachers.
"Oho~ so you asked her out, huh?" Dali teased.
"Oh my~ that's very bold of you," Raim commented.
"How can you ask your coworker out?! Have you no sense of professionalism?!" Orias hissed. Marbas nodded in agreement.
Murmur scoffed at their reaction, "Oh please, stop acting as if you're not planning to ask her out too. It's irritating."
The two flinched at his words. Dali and Raim gave the flustered teachers a teasing look.
"Anyways, that's not why I'm telling you this," Murmur continues. "You see, before I could even finish my question, Kalego-sensei suddenly appeared out of nowhere. He was giving me the death glare, all while asking Y/N for some help. Ever since, whenever I talk to Y/N, I can feel him looking daggers at me. It still gives me shivers while thinking about it," he shuddered.
"So... you're implying that Kalego-sensei and Y/N-chan are in some sort of relationship, right?" Raim asked.
"Well... Kalego-sensei's reaction would be weird if they weren't," Murmur retorted.
The others hummed in contemplation.
That conversation ignited the rumors that you and Kalego were dating each other.
The two of you were oblivious to it, as the teachers never mentioned it whenever you or Kalego were around.
Unfortunately, the students caught wind of the rumor.
You started to notice that students were murmuring to each other whenever you walked in the hallways with Kalego.
It was starting to get to you, so you decided to confront it once and for all.
"Okay, that's all for today. Good job everyone!"
You smiled proudly at the students as class ended. However, you stopped them before they could leave the courtyard.
"Can anyone please tell me what's going on lately? I've been noticing that some students whisper to each other whenever I walk through the hallways these days. I suppose you guys know why that is."
You turned to the bushes in your right.
"You guys can also come out now. I know you're there."
"Haha... So you noticed us?" Dali asked nervously. He didn't expect you to notice them as they used magic to hide their presence.
"So, can someone please explain to me what's going on right now?" you eyed the teachers and students suspiciously.
"Y/N-san... Are you dating Kalego-sensei?!" Momonoki shouted.
"...What?"
"Momonoki-sensei!"
"I know, I'm sorry, but..." her eyes shone with passion and determination. "I have to know. So... Y/N-san, are you or are you not dating Kalego-sensei?"
"Okay, wait. First of all, no, I am not dating him." You heard Momonoki let out the breath she was holding.
Your brows furrowed in confusion. "What made you think that?"
The teachers exchanged glances with one another.
"We noticed that you and Kalego-sensei were getting close to one another, seeing that you're the one he always asks for favors," Raim answered.
"He was also making sure that the male teachers who were trying to get close to you did not even try."
Your eyes went wide with surprise. "Oh. I... see."
You let out a sigh.
"I guess I owe you guys an explanation. Kalego-sensei and I are not dating because we're..."
...
"EH?!?!?!"
.
.
.
"Where were you?" Kalego looked at you slightly miffed.
"Sorry, I had to clear some misunderstanding with the faculty."
"Misunderstanding?"
You nodded. "They thought you and I were dating."
He scoffed. "That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard."
"Well, if you hadn't hogged all of my free time, they wouldn't have made that assumption," you quipped.
"And let those guys lay out the charms on you? Not on my watch."
You sighed. "That's the reason why they thought that in the first place."
You look at your wristwatch. It was almost 6 in the evening.
"We should get going now. Shall we go home, my dearest big brother?"

Lucky Bastard | Kalego x Reader
Fandom: Mairimashita! Iruma-kun
Pairing: Naberius Kalego x Fem! Reader
Word Count: 1.4k
Genre/Tags: Plotless, Silly, Fluff? Crack?
Summary: It's your birthday and the class just found out that you have a husband. Who is the lucky bastard?
A/n: this was absolutely random. it has like, no plot, no purpose, just me writing a short silly fic abt teachers who are married and haven't told the students !! such a fun trope ;; I'm like, 3 eps away from finishing the anime's season 3, but this fic is spoiler free!! hope you enjoy this <3
also available on ao3!
Tumblr media
You hummed happily under your breath as the students filed in for their lecture. You were one of the most friendly and popular teachers at Babyls because you were approachable and kind. All the students always greet you happily and strike up conversations without hesitation.
"Good morning, (y/n)-sensei!" Elizabetta said cheerfully as she passed by your desk. You wished her back but she paused and instead looked at you with wide eyes. "You look really happy, sensei! Did something good happen?"
"Not quite," you answered, giving her a warm smile. "You could say it hasn't happened yet, I suppose."
"So something good is going to happen?" Lied said from behind Elizabetta. Everyone was in the class already and they all seemed curious about your unusually happy and excited state.
"It's not all that interesting to you guys," you waved it off and gestured to the two to go sit on their seats.
"But I'm curious about what's got you so happy too, sensei," Iruma added. Everyone around was nodding so you just sighed and gave them a tiny smile.
"If I answer your question, will you all be good students and pay attention?" You asked. A chorus of incoherent affirmations echoed and you shushed them. "Alright, alright. It's just that today is my birthday–"
"It's your birthday?!"
"Sensei, you should have told us!"
"We'd have got you a gift!"
"No need for that," you sighed but felt touched nonetheless. "As I was saying, since it's my birthday, the principal let me have the rest of the day free the moment my lectures end so I'm going on a date with my husband. It's been months since we got to go on one, y'know."
There was pin drop silence surprisingly. You blinked and then there were shouts and screams. The class had no clue that you were married! You had somehow let it slip by them without them even realising.
"Calm down, calm down!" You shushed them again. Thankfully they listened and you picked up your book. "Alright now, that's enough about me. You come to school to learn and gain knowledge."
"We just learned something new about you, though, sensei!"
"This is important knowledge too."
"It really isn't," you laughed and opened the textbook to the page you had stopped at last time. "Now. Last lecture, we were discussing the importance of pronunciation when casting spells…"
You started the lecture, unknowing of the commotion you had accidentally also started. Everyone's favourite teacher was married and had a husband? The news spread like wildfire amongst the first years and by the end of the lunch break, everyone was talking about what your husband might be like. The senior students already knew who your husband was but it was always fun to watch the freshmen try to figure it out.
"He has to be a really nice and sweet person to be married to (y/n)-sensei, right?" Kerori suggested. "She wouldn't like someone who is unkind and rude…"
"What if her type is a bad boy though?" One of the boys butted in.
"Can you even imagine that?"
Everyone silently thought over it and decided that Kerori was probably right.
"Whatever he's like, isn't it super romantic?" Elizabetta squealed lightly, hiding her cheeks under her hands. "They're married but she was so excited to go on a date with him! They must be so in love."
"He's one lucky bastard," Lied said, clutching at his chest dramatically.
"Yeah," Clara chimed in, looking jealous. "He gets to play with (y/n)-sensei all the time!"
"Um, guys," Iruma laughed nervously. Everyone looked at him. "Weren't we going to get her a gift?"
Oh.
They forgot all about that.
Kalego didn't know what was going on but he could tell that his class was up to something. They were all fidgety and not paying attention (although, that wasn't rare or even surprising) and he could still hear incomprehensible murmurs. They usually did a better job of hiding their conversations too. Something was definitely up.
When the bell rang, a few of them automatically sprang up but Kalego didn't even blink and glared at them.
"Sit down," he said sharply. "We'll have ten minutes more of class time since you all displayed such great concentration today."
The class collectively groaned and started complaining. The purple haired demon crossed his arms over his chest and gave them his meanest look.
"I could have held you back for a whole hour but I have something to do today," he said calmly. "Be grateful it's only ten minutes, you idiots."
"But (y/n)-sensei will be gone by then!" Lied complained. Kalego paused and raised an eyebrow at him.
"And what do you need her for?" He asked, looking even more eviller than usual. Lied shivered and instinctively hid behind Jazz, who just laughed nervously.
"Don't you know, sensei?" Elizabetta tilted her head in question.
"It's her birthday today!" Clara jumped on the spot, vibrating from the desire to escape the classroom. Kalego just stared at them all so the class decided to continue.
"We made her a gift!" Goemon produced a big box wrapped in paper of your favourite colour.
"She will be leaving now," Jazz added. "If we don't give her this now, she'll be gone before we can do it."
"Please, Kalego-sensei," Iruma pleaded, giving his best puppy eyes. Kalego humphed and looked away. He was about to say something when a familiar voice could be heard from outside the classroom.
"Kalego, are you done, dar– Oh!"
You were standing at the doorway, wearing a cute outfit. Surprised by the students inside, you gave them a small smile.
"I'm sorry, is the class not over yet?" You asked Kalego. "I didn't interrupt, did I?"
Everyone turned to look at Kalego who just glared at you then sighed.
"No, we're done," he answered. Everyone cheered and immediately pounced on you, who startled at the sudden enthusiasm as they pushed a big gift in your hands.
"What's this?" You asked, surprised. You hadn't actually expected them to get you a gift so quickly.
"It's something we made for you, sensei," Iruma smiled up at you. Your chest felt warm as you looked at the students who were all beaming and singing happy birthday to you.
"Happy birthday to you~!"
"You're all very sweet," you told them when they finished, ruffling Clara's hair. "Thank you for the gift."
"Anything for our favourite teacher!"
That made you laugh. You were totally going to tease Kalego with this later.
"You look really beautiful, sensei!" Elizabetta beamed. Your eyes softened at her compliment.
"Thank you, I'm sure my husband thought the same when he bought it for me," you smiled down shyly at the outfit. The girls started giggling and awwing over your blush and it only embarrassed you more, considering you could feel Kalego's intense stare over your figure. "Ah, I have to leave now. Kalego?"
"Ready," he popped up next to you and you tightened your arm around the gift as you smiled gently at him. "Let's stop by the dorms first so you can drop your gift off."
"Ah, sure," you nodded. The two of you started walking out. "I'm sure this has nothing to do with the fact that you totally forgot an outfit to change into."
The class watched you two leave, happy from the success of giving you the gift in time. Until…
"Wasn't she going to go on a date with her husband after the lectures?" Lied mumbled.
"Why would Kalego-sensei need to change his clothes?" Kamui asked.
"Why did she come here first?"
"Didn't Kalego-sensei say that he had something to do today?" Even Alice couldn't help but add on to the conversation.
The class looked at each other. There were no words to describe the shock, horror and disbelief they were feeling.
"There's no way."
"We're just jumping to conclusions," Jazz insisted.
"Yeah, there's no way she would ever like someone like him, much less marry…"
Even as they tried to deny it, suddenly all the interactions between you and Kalego made sense. The way you always hung around him. The way you always smiled so warmly when you were talking to him. The way Kalego's rare soft smile had been that one time when you had been laughing too hard at a student's submission (which Jazz had reported after witnessing it in the staffroom).
The way Kalego always glared harder when the class talked about you.
"He's totally the jealous and possessive type, isn't he?" Jazz sighed, placing his fingers at his temple.
"I can't believe this."
"Does that mean I was right? (Y/n)-sensei likes bad boys?"
Everyone resigned themselves to the knowledge they had just received. After all, denial would not change reality. Their favourite, kind teacher was married to their sadistic class teacher. Lied burst into tears as he cried:
"Kalego-sensei turned out to be the lucky bastard!"

Love For Shakky
Tumblr media
-Shax Shakky X F!Reader-
Words: 663
Summary: Shakky is having a guest over and Lied is surprised about who it is.
This is posted on AO3 as well!
Tumblr media
Lied jumped into the kitchen and saw his sister taking something out of the oven. "What are you making?" He asked her. Shakky rolled her eyes as she placed a pan of pastries to cool on the counter. "Nothing for you that's what."
Lied sneaked over to get a closer look and maybe even steal one. Shakky had her back turned to him as she began to wash a few dishes.
The boy reached his hand and almost picked one of the pastries up when his sister's hand gripped his wrist. "Ahh!" He yelled as he became startled. "I told you it's not for you!" She yelled at him. Lied yanked his arm free from her hold. "Okay! Jeez, I just wanted one..."
Shakky shook her head. "Well, you can't have any you hear?!"
Lied nodded his head in annoyance. "Why are you so mean...most of the time you let me get some."
"Yeah, most of the time. Look I'm having someone over so you better stay in your room and not bother us!"
Lied sighed dramatically. "Another boy? I'm sure he'll just run out the door when he finds out how crazy you are."
Shakky smirked at his words. "Y/N already knows how crazy I am!" She laughed. Lied paused his eyebrow rising. "Y/N? That's a girl's name. Lame you can't get a boyfriend so you resort to your friends so you won't be lonely."
Shakky narrowed her eyes at him and he gulped. "What was that you brat?"
"Nothing! Nothing!" He said as he waved his hands in front of his face. "Just nice that your friends care about you."
"Yeah...Y/N really does care...!" Shakky squealed her cheeks turning a bright shade of red. Lied scrunched up his nose at his sister before he left to play some games in his room.
Around 20 minutes had passed when he heard a knock on the door. "Shakky! Someone is knocking!" He yelled out as he continued to press buttons aggressively on his controller. Skakky didn't respond and he heard a knock again. Lied groaned as he paused his game. Getting up he went up to the door and opened it.
"Woah..." He mumbled.
"Hi!! I'm Y/N, this is where Shakky lives right?" You smiled at the boy in front of you. Lied froze for a moment before nodding his head. "Yeah, she told me about you coming by." He stepped off to the side to let you in.
You stepped inside, thanking him for letting you in as you did so. "Ah! You're so cute! You look so much like your sister." You complimented him as he guided you to the living room. "Oh, you think so?!" Lied blushed. He motioned over to the couch and you sat down.
He offered you something to drink but you declined. "Where's Shakky? I'm sorry I came a bit earlier than she told me." You apologized as Lied sat next to you. "Oh, I'm sure it's fine! Pretty sure she's just in the restroom." He smiled. He opened his mouth to speak again but Shakky came running in.
"Y/N! Sweetheart!" She called out to you in delight. You shot up from your seat a beaming smile on your face.
"Shakky! My love!"
Lied saw you run up to her and his face went blank. You two hugged before-
Chu!
Lied's jaw fell to the floor. "I missed you love, thank you for having me over." You smiled as you cupped her cheek. "Of course, you know you're always welcome."
The two of you seemed to have forgotten about the younger Shax as Shakky took your hand in hers and took you to the kitchen. "I made some of your favorite desserts!" She said excitingly as she clung to your side.
On the couch Lied was still shocked. "That hot babe is Shakky's actual girlfriend!?"
He closed his eyes his hands pulling on stands of his hair. "Not fair!"
