Once when I was at the Academy of Natural Sciences in Philadelphia, I got to see one of their passenger pigeon specimens. I cried when I saw it. I never knew they had such a beautiful irredesent feathers on their neck.

The last passenger pigeon was named Martha. She's on display at the Smithsonian.

The last Passenger Pigeon and last Carolina Parakeet on earth both died at the Cincinnati zoo in the early 1900s.

Iridescent paints printing

This is me trying to print using non printing inks, as i wanted the colours that the irredesent paints gave me.

This is what the prints turned out to look like. The first print didnt turn that bad, there was only a little bit that was patchy but the over all colour was there. But then the second print turned out the worse. The third print was done after the paint had dried a little, so the paint didn’t transfer from the block to the paper that well.

When printing the paper got stuck to the printing block, so when i lifted the paper off the lino the paper came away and then got stuck to the block.

Personally i dont mind the way that it looks at the bottom as you can still see the outline of the cloud it is almost like an inverted drawing of a cloud.

I loved the colours of that i chose i just wish that the paint and printing would have worked better together.
