Hi Mae 😊 I was listening the last podcast and I didn't knew about all the fuckery the fandom did with Rony! Like how anyone could hate Rony? he's legit one of my fave characters! I grow up reading HP but I never joined the fandom online and now I'm glad I didn't. And seriously how tf ppl would ship Harry and Hermione together? Ron and Hermione is legit the ultimate OTP from HP. I'm sorry you had to deal with those crazy people. Anyway I really enjoy the podcast and I can't wait for the next 😉

Hello!! I’m glad you didn’t join the online fandom, it was pretty ruthless sometimes. Still, there were plenty of good fic and people who loved Ron/Hermione together to drown out the haters, too! The haters in general would try to bring Ron down and often questioned what purpose he served in the trio and say that he wasn’t as smart as Hermione and not as brave as Harry and so his presence was pointless (sound familiar?). Ron was one of my favorite characters too (and honestly so much better than Harry lol) and the thing that makes me most sad is that people who only watched the movies won’t know the extent of Ron’s various dimensions as a character. Most of the time, I didn’t know how to convince movie-watchers that it was Ron who obviously cared more for Hermione. *cries*

Harry Potter aside, I’m so glad you continue to enjoy the podcast and that you love Ron and Ron/Hermione as much as I do!! :D

Summary: Set after 4x01. At two in the morning after a night of crimefighting, Barry finally comes home to Iris. But something's wrong - and Barry has to ask why.

(IRIS is sitting up in bed, wearing a shirt of BARRY’s and panties, engrossed in what she’s doing on her tablet. When BARRY speeds in, she doesn’t look up, instead furrowing her brow in concentration.)

BARRY (surprised): What are you doing up? It’s two in the morning.

IRIS (still not looking up from her tablet): Just working on a new training simulation for you. I made it for Wally, but I figured I’d have to make some adjustments because you’re running faster than him.

BARRY (getting into bed next to her): It can’t wait till later?

IRIS (sighing): Fine.

(She puts her tablet on the bedside cabinet and gets under the covers. BARRY does the same.)

BARRY (softly): Hey. You okay?

IRIS: Yeah. I just…

BARRY: What?

IRIS: I didn’t think I’d ever sleep in this bed again.

(Silence.)

BARRY (pleading): Iris, talk to me. Something’s wrong. I can tell.

IRIS: Bear, you’ve just got back. I don’t want -

BARRY: You think, in all the years we’ve known each other, I’ve ever been able to sleep at night when I knew you were mad at me?

IRIS: …look. I love you. With - everything in me. I always have. And I can’t think of anything I want more than a future with you - a home, a white picket fence, a cat, God, even the diapers. Especially the diapers.

BARRY (raising his eyebrows): Diapers? Uh, is there… something you’ve got to tell me?

(Some of the tension dissipates as IRIS laughs.)

IRIS: No, it was something you were telling me. You know, when you first came out of the Speedforce and were writing gibberish on the walls. You said “we’re gonna need more diapers”. And, I don’t know. Maybe when you were in the Speedforce time was different, and you went far into the future. Our future.

BARRY: You mean… us having kids?

IRIS: Yeah. And, listen to me, okay, because I can’t say it plainer than this. I want to have it all with you. But I can’t do that without moving past the fact that you made a snap decision to go into the Speedforce.

BARRY: You know why I did that.

IRIS: To save the world. I know. And it’s why I love you. It’s why I’m still by your side. Where I’m meant to be. But I -

(She breaks down, now, tearing her gaze away from him and trying to brush the tears away. He doesn’t seem to know what to do, and after hesitating he puts his hand on her shoulder.)

BARRY: I’m sorry.

IRIS: You don’t have to apologise for being a hero, Barry. I just wish we could have talked about it first.

BARRY: I get that. And I wish we could have had the chance to do that, but everything happened so fast -

IRIS (managing a watery smile): Story of your life.

BARRY (smiling back and reaching out this time, tucking her hair behind her ear): Apparently.

IRIS (her hand covering BARRY’s): I’ve missed you so much. And - the thing is, Bear, I thought you were gone. Gone for good. Just like Eddie, like my mom. People kept leaving me, Barry, and then the one person who was my anchor since we were kids - my everything - he leaves too. And I get why, just like I get why Eddie sacrificed himself, why it was my mom’s time to go. I’m not blaming you. But I can’t pretend the last six months didn’t hurt. They still do. And I’m guessing that won’t go away quickly

BARRY: I get that. All of it. But… Iris - you have to know, I’m never gonna leave you. Ever again.

IRIS: How can you be so certain?

BARRY: You know how everyone was saying today that I was running faster than I’ve ever gone?

IRIS: Yeah.

BARRY: The driving force behind that - it wasn’t the Speedforce’s residual energy. It was you. It’s always been you who has pushed me forward, who’s made me run faster, get better. And you had faith in that. Somehow, even in the middle of that pain, you had faith in the fact that you’re my anchor. My lightning rod. Enough to put yourself in danger, because you knew I would come for you.

IRIS: Like you always have.

BARRY: So you don’t have to worry. I’m not going anywhere. Not ever.

IRIS: Does that mean you’re stuck with me?

BARRY: For better or for worse.

IRIS: Ah. That reminds me.

(IRIS reaches across BARRY, rummaging in the drawer of the bedside cabinet and then finding the ring. She places it in his palm and holds onto his hand for a moment with a smile.)

Bartholomew Henry Allen. Will you marry me?

BARRY (sliding the ring onto her finger): Do you honestly think there’s a universe out there where I wouldn’t say yes?

(They both laugh, leaning towards each other for a kiss as their fingers entwine, Iris’s ring sparkling in the faint light.)

I love you more than life itself, Iris West. Yes. A thousand times yes.

I have some mixed feelings on the Sara/Ava kiss. On one hand, I’m happy they finally kissed but on the other hand I felt it was underwhelming and it was over too quickly. I wish the kiss was like Nate/Amaya kiss at the end of the episode. What’s your thoughts on their first kiss? There’s a rumor I heard that says Alena is working for Ricardo Diaz all along and she’s the one that framed Oliver for the death of Cayden’s son. Do you think that rumor is true and would that be a good plot twist?

Aww, I’m sort of with you? I mean, I’m very happy they’re moving full steam ahead with this relationship and I hope it sticks. But the fight leading into the kiss felt very abrupt to me. I’m happy to see where it goes either way, it’s just not my ideal first kiss.

I’m pretty positive Alena is working for Ricardo, because otherwise what is her point? Since I don’t care about her to begin with it’s a nothing plot twist to me, but I think it makes sense structurally speaking.

I thought I would post this ask to assuage some people’s worries. Candice rarely if ever films five days a week, and she doesn’t always let us know when she’s filming either. Meanwhile, Danielle always lets her fans know when she’s filming. Plus, a lot of filming often amounts to her standing around STAR Labs or getting knocked out during a battle, so it doesn’t guarantee quality screentime.

If it helps: we only had proof of Candice filming 2 days each for 4.11 and 4.12, and she had a nice chunk of screentime in each of those. Meanwhile, we knew of 6 days that she filmed for 4.10 and she didn’t have all that much more than the others.

Every time I see yet another hate comment towards Iris for shitty reasons, I go “Iris West-Allen took another deep breath at 11:30 PM today. Mark it”. LOL! I think I’ll keep doing that as a joke whenever haters cry any time Iris is doing amazing at anything.

Tati, I read the description of the episode 4x12 and I think the person that Barry is going to meet (who has a connection with Henry) was a cellmate of his father because I don't think it's Dawn because he's already meet her. This person also could be Don who came from the future with Dawn to help Barry.

I think the same, regarding the new cellmate. Definitely gonna be Fallout, imo.

People tend to assume the worst about Iris whenever a new trailer comes out. Jesus! Like from the trailer for S4 with “You’re not the Flash, we are” to people thinking Iris slapping Barry in 4x07 when it was Marlize to how Iris might out Barry. Promos tend to be misleading. I don’t understand what everyone’s problem is.

‘Fans’ are obsessed with demonizing Iris, it’s incredible. Can’t wait for them to be wrong.

I’m hearing all this speculation that KL is on LOT permanently now, when do you think we will get any confirmation of this?

We won’t get confirmation until he actually appears on Legends, but I hope the stay won’t be permanent. We need West family scenes with Wally in them, and we need Kid Flash too!

“Meanwhile, Barry (Grant Gustin) meets someone with a mysterious connection to Henry Allen.” WHAT DO YOU THINK THIS MEANS?!?!? Is this Dawn/ Nora/ JPK secret character. Do you think this means she could be someone else. Henry Allen’s secret love child? Maybe? I hope not. Or do you think the synopsis is intentionally misleading and she is Dawn Allen and this ‘mysterious connection’ is just her being his granddaughter? 

Dawn may be in the episode, but I think the description is referring to his new cellmate. Also, like you said, she is still connected to Henry if she’s Barry and Iris’ daughter. That makes Henry her grandfather, which isn’t misleading.
