Six years ago, in April 2017, while in Moscow, I visited the exhibition "Treasures of Nukus" that deeply delighted me at the Pushkin Museum. There is such a city in Uzbekistan, lost in the sands. The museum there, called the "Louvre in the Desert", contains magnificent paintings of the 20th century, mainly by Russian avant-garde artists, whom the Bolsheviks forced out in one way or another. And I also saw "Turkestan's avant-garde" at the exhibition, and also - delight.

And now I see that impressionism unexpectedly gave rich shoots in Central Asia. I often post paintings by the Kyrgyz artist Aziz Sulaymanov, sometimes by his colleagues, mostly graduates, like Aziz, of the National Academy of Arts of Kyrgyzstan.

Recently, other promising artists from Central Asia have appeared in my field of attention. One of them is the Uzbek impressionist Irisbay Temirov, born in 1994. Here is his picture, which was immediately noted by me when viewing one of the galleries on the site.
