iQoo 3 Live Images Tip Hole-Punch Design, In-Display Fingerprint Sensor
Vivo’s iQoo sub-brand is making waves in India these days after announcing the impending launch of a flagship phone in the country. iQoo is looking to establish itself as an independent brand in India with its upcoming phone that is tipped to debut as iQoo 3. Not much is known about the phone as of now, but a new leak claims to give us our first look at the iQoo Neo 3. The alleged iQoo 3 live images show the phone sporting a flat panel and single hole-punch in the top right corner.
The leaked image comes courtesy of a tipster who goes by the username ‘Digital Chat Station’ on Chinese microblogging platform Weibo. The leaked images show the alleged iQoo 3 sitting alongside the recently launched Oppo Reno 3 Pro. It is quite evident that the iQoo 3 will sport a flat panel compared to the curved display on the Oppo Reno 3 Pro.

Another key takeaway from the leaked image is the round fingerprint icon in the lower half of the screen, indicating that the iQoo flagship will feature an in-display fingerprint sensor. iQoo’s upcoming flagship is teased to offer 5G support and liquid cooling technology for better thermal management. The iQoo offering, tipped to break cover as the iQoo 3, is said to run Android 10 and will likely make its debut later this month.
The iQoo 3 is tipped to pack a 6.44-inch full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) OLED display with a hole-punch. It will reportedly be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC. The phone is said to pack a quad rear camera with a 48-megapixel main snapper, and will reportedly come equipped with a 4,410mAh battery that supports 55W fast charging.

iQoo 3 Rumoured to Be Brand’s Next Flagship; Likely to Debut in India Next Month
iQoo 3 is rumoured to be in the pipeline as the next flagship phone by the brand that was initially launched as a sub-brand of Vivo in China. The new smartphone is said to have a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 SoC and will support 55W fast charging. iQoo recently announced its global expansion plans and revealed the launch of its first 5G phone in India. The iQoo 3 is likely to be the smartphone that the Chinese brand would bring to the Indian market to begin its operations as a separate, standalone legal entity in the country.
A tipster from China posted the key specifications of an upcoming smartphone on Weibo last week. Although the Chinese tipster didn’t originally reveal the name of the device, his Indian counterpart who goes by the name Sudhanshu Ambhore on Twitter has claimed that it is none other than the iQoo 3. The Indian tipster also leaked an image suggesting the official name of the new smartphone.
iQoo 3 specifications (rumoured)
If we believe the claims made by both Chinese and Indian tipsters, the iQoo 3 will feature a 6.4-inch full-HD+ (1080×2400 pixels) Samsung AMOLED display with a hole-punch design and 60Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is also said to have the Snapdragon 865 SoC with 5G support and a quad rear camera setup, including a 48-megapixel primary sensor. Further, the handset is said to have a 4,410mAh battery with 55W fast charging support.
Last week, Vivo was found to have filed a trademark application with a Super FlashCharge technology that would reportedly be used to bring 55W charging to the next-generation iQoo phone. A listing on China’s 3C database also hinted at a Vivo phone with 55W fast charging support.
Vivo’s iQoo is set to enter India as a separate legal entity and is launching its new 5G flagship in the country as early as next month. In a conversation with Gadgets 360, iQoo India Director – Marketing Gagan Arora mentioned that the new smartphone would run Android 10 with a custom interface on top. The brand has already set up its office in Bengaluru and is in plans to offer an independent after-sales service — separate from what has so far been provided by Vivo in the country.
“iQoo is an independent entity, independent brand with actually no shared resources, except the manufacturing facility,” Arora had told Gadgets 360.
Vivo’s iQoo Brand Set to Launch a 5G Flagship Smartphone in India Next Month, Based on Android 10
The iQoo phone that the brand is set to launch in India is claimed to deliver a premium experience across different areas. Also, it is said to be compliant on 5G networks in the country, though operators are so far just testing their next-generation network technologies.
Vivo launched the first model under its iQoo sub-brand in China in March last year that it called the Vivo iQoo. The smartphone was a gaming phone with a focus on mobile gamers and photographers. The brand also has models such as the iQoo Pro and iQoo Neo 855 Racing Edition.
