Tumblr media
The mega auction for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 will be held in November end or early December, BCCI sources informed on Wednesday. The rules and regulations for the same will be released by Board for Cricket Council of India (BCCI) in a couple of days, they said.
The Indian Premier League has held two large auctions in the past ten years, with four-year intervals in between. The first major auction was held in 2014, then in 2018–when the Rajasthan Royals and Chennai Super Kings made their comeback after a two-year suspensions.

[ad_1] A pure batter almost never becomes the most expensive player at IPL auctions. One has to go back to 2014-15 and Yuvraj Singh. But even Yuvraj’s friendly left-arm spin had notional value. Players who bring more than one skill to the table generally invite bidding wars. We are talking about a very elite category of players who would be chased by at least three teams in the auction room. PREMIUM Players who bring more than one skill to the table generally invite bidding wars(IPL) With an additional purse of ₹50 crore – ₹5 crore per team – at their disposal and a long list of released players, teams have money to spend. The collective purse is ₹262.95 crore, whereas the 10 teams spent ₹167 crore last year. But only four teams have more than ₹30 crore and plenty of slots to fill. Despite the demand-supply imbalance, Sam Curran’s ₹ 18.5 crore record doesn’t appear to be under threat. Who would win the day from the 333 registered players in Dubai on December 19? The Impact Player rule opens up possibilities for a specialist. But gaps in playing squads and India’s batting-heavy T20 talent pool suggest England's Harry Brook and England's Rachin Ravindra may fall short of becoming headline buys. Like every year, the big Indian names and potential match-winners have all been retained or traded. For a paucity of Indian lower-order batting options, Tamil Nadu power-hitter Shah Rukh Khan may fetch a good sum. Among capped Indian players, Harshal Patel’s slower ball isn’t fetching him wickets anymore and Manish Pandey isn’t a T20 force. Shardul ThakurIt’s quite likely that one of the 30 overseas vacant slots will give us the most expensive buy. But don’t rule out Shardul Thakur. Don’t just look at his inability to justify his ₹10 crore prize tag last year. Or that he doesn’t bowl all that well at the death or powerplay. In a classic case of demand outweighing supply – Jaydev Unadkat took home big money in 2019 auction - Thakur for his all-round skills, wicket-taking ability, aggressive batting potential as well as international experience will again invite bidders. How far the bidding goes would depend on what franchises think about India’s domestic bowling pool. The other pace options include Harshal Patel, Umesh Yadav, Kartik Tyagi, Chetan Sakariya and younger all-rounders Shivam Mavi and Raj Angad Bawa. Travis HeadHead last played in the IPL in 2017. But the Aussie left-handed opener wasn’t the player he has become across formats in the last two years. He delivered crushing blows to India’s ICC title hopes this year - in the final of the WTC as well as the ODI World Cup. Head bats with a strike rate of 146 (in T20s) and can bowl handy off-spin. Given his batting position flexibility, Head will be an attractive buy when his name comes up in the first set itself. Mitchell StarcThe Australian left-arm pacer is looking at an IPL return after eight years, to prepare for the next year's T20 World Cup. With his left-armer's angle, toe-crushing yorkers and prowess at banana swing, the experienced pacer is hungry to prove a point. It presents a heady cocktail for any franchise in need for speed. Kolkata Knight Riders won’t mind having him after releasing most of their pacers. Pat CumminsHow far would you go for a bowler who earns his living by making the red ball seam to trouble batters? Cummins' crafty bowling towards the end of the ODI World Cup and his world class captaincy proved there’s no substitute for class and experience. Cummins can win matches with the new ball and bowl hard lengths in the middle. With his ability to use the long handle, he could become the surprise jackpot winner if more than one franchise sees an opportunity and can create a space. Wanindu HasarangaThe Sri Lanka wrist-spinner was surprisingly let go by RCB. While that may have been to make space for the expensive Cameron Green trade, other teams may be excited at the prospect of roping him in when the paddles go up in the second set. Hasaranga’s googlies are difficult to read, and more than one team is short of quality spinners. But he’s competing with plenty of overseas spinners like Tabraiz Shamsi, Keshav Maharaj, Adil Rashid and Ish Sodhi and that might bring his price down. Gerald CoetzeeGerald Coetzee had a breakthrough 2023 -- getting plenty of wickets in SA20 and following it up with an impressive World Cup in India. Sporting a bandana, Coetzee runs in with a true fast bowler's attitude, has the T20 smarts and also has batting ability. He is only 23 and plenty of franchises may want to invest for the future. In the beginning, Kolkata Knight Riders seemed to be at the losing end of the championship. The first three years found the team to be far from winning the cup. But in 2012, they turned the tables and emerged as champions of the Indian Premier League. Having repeated their success in 2014, KKR gained more prowess in the fields and a stronger reputation in the league. But it is over 5 years already, and they are yet to claim back the championship. Do you think the Kolkata Knight Riders team would make it this year?
In the auction, KKR claimed Pat Cummins for their team breaking the records for the most expensive overseas purchase. Led by Dinesh Karthik, the Kolkata Knight Riders players seem to carry considerable potential with a good batting line-up.
Audiences are looking forward to lots of action on the field with players like Sunil Narine, Andre Russel, Eoin Morgan, and Tom Banton. fore more contacts:- https://cricdaddy.com/tournament-cup/ipl/kolkata-knight-riders/

CSK Best Playing 11 2022
Chennai Super Kings is one of the most successful teams in the history of IPL. CSK has won IPL four times and currently are defending Champions.
Chennai Super Kings won IPL in 2010, 2011, 2018 and 2021 and were finalists in 2008,2012,2013,2015 and 2019 and was banned in 2016 and 2017.
The success of CSK is depend lot on they have five-six key players for last five-six seasons. CSK is the only team to have a same Captain in all IPL Seasons.MS Dhoni’s Captaincy and batting has played a major role in CSK’s success.
So, here is what is the strongest playing XI for CSK in IPL 2022 : –
Openers
Ruturaj Gaikwad and Devon Conway
Ruturaj Gaikwad played great role for CSK in winning the tournament in IPL 2022 and was also highest run-scorer in IPL 2022. Gaikwad last year scored 635 runs in 16 innings and was Orange Cap winner. CSK retained Gaikwad for IPL 2022 and will give him full chance this year as well.
By giving Devon Conway a chance, CSK will like to go with left-right combination at the top. Conway is sweet timer of the ball and can be one of the best for CSK this year. In short T20I career, Conway has scored 602 runs in 17 innings at an average of 50 plus.
Robin Uthappa
First season CSK will be without Suresh Raina, who was asset for this team from season 1. Last year, Uthappa played key knocks in the absence of Suresh Raina, which allow him to retain him in CSK playing XI. Uthappa was Orange Cap winner in IPL 2014.
From last few seasons, he was also out of form, but his last few knocks were enough to keep him in the squad.
Moeen Ali
Another player, who played a key role for CSK in becoming Champion. Moeen was bought by Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021 Auction and he is retained this season as well. Moeen Ali scored 357 runs and took 6 wickets.
Ambati Rayudu
In IPL 2018,CSK used Ambati Rayudu as an opener and he showed his power in IPL 2018.As a result he was selected in Team India after his performance.
Last year, he played few knocks which almost went unnoticed. Chennai Super Kings bought him in auction again and it is expected he will be part of middle order again.
MS Dhoni(c and wk)
MS Dhoni will be their Captain in IPL 2022 as well. Chennai Super Kings skipper is not much effective with bat nowadays, but his brilliance behind the stumps is enough to dominate the game.
Ravindra Jadeja
Arguably, the best player for Chennai Super Kings in last 1–2 season. Jadeja has improved lot with the bat and CSK is using him as a finisher. CSK picked him as first retention for IPL 2022. Last year, he scored 227 runs at an average of 75.66 and also took 13 wickets. His fielding is always a plus point for Chennai Super Kings.
Dwayne Bravo
It would be not wrong if we say Bravo is best bowler for CSK. Dwayne Bravo is an asset for any side in the World and MS Dhoni used him most as a bowler.
He is among best death-bowlers in the World and a handy batsman who can change situation of the game.
Bravo always provide breakthroughs to CSK in deaths and is their main player from last 6–7 seasons.
Deepak Chahar
Deepak Chahar is opening bowler for Chennai Super Kings and has improved a lot.
MS Dhoni has played great role for developing his standard as a bowler. Deepak provides breakthroughs in start and doesn’t allow batsmans to go after him. CSK bought him in IPL 2022 Auction for Rs 14 Crore.
Chahar is a handy Batsman too in addition to a bowler.
Adam Milne
Speedster from New Zealand. Last year, Chennai Super Kings was without pacer who could bowl at a speed of 140kph. This year they have bought Milne, who could bowl at speed of 145kmph. Milne is usually a economical bowler.
KM Asif
KM Asif has just played three IPL games. This year, CSK is without Shardul Thakur and more key pacers. So, Chennai Super Kings could go with him in playing XI this season.

IPL 2022 : Punjab Kings Announces their Captain
Kings XI Punjab or known as Punjab Kings has been an instrumental part of Indian Premier League. Punjab was decent in the first few seasons. Punjab made it to the playoffs under Yuvraj Singh in the first season.
Punjab's best season came in 2014 under George Bailey where Glen Maxwell and David Miller single handedly took them into IPL finals. Unfortunately for them they lost the finals to KKR that year.  Since then, Punjab has been on a downfall. They kept finishing in the bottom half of the table. In 2018 Mega Auction Punjab went all clean, they retained only 2 players for the auction. They build a decent team for themselves. They got Ashwin and Kl Rahul, 2 big stars of Indian cricket.
But again, lucky was not the Punjab side, they performed badly that season and eventually captain Ashwin had fallen out with management and he was traded to the Delhi team. KL Rahul was made captain then, under Rahul Punjab performed in bits and pieces. Sometimes they played exceptionally well while sometimes they played terribly.
Now again for IPL 2022 mega auction followed the strategy of 2018 and went all clean only retaining 2 players. Their Captain Kl Rahul left them on some payment issue and Punjab retained Mayank Agarwal his deputy and Arsdeep Singh young left arm pacer. On the auction table Punjab performed brilliantly, they have got a good all-round squad.
https://youtu.be/ren8yVO6s1g
Now with Squad and all set, Punjab Kings needed a captain and they had a lot of options after getting their full squad. Top candidates were Shikhar Dhawan and Mayank Agarwal and English International Jonny Bairstow.
Now with all the speculation, Punjab Kings decided to announce their captain and now Punjab Kings have announced Mayank Agarwal as their captain for IPL 2022 season.
Also don't forget to follow us on indian premier league 2022 live score for more IPL news.

Mayank Agarwal set to captain Punjab Kings in upcoming IPL: Report
Tumblr media
India batter Mayank Agarwal is set to captain Punjab Kings in the upcoming Indian Premier League.
Agarwal, who is part of the Indian Test team, was one of the two players retained by Punjab Kings alongside young pacer Arshdeep Singh ahead of the mega auction earlier this month.
A formal announcement is expected soon.
"In all likelihood, Mayank will captain the side. The announcement is expected later this week," an IPL source told PTI.
Punjab, who went into the auction with the maximum purse, made good use of the money by getting the likes of Shikhar Dhawan, Jonny Bairstow, Liam Livingstone, Kagiso Rabada and buying back left-arm spinner Harpreet Brar and explosive Tamil Nadu batter Shahrukh Khan.
Dhawan's name as captain was also doing the rounds but the management was keen on Agarwal as the leader even before the auction.
"Dhawan is a welcome addition to the side and was always on the radar at the auction. He is a champion player but it seems Punjab were keen on Mayank as captain ever since K L Rahul left the team," the source added.
Agarwal and Rahul formed one of the most prolific opening pairs in the IPL over the past couple of years. Rahul will lead Lucknow Super Giants this season.
Agarwal had captained the team briefly last year when Rahul was injured. Agarwal aggregated 400-plus runs in the past two seasons. He had made his IPL debut in 2011 and has so far played 100 games.
The 31-year-old has also played 19 Tests and five ODIs for India.
With a strong squad at their disposal, Punjab Kings are aiming to end their title drought in the IPL. Their only final appearance came way back in 2014. They finished sixth out of eight teams in last three editions.
