Blocking Ads on Mobile Devices
Blocking ads on our phones is way harder than it should be so I figured I'd make some recommendations. These are not the only options out there, just the ones that I know and use.
Please note that browser-level and system-level adblocking are complementary; you'll have the best experience if you use both of them together as they each block different things in different places. If you want a basic idea of how effective your combined adblocking setup is, you can visit this website in your mobile browser.
Lastly, there is some additional advice/info under the readmore if you're curious (EDIT: updated June 2024 to add info about sideloading altered versions of social media apps that don't contain ads on Android and iOS).
Android
Browser-Level
uBlock Origin (for Firefox)
System-Level (works in all apps, not just browsers)
AdGuard
Blokada 5 (completely free version) OR Blokada 6 (has some newer features but they require a subscription)
iPhone/iPad
Browser-Level
AdGuard (Safari extension; free for basic browser-level blocking, requires a subscription for custom filters)
System-Level (works in all apps, not just browsers)
AdGuard (requires subscription for system-level blocking)
AdGuard DNS only (this is free and does not require the AdGuard app, BUT I would only recommend it for advanced users, as you can't easily turn it off like you can with the app. Credit to this Reddit thread for the DNS profile)
Some additional info: browser-level blocking is a browser addon or extension, like you might be used to from a desktop computer. This inspects the HTML code returned by websites and searches for patterns that identify the presence of an ad or other annoyance (popup videos, cookie agreements, etc.). System-level blocking is almost always DNS-based. Basically whenever an app asks your phone's OS to make a connection to a website that is known for serving ads, the system-level blocker replies "sorry, I don't know her 🤷♂️💅" and the ad doesn't get downloaded. This works in most places, not just a browser, but be warned that it might make your battery drain a little faster depending on the app/setup.
Each of those types of blocking has strengths and weaknesses. System-level DNS blocking blocks ads in all apps, but companies that own advertising networks AND the websites those ads are served on can combine their services into the same domain to render DNS blocking useless; you can’t block ads served by Facebook/Meta domains without also blocking all of Facebook and Instagram as well because they made sure their ads are served from the same domain as all the user posts you actually want to see. Similarly, browser-level blocking can recognize ads by appearance and content, regardless of what domain they’re served from, so it can block them on Instagram and Facebook. However, it needs to be able to inspect the content being loaded in order to look for ads, and there’s no way to do that in non-browser apps. That’s why using both together will get you the best results.
These limitations do mean that you can’t block ads in the Facebook or Instagram apps, unfortunately, only in the website versions of them visited in your browser. It also means ads served by meta’s/facebook’s ad network in other apps can’t be blocked either (unless you're one of the rare beasts who doesn't use facebook or instagram or threads, in which case feel free to blacklist all Meta/FB domains and watch your ads disappear 😍; I'm jealous and in awe of you lol).
One note: some apps may behave unpredictably when they can't download ads. For example, the Tumblr app has big black spaces where the ads are, and sometimes those spaces collapse as you scroll past them and it messes up scrolling for a few seconds (UPDATE: looks like the scrolling issue may have actually been a Tumblr bug that they have now fixed, at least on iOS). Still way less annoying than getting ads for Draco Malfoy seduction roleplay AI chatbots imo though. And honestly *most* apps handle this fairly gracefully, like a mobile game I play just throws error messages like "ad is not ready" and then continues like normal.
One final note: on Android, you may actually be able to find hacked versions of Meta’s apps that have the ad frameworks removed. In some cases they are a little janky (unsurprisingly, apps don’t always take kindly to having some of their innards ripped out by a third-party), and they are often out of date. BUT in return you get an Instagram app with no ads whatsoever, and some of them even add additional features like buttons for saving IG videos and photos to your phone. However, use these apps at your own risk, as there is functionally no way to validate the code that the third-parties have added or removed from the app. Example altered IG app (I have not vetted this altered app, it's just a popular option): link.
It is technically possible to install altered apps on iOS as well, but Apple makes it much, much harder to do (unless you are jailbroken, which is a whole different ballgame). I'm not going to cover sideloading or jailbreaking here because even I as a very techy person eventually grew tired of messing with it or having to pay for it. If you're interested you can read more about the different ways to do sideloading on iOS here.

how to connect to wi-fi services in pokemon gen 4 (DPPT/HGSS)
it's still possible to access the wi-fi services of the gen 4 games after the official shutdown of nintendo's wii/ds wi-fi in 2013 due to fan efforts by changing your DNS settings in-game - this is called the DNS exploit. this is popularly used in gen 5 which really has no complications, but in gen 4 it's a bit more complicated because the games are So old that they can't connect to the internet through modern routers due to fancy modern internet encryption. the connection either needs to have no password, or have WEP encryption, which most modern routers do not support. i had some people asking me how to do this so here's a post lol
first, it should be noted i use the pkmnclassic service, and i think you should too. this gives you access to old mystery gifts as well as pretty much every other wi-fi feature. their website also allows you to view pokemon currently uploaded to either gen 4 or 5's GTS through your browser. once you get your wi-fi set up properly, connecting to the internet will be easy, but that setup comes first. below i am going to list all the options i am currently aware of and able to explain
option 1 - phone hotspot (easy/convenient, doesn't work for every type of phone)
some phone hotspots are able to use old WEP type encryption, or be password-less. if you have access to a phone hotspot, it's worth taking off the password if it lets you and trying to connect to the gen 4 wi-fi with it before trying any other method, since if it works it's super convenient, just turn on the hotspot any time you want to do something online in gen 4 and turn it back off when you're done. unfortunately this depends on the type of phone and what OS its on and i don't have a list of what phones or OSes are compatible, so good luck lol. mine personally is not, and i have a fully updated iphone
option 2 - guest wi-fi (a little less convenient but still easy if you have access to router settings)
in the same vein as phone hotspots, guest wi-fi hotspots can also work, and this is what i personally use myself. the catch is you have to have access to your router settings, so if you're a young person using a parents' router without access to those or some other situation like that, you may have to ask for assistance every time you want to turn this on/off, which could be a dealbreaker for some unfortunately. but if you're able to do that, simply make your guest wi-fi password-less and turn it on when you want to connect to gen 4 wi-fi and turn it back off when you're done. since these settings pages are so different per internet provider, i can't really give a guide on how to do that here, though mine through verizon fios is pretty straightforward. some guest wi-fi may not work for this but i think most should
option 3 - use an old router that supports WEP encryption (probably inaccessible for most, but only has to be set up once and then you're done)
i've done this in the past but i had my dad's help with the process, i cannot walk you through buying an old router lol. but yes if you purchase an old router and set that up you can have password protected gen 4 wi-fi permanently
option 4 - save backup + emulation through melonds (works pretty much 100% of the time if you have a hacked 3DS and some sort of PC)
MelonDS is a really great DS emulator that you can find here for windows/linux/mac: https://melonds.kuribo64.net/downloads.php
the basic idea is that you can backup your save file/game with a hacked 3DS using Checkpoint or TWLSaveTool (outside the scope of this guide but this is easy to do and you can walk through the steps here) and then run it through melonds, which can bypass all this WEP/encryption hell for you and simply connect to the internet. of course this is not very convenient if you have to constantly back up your saves to do wi-fi stuff but it's better than nothing if you have no other option.
unfortunately setting up the wi-fi can be a pain, and you also need DS BIOS files to run everything properly, which i cannot provide myself for legal reasons but they uh... aren't that hard to find lol, and you can back them up from an actual DS if you have access to the necessary tools for that.
if you use a windows PC, feel free to use my version of melonds which already has all the wifi shit set up, you'll just need to provide your own bios files under emu settings (it's a bit old but it works great for this purpose): https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DQotaqFuBwXz1KYdQWiwxghtn3faLgj-/view?usp=sharing
edit: just found out right after posting this that the most recent version of melonds might work out the box without having to do any particular wi-fi setup? so feel free to try it instead of my version if you like
if you are using linux/mac or don't want to use my version, you'll have to use the melonDS FAQ/google to figure it out, i'm sorry!
by the way yes, this means even if you don't have a gen 4 cart and solely play over emulator, you can trade/battle/etc with people who are playing on DS - they connect to the same servers!
okay and NOW once you have one of those options set up, you can actually connect to wi-fi in game by doing the following:
(these screencaps are from my capture card, i am doing this on an actual DS, but you can also do this with melonds if you're using that option)
step 1: navigate to "NINTENDO WFC SETTINGS" in the menu where you press continue on your save file, in-game. in gen 4 you need to do it here and not in your DS settings.
step 2: tap "Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection Settings" and pick any of the three connections here to start the set-up. if you already have some here, i'd click "erase settings" underneath to start from scratch.
step 3: search for an access point and pick your desired access point from the list that comes up, and put in a password if needed (this assumes you have set up your wifi properly at this point)
step 4: it will attempt a connection to the internet, and may or may not throw an error. regardless, the error doesn't really matter, you can just hit "OK" whether it's successful or not
step 5: go back into your new connection (the box that previously said "None" should now say "Ready") and scroll down until you see the option "Auto-obtain DNS" - change this to "No"
step 6: change the primary DNS to pkmnclassic's DNS, which is 178.62.43.212 - in layman's terms this will essentially let you connect to their servers instead of nintendo's, which are obviously down. as for the secondary DNS, either leave it at 0.0.0.0 or change it to the same DNS as the primary
step 7: now would be a good time for a connection test. tap "Test Connection" in the top right. there should be a successful connection. assuming there is a successful connection, congrats! save your settings and enter your game as normal. you'll need to go to the basement of any pokemon center and pick up your pal pad, then try entering the wi-fi club (middle NPC at the counter) to test it in-game and get your friend code.
if there isn't, try a few more times or get closer to your access point - sometimes it's not you, the service can just occasionally be spotty. if you keep getting errors, you can use this site to look up what the error code might mean. if you still can't solve the issue, you may have to try a different method of connection as listed above.
sorry i couldn't be more in depth but frankly i'm not an expert on this stuff either, i'm just doing my best. there are a couple other options for doing this, like taking the password off your modern home wi-fi, or bridging your connection to an old laptop/computer, but the first is particularly dangerous so i didn't want to include it in the list and the second is completely out of my league, i just know people have done it before
good luck feel free to ask questions but no promises i'll have answers. if you need troubleshooting help i'd recommend pkmnclassic's discord over me, they have channels for that stuff (yes i hate troubleshooting stuff moving to discord and not forums as much as the rest of you but it can't be helped lol)

Blockda 5 doesn’t appear to exist for iPhones. Any advice?
Use NextDNS. Per the app's description, you also need to create a (free) online account, set up adblocking on it, then connect that to your app:
You can set your configuration ID from your NextDNS account in the Settings to bring your blocking policy to your phone and get Analytics and Logs about your traffic.
If you do not have a NextDNS account yet, you can create one for free at https://nextdns.io.
I may have made other posts about it as well, search my blog for "iphone"

hello nina, I'm a different anon and I bring more adblocking knowledge. you mentioned your phone; do you have an Android? if so, I have GREAT news for you: you can just go to your private DNS mode settings and type in "dns. adguard-dns. com" (remove the spaces) and it'll block most ads on your phone, including apps (not just browsers)! it doesn't work for everything - YouTube for example is notoriously difficult - but it works for most things in my experience. you can actually set this up on most devices, including tablets and computers, and even your router if you have access to the settings (username and password are usually either on it or just admin and admin). if you want more info on this, google Adguard private DNS and they themselves have deeper explanations and tutorials. Furthermore, for YouTube specifically, there are a few options, and i recommend looking it up on reddit if you want to read about all of them. however, I personally use and recommend revanced, which you can find instructions for on r/revancedapp; with it, you'll end up with YouTube but better, because you'll get more options for settings, as well as adblocking and even sponsor blocking (as in, it'll automatically skip sponsor sections in videos), while still being able to log in to your account and get your regular sub box and playlists and stuff. lastly, please use Firefox as your mobile browser, bc it's just better and also you can install ublock origin on it. have a nice, ad-free day!
i have an iphone and this message was eye opening regarding how much i cannot do in it. i really don't think i can even access the whole dns shebang (i'm not even sure what that means to be honest. can you tell i'm not tech savy at all?) and the revanced app isn't available here either. and dude, i'd kill for that sponsor blocking. i have it on my laptop, that and no ads are the sole reasons why i spend so much time on youtube
i did just download firefox for my phone though. i've been using safari mostly because it's fine for me, and the icon is pretty (dumbest reason, i know). now i'm off to do a LOT of googling because i don't even know how to install extensions there
update after a quick google search: firefox extensions are not available on ios i see how it is!!!
#and to think i was a linux user at some point... how things changed jesus#but thank you sm!#anon#i don't even blame them for not wanting to mess with extensions in ios have you seen apple's policies?? insane#nina's mail#💌

iCloud Bypass - The Easiest Way to Unlock iPhone 13
iCloud Bypass is an online web tool that bypasses the iCloud activation lock. It is straightforward to use and has a user-friendly interface.Using iCloud Bypass, you can unlock your iPhone and iPad without entering an Apple ID and password. It is also safe to use, and there are no risks involved.
Introduction for iCloud Bypass
iCloud Bypass is a tool that enables you to unlock your device without having to enter the Apple ID or password. The tool is ad-free and works on both Windows and Mac computers.
Choosing the best iCloud Bypass tool depends on several factors, such as compatibility, ease of use, and price. However, the most crucial factor is the software’s ability to bypass the iCloud activation lock.
Another aspect is its customer support. Many iCloud bypass tools come with a trial version allowing you to try the software before buying. Some even offer a money-back guarantee.
Some online unlock services work by hacking into Apple servers and unlocking your device. Others require you to access and install software onto your computer.
iCloud Bypass is one of the best ways to remove iCloud lock from your iOS device without jailbreaking it. The process is easy and fast and can be completed within minutes. You can use it on various instruments and models, including iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
Unlock iPhone 13 using iCloud Bypass.
If you own a locked iPhone 13, you may wonder how to unlock it. There are several ways to do this, but the easiest is to use iCloud Bypass.iCloud Bypass is a tool that can help you remove an iCloud activation lock on an Apple device without the need to enter an iCloud ID and password. It is a straightforward process and can be done in just a few minutes.
However, there are a few things you need to keep in mind before using this tool. First, you need to understand what iCloud Bypass is and how it works. After that, you must access the software and install it on your computer. You also need to connect the locked device to your computer.
Once the application is installed on your computer, you must select your device and click “Bypass iCloud Activation Lock.” This will start the bypassing process. Once it is completed, you can use the device as a standard. Please do not disconnect the device until it restarts, and do not launch iTunes while this is happening.
More about iCloud Bypass
iCloud Bypass is a powerful software that helps you unlock the iCloud lock without a password. It is one of the most reliable iCloud bypass tools available on the market, and it is also virus free to use.
When you buy an Apple device, it comes with an iCloud activation lock to protect your data. This lock prevents unauthorized users from acquiring and using the device.Sometimes, you may come across second-hand iPhones or iPads still locked with the previous owner’s Apple ID. These devices can be challenging to unlock without a valid Apple ID and password.
However, it is possible to get around this security system. To do so, you need to change the iCloud DNS address on your iOS device. This method can be helpful in cases where you are purchasing a second-hand iPhone or iPad and don’t know the previous owner’s Apple ID or password. It also works if you have forgotten your own Apple ID and password.
What is the main reason for using this Tool?
Having an iPhone, iPad, or Mac that is locked due to iCloud activation is frustrating. But there are ways to unlock iCloud and access your Apple device.Using an iCloud Bypass Tool is the most efficient way to do this. It can remove the iCloud lock from an iPhone, iPad, or Mac in just a few minutes.
It is safe, legal, and fully guaranteed. It also comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
There are many iCloud bypass tools in the market, and it must be challenging to choose the right one. Here are a few to consider:
CheckM8 is a popular iCloud Bypass tool that allows you to remove the iCloud lock without jailbreaking. It works on a Mac computer and has a risk-free trial version.
Another tool is iSalvor which is available on Windows and Mac. It has a slick user interface and works on most Apple devices. Salvador also has a hassle-free trial to help you test it before purchasing a license.
The legal background of using iCloud Bypass
One of the most exciting aspects of Apple's iCloud is that anyone with an Internet connection can store and sync all their digital media. To prevent unauthorized access, the company has introduced an iCloud id lock that requires a password to be entered on startup. The iCloud id has helped curb the number of iPhones on the streets, but it has also given rise to a new industry - iPhone cloning. iCloud cloning is a lucrative business for enterprising thieves, coders, and hackers who scour the web looking for the latest and greatest. iCloud cloning has its pitfalls, and if you're not careful, your newfound wealth could be a squishy a$$ instead of a sparkling smartphone.
Advantages of using iCloud Bypass
iCloud is Apple's cloud-based service that keeps your data safe on all iOS devices. It can store photos, files, email messages, and much more. It also allows you to synchronize your devices so that the same information is available across them.
Whenever you set up your device after a factory reset or restore, it sends an activation request to Apple's server. This activates your device and enables it to use iCloud features, such as Find My iPhone, iCloud backups, and iTunes purchases.
You can bypass the activation process by using the iCloud DNS Bypass method, which changes the activation path sent from Apple's server to another DNS server for authentication. This means you can access your device without signing in with your Apple ID and password.
Bypasser is one of the best iCloud Bypass tools and is very easy to use. You can access a malware-free trial version to test it out and buy a license if you are confident it will work for your device. You can even buy a lifetime license to use it on as many devices as you like.
Conclusion on iCloud Bypass
If you own an iPhone or iPad, you know how frustrating it can be when the iCloud activation lock osmosis is in full force. Whether it's your iOS device or a second-hand one you've purchased, the iCloud activation lock is no fun.
The best way to get around it is to use a tool that is available ad-free on the internet and can easily unlock any Apple device. However, choosing the right iCloud unlocking app can be challenging, especially since there are so many options.
Luckily, we have reviewed seven top-rated iCloud Bypass tools and come up with a short list of the most important ones to consider. Before you can start your search, you need to be aware of the features and specifications of each product. That way, you can find the most relevant iCloud Bypass tool. That includes the legality of the software, its unlocking time, customer support, and other valuable features that will make your iCloud unlocking journey a success.
Finally, on iCloud Bypass
iCloud Bypass bypasses an iPhone/iPad’s activation lock using a software application. It is a popular method among iOS users and has helped many people to unlock their Apple devices.
However, the iCloud bypass process may harm your device in some ways. For example, it can allow other people to access your data. In addition, it may affect the performance of your device.
A few tools out there claim to bypass iCloud, but most of them are scams. They are usually designed to separate a desperate user from their money.
Some of them have been reported to cause damage to a device and can be easily hacked by irresponsible users. Therefore, choosing a legit iCloud bypass tool is a good idea.
Many methods can help you bypass iCloud, including iCloud DNS Bypass and CheckM8. iCloud DNS Bypass works by changing the activation path from the Apple server to another DNS server for authentication.

Favorite iOS Safari Extensions
On iOS (iPhones and iPads), Safari is the undisputed leader of the browsers, primarily because Apple puts very tight restrictions on other browser apps that makes it very difficult for them to offer the same features that Safari does.
Thankfully, you can install extensions to tweak Safari's behavior and customize websites, as long as your device is running iOS 15 or higher. Here are the Safari Extensions I use on a daily basis. Most are free (or at least have a free version), and all work on both iPhones and iPads.
For desktop computers and Android phones, you can also check out my recommendations for Firefox addons)
Last updated June 2024 (fixed broken Bypass Paywalls Clean userscript link, added recommended adblock and ublacklist filter lists)
Index:
AdGuard
Noir
uBlacklist
Userscripts
Sink It for Reddit
UnTrap
Vinegar
AdGuard
This addon is free if you just want to use the built in adblocking lists. For a small yearly fee, you can pay for "Pro" features, which allows you to add any custom adblocking list to the app, as well as providing DNS-based system-level adblocking that can block ads and trackers inside any app on your phone. Note that it gives you two options for the system-level blocking, local VPN and native DNS; using the VPN option can drain your battery faster than normal in my experience, so I recommend using the native DNS instead. Between AdGuard and the two YouTube-customizing extensions below, I haven’t seen an ad on YouTube in Safari in months.
Recommended custom filter lists (in addition to the built-in default lists):
Bypass Paywalls Clean
Huge AI Blocklist
Fuck FuckAdblock
Noir
Adds a dark mode to any website. It's using heuristics (fancy guessing) to figure out which website colors need to be changed so that it's properly darking, so sometimes it can make mistakes. In that case, it has a built in way to send a bug report to the developer, who is pretty responsive in my experience. You can also turn it off for specific sites right from inside Safari.
uBlacklist
This addon hides search engine results with specific domains. Example: you can hide images results from AI generator sites, OR if you search for tech support advice and one of those stupid auto-generated sites filled with SEO garbage but no actual information keeps popping up, you can use this addon to hide everything from that website, right from the Google/DuckDuckGo/other search results.
Recommended filter subscriptions:
Huge AI Blocklist
Userscripts
Allows you to install userscripts and stylesheets that customize website behavior or appearance. The addon can check for updates of your userscripts and uses iCloud to synchronize them across devices too, which is really nice. The userscripts I use are:
Bypass Paywalls Clean (removes news website paywalls)
Amazon Sponsored Products Removal (self-explanatory)
Redirect Fandom to BreezeWiki (bypasses ad-filled fandom.com domains for indie wikis or an ad-free proxy site. The link documents 2 userscripts with slightly different behavior; use whichever you prefer).
Sink It for Reddit
I switched to using Reddit in the browser only after the whole API/third party apps fiasco. AdGuard blocks the ads in the web interface, but there were still a lot of annoyances because Reddit constantly bombarded you with prompts/popups trying to get you to switch to their app so they could track you and sell you ads. Sink It for Reddit removes all of those popups and lets you customize the behavior of the Reddit website too (tapping a post can open it in a new tab, back to top buttons for long posts, and video downloads, among other things). Constantly being updated too, which is nice to see.
UnTrap (USD $1.99)
This extension cleans up the YouTube interface in the browser. You can hide Shorts, Explore, Trending, and multiple flavors of Suggestions (videos, playlists, etc.). It also has a content filter you can use to ensure you never see certain channels or even specific videos by ID, username, or keyword/regex. There are over 50 options you can tweak for the video playback page alone, so if you’re looking to remove an annoyance from YouTube in Safari on iOS, this is the addon for you. Note however that this is the first extension I’ve recommended that does NOT have a free version.
Vinegar (USD $1.99)
This extension replaces YouTube’s custom video player with a standard HTML5 one. This means that YT videos will play back using the standard iOS video player interface, including all of the accompanying benefits: better interface, Picture in Picture/popout videos work, videos continue playing in the background even if you leave Safari, etc.. I was even able to start a YouTube video in Safari, lock my phone, and then continue playing the video and hear the audio over my car’s speakers via CarPlay. These are all normally locked features reserved for YouTube Premium subscribers. You can also set a default quality that it will use so YouTube won’t use “auto” and set you to 360p just because you’re using a phone.

For anyone looking to minimize their ads on iPhone (because saying “just get android” is not an actual answer for some people)
AdGuard DNS can be installed directly into your phone so all your traffic is routed through there. Blocks ads on web and all your apps like mail apps etc. Does not block YouTube ads.
if you want to block video ads, the best way I’ve found is to use Brave and YouTube web.
To install AdGuard DNS:
Go to the link above IN SAFARI BROWSER ONLY (it doesn’t install if you use Firefox) and scroll down to option 2
you do NOT need to install their app
under option 2 open the Apple toggle
Download the link it sends you it will pop up “do you want to install profile” hit yes
switch to Settings, New Profile Added should be right at the top
install that sucker
enjoy your minimal ads experience 😊
i hate seeing people now making fun of those who care about privacy online. i've seen people saying things like "well they already have your data. what are companies going to do with it" and it's like, that's not the point. it's that companies /shouldn't/ be able to have my data and sell it. am i aware they probably already have my data? yes, absolutely. but i'm still going to try and keep them from monetizing it any further, why are we defending companies selling data they shouldn't have to begin with though?
#Got a new iPad recently and this was the FIRST thing I did#for the “get an android” crew: no 🙃 I do not have time to learn a new system when my work is sooo phone connected. Plus. New phone cost $#This is what works best for me and a lot of other people and we should be able to minimize ads as much as possible anywhere

其他:其他测过的电脑免费VPN:Hotspot Shield,WindScribe,ProtonVPN,TunnelBear,Hide.me …
VPN Master Free:
ISP(网络服务提供商)限制了VPN流量。

You can also block ads from a system level on android, and it's super easy! (You can do it on iPhone as well, but I don't use iPhone so I couldn't tell you how.) This means you can play games without constantly being interrupted by ad breaks or flashing ads loading in the corner of your screen! (Keep in mind, this does also include any ads you might voluntarily watch for in-game rewards, but you can easily turn it off to play that specific game and then back on again.) It's called a DNS.
You'll want to go to Settings>Network & internet>Advanced>Private DNS
Your phone will probably have either "None" or "Automatic" selected. In order to block ads, you will need to add another DNS to connect to. I generally use adblock.dns.mullvad.net because it's free and effective, but you can search for other options. Just make sure they're from a safe and reputable source
Reminder that you can block most ads on Android. yes, including youtube ads.
Steps: Download Firefox -> Install uBlock Origin extension.
That's literally it. Enjoy ad free web browsing while we still (barely) have it!

NordVPN a popular VPN service provider is giving away 1-year premium subscription to our readers. The winner of this giveaway will be able to use the NordVPN service for 1 year absolutely free. How Enter Contest? Win 1 Year Free Subscription For NordVPN What Is NordVPN? Based in Panama, which is known for not having any data retention laws, with 739 servers in 58 countries, a reasonable pricing and wide set of benefits including no logs policy, NordVPN is one of the top options to consider when choosing your VPN service provider. Read full NordVPN review here Main features No logs policy Located in Panama User-friendly interface P2P friendly Wide variety of servers Up to 6 simultaneous connections No bandwidth limit Own DNS servers Flexible payment system IKEv2/IPsec & OpenVPN security protocols Why do you need a VPN? If you are reading this review, you are probably aware of online privacy issues. If I am right, please jump into the next section for a NordVPN review. Here is a short explanation of VPN service for those not familiar with VPN services. VPN stands for a Virtual Private Network which secures your activity online by encrypting your data first and only then sending it to a chosen server. When using VPN, your IP address is hidden so that no one could spy on you or use your personal data for unwanted spam, advertising or identity theft. Another great thing about VPN that it allows you to bypass geographical restrictions and to access media content that may be not allowed in your country or region. Complete privacy and benefits NordVPN lets you to choose from 739 servers, located in 58 countries and also servers, customized for those who have specific online access requirements: Anti DDoS, Double VPN, Onion Over VPN, P2P for easy file sharing or popular Ultra Fast TV for online video streaming. Anti-DDoS servers protect your data from unexpected denial of service attacks while Double VPN is customized for taking extra care of your safety using double encryption and sending a connection through two servers instead of one. If you need a permanent IP address for frequent logins or particular page visits, you can also order a Dedicated IP for an additional fee. What is also good that NordVPN has its own DNS servers that prevent unexpected data leaks and a offers a useful kill switch option that shuts down certain applications in case of a sudden VPN disconnection. NordVPN supports all operating systems, has no bandwidth limit and offers up to 6 simultaneous connections which are more than enough to secure your desktop, mobile and home devices such as smart TV, game consoles, and routers. NordVPN accepts payments via PayPal, credit cards, or Bitcoin for those who want extra privacy. Simply choose one of three subscription options, download and install an app on your device and enjoy complete privacy online. Oh, and if you are one of those not willing to commit too fast, you will like their free 3-day trial to get comfortable with service and make up your mind. Although NordVPN website nicely points out its wide set of benefits and offers you a comprehensive service information, I found it a little bit difficult to find the downloads section which is hidden under the Tools and Information. After solving this matter, I successfully downloaded NordVPN to my Mac and iPhone and with a few clicks was ready to go. The app itself offers you a nice minimal interface and pleasant user-experience. I liked an interactive map where you can see all NordVPN servers and quickly pick one. You can also access a server list using menu section on the left or simply type in the server name in a search bar instead of scrolling the whole list. The app allows you to turn on automatic server connection or customizable Kill Switch which closes selected applications in case of sudden VPN disconnection. All you have to do is add applications you want to stop. First-time-users like me will find it useful to read a comprehensive
user guide, however, if you still have questions or experience any difficulties, you can use a direct email or live chat support option. Because of a wide variety of servers, multiple device support with no band limits and top notch security features NordVPN really stands out from the crowd. Overall, what impressed me the most is the fact that they take my privacy seriously and unlike most VPN providers have a super strict no logs policy - NordVPN does not monitor my online activity, does not store any of my login data so they could not share it with anybody even if they wanted to. This is the kind of approach you’d expect from your VPN provider.

How to Remove Activation Lock on iPhone/iPad Without Previous Owner
Are you struggling to remove the activation lock of the iPhone that you just bought from someone? Such a scenario is enough to kill your mood, but how’d one fix this issue? It’s worth mentioning that an activation lock is meant to safeguard an Apple device from unauthorized access. However, buying a used Apple device still linked to its previous owner can be frustrating. We get it; reaching out to the previous owner might feel bothersome. Therefore, we are going to discuss ways in which you can remove the activation lock without the prior owner’s intervention. Excited enough? Let us walk you through removing the activation lock without the previous owner. Part 1: Is Removing an Activation Lock Possible Without a Previous Owner? In short, the answer is yes, you can! But it’s not as simple as it sounds. However, you don’t have to worry about it that much because we are here to help! Activation Lock works with an iCloud account and can only be wiped out in particular conditions. Apple has extreme measures to ensure that devices that have been stolen cannot be used again by the thief, but if you don’t have access to the previous owner’s credentials, then you can unlock the phone. The most effective ones are contacting Apple Support, using DNS bypass methods, and using dedicated software like iToolab UnlockGo iPhone Unlocker. Part 2: How to Remove Activation Lock Without Previous Owner? Now that we know how to remove the Activation Lock without the previous owner is possible, let’s dive into some practical solutions. Way 1. Contact Apple Support The most legal way of unlocking your iPhone or iPad is by contacting Apple support. In most cases, Apple demands proof of ownership to help you remove Activation Lock, yet there are times they may help, including if you bought the phone second-hand or inherited it. Here is how you can do it: First, open the Apple Support page and explain your situation to them. There are times that the support team will require you to provide them with your purchase receipt, and at times, this is not easy, especially if you do not keep your receipt. What is essential here is to find out if Apple can remove the Activation Lock without any form of the purchase invoice. The answer to the question depends on your case and the company's policies. Some people said they could unlock it when they gave details, while others did not without proof. Way 2. Remove Activation Lock Using DNS Bypass The DNS bypass method is a free workaround to remove the Activation Lock without a previous owner. It doesn’t permanently unlock your device; it allows limited use, such as browsing the internet, using apps, and accessing limited settings. Here’s how you can do it: Restart your iPhone and choose the language and the country of your locality. Go to the Wi-Fi menu, ensure you do not input the password, and click on the small “i” icon next to the network you want to connect to. Clear the existing DNS and enter the following DNS based on your location: - USA: 104. 154. 51. 7 - Europe: 104. 155. 28. 90 - Asia: 104. 155. 220. 58 Once you have entered these details, returning to the input screen and connecting to the network would be advisable. However, if the device fails to turn on, press the ‘back’ button to go to the Wi-Fi page, where another link allows the device to work without full activation. This method, however, is not a perfect remedy; it can be helpful when you have to use some of the functions on the given iCloud without having the original iCloud login data. But you must remember here that it is just a temporary fix; thus, you may have to get a permanent one. Way 3. Using the iCloud Lock Removal Tool The third way is the use of the iCloud lock removal tool. If you are searching for a professional and suitable tool to unlock your iPhone or iPad permanently, consider iToolab UnlockGo iPhone Unlocker. This tool was developed for users who want to remove the iCloud Activation Lock without a password or a previous owner. Main Features of iToolab UnlockGo: It’s compatible with iPhone/iPad/iPod models running iOS/iPadOS 12.0-16.7. The tool is easy to use. With the on-screen instructions, you can unlock your device within five steps. Ecolab is a professional team. Therefore, the tool guarantees a high success rate of up to 99%. After removal, you can log into a new Apple ID to enjoy services. If you can’t find proof of purchase, iToolab UnlockGo is your best choice. You can install it on your Windows or Mac computer. Steps to Remove Activation Lock Using iToolab UnlockGo: Head over to the official website of iToolab and ensure you have installed the iToolab UnlockGo program on your Windows or Mac computer. Step 1: go to the main interface and choose “Unlock iCloud Activation Lock”. After that, click the “Start” button. Connect your device to the computer using a USB cable. Step 2: The tool will begin downloading the necessary firmware. This process may take a few minutes, depending on your internet speed. Step 3 Once the firmware download is complete, click “Remove Now.” Your device will automatically enter Recovery mode. You’ll then need to switch to DFU mode to continue. Step 4 After entering DFU mode, the tool will automatically begin jailbreaking. Step 5 To remove Activation Lock, you must reenter your iPhone into DFU mode. The tool will then unlock your device, which should take a minute or two. Part 3: How to Avoid Scams When You Remove Activation Lock As the popularity of the services rose, several fake websites, filled with disreputable services, stated that they would unlock a device. Unfortunately, most of these services are scams, and what they do is either take your money and produce no results or they get your details for malicious intent. Here’s how to protect yourself: Steer clear from the sites that promise to remove the iCloud lock without a previous owner. Such online services carry no assurance that the particular party will enjoy excellent results. Do not give your IMEI or serial number to organizations or people. Choose only the best tools, such as iToolab UnlockGo, which don’t disappoint and have a high success rate and support. People employ various methods to try and remove the Activation Lock, so it is always recommended to be cautious when using these methods for your safety. Your money and personal information can be lost from scams, so it is essential not to fall for them. Conclusion Removing the Activation Lock without the previous owner’s credentials can feel challenging but doable. Whether you contact Apple Support, attempt a DNS bypass, or use a trusted tool like iToolab UnlockGo, there are ways to remove the Activation Lock and regain access to your device. However, be cautious—plenty of online scams promise quick fixes but could put your personal information at risk. If you're after a fast, reliable, and secure solution, iToolab UnlockGo is a hassle-free way to unlock your device easily. Give it a try, and return to using your iPhone or iPad quickly!
