What's kind of phone I think each Carmen Sandiego character has:
Carmen: That limited edition red iPhone that came out a few years ago. Because it is red, along with a red case with a red pop socket on the back that keeps.falling.off. It's also mysteriously in perfect condition?
Player: A Google Pixel because he doesn't want to conform to the status quo of phone brands and claims he made it 'hack proof'. He sticks by it and claims it's better than any iPhone or Samsung on the market, but it's really not. And he knows that, we all know that. And no phone case because he literally can't find one for it because no one has a Google Pixel. So why make phone cases for a phone no one has?
Shadowsan: They got him an iPhone 12 Pro, big enough for him to use and see the screen because he has to view it from a distance as, and I quote 'The phone lights make his eyes blurry.' It also had one of those wallet cases mums have on their phones. He left it behind when he went on his sabbatical and got a Nokia brick and an international sim plan just for calls.
Zack: The most disgusting, feral, warped, sticky, crusty and shattered iPhone 6 in white you have ever witnessed in history yet it works completely fine despite the glass you find lodged in your finger when you use it and the centre button that is just an empty hole to the motherboard. REFUSES to get a new one because he doesn't want to lose the headphone jack and claims that apple removing it in the first place was cash grab and he will have no part in it. And honestly dam right zack I am with you there my man stay strong King xx
Ivy: She has a custom made franken-phone that is made up of various parts from all brands across the board. Alot of the parts donated from Devineaux's pile of fallen soldiers that met their doom between the 18-24 months he was actively chasing Carmen/VILE before VILE fell. Literally a beast and has a military grade case that she also crafted which she had tested. It is literally military grade, she has a certificate and everything.
Julia: Currently, a Lavender Samsung Ultra 23 256gb storage. She got it mostly for the cool pen it comes with, and because it's lavender. She updates her phone model every 2 years and sells the latter for almost the same price she bought it for because she keeps it in pristine condition. She's only ever cracked a phone once and it shook Julia to her core. It looked horrific in her opinion, the hair line crack so bad it made her gag when she brushed her finger over it. So now she always has a nice, strong silicone pastel purple case and screen protector over her phone which she cleans regularly.
Chase: He went through 6-7 phones during the 18-24 months while chasing Carmen/VILE before VILE fell. Before then and now after, he had whatever the latest phone was the year he got it regardless of the brand, about every 2-4 years or until it kicked the bucket. During that 18-24 months, he'd walk into a phone store, ask for the latest thing, and be on his way. Most of them died in his care before he even had the chance to take the back plastic off. Now, he's in far fewer situations that indanger his life or phone. Or if he is, takes the moment to hand his phone and wallet to whoever is nearby for safe keeping because he really likes the new one Julia picked out for him (which is just the same model as hers but black). Julia also being the one who made him get a case. He had no idea that phones came with their own clothing options.
Chief: Only uses holograms. But has a landline??????????????
Zari: She once owned a black Samsung A20 with a yellowing clear case back in 2015 before she was declared missing at sea? That's all the information I can get on it my sources tried their best sorry.
Brunt: Doesn't need it because she can project her voice across vast distances. Get her a rolled TV guide and she can blast your message from one side of America to the other 🇺🇸 yeehaw and also because she's scared those 5g mega hd3g Max phone microwave rays will melt her brain if she gets one of those flat things and slaps it to her face like an genz zombie.
Bellum: Has 17 Ipads all with different cases on them.
Cleo: She has other people do that phone thing for her so she isn't sure what kind of phone she has and I don't know either.
Maelstrom: A telepathic link chip he had installed into his brain to connect to cell towers. It doesn't really work... Or do anything... But it's in there so.... Yeah?
Dash: A Samsung flip BECAUSE ITS JUST AS PRETENTIOUS AS HE IS and so he can snap it shut to prove a point. He's been through like 10 of them because he snaps them closed too slay-ily damaging it. No case because I have no idea how you'd even get a case for it?? Like it folds? I don't know.
Paper Star: Lives off grid.
Sheena: A white iPhone 11 with a gold trim case that has a huge crack down the front. The back glass is completely shattered, but it doesn't stop her from endlessly scrolling through those insta reels about reviewing different tanning lotion brands.
Crackle: An oily iPhone with the most humongous case you've ever seen. You could drop it and it would bounce around like a ping pong ball. The grease that covers the lens gives his selfies an air brushed vibe to them that he just loves.
Mimebomb: An invisible 1970s orange rotary phone.
Neal: That mystic purple conch shell with the pull string from that one spongebob episode that answered questions or something. You know what I'm talking about don't make me pull up a picture.
Topo and Chev: They share one phone so covered in stickers you can't even tell what kind it is but its probably an iPhone. It's filled with couples selfies and can only work when permanently charging so it's always connected to a power bank that is also covered in stickers. Ugh.

Finally I cracked a phone screen. First time ever since I’ve had a smart phone. I’m careful about handling them, but something happened and I joined the crowd.
That phone still works. But it’s old and the cracks drive me nuts. A good excuse to buy a new phone. The old one I’ll keep for a backup.
Apple isn’t my brand. When phone shopping I sort of wish it was. You can pick which latest generation you want, with a small number of variations or sizes.
I am sticking with Android. At my local phone store, that gave me a choice of multiple brands. Each branch has too many models for my taste. I understand iPhone 12 versus iPhone 13. Samsung A54 versus Samsung S21? Please...
So I set a price point and made an appointment with someone to help me. The guy was super nice. Phone shopping reminds me of laptop purchasing. Decide how much memory you want, select a screen size, and set a price range. The brand doesnt matter much. That’s why the employee more or less shrugged his shoulders when I showed him the four similarly priced phones. It mattered little which one I chose.
So I picked one. I didn’t want to pay the store to transfer everything. The DIY process at home was easy and fairly fast. The only problem was I had to re-enter a lot of sign-on and password information. That was a pain. Luckily I had a source of all this information and didn’t need to re-set any passwords.
Now it’s 97% set up. I still have to tweak some apps. LIke the Ring doorbell app that keeps telling me someone is walking down my street--every 15 minutes, or the text messaging app that isn’t giving me sound notifications. Easy remedies, I’m sure, but I have to work, eat, sleep. Phone settings are an annoyance to me now.

The great Android vs Apple debate.
For years there has always been a debate on whether Apple or Android is best. It appears that a lot of people firmly sit in either camp. Some are even fanatical in their viewpoints.
You have people in the Android camp who will say those who prefer Apple, do not appreciate tech or are showing off or are stupid, hooked by marketing and brand image. There are people who will go as far as to even call anyone who owns an iPhone an ‘apple wanker.’
Then you have those in the Apple camp that may brand someone who owns an Android phone ‘poor’ or jealous.
Those statements are of course utterly ridiculous. These days the price of a flagship Android is on par with that of an iPhone if not more. Apple owners are not inherently trying to show off. Whilst Apple is somewhat of a status symbol people have a preference for Apple for a variety of reasons, simplicity, optimisation, convenience if friends and family all use iPhone and some just genuinely prefer Apple products.
I have bounced back and forth between both Android and Apple devices over the last 12 or so years. I don’t really have a strong opinion on either OS. However, I have been drawn back to Apple and I have come full circle. Here is how I got back here.
My first iPhone I ever had was the iPhone4 and I loved it. Before that I had BlackBerry- remember those?! I had my phone for just over a year and Apple released an update that bricked the phone. They couldn’t undo the update and it was out of warranty. Determined to prove that Apple was overrated and I switched to Android.
I started off with a Sony Xperia. It was budget, but popular amongst my age at the time and a nice looking phone. It survived being dropped in a bucket of water! Then eventually it started freezing, crashing, lagging to the point of being unusable. I was told I would have a better experience with a flagship Samsung.
I bought one and after 18 months of ownership the above issues happened again. Then I missed having an iPhone. I saved up for months and then I went and bought the iPhone 8. 6 years I had that phone for and it was perfect aside from the battery life. It only had issues during the last 6 months I owned it. I upgraded to the iPhone 12 and was left disappointed. It did not feel like much of an upgrade and it was a bit of a lemon.
I could not justify buying another £800+ phone so soon.I bought a mid range Samsung. I liked it. The design was super nice, camera fine. At the time I preferred it to my iPhone 12. I would go as far as to say it was better. Then 2 years later the security updates were cut short unexpectedly. Those Android software issues I mentioned earlier started rearing their ugly heads. I upgraded to the newer model and Samsung took a really nice mid range phone and destroyed it. The new design was chunky, clunky, the camera was worse, the hardware was horrible. One UI was buggy from day one. I should have returned it.
I gave up on Samsung and some people may say well you can’t compare the A range to the S range or A range to iPhone. Let’s be real here - not everyone can afford a flagship device or can justify buying something like the S25 Ultra. Most people don’t need it. The stats of the A range are more than suitable for most and the gap between the A and S range is ever tighter.
I then tried Honor and MagicOS was so much nicer than One UI. Not only that, the screen knocked anything else out of the park as did the battery and fast charging. It also did not develop any of the Android issues I mentioned before. It did sadly, have other issues with cellular and data connectivity, software support and poor camera. These issues were too much of a problem.
I dug my iPhone 12 out and it handled iOS 18 easily and as much as I couldn’t tolerate the small screen I found myself pining for Apple again.
I narrowed it down to 2 choices the Google Pixel 9 and the iPhone 16. I deliberated for days, posed the question on Reddit only to be continually told to buy a Samsung which was not only out of my budget but not what I wanted. I found numerous issues reported with the Pixel 9 and it’s frequently reported that the Tensor chip is very underwhelming. I also couldn’t use my HUAWEI watch with it.
As much as my Android experience had been poor my iPhone experience had been a disappointment at times too. I then discovered I could delete any stock iOS apps I didn’t want and install the Android/Google ones I did want including Google Photos. I customised my phone to give me the best of both worlds.
I also realised that any Apple device I have ever owned has far outlived anything else and has also (minus a couple of exceptions) been far less problematic than Android.
So I made my decision and I sit here typing this on my iPhone15 Plus with no regrets at all.
Whilst, not everyone shares my opinion or experience. People will have preference either way. Both have their pros and cons and it’s totally okay whichever camp you sit in. It’s only a phone after all. It’s not that deep.
I do however think I am starting to appreciate what Apple does well, its reliability, longevity and resale value are things I under appreciated previously. I may well end up an Android user in the future but I am back in the Apple camp….for now.

The Ultimate Guide to Selling Your iPhone: Get the Best Value Today
Are you looking to upgrade your iPhone or simply want to turn your old device into cash? Whether it’s an iPhone 11, iPhone 12, or even the latest iPhone 15, the process of selling your device doesn’t have to be confusing or time-consuming. With the right platform, preparation, and timing, you can turn your used phone into a great deal.
This in-depth guide will walk you through everything you need to know to sell your iPhone successfully and why The Tech Buyers is one of the best choices available.
Why Sell My iPhone?
Many people wonder whether it’s worth the effort to sell an old iPhone. Here are a few good reasons why it makes sense:
Upgrade without breaking the bank – Selling your old device helps offset the cost of a new one.
Declutter your space – Unused electronics often collect dust or end up forgotten in drawers.
Environmentally responsible – Selling your iPhone ensures it is reused or properly recycled, reducing e-waste.
Take advantage of strong resale value – Apple devices retain value better than most smartphones.
If you’ve ever thought, “Should I sell my iPhone or keep it as a backup?”, you’re not alone. But if it's just sitting unused, you're missing out on potential value.
What Factors Affect Your iPhone’s Resale Value?
Before selling your iPhone, it’s helpful to understand what impacts its resale value. Several factors come into play:
1. Model and Generation
The newer your iPhone, the higher its resale value. For example, an iPhone 15 will obviously be worth more than an iPhone 8. However, even older models like the iPhone X or iPhone SE can still fetch a decent price depending on condition.
2. Storage Capacity
iPhones with larger storage capacities typically sell for more. For instance, a 512GB model will bring in more money than the 64GB variant.
3. Physical Condition
Buyers look for iPhones in good cosmetic condition. Cracked screens, dents, and scratches may reduce the price. On the other hand, well-maintained phones can bring in top dollar.
4. Battery Health
Battery performance can influence buyer decisions. Devices with degraded batteries may be valued lower, while those with strong battery life are more appealing.
5. Carrier Lock Status
Unlocked iPhones are more versatile and can be used with any carrier, making them more desirable to buyers worldwide.
Steps to Take Before You Sell My iPhone
To get the best price and ensure a smooth selling experience, make sure you prepare your device properly. Follow these simple steps:
1. Back Up Your Data
Use iCloud or iTunes to back up all your contacts, photos, apps, and other personal data. You’ll want to restore this data to your new device later.
2. Sign Out of iCloud
Signing out of iCloud and disabling "Find My iPhone" is essential. If this step is skipped, the device remains locked and becomes unusable for the next owner.
3. Perform a Factory Reset
After signing out of your accounts, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Erase All Content and Settings. This will wipe the device clean.
4. Remove SIM Card
Take out your SIM card before sending the phone. If you’re switching to a new iPhone, you may need the same SIM.
5. Clean the Device
Wipe your phone with a microfiber cloth and ensure it looks its best. Presentation matters, especially if you're selling it online.
Where Can I Sell My iPhone?
There are many places where you can sell your iPhone, but choosing the right one can make a big difference in how much money you make and how easy the process is.
1. Trade-in Programs
Apple and many mobile carriers offer trade-in programs, but they typically give store credit instead of cash. It’s convenient but may not offer the highest value.
2. Online Marketplaces
Sites like eBay, Facebook Marketplace, and Craigslist allow you to sell directly to buyers. While these platforms may provide a higher payout, they also require time, effort, and sometimes negotiation.
3. Dedicated Phone Buyers
Companies like The Tech Buyers specialize in purchasing used smartphones. You get an instant quote, free shipping, and fast payments. It’s the easiest and most reliable method for many sellers.
If you’re thinking, “I want to sell my iPhone quickly and safely,” The Tech Buyers is a hassle-free solution that combines convenience with fair pricing.
Why Choose The Tech Buyers?
The Tech Buyers offers an easy, efficient, and trusted method to sell your iPhone. Here’s what makes it stand out:

All conditions accepted – Whether your phone is flawless or damaged, The Tech Buyers will evaluate and offer a fair price.
If your goal is to sell my iPhone without hassle, this platform is tailored for a smooth transaction.
How to Sell My iPhone with The Tech Buyers
Here’s a step-by-step overview of how the process works:
Select your iPhone model Visit the Apple section of the site and choose your exact iPhone model.
Answer a few quick questions Indicate the storage size, condition, and whether it’s locked or unlocked.
Get your instant quote The Tech Buyers will provide a quote based on your answers.
Ship your device Use the provided shipping label to send in your phone for free.
Receive payment Once the device is received and inspected, you’ll get your payment via PayPal, bank transfer, or check.
When Is the Best Time to Sell My iPhone?
Timing can significantly impact your payout. The best times to sell include:
Before new iPhone launches – Apple usually releases new models in September. Prices drop shortly afterward, so sell a few weeks before.
During back-to-school season – Students and parents often look for affordable phones in August and early September.
During the holiday season – Shoppers may be looking for deals on used electronics in November and December.
Selling at the right time ensures you get maximum value for your device.
Selling Broken or Damaged iPhones
Even if your iPhone is not working perfectly, it may still be worth money. Cracked screens, battery issues, or water damage don’t always mean your phone is worthless.
The Tech Buyers accepts iPhones in a variety of conditions:
Phones that won’t power on
iPhones with cracked screens or damaged casings
Devices with battery issues
Units with software problems or stuck in boot loops
If you’re asking, “Can I sell my iPhone even if it’s broken?” the answer is yes. Just be honest about the condition to get an accurate quote.
How Much Can I Expect to Get When I Sell My iPhone?
iPhone 15 Pro Max (excellent condition): $850–$950
iPhone 14 Pro: $700–$800
iPhone 13: $400–$500
iPhone 12 Mini: $250–$350
iPhone 11: $150–$250
iPhone SE (2nd Gen): $80–$130
Damaged or broken iPhones: $20–$200 depending on severity and model
Keep in mind that prices can fluctuate due to market demand and Apple’s new product releases.
Common Mistakes to Avoid When Selling Your iPhone
Avoiding these common mistakes can help you get the most value from your device:
Not wiping your data – Leaving personal info can be a privacy risk and deter buyers.
Failing to include accessories – Original boxes, chargers, and even cases can increase resale value.
Not researching the buyer – Stick with reputable platforms to avoid scams.
Misrepresenting the condition – Always be honest. Misleading listings often result in lower payouts or returned items.
Being well-prepared ensures a smooth and profitable sale.
Final Thoughts
Selling your iPhone doesn’t have to be difficult or stressful. With the right platform, like The Tech Buyers, the process becomes quick, safe, and profitable. Whether your iPhone is brand-new, gently used, or even damaged, there’s likely still value to unlock.

The Eco-Friendly Choice: Buying a Refurbished iPhone 12 at MobileGoo
Introduction
Technology has become a part of daily life but has also contributed to environmental problems. Electronic waste is growing, and its impact on the planet is significant. One way to reduce this issue is by choosing refurbished devices. Buying a refurbished iPhone 12 from MobileGoo is an excellent option for those who want to be eco-friendly while enjoying the latest technology. This blog will explain why purchasing a refurbished iPhone 12 is beneficial and how it supports a sustainable future.
What is a Refurbished iPhone 12?
A refurbished iPhone 12 is a device that has been used before but has been restored to work like new. Professionals inspect, repair, and test these devices to ensure they function correctly. At MobileGoo, refurbished iPhones undergo a strict quality check before being sold. This process ensures that customers receive a reliable and high-quality device at a lower cost.
Environmental Benefits of Buying Refurbished iPhones
1. Reduction of Electronic Waste
When old phones are thrown away, they contribute to electronic waste, which harms the environment. These devices contain toxic materials that can pollute land and water. Purchasing a refurbished iPhone 12 gives an old device a second life, reducing waste in landfills.
2. Conservation of Natural Resources
The production of new smartphones requires raw materials such as metals and minerals. Mining these resources harms ecosystems and contributes to pollution. Choosing a refurbished iPhone 12 reduces the demand for new materials, helping conserve natural resources.
3. Lower Carbon Footprint
Manufacturing new phones releases a large amount of carbon dioxide into the air, contributing to climate change. Refurbished phones do not require new production, which helps reduce carbon emissions. Buying a refurbished iPhone 12 from MobileGoo supports a greener planet.
Cost-Effective Choice
1. Lower Price
Refurbished iPhones are sold at a lower price compared to brand-new ones. At MobileGoo, customers can get an iPhone 12 for a much more affordable price without compromising quality. This makes advanced technology accessible to more people.
2. Quality Assurance
Many people worry about the quality of refurbished phones. At MobileGoo, all refurbished iPhones go through a thorough testing process. Any defective parts are replaced, and software updates are installed. Each device is tested to ensure that it works perfectly before being sold.
3. Warranty and Customer Support
Buying a refurbished iPhone 12 from MobileGoo comes with a warranty. If any issues arise, customers can receive support and repairs. This provides peace of mind and makes refurbished phones a safe investment.
Performance and Features of a Refurbished iPhone 12
A refurbished iPhone 12 offers the same performance and features as a new one. It includes:
A Powerful A14 Bionic Chip ensures smooth performance and fast processing.
Dual-Camera System: The advanced camera system can capture High-quality photos and videos.
5G Connectivity: Faster internet speeds and better connectivity are available.
Super Retina XDR Display: The screen provides bright colors and sharp details.
iOS Updates: The latest software updates are supported, ensuring a great user experience.
How MobileGoo Ensures Quality
At MobileGoo, all refurbished iPhone 12 devices go through a detailed refurbishment process. The steps include:
Inspection: Each phone is checked for physical damage and internal issues.
Repair and Replacement: Faulty components are replaced with high-quality parts.
Software Update: The latest iOS version is installed.
Testing: The device is tested to ensure it works properly.
Cleaning and Packaging: The phone is cleaned and packed safely before being sold.
This strict process guarantees that customers receive a high-quality product.
Contribution to a Sustainable Future
1. Encouraging a Circular Economy
A circular economy promotes the reuse of products instead of throwing them away. Refurbishing phones extends their life and reduces waste. By buying a refurbished iPhone 12, customers support a system that values sustainability.
2. Supporting Ethical Practices
Many new smartphones are made under poor working conditions. Choosing a refurbished phone reduces the demand for new production, which can help minimize unethical labor practices in manufacturing industries.
3. Setting an Example for Others
Making eco-friendly choices influences others to do the same. For example, people may choose sustainable options when they see the benefits of buying refurbished devices. This small change can create a significant impact over time.
Conclusion
Buying a refurbished iPhone 12 from MobileGoo is an innovative and eco-friendly choice. It helps reduce electronic waste, conserves natural resources, and lowers carbon emissions. In addition, refurbished iPhones are more affordable and offer excellent performance. With MobileGoo’s strict refurbishment process, customers receive a high-quality device with warranty and support. Choosing a refurbished iPhone 12 is a way to save money and a step towards a more sustainable future. Individuals can enjoy advanced technology while protecting the planet by making this choice.

iPhone 12 Pro Max vs. iPhone X: Which One Should You Rent?
Choosing between renting an iPhone 12 Pro Max and an iPhone X depends on your needs, budget, and preferences. When you plan to rent an iPhone X or 12 Pro Max, both iPhones offer great features but cater to different users. Let’s compare them to help you decide which one to rent.
Key Differences at a Glance
Why Rent an iPhone 12 Pro Max?
Better Performance: The A14 Bionic chip ensures faster speeds and smoother multitasking.
Superior Camera: Ideal for photography lovers, with Night Mode and LiDAR for better low-light shots.
Larger Display: Great for streaming, gaming, and productivity.
5G Connectivity: Future-proof if you need faster internet speeds.
Why Rent an iPhone X?
Budget-Friendly: Cheaper to rent, making it a good choice for short-term use.
Compact Design: Easier to handle with a smaller, yet still vibrant OLED display.
Reliable Performance: It handles daily tasks well, though it is not as powerful as the 12 Pro Max.
Final Verdict
If you want cutting-edge features, a bigger screen, and 5G, rent the iPhone 12 Pro Max. But if you prefer a more affordable, compact iPhone with decent performance, the iPhone X is a solid pick.
