I revisited Iothera recently and found that I'm still in love with it years later. Thank you for making it!! Do you have any plans to continue working on it?

i want to either return to it or at least revisit those ideas and characters in some form or other (as i've mentioned on here a few times, i have very complicated feelings about comics as a medium-- and even more complicated feelings about the current state of webcomics but those also apply to basically every form of telling stories on the internet in a way and in a place where people will read them)

but at the same time it's not really realistic to think about that too much until i'm done with byzLP, since right now that's consuming most of my 'telling stories with words and pictures' energy so taking on a second project on that scale is ill-advised

but. some day. some day i want to do something.

I've loved reading and rereading Iothera for years. Is it officially done, or do you think you'll return to it?

i really want to do something with iothera, even if i feel like i've been terminally burnt out on comics specifically for years now

i'll maybe have more clarity on this after i finally finish byzLP so i don't have to hold two sprawling and complicated projects in my head simultaneously lol

also if i were starting iothera in tyool 2024 i feel like i would have had takako vape instead of smoking her dumb clove cigarettes because that feels very on-brand for her

even though i don't smoke i feel like i draw or write characters who smoke pretty often because it's a visually interesting thing for them to do with their hands. smoking cigarettes is inadvisable but it can also be narratively evocative
