“Can you please stop by the clinic before we go any further?” Her voice mail had said. He was standing in front of the building, biting his lip and staring up at the sign. He’d been standing there for ten minutes, reading that sign. He’d managed to come to the door, but going inside?

What if she said “no”, because he was too dangerous? What if she said “no” because he was just overreacting and just a kid? Adults get therapy. Not kids. He should never have turned in that stupid form. He should leave, before he wastes her time.

Instead, he reaches for the door, reminding himself not to break the handle as he pulls it open. He had already broken two cups this morning when he tried to eat breakfast, before he gave up.

He’s in his civilian identity, so at least he’s able to pull his hat down some as he walks inside. “Hello? Miss? You there?” He stepped further inside, letting the door swing shut behind him. He’s all nervous energy, tapping his feet, fidgeting with his hat, clenching and unclenching his hands, anything to keep from bolting like he really wants to.

       DAMN   , it was dark. Why’d it have to be darkness ?  She’s never been much of a fan... And in Archimedes, where an ominous swirl of wind and lightning has hovered all day, the darkness that comes with nightfall is... Unnatural. Thicker than it’s ever been. It’s almost too much to stomach... It’s comforting, though, to know she has her eyes back --- in case she needs them, you know ?

       For now, though, the light of her not-scroll Scroll will work. It illuminates up to a few feet in front of her, so... Hopefully that’ll do.

          ❛   Eh, uh --- Hello ??  I heard there was some kinda safe place near here... ?   ❜    Ruby does her best to project her voice, trying to make it audible over the surging storm. She needs to regroup --- and she needs to know there’s a place here, among these ghastly and empty buildings, to bring people that need a shelter.

         ❛ hfey, cvan you help me? ❜ sandwiched between his lips, armpits and arms are packages of... heart shaped chocolates? someone told him that in the limited edition chocolates was an even rarer toy. and while this monkey faunus was neither a fan of chocolate or toys, sun figures he might as well help others in their search for the super, ultra rare mini ofiuco toy -- that is, if it even exists. but there’s no way to know for sure unless he, along with the help of this woman get to the bottom of this pile, which he now drops to the ground.
