this is not gonna fit anywhere in the durgewyll extravaganza I am writing down but I like the idea that after the murderous urges turned out to be very real everyone tried to help in their way because this weirdo is their weirdo now

and gale's first natural instinct was to help with magic but came up with nothing particularly useful, so he followed his second natural instinct that is like "let's make him his favourite meal" but then remembered dorian's talking wistfully about roasted dwarf

and he's like okay, cannibalism bad, but if dorian can use his murder urges for good maybe if gale makes a meal that tastes like roasted dwarf then dorian will never be tempted by cannibalism again?

and then at this point gale loses the plot in his attempts to recreated the taste of roasted dwarf. he suceeds. they find out because dorian shouts "This tastes exactly like roasted dwarf!" at dinner and now everyone is faced with a moral dilemma because it does indeed taste good and it's not technically roasted dwarf but

(the cannibalist allegations are immediately smoothed out by wyll commenting on the fact that dorian must have been in a very bad place in his life before if he had to resort to cannibalism. I mean, he's not wrong.)
