Normally, actors have a few weeks to rehearse for a musical’s touring production.
Jillian Mueller had just two days to step into the lead role of “Baby” in the national touring production of “Dirty Dancing” that Broadway Theatre League presents Saturday and Sunday at the Morris Performing Arts Center.
Fortunately, she originated the role for this tour three years ago.
Mueller left her role as Baby after six months to pursue other projects and shows — she recently finished a workshop for the upcoming Broadway production “The Cher Show” and rejoined the “Dirty Dancing” tour soon after to replace the injured lead actress.
“I was playing young Cher in the workshop,” she says. “I had already finished up and I was auditioning for film and television, and that’s when I got the call.”

Goshen dulcimer player rules Facebook world with Tears for Fears
See on Scoop.it - ResQ Records | Midwest Music and Entertainment, Indiana
Calls and the emails have been pouring in to Goshen's Ted Yoder, the hammered-dulcimer player whose folksy, casual jam session with bandmembers from Tears for Fears went viral last week.
Idris Busari's insight:
"Yoder began playing the dulcimer in 2007 following a car accident. After earning the national title in 2010, his reputation continued to rise. According to Yoder's biography on his webpage, he was profiled by the Internet publication Kearney Hub and on National Public Radio's All Things Considered. So, he wasn't exactly nervous when Smith and Wollam showed up at his door."--- #IntheBend #SouthBendTribune
