Pokud nějaký Eurovision fanoušek ještě neví o Intervizi, měli byste…
Československo ji vyhrálo dokonce třikrát, protože jsme tam měli legendy jako Helenku Vondráčkovou, Neckáře a Gombitovou.
Tumblr media
Navíc mi to přijde jako největší pomaz, že sovětský blok měl vlastní eurovizi :D
vyhledávat o tom informace je poněkud složité a hledání záznamů ještě víc, ale něco se najít dá

Eurovision Fact #682:
Tumblr media
Russia has planned to revive the Soviet-era Intervision Song Contest as a response to their indefinite ban from the Eurovision Song Contest.
Russia has attempted to revive the contest before in 2014, but the contest was then pushed to 2015 before ultimately being cancelled. Now, the Intervision Song Contest was planned for 2024, but it has now been pushed to early 2025.
Six nations, aside from Russia, have confirmed their participation. Those nations are: Azerbaijan, Belarus, Brazil, China, Cuba, and Kazakhstan.

Tehnologia.
the truly annoying thing about the eurovision voting system (cough cough the jury) is that televoters PAY to vote for the winner. you’ve got people all over the world literally coughing up money per vote to show support to an artist and the jury STILL HAS MORE POWER. isn’t the entire point of eurovision entertainment for the viewer and “uniting the world through music”? how are you encouraging people to watch your show when their supposed say in the winner (which you charge them for) means nothing in light of the overly political jury system where countries get points regardless of their song or performance? how is it appealing to crown the winner as someone who wasn’t the most popular with the audience just because the jury bolstered them with points?
anyway cha cha cha as always

Auxiliar-Mnemostabilisator-Replika (Prototyp) - 'Amsel' - (Auxiliary Mnemostabilizator Replika (Prototype) 'Blackbird') Type: Generation 6 High-tech Bioresonance Specialist Frame: Biomechanical with Polyethylene Shell Height: 170 cm
Exclusive for VVH Program facilities on Vineta, Amsel prototype is a new step into the brighter future of Eusan Nation's people.
These bioresonant units serve as psychologists for Gestalts of the facility, providing humanitarian approach to them while helping them adapt in their liberated home. They also work as Protektor assistants, taking their part in control work of the facility staff.
Amsels' soft, empathic demeanor and friendly but distant approach make them perfect for executing their main function: memory stabilisation. Their specific Bioresonance module is able to alter memories in an unnoticeable way. They wield an approved set of memories, which are implemented into Gestalt's mind. With that, Amsels are a great help in reducing adaptation issues, such as defection, facility work disruption and rioting.
- Known issues -
As Amsel units are Prototypes, we are only to discover and fix their flaws. However, testing period revealed some issues, which, while being fixable, might disrupt facility work if not supervised.
Being a Bioresonant model, Amsels wield an unstable neural pattern susceptible to others' influence. Although they usually do not amplify and broadcast emotions, they work with memories – which means they are in constant risk of provoking their own Persona degradation. This risk is especially high with other Replika units. Hence, it is recommended to limit Amsels' contacts with them and keep them busy working with Gestalts.
Amsels make a united, harmonious Cadre which is able to stabilise itself via regular intervisions. Having enough intervision time every cycle is a must for these units, as they share their experiences and knowledge, process and regulate each other's emotions and help erasing troublesome memories. One degraded Amsel may drag the others down quickly through memory sharing, which would lead to the whole Cadre decommission.
Because of their original neural pattern, Amsel units are inquisitive and wilful. They require a strict schedule with an exact amount of time for any action. They also must have constant access to their Fetish objects – incenses – to define their workspace.

Lapponia is a banger.
Alas, the weakest link of Finland's 1977 Intervision performance is Kirka's vocal performance. Overall the song is amazing, especially when performed by a large orchestra like that, but Kirka is far from top form.
Amazingly, I have never heard this original version of Liehuva liekinvarsi.
Finland's entry into the 1977 Intervision was Kirka and the song Neidonryöstö
youtube
Which was also the B-side of the single release of the song "Liehuva liekinvarsi" (both sides performed by Markku Blomqvist) that was one of the candidates for Finland's Eurovision entry in the same year of 1977. It was actually very unusual at the time to record a Eurovision entry that wasn't even chosen for the contest but I'm glad they did because I really like it. It's a disco murder ballad and one of my karaoke favourites (although the backing tracks are based on an awful 1980s cover version).

And this post is about T.
Last week I'd forced myself to write to her. I... forcefully... connected inside. It turned out that I was upset about quite a few things, but the things that came to mind first were about my mum. (1) How my body is starting to look so much like her's and it feels awful; (2) Memories of being locked out of the house: (3) Gypsy Blanchard's release from prison and how people are responding to that.
I also shared some lyrics that reminded me of the whole ordeal when I was a teenager. At some point I got so desperate. So, so desperate and lost and alone.
"I had a dream that I was hitting my dad with a baseball bat/and he was screaming and crying for help/and maybe half-way through it became more about me killing him/than it ever was protecting myself/and yeah, dad, maybe no one is perfect/but I believe that you were pushing your luck."
T seemed to have thought about the things I wrote. She wanted to talk about it for like an hour. She shared a song that reminded her of getting out of a freeze state. I don't really remember very well what she ended up asking or telling me.
I think she was trying to acknowledge/recognize my pain?? But since I wasn't connected to the right parts anymore, it just felt a bit weird. She said that, as she is learning more about my story and the deeper meaning of things, she is - only now - recognizing *how* hard it must have been. How painful and how alone. And how hard it must be to open up.
I said that it's not so hard to be open, anymore. And she pointed out the extra layer of potential painfulness/paradox in that, that only *now* it is recognized how hard it must have been, when it is not as hard anymore. When I am more knowable for her. Which grazes open more loneliness...
We also talked a bit about values. And about work. Setting boundaries.
I mentioned how I've lost touch inside, with other parts. And we came to the verbal agreement that I can email her once a week. Somehow I really needed to hear explicit permission for that again. It's not too much work. I'm not asking too much. I can do this if it is helpful to me and I can use it as a means to force myself to reconnect inside.
Oh, and at some point, earlier in the session, T asked why I sent the writing. It was to reconnect inside, to work on things that come up, and I guess also checking again if maybe now she is ready to work on this. To work with the fox, for example. And Thankfully!!!!! she didn't take it as criticism. I didn't mean it like that at all. It's just realistically something I wonder about at times - is she ready for this (because if she's not, it's not going to help me anyway). She got what I was talking about! And I shared an article I found about working with persecutory alters and she asked if she could share it in a little intervision group she does about dissociation. So that's pretty cool as well. I hope she will learn more and get more comfortable with the subject.
We talked about creativity a bit more and then time was up.

How is AI Transforming the Recruitment Industry?
The recruitment industry is constantly evolving. Technology has a significant massive impact on the way recruitment agencies operate and the services they offer. In particular, the rise of artificial intelligence (AI) has changed the recruitment landscape in several ways.
Recruitment agencies are using AI-powered solutions to automate various tasks, such as candidate screening and interview scheduling. These solutions help design recruitment more efficiently and to help agencies save time and money.
In addition, AI is being used to help identify the best candidates for job openings. By analyzing a candidate’s skills, experience, and qualifications, AI-powered systems can match them with the best fit for them.
The use of AI in recruitment is still in its early stages, but it is clear that it has the potential to revolutionize the industry. In the coming years, we can expect to see even more AI-powered solutions being developed and adopted by recruitment agencies.
The changing landscape of the recruitment industry
The recruitment industry is in a period of rapid transformation. Companies are embracing new technologies and strategies to remain competitive. AI plays a significant role in this transformation, allowing recruitment agencies to automate various tasks and identify the best candidates for job openings.
In recent years, AI-powered solutions have been developed that allow recruitment agencies to quickly scan through large numbers of resumes and identify the most qualified candidates. This enables recruitment firms to save time and quickly remember the right people to review every application manually.
AI-powered solutions are interview scheduling and provide candidate performance feedback back on candidate performance. This helps to streamline the process and ensures that the right people are invited to intervisibility also being used to simplify the onboarding process, automating the paperwork and compliance steps.
How artificial intelligence is being used in recruitment?
Recruitment agencies are using AI in a variety of ways. AI-powered systems can automate screening and quickly identify the most qualified candidates for a role. This eliminates the need for a manual review of every application and enables recruitment agencies to shortlist the best applicants quickly.
AI is also used to identify the best candidate for a role based on their skills and experience. By analyzing candidates’ qualifications and other data points, AI-powered systems can match them with the jobs that best fit them. Production music is something I'm often fixated on.
And I have a light-up moment whenever I find two pieces of music in the same place.
SOUNDS UNUSUAL is a DeWolfe library LP from 1975, and contains two tracks that I've heard somewhere, both composed by one Derek Scott...
The first of which is 'Fugarock'...
youtube
... which is used in the original DAWN OF THE DEAD from 1978, directed by George A. Romero.
The film in that iteration, as there exists an alternate cut created by Dario Argento with a wholly different soundtrack by the Italian prog-rock group Goblin, used a lot of production music from DeWolfe. That whole library is where the iconic 'The Gonk' came from, which is practically synonymous with this film.
In DAWN OF THE DEAD, 'Fugarock' is used in a shopping montage that gradually gets more and more feverish as it goes on.
youtube
Actually, that crash sound effect heard in the Atari game Roger is playing, F-1, is a classic sound effect that I've heard in multiple places. Certain episodes of THOMAS THE TANK ENGINE, a Moby Grape song called 'Motorcycle Irene', the list goes on.
The next piece is 'Telex'...
youtube
All the logophiles probably recognize that one, eh?
This was used for a logo by a home video company called Alpha, and debuted in 1981.
youtube
Apparently, Alpha put out DAWN OF THE DEAD on video in the UK back in the day, in the lead-up to the video nasties panic. Now how about that?
Alpha was in partnership for a little while with InterVision, another early UK home media company... Here's their logo from the late 1970s...
youtube
Groovy piece of music, huh?
That's 'Daytripper', composed by Brian Bennett and Alan Hawkshaw, off of the 1974 Themes library LP SYNTHESIZER AND PERCUSSION.'
youtube
Hey, you know what else Brian Bennett composed?
youtube
... Recognize that? It, and two other tracks from the COUNTERPOINT IN RHYTHM LP (from the Bruton library) - 'Finesse' and 'Chateau Latour' - were used in Pixar's LUXO JR.
Alan Hawkshaw happened to compose the following in 1983 for Bruton...
youtube
For the VIDEO ORCHESTRA LP, this was largely used by Disney in trailers for THE RESCUERS DOWN UNDER in 1990. The theatrical trailer, along with the sneak peek that appears on the PETER PAN VHS and the home video preview seen on the VHS releases of THE JUNGLE BOOK and ROBIN HOOD in 1991...
youtube
Oh wow, this circled back to Disney and animation... Bruton is where Steve Gray's 'Great Ovation' came from, from the 1983 TELEVISUAL LP...
youtube
... and now, our feature presentation...
