A Midnight Exorcism

The manor was quiet as the quartet slunk around in the dark. Tessa held the USBfix in one hand and a candelabrum in the other, her nightgown swishing against her ankles as her bare feet padded along the wooden floor. The lightning from the storm outside flashed, causing the shadows cast by the quartet to appear longer, tree branch and barred window creating interesting shapes on the four.  “Keep an eye out,” Tessa warned quietly, “Any hint of yellow an’ you lot lemme know, kay?” Three nods gave affirmation as the shadows twisted and turned around them. Every dark corner carried a threat, every turn in the hall carried a danger. But, the worries were unfounded. The Solver was nowhere near.

Pay no attention to the shadows...for surely they don't mean anything. Right?

HOOOOO MY GOD FINALLY THIS IS FINISHED! So this was my absolute favorite drawing that I had done like...ever. It was the one that I was actually proud of. And when I got the new tablet I was like "I wanna redo this one."

This was also completely free handed...unlike with the JS DDs which I traced because SCREW doing their legs and arms again.

Many thanks to @ahonokio and @audiart for all the advice and help! They put up with my uhhhh inaptitude in layers and this program. Both of them probably shaking their heads going "Lady wtf..." when I drew this on a dark canvas and went "Heeeey guyyyys? How do I make this transparent so I don't cry when I paste the manor crew in?"

I have learned my lesson...always sketch on a different layer that overlays the pattern...

So yeah, spoilers for IR but here's our poor poor spazz whose life ended far too soon. I know she looks a bit gangly and awkward but...she's supposed to. Malnourished teenager.

My first time drawing the skinsuit and I...honestly think I did a good job!

I haven't drawn Cyn for IR because I mean...it's legit just canon manor Cyn.

Hey y'all, so those reading iNtersubJeCtiVe requital right now met Serial Designation T and her fluffiest of fluffy ponytails. Well, she belongs to this AMAZING guy right here and he gave me permission to use her for IR. So if you wanna see more of T (and of Levi!) please go check this story out. It's one of my favorites and I'm honored beyond words to have been able to use T for this recent chapter of IR.

The ache and pain in my chest for wanting to write something heartbreaking...but...

I don't have a drive to put a character through it.

This is a problem because the character drives the scene for me. :/ SO! Expect whatever I post next to probably have something to tug at the ol' heartstrings.

Me: Draws Tessa on a whim.

Also me: Feels daggered expectant look from someone I know because I drew her and now I have to complete a certain set that I drew long, long ago...

I am not looking forward to attempting to draw IR Tessa...

But I had the coolest image/sequence to do. It would take me...forever. Because I'd have to come up with a few other character designs as well. Ughhhhhhhhhhh....

I've no problem when people say they don't like a story I've done. I've no problem when people say they don't like the characters I've designed to not be good people in this instance...

But I don't like when people say it's a r*tarded thing that I'm doing with these characters and that my readers are dumb@sses for wanting certain people groups to kick the bucket (in this case, humanity). Do not use that language in my comment section. No one is being hostile to you, you certainly do not need to be hostile yourself especially unprovoked.

I was very clear on my stance with the story. That the protagonists are just that. Protagonists. They're not heroes, they're villains. There is unfortunately a difference. It's a "Jeeze I hate these guys but they're well written and I love them." type story. I'm not saying what side you should root for...but I'm saying what side is winning.

Above all, keep your comments clean and considerate. That is all.

So...lil bit of a spoiler/teaser for the new IR chapter...mainly because I'm proud of it and because I'm also just...heartbroken as heck after writing it.

“Nothing!?” J demanded, “Did nothing happen when you stabbed It with the applicator gun? Was it nothing that happened to the Mildenhalls? Did nothing happen when you refused to take the blame for It dumping food on your mother’s chest? Was it nothing that happened to N? Or when we found out about that Thing! Did nothing happen to V, to me, because we went after it!? Boss…if you don’t stop…It will kill you. And I…” she was shaking, trembling with restrained fury and terror as the hollow ivory rings turned up to face Tessa, “I cannot, in good faith, believe that Cyn would want that for you. Because I sure as hell do not. And I’d like to believe…that I knew my senior coworker better than to believe she would be ok with our most precious asset, our Tessa, to throw her life away like the trash her parents believe her worth to be.”

Been writing so much manor crew and manor era stuff it took me a hot minute to remember how to write Uzi.

I need to split my stuff up a bit more haha.
