Comic Ventriloquist Joe Gandelman uses a BIG cast of characters in a show with lots of interaction, laughs and content. Schools can choose from existing message themes or ask Joe to customize it with a school's theme at no extra expense. The show is highly interactive. Among the characters kids (and staff) love the most are a baby elephant who squirts water into the front rows (a big squirt gun...this is tied into an anti-drug, anti smoking, anti bullying theme), a small blue dragon who has (fake) smoke come out of his nose, a student (or staffer) putting on a funny looking ventriloquism mask which turns the person into a human dummy (Joe does the voices). At the end of each show he does a quick segment on ventriloquism, showing student how a puppet works, giving them a few secrets and getting one or more students up to try out a dummy.

Secret - I feel really guilty just interacting with the marauders fandom as a minor, from what I’ve seen its mainly adults and i always feel like im intruding and like my thoughts aren’t really valid as I haven’t seen much of the real world. our convo was mainly around,,, not censorship but safety? when it comes to recommending fics what line do you draw, who holds what responsibility etc and we essentially came to the conclusion that adults need to tag/rate their fics appropriately, minors need to respect MDNI tags, and parents hold the biggest responsibility over their child because censorship is bad and adults deserve a space too -> this talk was more about NSFW content

in generalll ?? no need to feel bad interacting !! i can assure you now it's a good mix of adults/minors (you'll get more adults on the tumblr side but my tiktok is roughly 65:35 adults to minors)

and thoughts are so valid omg. that's what i love about fandom !! everyones thoughts are valid and everyones thoughts are included and i love that, you don't need to have experienced "the real world" (who even decides what that is lets be real rn) to engage 🙂↔️ im here to IGNOREE the real world actually

in terms of interacting? i'd say, obviously those with an MDNI tag? absolutely not no, they've drawn that line. but just generally commenting on a post? or fic? general interactions? it's very person by person but my main point is i think people should have minor/adult marked in bios even if its not their exact age if they want to engage, and that way those who don't want to won't and those that are okay with it will (obvs a bigger discussion here but i'm going off the basis of a Good Adult, because the other side is a whole other discussion that isn't what i'm talking about rn, that's a discussion to have with The Adults not the minors)

TLDR !!! if it makes someone uncomfortable, they won't respond 🤷‍♂️ and then you find other friends ! it's nothing personal if they don't and there's a lottttt more minors than it comes across - tiktok is their center point me thinks)

I see people very often sharing tips on how to avoid being scammed and I just sit here like… I’ll share it but how many times must this be done? how many times must this era’s internet children be reminded of internet safety? why doesn’t it sink in? are they doing it on purpose or?????? “I pressed a random link and and and be careful!” like problem number one was you pressing a random link. huh? I feel like there’s a million ways for someone who’s that tech savvy to avoid getting fucking scammed. it’s so confusing it’s so baffling. you’ve been on the internet since you were five or some shit but you can’t read an email address to figure out if it’s incorrect or not and then get scammed. are you kidding?? do you not read???? emails entirely???? do you not double check phone numbers by typing them on Google?????? hello??????? it feels like I’m talking to a brick wall
