oc-tober 6! decided to have the text in the image because i wanted to do little doodles. simplified id in alt and ill include a full transcription under the cut :]

SURPRISE I'm doing Speckle for yet another day (no one is actually surprised). So why did THIS get redesigned? Kind of obvious why but humor me here. Like yeesh.

Well first of all she started out as.. actually another character! Not mine. Long story. This first design looked too similar.

Second of all, it didn't fully fit her, she looked a bit too young, and as big Speckle fans may not expect she actually to me looked Too Nice for someone so hot-headed.

And also her design had bad colors and finally too many details that I just [dragged-out] kept forgetting. Lol.

Among giving her darker skin and dreads I in fact took away one aspect, her face shadow! It didn't seem very fitting for her at the time, since she was just genuinely nice and trustworthy in ToonTown rather than a spy like in TTD.... Also I just kept forgetting to draw it (Atropa kept it though! Lent was supposed [to] but I kept. Uh. Forgetting. Lol.)

All of that + generally growing as an artist led to THIS!! (Which I'm much more proud of.)

#bweirdoctober #oc-tober #oc tober #lamb.art #speckle.chr #minorca.chr #lent.chr #ocs #moral ocd telling me to overexplain something .#the darker skin and dreadlocks arent connected to making her seem like more of a hothead #when i furst made speckle i was dealing with a lot of internalized racism that a lot of poc go through #where they make their ocs whiter because thats whats Expected #speckle being more obviously black with locs was meant both as a way to start connecting with my culture through ocs more #and as a way to incorporate things i find comfurting in people irl into speckles design #her skin got darker and her hair was made to be locs instead because a lot of comfurting people in my life were darker skinned women with #natural hair. and my fp in middle school had locs and was cheerful like speckle is lol #shes still very much designed to look kind and trustworthy ala removing the face shadow over time #but the original design just felt inaccurate fur a 30yr old woman most of all who had purrsonality traits outside of just Nice #the toon division.exe #toontown.exe

I need to meet the Quickstep assistant who decided to label the riders’ clothes. I have questions.

#can they not tell them apart?#their own riders?#do the riders misplace their clothing a lot?#do they worry *we* won’t tell them apart?#do they also label their pants and socks and boxers?#why oh why did it have to be on the front of the t-shirt at the top right under the neck #are they actually very tall kindergartners on a year-long school trip?#do they know there are anti child labor laws in most likely all the countries they race in?#cycling #road cycling #is it a secret internal shaming method designed by PatLef for whatever reason that got him pissed off #WAIT are the riders actually wearing the tshirts back to front #leading us back to the kindergartners theory #did one rider get it wrong once and now all the others do it too as an internal joke to shame him #or maybe in solidarity #as I said I have questions #and I want answers

I did it boys, three weeks of feverishly thinking about him at work, 12 stickynotes, and a few hours of digitalization and he's alive! (Goofy Ahh Sidekick-)

And some bonus info! Because I do believe with my whole heart that Leon would dress up in that goofy lil wizard costume for his entire school career and then realize it was hella impractical last second and completely rebrand himself.

In the School Era doodles he's about 15-18, and his Pro Hero doodles are ages 19-??? (Whenever he retires or dies ig???)

#light's spot #my art #oc #Spotlight #his stiry in convoluted by my favorite bits are:#1) He was in the support course and was really good at it but he took people by surprise by using his quirk no one knew about during the #Sports Festival and accidentally obliterated the people he went up against because they didn't expect him to have both support items *and*#useful quirk. after that people insisted he join the hero course and so he lowkey kinda dual-majored #2) His flashy look was great up until it gave him away. during his last Hero Work Study he was supposed to be helping in a hostage situatio #and he was supposed to stealth in but his earring caught on some light and gave away his position. The villain attacked him and tore out a #chunk of his neck along with skinning his lower jaw and tearing his ear. the pros were aboe to get the situation under control #but it left Light with a major scar and a lot to think about so he rebranded after he left school for everyone's safety.#3) The new design and nickname relate back to his family since they run a lighting business. He wanted to distance himself from his (mostly #unsupportive family roots but it was just the only design he really felt right with that he could come up with so he ran with it. now he #likes to keep his face covered and largely prefers for his Hero identity to be seperate from his own. That way his family isn't really #part of anything he does #oh and he definitely uses his lights in unique ways. he loves flash-banging his enemies when he can get close enough fast enough #mha oc #bnha oc #oh and in relation to my other mha ocs?#Dream Rush was already in her 3rd year of school when Shigaraki was making Nomu so she became a pro just before/after everything went to #hell. she was very helpful in interrogating villains for potential plans because they deployed her earlier than her classes ended #she knows Spotlight just barely because he interned at an agency she worked for for a while

ive identified that I don’t want to work remote (at least not full time) because I like getting out of the house and having a physical separation of work life and home life but also I don’t like my current office job because I’m hourly full time and I’m also essentially partly a receptionist i.e. can’t listen to music while I do my little tasks. do any of you have an in person/hybrid job where you don’t really have to talk to people and can do your own thing during your hours

#I’ve also identified that my ideal job is basically my high school library page job but with a full time wage #got to do a nondemanding physical organizational task while listening to my iPod it was heaven #also fun was having basically the same kind of job as a museum intern except sometimes I had to do graphic design #which is definitely not my passion #yes I posted this while dying of boredom at work. what of it

other americans need to stop loudly and proudly admitting to things that you couldnt waterboard out of me. stop acting like its normal that you didnt know africa has cities and people in it until you were like 20 that is not normal that is a you problem not an us problem our education system is bad but its not that bad

#did you guys not have international days in elementary school where you picked a country to do a report on #and brought in some of that countrys traditional food and dressed in their clothes??#kids books and tv are SPECIFICALLY designed to teach kids about topics Including geography #and what about kids in your classes who were from different countries??#in middle school i knew a kid from egypt who was there for spring break when the civil war happened #i had friends from india and peru and the dominican republic #how do you NOT know about other countries until adulthood #that is just embarassing on your part. even if your school didnt teach geography you should have picked it up from just Existing #making this one unrebloggable bc this is a bat at a hornets nest

second day in a row now where my computer's tint has shifted to orange at 10pm on the dot. this sure would be normal if it was night light. night light hasn't worked on my computer for over a year (among other things about my computer that don't work). this morning it didn't turn off unless i restarted my computer. i think it's haunted

#ylimespam #for those who care here's the other wonky things that have been ongoing issues with my beloved laptop #neither of the alt keys work #the internal speakers don't work. i think the audio driver for them thanos snapped itself #every so often the wifi driver temporarily thanos snaps itself. it usually comes back within 5 minutes #but sometimes i have to restart my computer to remind it that yes you Do have a wifi driver. silly #camera driver also explodes itself frequently #which is fine because i almost never use the fuckin webcam anyways + it's covered with blue tape #mostly just means i have to do All Zoom Meetings on phone. which is preferrable #because the stupid camer was put BELOW the screen. the designers of this laptop were maniacs #i think those are all the main ones. other than p much every time my computer's bluescreened in my recent memory #it's Alwyas been the same error. driver power failur or whatever #idk man. haunted laptop 👻 every time school went on break i told myself i'd do a hard reinstall of the OS. and then i didn't #and then i can't do it DURING school for obvious reasons #and at thiss point im gonna graduate next month so like. why bother. POWER THROUGH IT

The entirety of last month was spent packing, researching new purchases for our new home and moving out. A special goodbye to this condominium and neighbourhood that I made my own. Moving on to better things!

#As a military kid/brat. private boarding school girlie & international migrant-this is the 9th place I'm moving into since kindergarten #I have to say - I love moving. I love upgrading. designing & finding new places/spots to hang out at. It's second nature to me.#It's a great privilege that I'm so grateful and thankful for.#this condo has been one of my fav places I've lived in. It's been 3 years (2021-2024) + It's the 3rd place I've lived in Toronto #after my first luxury condo (2017-2021) and my sorority house where I spent one semester in the first half of 2018.#this particular chest is special in that it's the only piece of furniture in Toronto that I've used & carried with me the longest #Summer before 12th grade I came to Toronto for vacation & University tours. We stayed at my sister's huge condo for the 3 months #That was the same luxury condo that became my first Toronto place in 2017 but my 1st time staying there was for vacay in 2016 #my bedroom that summer had that brown chest I used for my clothing. We moved it to the living room when we moved into this condo in 2021 #I finally said goodbye to it when we rented this condo out to tenants June 1st and moved out to a bigger place.#also pictured is the room I occupied with those iconic huge windows. I now have a balcony in my new room so the tradition of #huge windows the size of an entire wall stays!!#moving out #the moving out diary #personal
