location: wonderwell science museum, spring extravaganza. status: closed for @leoxgutierrez
“You may be wondering why I’ve dragged you all the way out here,” Cora started as she approached her friend on the stairs of the museum. It had been a few weeks since they last spoke, every day passing by achingly slow as a dark hole began to develop in her life where Leo should have been. Okay, a little dramatic, but she did feel like she was positively withering away without the man’s conversation to keep her entertained. “And it is one-hundred-percent for the planetarium show. The city sucks for stars, so I come here some times to live my best life.” She softly laughed, a slight roll of her eyes as she glanced toward the entrance to the museum. “I also wanted to hang out because I spent the afternoon shopping with Ever a few weeks ago and I wanna know you’re doing alright.”

It's all a bit much for him. The crowd, the noise, that feeling in the pit of his stomach that tells him he's being watched. It's a paranoia Lev has yet to be rid of, unwilling to let go of it. All it takes is one time; the minute his guard is down, he could be killed or worse, taken— again. More than this, he cannot shake the feeling of the sideways glances from strangers. Most try not to stare, but fuck, there are some that can't seem to help themselves. Right now, it's a couple of art vendors visiting a neighboring booth selling caricatures. As if he'd fuck with that. Another life, maybe.
Stormy blues flicker between the gawkers and the crowd, watching for a sign of his brother. There's a relief when he comes into view. Clearing his throat, he pushes toward him, frustrations mounting as he tries to conceal the stiffness of his left leg. "Leo—" An arm goes out, meant to usher the other away from the booth in question. "C'mon, man.."
