Thank you so much for working hard on translating that article! I have several personal notes I'd like to add, and clarify some points that probably haven't aged that well.

This lovely article was originally crafted after years of following the ever so much loving cutegirlmayra and some other Tumblr blogs that I'm afraid they aren't around anymore (that I know of.) This article was written in 2018, yet it reeks from material and research done by fandom members between 2015-17 at the latest. Credit to every single post that inspired this article <3

For a while I've been thinking about reworking this article, since it was the first time I was actually tackling such a big topic like the entire Sonic-Amy dynamic. As such, the article it's filled with points I might not agree with anymore, or that feel restrictive in comparison to what I think about the dynamic now. For more information, one of my asks had some more updated thoughts.

The reason why I haven't reworked this article is because it's actually pretty damn popular. Seaside Hill Paradise is by no means the biggest Spanish Sonic blog out there, yet this article gets the attention of thousands of Sonic fans every single year. This literally gets 5 times more views per month than any other stuff I write, so that's why I mostly keep it like that.

Parts 2 and 3 mostly rectify some of the thoughts I have on the dynamic as of 2019 and 2020 respectively. This particular one was more the ramblings of a hopeful SonAmy fan trying to make sense out of the dynamic :P

Once again, thanks beev for taking your time off to do this stuff, it's super entertaining to revisit the articles I wrote using specific Spanish modisms, now in English :P

SEGA and the eternal issue of the Sonic-Amy dynamic

While the Bowsette phenomenon shattered the internet into a thousand pieces, it seems like the Sonic fandom is splitting itself over a completely different matter: the eternal discussion over Sonic and Amy’s dynamic, and how much it can be considered official from SEGA’s perspective.
