what if i wanted to sleep instead of going to guard for 5 hours straight.. this is why this season will be my last, i don’t have the energy to keep this up. guard is also very looks-based so i’ve always felt insecure during meetings (but i mostly avoid thinking about that because it makes me perform poorly). unfortunately i’m past the point where i can just tap out of the current guard season, so i’ll learn the drills and movements, get my silly ass costume, perform on the field until october, then i’m peacing out before i get roped into winter guard

#minxiety #at least learning drills is kind of nice. i struggled with them for the first good 40 minutes #but then when i figured it out it was alright #they strategically placed me at a point where my work would be barely visible and where i wouldn’t move much #which i might’ve complained about if i didn’t know better lol #i just like drills now that i get them because it’s nice and cool outside #and the band teacher watches us from up high and talks through a shitty megaphone #instead of some preppy student leader who listens to sabrina carpenter #randomly teleporting behind you to say ‘ermm hey so at the fifth bla bla you’re tilting your flag too blehh’#‘you’re not tossing your flag high because you’re scared of it!!’ not really i’m just not seasoned enough to toss the flag to the ceiling
