I can’t tell you why, but I like taking pictures of my feet. If that makes me weird, oh well. I didn’t have far to go to cross that line. 😉 Seriously though, it’s Thursday and I feel like this week has been consuming every part of me. But that is ok. Has anyone else read #jesuscalling? I used it as my devotional a few years ago and liked it well enough. Now I pick it up every now and then and flip to whatever day it is. I have been horrible at posting lately, though I can’t say that I’m sorry. If I was I’m sure I would have put much more effort into having content. But no, I’ve chosen to do more life important things. For instance, this morning I am off to do makeup for a wedding in Benton PA (@silentlycolorful) then home to this gorgeous view (pictured) and ending the night with some beautiful friends at Shannon’s skin care party! I absolutely love being able to make my own schedule and to call a party ‘work’. #fridayintroductions Let’s do this! 1. Easter is one of my favorite holidays. I love the fact that because of Jesus’ death on the cross we are able to be forgiven. To go to Jesus with boldness and have the Holy Spirit fill us with his love. 2. I absolutely love when my brothers call me. So much of my life growing up I spent taking care of them, I miss those days. Evan called me “My Erica” and always came to me first when he got hurt. I love dancing with Colin. We did a mirror dance once and only practiced twice, and it was perfection! 3. I miss my mom more than I admit. Currently I am working on a book and taking a look at how God gave me joy when happiness was nowhere to be found. 4. My favorite type of books are fantasy. Stories that are just that, stories. Taking my imagination on a ride of colors and adventure. @amanda_hocking is on of my favorite authors, along with @halseanderson and so many others. 5. I don’t like coffee or tea, soda or most juices. I drink water. That is all. Though I enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of orange hawaïenne juice when I eat at Moes, which isn’t often. But yet, water is where it’s at. I always have my water bottle with me. I suggest you do the same. That’s all for today! Join me next week for another few things for you to learn about me. Always pray and never give up. So simple and yet it seems so unattainable. Sometimes I think we look at God like this big mean guy who couldn't possibly care about our little problems in life, so therefore we don't bother him with anything, big or small. But we are looking at it all wrong. If we all ran to Jesus first before anyone or anything else, how much different would our lives be then? God cares about us all, not matter who you are, where you live, what you do or what you look like. He gave you the very breath in your lungs, so why wouldn't he have your best interest at heart? When you are going through your day, pray. It is just having a conversation with your creator. Praying doesn't have to be this big thought out message or big words all mixed together to make some kind of coherent sentence. Share your feelings, your worries and your happy moments. Pray out loud, or in your head, or even writing in a prayer journal. However you choose to, just pray. "Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up." Happy #fridayintroductions y'all! Listed below are 5 more things you may not have known about me. Happy reading and as always, thanks for following! 1. I love going to the movies. The last movie Nick and I saw in the Dietrich Theater was #thegreatestshowman and it was AMAZING! I am a sucker for musicals, but they have to be good and done right. This one is now my favorite musical of all time! I can't stop listening to the sound track. I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can watch it over and over again! #obsessed 2. I have a cat named Skittles that I got from my friend @sherrylee_summer Skittles like to sleep on my desk, walk across my keyboard, and cuddle on the couch while I'm reading. She will eat meat when I give it to her and won't eat her denta-snacks if Nick gives it to her. When Skittles sleeps in a little ball of fur, she puts her paw over her eyes and it is the cutest thing! 3. I got a promotion at my day job, and now I get to work mostly from home! I work for @anytimefitnesstunkhannockpa and am over-see both our Dallas, PA and Tunkhannock, PA locations. There is soon to be a location in Wysox as well! 4. I used to dance, after my years as a gymnast. You can usually find me twirling when there is a good song on and I am lost in thought. When I was the Manager at the Tunkhannock Anytime members would catch me all the time. 5. My church is reading through the gospels in 90-days together and it is so cool to see what everyone gets out of that days passage. We are using the @youversion bible app. There are many different reading plans on there and I look forward to using this app on a more regular basis. You can even doing reading plans with friends! Looking back on the past few years, it’s awesome to see God’s hand at work in every moment. Every tear shed and every laugh is His. God holds our hand through it all. He also brings people in our life that He uses to do the same. I don't know where I would be without these ladies in my life (and the rest of the family). We always pick each other up when we're down, help out and do life together. One thing I've learned throughout the past few years is that you can choose who to have in your life. Ones who care deeply and choose to be your family.
