It's the eve of the Autumn Equinox here in the UK and I'm already looking forward to that feeling of hygge that starts this time of year. I'm already yearning for comfort food like ramen soups and Irish stews and the log burner has seen a bit of action this week. In contrast - my recent pottery glazes and ceramic bead makes have had a somewhat beach and ocean theme, perfect for the southern hemisphere - like this necklace I made by creating a pottery seashell framing a white pearl and tiny dyed sea snail shells. At the top it's decorated with seaglass from Seaham, an organic shaped ceramic bead with coral colour glaze and a salvaged lava bead which you can feed with aromatherapy oil.
