What kind of setting do you use to take pictures? I do love the classic “portrait” mode for the instant slight zoom with a bokeh effect. Sometimes it’s not perfect though as people end up having fuzzy edges! Also it’s meant for still subjects aka harder for kids or animals. I still use it all the time on my kids though. 🧡 NEW PRINT ✨ has dropped! I’m so excited to share that I have 3 new prints in the online shop! The first one is this new 🌱SPRING POPPIES🌱 limited edition print. The original painting was inspired by spring and fresh poppies from the flower market. I really wanted to recreate the feeling of being IMMERSED in spring (you know that feeling when the air just feels different cause it’s spring/ summer is just around the corner!?). It’s fascinating to see such symmetry in nature - just look at the dozens of perfectly curled petals in these #dahlias While these flowers are practically perfect, I have learned to let perfection go. Yes I still stress out about little details sometimes. But I have also learned to be ok with a little chaos (a must especially if you have kids). I’ve asked for a little help. I also have started to accept “good enough”. I went on a short date with myself this morning to see #tulipmania at #gardensbythebaysingapore and it was lovely! Tulips in November make no sense but I don’t care! I enjoyed taking my time to walk around and truly look at some of my #fav_flowers This also reminded me that I need to make more time for myself. Have that quiet breakfast out. Go for a nice stroll. Sometimes it’s all about #simplepleasures I worry so much about the big things - a new house, my career, or the well being of my loved ones. Then I sit back and watch my kids. They don’t have the worries we have as adults. They enjoy the simple things. This particular plumeria tree was an object of fascination for them. They just wanted to reach for a few blossoms on that pretty tree. After they found a few wind blown blooms, they were happy too just twirl them in their fingers.
