Last song: Nouveau Pouvoir by Corneille It’s a song about having the ability to love yourself and start fresh at any time, basically. I don’t listen to a lot of music in French but I love this.

Last TV show: I assume this means that I finished most recently? If so that would be… Mission Hill. Old cartoon my husband wanted to rewatch, but my first time seeing it. It was okay.

Currently watching: Under the Vines. I’m only on episode 4, so no spoilers plz. Liking it so far! Plus Deano is in it!

Currently reading: Theoretically I’m partway through The Hobbit and also on volume 12 of Ouran High School Host Club, though I haven’t read either in ages. I’m sadly not much a reader these days.

3 - Are there any special holidays or anniversaries you and your f/o share together?

Rae and Knuckle are both pretty festive people and they do celebrate holidays anniversaries birthdays and anything in between! Any reason to celebrate and drink is a good reason but they always get into the festivities without going way too overboard. Christmas is Knuckle’s favorite holiday. He gets caught up in the colorful lights, the tasty food and drink, and the fun winter adventures he and Rae go on together! He finds the Christmas season warm and romantic, And one of his favorite Christmas moments was when He and Rae couldn’t sleep on Christmas Eve. They decided to go make some hot chocolate, and they were greeted by their dogs (because of course they would have at least 2). They lost track of time, playing and cuddling with their pups by the light of their tree and the fireplace, cozy and warm from their drinks, fuzzy puppy snuggles, and their love for each other. When the clock stuck midnight they were still on the floor leaning against each other, falling asleep with their dogs in their laps. Knuckle kissed her cheek and wished her a Merry Christmas, only for her to mumble something incoherent in return. He just smiled and rested his head against hers again before falling asleep, grateful he gets to spend another Christmas with her.

They also celebrate the day they got each of their dogs! They get super into it and silly with it, wearing party hats and giving each pup a little doggy cake and a gift! Then they spend the rest of the day taking them on a little adventure, whether it be a hike or swim, something dog friendly and fun! They mark it in their calendars every year, and sometimes are more excited about their dog’s adoption days than than their own birthdays! 🥳

Another form of intimacy that is really important to Knuckle is physical intimacy. Knuckle is a very touchy feely guy, the sense of touch helps ground him when other senses can’t get to him, especially when he’s struggling to get into the right state of mind. There have been times where he’s almost acted on impulsive anger, and the one thing that stopped him was Rae’s small but firm hand on his shoulder. With her, he can take a step back, and though he would still be hotheaded, he would have enough sense to listen to her. They keep each other in check, and even though he may be upset for the time being, he tells her how grateful he is to have her be able to catch him. Knuckle is really an actions speak louder than words kind of guy, and though he’s not bad when it comes to whispering sweet nothings into Rae’s ear, he always shows his affections, large or small, through how he touches her. Both of them are very big on long warm cuddle sessions, and he wants to have her close and sit on his lap or have her in his arms as much as possible. he didn’t admit it to her, he loves being a little spoon. It’s very therapeutic for him, being held and enveloped in Rae’s arms and soft body, he feels safe and can let his guard down when he’s all wrapped up in her. he loves it when Rae rubs his back when she cuddles him too, if she does it long enough, it puts him right to sleep. but when they’re not cuddling, the touches between them give him reassurance that she is alright, and that he’s not alone to face whatever is coming at him. Hand holding and playing with each other’s fingers, the small tugs of their sleeves as they pass by each other, having his hand on her thigh when they sit together, his rough fingers gently playing with and bouncing the tips of of her long and curly hair, the playful surprise ass slaps when they’re alone and competition that comes with it. He loves it all, and she does too.

7 - what is one thing your f/o does that never fails to make you flustered One thing that came to a HUGE surprise to both himself and Rae (and to me when I first thought of this hc) was how good Knuckle could be at dancing. He always thought he had two left feet, and never really tried. The only times we’re super forced and kind of awkward for him, which solidified the thoughts for him. But when he watches Rae when she was dancing (also badly, I can’t dance for shit but want to try to anyway. Fuck it, it’s fun regardless!) and singing in the kitchen, she dragged him into her and asked him to dance with her. He didn’t want to turn her down, especially when she was smiling so brightly at him, but he was so self conscious and flustered that he just moved his arms around. Rae laughed in good nature and told him to feel the music. He still didn’t get it. Then she told him to think of it like fighting, without the intent to hit someone. Suddenly it clicked. The timing of moves, gauging what your partner is going to do next, thinking ahead, the same skill, agility, and power he possesses could all be put into a different form. He found his rhythm with the music as his mentor, the steps and movements came easier the less he thought and the more he felt and experienced. At the end of it, both he and Rae were blown away, and he looked at her to see her full face flushed darker than normal with an intense blush. Since then there have been other times she’s caught him dancing by himself, getting better. Sometimes he was just too good, the gyrations of his hips and the way his muscles strained as his body moved a guaranteed way to get her blushing and stuttering if she got caught watching. Knuckle always knew she was there watching him though, not that he’d ever tell her 😉
