          He had gotten bored of prison. It was alright, at first if he was honest; very similar to living at Wammy’s House. The stench of death clung to both places like a thick layer of dust. But just like his former home, he had left. Of course, Beyond realized that meant it was on the lam now  --  How dramatic  --  But hiding was what he had been trained to do.

          Smuggling himself like illegal cargo, the serial killer made his way to Japan. It probably wasn’t the best choice; after all, since the Kira case, Japan’s customs had become even tighter, but that much didn’t really matter to Beyond. Any genius could slip through a plane terminal unnoticed; any genius could hide himself in plain sight.

          But what he didn’t expect was the lack of bulging, red, smokey text above people’s heads upon entering the cultural stirring pot known as Shibuya. Beyond blinked  --  Once, twice  --  Then the wings behind the nameless, dateless beings manifested in his shell-shocked vision, & Beyond realized.

                                 Shinigami.

          There were dozens here, just standing in the street more casually than after school teenagers.  —— But there was something so very off about them ...

          One was walking past Beyond just then; a large one who looked more like the type of Shinigami he was used to dealing with than the very human looking ones littering the street. “ Hey ... ” He greeted uneasily, turning as the Shinigami continued to walk past him. “ You! Yeah, you! Shinigami! ” Beyond called after.

I’m really not a big fan of big cities. Too many people’s thoughts flooding into my head. After a while you learn to drown it out, but its still a pain to deal with. But I saw an article online about some hotdog place in Shibuya selling a new kind of crepe that I want to try. It doesn’t look like too many people are lined up but there might be limited supply for the first day of the sale.

Oh great and right behind me is a real weirdo. He looks like some kind of punk. This line’s only for the crepes right? Is he really here for that? “Hey if you’re just getting a hotdog, you don’t need to wait in this line.”

     Gee, where was his service dog when he had needed it? Opting not to be bitter, as this was his own idea after all, he only offered the rapidly twitching nose of his Reaper’s new therapy pet an inch closer to his face. Look at him. Behold him. His little thumper feet and his floppy ears and his beady little eyes.

     Joshua wouldn’t want it in his house, heavens no, but it was cute enough to babysit for a few hours, maybe.

     “You’re not representing my Underground with the compassionate dignity expected of you,” he added, less jovially than before. “The idea is to refine Souls and glean potential from Players, not slaughter the masses. Foster this Peter Cottontail for a week and I might give you your street back.”

Takeru’s appearance now definitely didn’t support his stubbornness, especially when his stubborn attitude had made him one of the ‘local delinquents’ in his countryside hometown. The shady stranger he’d just walked up on might’ve scared most, but not Takeru as the otherwise ‘soft’ looking teen held his ground. 

“You live here, right?” It was a long shot, but maybe he could show him the quickest way back to a train station.

They’ve Got Some Issues 

bitterness

okay, wait, let me explain. you're not a bitter person, not by any means, but you don't...articulate your feelings very well. you hide behind all of the walls you built and you live inside a castle. bitterness is your defence mechanism. you don't want to be a bad person, you don't want to make people feel bad. and honey, you don't. we know. we know things are hard and trusting people is hard. we know you're trying your best and you don't need to be the nicest person in the world. you've just got to be true to yourself and try to be as good as you can be. and i know, sometimes, that doesn’t feel like enough. you don’t feel like you’re good. you’re not as kind and caring and lovely as some people. you’re sharp and tough sometimes. your life and your feelings aren’t all pretty and sugar sweet. that’s okay. they don’t need to be. the people in your life are there because they want to be. don’t ever think you’re a burden or that they’re only there because they feel like they have to be. they love you. and because of that, they’re in it for the long run. it’s going to be okay. you don’t need to be sugary sweet to be deserving of love.

He could figure out where each of the different areas were just fine, but when it came to figuring which of them would lead him home the quickest...Yuya was completely clueless. 

“Man, even hopping through dimensions hadn’t been this hard. Guess getting back home from this place won’t be as easy as jumping through another one of Reiji’s portals...” — ★ ★

After the yell, 777 knew a Player had snuck into the concert. Call it Reapers intuition or something of the sort, like a Spidey-Sense but for Players.

He saw Tia, and she definitely knew it. 777 didn't stop singing, there was no messing up, but the eye contact was made, his sharp ey s gleaming with excitement.

He could have erased her if he wanted to.

He didn't.

So what if a Player snuck into the Concert Hall to watch them? It wasn't like she was the first, nor the last. Besides, Def Märch had an unspoken rule: Concert Day was never Erasure Day. People in the Game were never seen as that at their concerts, never a Player for Reaper. They were fans, and the band appreciated everything single last one of them. After all, without fans (dead and living alike,) where would they be?

After the song, he pointed just slightly past the girl, at someone else.Of course, the point was directed to the girl, but he couldn't publicly point at someone who wasn't there.

The blonde new player of the Reaper’s game was having mixed feelings about this concert she snuck into. On one hand it was a rocking concert, on the other hand the entire band was made of Reapers. Who were supposed to be her enemy.

But soon she found herself in the music and shouted really loud, “Woo! You guys are awesome!” which would possibly immediately reveal her presence and the Player pin that was hooked to her shirt.

Life Update

Most of you probably noticed that I haven't been on here or on Raekai (insomniacxt) lately, and just solely been focusing on Kalin/Yusei (hyperdrivehearts).

Part of the reason is because of my YGO hyperfix, the other part is that I've been in a weird mood and this weekend sent me over the edge in a depressive slump so I don't really have motivation for maintaining all three of my blogs at the same time. When I come back, I'll probably drop most threads unless I have them with H, Morty, Kasa, and that one I need to reply to from Bolt but idk yet, I haven't really decided? If you wanna keep a thread going but aren't in the aforementioned list of people above just let me know just in case I do decide to drop.

Uh yeah, you can find me on discord if you're interested? I've been mostly hanging out in my YGO RPC server but feel free to send me a message or ask for my tag!

I'll come back soon, I just need time.
