im not usually a "you have to read the comics" person but my pet peeve is when people vitriolically hate the joker (or hatter or black mask etc etc etc) and then reveal that they ONLY know about the modern live action tv/film incarnations of them where their character is treated fundamentally differently than the comics. you dont know them like i do!!!!
