The best I can say about class tonight is that I didn't fall again...but I also like devolved and barely could move around. My tailbone still hurts and everything was butt. I need to get more practuce but also bruised tailbone makes it hard to balance, but you know...they can't all be winners. On Wednesdays, we skate at the rink. 😂 Very quick session today before open to the public and I am very pleased with how the moto bearings are working out with my skates. I dunno what was up with the sure-grip qube bearings but that was a mess. Hoping for a bit more practice tomorrow to close out my week but I'm starting to feel a bit more comfortable on wheels. Little shorter skating practice today but hot and tired. Practiced cross-overs on the carpet because smaller pads today (spoiler: I'm a sweaty ho and it is HOT out) so a bit easier. But still wary since that's how I fell last. Building up that left foot strength and still working on balance. Got a bosu ball at home and haven't yeeted myself off it yet...yet! Today I am BEAT and the day's skate session was far from pretty. I felt like my body was moving through molasses and it was not how I wanted to end the week...but you can't always get what you want. Missed a whole week of skating because my lungs are trash.😫 That was rough and I have been dying to get back on wheels again. Took it real easy today, just to get back into the groove of it. Day 3 of skating this week and FUCKIN' CRUSHED Monday's record with 3-fuckin'-9 laps today! 🤯 Thirty-nine!!! 🤯 holyforkingshirtballs! And why such a rando number of laps, you say? Starting the week with a small personality best, y'all...hit up skate club and managed to do a whole 25 laps around the rink! Holy shiiiiiiiittttt. Signed up for skating club and committing to dragging my ass out to the rink at least 4 days a week this month (on top of weekly lessons) cuz skating is a journey not a destination and a bitch is INVESTED.
