Okay so imma need more twin Zuku hcs for my mental health✨
when I say ride or die I mean you’re prepared to flee the country together if need be
two peas in a pod fr
Inko has a dozen photos of the two of you in matching Halloween costumes and stuff
all through your lives, you’ve always had Izuku’s back whether you have a quirk or not, always there for him when the world was beating him down
so when he got One For All from All Might, he saw it as his chance to return the favor
also if you do have a quirk, he’s got at least 2 whole pages dedicated to it like whether it was directly inherited from of your parents or maybe it was recessive, etc.
not to mention the twin esp it’s like your shared sixth sense
your allergies also act up at the same time
heavens forbid one of you start to cry because then the other’s gonna start crying and that’s just gonna be a mess
you may not have the exact same interests, but you share the same passionate spirits
Bakugou is… not necessarily scared of you, maybe intimidated is a more appropriate word
because you’ve been willing to square tf up with him in junior high
also you’re the only other person he allows to call him Kacchan
one time All Might called for “Young Midoriya” and you both turned your heads at the same time
it was as adorable as it sounds
when Izuku enrolled at UA but you were going to a different school, you both had to learn to cope with the separation, especially when he moved into the dorms
when you come to visit, he just casually carried you around on piggy back for a little bit because he didn’t wanna let you go (also cuz he wanted to show off a lil bit how he was now able to carry you w/out breaking a sweat)
also by the time you finally get around to meeting his classmates, it’s almost as if they’ve met you already because of how much your brother has told them about you
when Aizawa found out about you, his immediate thought was oh my god, there’s two of them.
upon realizing class 1A’s problem child had a twin, he could practically feel his first grey hair come in
my lord if one of his classmates developed a crush on you :0
his reaction heavily depends on who it is
but that’s a story for another time 😉
he makes sure to grape juice far away from you tho
one time you two fell asleep snuggled together on one of the couches in the common space while watching something on your ipad
Mina took a bunch of pics and Ochako almost cried
Kirishima admires how strong your guys’ bond is and thinks it’s super manly how you two always come through for one another
you 🤝 Iida : willing to do anything for your brothers
if you’ve got a fav pro hero, Izuku will do his best to get the opportunity for you to meet them
one of you gets seriously hurt, look out world
the league of villains is honestly kinda hesitant to target you and that’s saying something

𝐝𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐞𝐤𝐮
⊱✿⊰ summary: head canons as a gift to @lovelykil
⊱✿⊰ warnings: nothing crazy. Mentions of pregnancy and kids but nothing nsfw
⊱✿⊰ notes: my first fanfiction on this new account! How exciting am i right??
❀ Izuku loves to show how grateful he is to have you as a partner. You are kind and compassionate and just amazing. He loves everything about you and does his best to show you that. He buys you flowers regularly, takes you on dates as much as he can (with his busy schedule), and tries to show you he appreciates you.
❀ Although he has a very busy life as a pro hero he makes time for you. Quick lunches in between rescues and the occasional time he takes a day off go spend it with you. Whenever he takes the day off he loves to make you dinner.
❀ He knows he wanted to marry you almost right into dating. You are so perfect ans you make him feel the best he could be. Why wouldn't he choose to spend the rest of his life with you?
❀ surprisingly or not, izuku prefers keeping your relationship details pretty private. Like he doesn't hide you from the public but he does keep them from giving you all invasive questions. Anyway, I think he proposed over a fancy dinner he cooked at home. Popping open the wine, pulling out the candles, y'know the works.
"Oh wow," you said, walking into the very fancy dinner Izuku had made for the both of you. You tried thinking back to if this was a special occasion but you could not figure out what it could possibly be.
"Zu, what's all this for?" You asked, looking at him with grateful confusion. He was so kind to you and you had no idea what you did to earn such a man. He smiles and sits you down, telling you to enjoy dinner and he'd explain later.
So the both of you ate dinner with easy conversation, just like any sort of date you'd go on. After dinner you opened your mouth to ask what had been bugging you all evening when he knelt in front of you.
"Will you marry me?" He asked, his freckled face the most adorable pink color. He looked like the high schooler you met all those years ago, nervous but so strong.
"Yes, yes! I would love to marry you!" You answered, a few tears breaking free from your overwhelming amounts of emotion. He grinned, putting the ring on your finger before wrapping his arms around your waist and twirling you around.
❀ you guys had a relatively simple wedding. Full of family and close friends (not to mention the stray reporters who somehow snuck in.) Your classmates and teachers from UA even managed to come which was lucky.
❀ i think you guys honeymooned in like Italy or something. Izuku would have asked for America though lol
❀ I would think about a year into marriage you start to talk about kids. Izuku has always wanted kids and especially wants them with you so of course he brings up the conversation. He has enough money as a top pro hero to support any decisions including if you chose to continue working rather than being a stay at home mom.
❀ he is so happy when you tell him you are pregnant with a baby girl. After celebrating with you he immediately calls his mom to tell her the good news, which she was also excited for. Inko definitely came to your place later that day with fresh cookies for her son and his gorgeous wife. Inko loves you like you were her own daughter.
❀ The pregnancy goes smoothly and you gave birth to an adorable little girl, named Zuri. (Both her and Izuku's nicknames are Zu). She was perfect and sweet.
❀ Izuku tries to spend as much time with his family as he can. He take days off and makes sure you and Zuri feel as loved as possible.
❀ When Zuri was four years old she asked for a baby brother which you and Izuku were more than happy to oblige. Thus comes your son, Mikumo (nicknamed Mikey)
❀ you guys are honestly the cutest family. You are literally the model family for all of Japan. You guys are on the cover of some sort of magazine or something.

Izuku: Check out these new compression socks I got online! They feel so great...but I bet they look a little silly with my running shorts!
Katsuki: Oh my God it looks like you're wearing knee socks, nerd!
Katsuki: *internally* oh my God it looks like he's wearing knee socks. He looks so hot.
Izuku: Fine, I'll go change!
Katsuki:
Katsuki: Wait - don't.

somewhere out there in bkdk's childhood bedrooms are a set of torn, frayed, destroyed photos and an identical set of pristine, crisp, intricately stored ones.
the first set is izuku's: worn and loved from all the times he held them, stuffed them in his pocket wherever he went, and clutched them close to his chest as he slept.
the others is katsuki's: cherished and tucked away from the elements. neatly sandwiched between two plastic sheets in a hardcover album. a bittersweet sentiment of who he was and strives to be from now on.

Imagine 16 year old Gojo who just got divorced in front of KFC. Now imagine him going to BNHA universe and bringing his brand new children Megumi and Tsukuyomi (who he insists are his blood children how dare you try to deny the bond between him and the children he gave birth to HIMSELF-) with him. Now imagine he needs to enroll them at some elementary school (where we will later find Fyuumi, Todoroki's sister to be a teacher at). I need someone to help him with parenting and signging up the children for school and stuff. Like maybe another mother or older sibling. I am considering Inko, Bakugo's mom & dad (actually they should be neighbours it'll be so funny the family offers to babysit and Gojo crashes over after his own classes and eats all their sweets and Bakugo will scream at him to brush his fucking teeth. The beef between Bakugo and Megumi will make Gojo's day and he won't realize he's part of the beef as well.), and funnily enouh, Dabi
Kurogiri isn't an option becausehe can't leave Shigaraki long enough to come with Gojo to sign up the children but Gojo keeps breaking into his bar or even room to nurse orange juice and be dramatic over not being able to connect with his children

Break The Cycle
Being quirkless sucked ass.
Izuku was simply doing his best to survive in a world where people hated his existence. He honestly didn’t understand their obsession with his quirkless status. It wasn’t like he was a threat to them nor did his existence have any direct effect on them.
Maybe they were jealous that he got to avoid the entire hierarchy by naturally being at the bottom.
Having random people hate him wasn’t Izuku’s problem. He could easily say the unwanted hate was a reflection of the person insulting him rather than it being about him.
The problem Izuku had was how the people he knew and loved dumped him the instant he was quirkless. No matter how much time had passed or the knowledge he gained, he couldn’t understand why people gave quirks so much power.
After all, quirks were useless outside of mundane use and self-defense. If you wanted to use your quirk for a purpose, you needed a license.
Nobody in his life who used their quirk on him owned a license. All the people who gave up on him also didn’t own a license.
They were as worthless as he was.
Inko Midoriya left a trail of scars some of Izuku's worst bullies couldn't compete with.
Despite Inko being a stay-at-home mother and having a husband pay all the bills, she was the farthest thing from a mother. She was neglectful, emotionally abusive, and extremely narcissistic. It didn't help that nothing Izuku did was ever good enough.
No one at school knew that Aldera Junior High wasn't the only hell hole Izuku had to deal with.
It was a cold, but bright winter day. Izuku had just gotten situated in his seat when his three tormentors approached him. Most people would believe Izuku dreaded whenever they appeared, but he found them to be more of a comfort than anything else.
They were a constant in his life even if they called him names or purposefully tried to put him down. They always approached him first thing in the morning and during the school day's last moments.
They never physically attacked him or made him feel unsafe. If anything, their constant presence protected him.
During their first year at Aldera Junior High, some upperclassmen were a threat. No one got a chance to mess with Izuku because Katsuki, Hifumi, and Tejio were already "bullying" him.
"Hey, Deku! You look more sickly than usual," greeted Katsuki, the person Izuku had a hidden admiration for.
"Not a surprise a quirkless loser like you can't handle a little snow," teased Tejio, the guy with spiky teeth for a quirk. It became a habit for him to stick up his nose when it came to Izuku.
Hifumi, the bully with a long-finger quirk, didn't bother speaking. He was too busy typing on his phone. He recently hit it off with a girl and is busy trying to find out where she was in the school.
Izuku looked up at the three with a deep frown, not really having any motivation to give his usual sporadic response of rambles. Katsuki, as observant as ever, took note of the extreme change of attitude. While he was originally irritated, a part of him grew worried that Izuku wasn't just pale because he was cold, but rather because he had a cold.
Before Katsuki could make another remark, Izuku spoke up in a broken voice. "I... uh... I'm."
Katsuki froze, caught off guard by how weird Izuku was being. Hifumi was now paying attention, concerned about what was going on. Sure, he was an asshole and made an effort to ruin Izuku's day, but he knew something was wrong and they weren't the source of his distress.
"Well? I don't have all day," barked Katsuki, crossing his arms as he kicked the leg of Izuku's desk.
"I'm moving... today is my last day here," revealed Izuku in a quiet voice, shifting his gaze to the surface of his desk.
The news of the annoying, nerdy, quirkless kid should have made Katsuki, Hifumi, and Tejio jump in the air and celebrate. Yet, the three were stuck in place, staring at Izuku as they waited for him to say it was a joke.
In one instant, the three teens realized just how important Izuku was to them. It was a disgusting feeling, knowing they formed a strong bond with the person they claimed to hate. Suddenly, the person they'd had around since elementary was now leaving in less than twelve hours.
"Huh? Aunty Inko is really dragging you away?" questioned Katsuki, his sharp tone vanishing into something tamer.
Tejio nodded at Katsuki's question before he backed the blond up. "Not that I care, but this seems very last-minute."
Izuku rolled his top lip in and bit it for a moment, before popping his lips. Flicking his eyes up to the three, he let his fingers brush the soft edge of his notebook. "Yeah, it is pretty last minute, but family problems don't wait for anyone."
"Is someone dying?" asked Hifumi out of the blue. Tejio was quick to jab him in the ribs for asking a question like that so suddenly.
"No! No one is dying... it's just personal things," admitted Izuku, not planning on telling his peers that he was planning on running away.
Hifumi scoffed, rolling his eyes. "There is no way you're leaving because of us."
Izuku shook his head with a weak smile. "No, I'm not. If I was going to leave because of the school, I would have done it in between year change. Besides, I like how close this school is to home."
"So, what fucked up shit has you booking it out of here?" pressed Katsuki, knowing that digging for information was the last thing he should be doing. He didn't want to give off the impression that he was worried. Although, that concern wouldn't matter with Izuku moving away.
"I can't tell anyone about it. My mom doesn't want me talking about it," mumbled Izuku, trying to keep this conversation from reaching the ears of his other classmates. The fewer people that knew the better.
"Damn, it sounds serious," huffed Tejio, rubbing the back of his neck.
Izuku flashed a strained smile in response. "Let's just say it is."
As the school day continued, the harder it was for Katsuki to comprehend that Izuku was leaving. He's never known life without Izuku. Now he was expected to show up to school the following morning and stare at Izuku's empty desk.
The end of the day arrived and Izuku walked out the front doors without looking back. Katsuki watched Izuku walk away, letting the new wave of emotions fester inside him.
He wasn't going to chase Izuku or apologize at the last minute, but a part of him knew he'd regret it.
Hifumi let out a loud sigh before turning to look at Katsuki. "Damn. It's gross that I feel happy for him."
"No, I get where you're coming from. This place is kinda a shithole if you think about it," agreed Tejio, turning to Hifumi.
"I bet Deku snitched on us and his mom decided to just leave," scoffed Katsuki. At this point, he'd say anything to deflect and make himself feel better.
Izuku walked home, up the steps to the apartment, and sucked in a deep breath. This was it. This was going to be the last time he ever walked into his home.
It took weeks of sneaking around to find all his documentation and anything that truly belonged to him. Everything he was taking with him had to fit in his school bag and a small-sized duffle bag. He couldn't raise any suspicion considering he never knew which version of his mom he was going to be speaking to.
Best case scenario she was going to be neglectful and not even say goodbye to him on the way out.
Making his way to the door, Izuku called out to Inko. "Hey Mom, I'll be leaving now."
The sound of rushed footsteps caught his attention. Inko appeared at the end of the hall with a small smile. Tensing up out of fear his mother was in a good mood and was going to ask a bunch of questions, Izuku swallowed hard.
"Don't go for too long," chuckled Inko softly, extending out an arm as she approached. "Come back home right after school tomorrow."
Izuku pulled open the door, refusing to look Inko in the eye out of fear she'd sense something was wrong. "I will, I promise." It was quiet for a moment before Izuku felt a strong urge to say, "I love you."
Not expecting a response, Izuku gasped when Inko happily echoed, "I love you too. Take care."
Suddenly running away felt incredibly hard. He loved his mother and saw how she was struggling with being abandoned by her husband while being expected to raise a child alone.
Despite the part of him screaming to turn around, run into her arms, and sob… he knew he couldn’t. Within the next hour, she could be angry or detached. He was tired of always fearing his mother’s wrath.
Izuku made his way to the nearest train station and started his journey. He took train after train till he was at least 10 prefectures away from the city of Musutafu. Running on nothing but limited luck and hope for a better future, he made his way to a cafe.
He had looked up jobs in the region and found an incredible opportunity. As long as he worked full-time at the cafe, he would be able to stay in the apartment on the third floor. Of course, rent would automatically be taken out of his paycheck, but that wasn’t an issue.
Izuku wore a snow hat and a bushy scarf during his interview. That way his hair was completely covered as well as his freckles.
The owner was kind and gentle. It was clear she loved her job and simply needed an extra hand. Izuku was willing to be that person.
Thankfully, the woman was desperate so Izuku was given the green light to move in immediately and would start working the next morning. Without a single worry, he agreed.
After a box of black hair dye and some full-coverage foundation, Izuku happily made his way down into the closed cafe to sign documents.
Twenty-four hours passed and as the weight was lifted off Izuku’s shoulders, hell broke loose in a small region in Musutafu.
While Katsuki, Hifumi, and Tejio weren’t surprised to see Izuku was absent, the adults were. Before lunch arrived, news broke out that Izuku was missing. Inko was called regarding her son's absence. She tried calling him, but no response.
Inko called her best friend Mitsuki, the mother of Katsuki. Izuku had claimed he was spending the night only to never have shown up. According to Mitsuki, she was never alerted that Izuku was supposed to come over.
Katsuki felt like a bucket of ice water was poured over him at the news. He lied to Katsuki, Hifumi, and Tejio about moving. Izuku most definitely ran away. He couldn’t be sure he wasn’t the cause of it, but he figured Inko was part of the reason.
Last-minute. Family issues. Serious. Inko doesn’t want him talking about it.
Something was fishy about the situation.
It wouldn’t be until five long years later that Katsuki would meet Izuku again. Katsuki was supposed to go on a business trip despite being the number one hero. He was going to be a representative for the Hero Agency as some of the people working on support gear really wanted to work with this Hero Support Department.
All he knew was that was underground, but ridiculously good.
Much to Katsuki’s surprise, the Hero Support building was huge. If his coworkers said that this business was underground, then they were still beyond successful.
Marching into the elevator where he was to be taken to the top floor. He enjoyed not being hounded by the people rushing around. It was clear they prioritized their work over getting an autograph from a famous hero.
When the doors slid open, Katsuki was met with a pretty basic floor plan. On one side of the floor was the office while on the other was the workroom for Support gear.
Assuming the largest office belonged to the owner, Katsuki entered calmly. The last thing Katsuki expected to see was Izuku standing by the windows lining the room.
“Holy shit. Izuku?”
Izuku’s head whipped around, staring at Katsuki. “Kacchan?
Katsuki, in his hero suit and all, raced over to Izuku. Izuku already felt the tears of relief form in his eyes as his chest was filled with uncontrollable emotions. Katsuki pulled Izuku close, crushing him in a hug.
With close to no hesitation, Izuku wrapped his arms around Katsuki and cried. He spent so many years alone trying to navigate the hero world alone. Just being reminded that there was someone who missed him and was happy to see him brought Izuku such joy.
“What the hell Nerd?” croaked Katsuki, pulling back to look at Midoriya’s face.
“I’m sorry, Kacchan,” sighed Izuku softly, looking up at Bakugo with a guilty frown.
Katsuki shook his head, raising a hand to rest against his forehead. “One day you say you're leaving because of family problems and the next you’re reported missing. Do you have any idea how fucking insane that is?”
Izuku nodded stiffly. Katsuki noted that the nodding was less meant for him and more toward Izuku himself. Izuku stepped back to lean on his desk. “It was insane. I was the one who lived it. I couldn’t risk anyone finding out about my plans to run away. I had no intention of ever returning if you couldn’t tell.”
“I got the memo. But still, your mother was devastated… I can’t imagine why you’d leave her without even a note,” stated Katsuki gently despite the rasp in his voice.
Shaking his head, Izuku let it fall forward as a pain-filled smile spread across his face. “Kacchan. She’s the reason I ran away.”
Within a matter of seconds, Katsuki’s world was flipped upside down. Despite his initial suspicion of Inko being involved in the disappearance of Izuku, she had flawlessly manipulated him into a false sense of security. She claimed that Izuku hadn’t been acting any different, that she was happy he was getting out more, and a plethora of sappy mom crap he truly couldn’t have cared less about.
In the end, Inko was the reason. All those days she cried and begged for someone to find her son; she was the reason he was gone. The countless times she was over at their place for dinner, rambling on about Izuku and how incredible he was, she drove him away. Inko played the victim so well and that said everything Katsuki needed to know.
As Katsuki processed the information and the past years without Izuku and his interactions with Inko, Izuku watched. Fierce green eyes lasered in on Katsuki’s expression as the truth sunk in. It was relieving to see that Katsuki instantly trusted him.
“Damn.”
“Yeah…”
Katsuki kicked an imaginary stone before meeting Izuku’s gaze. “So… what did she do? Where did you go? How’d you end up here?”
Izuku smiled, walking to the glass windows lining the room. “She was sometimes good, but she was an extreme narcissist at heart. She was neglectful in all ways you could think of and without fail… every day, she was emotionally abusive.”
“Why didn’t you tell anyone? You know Aunty would have helped,” pointed out Bakugo. While he wasn’t necessarily trying to victim-blame Midoriya, he wanted to know why Midoriya hadn’t reached out to outlets he had before making such a serious choice.
Stepping back to turn around and face Katsuki again, Izuku scowled. “I’m sorry, but do you have no idea how dumb you sound right now?”
Gawking in disbelief, Katsuki crossed his arms in defense. “Fucking excuse me? That’s a very good question to ask considering you chose to run away without letting anyone know instead of trying to get help if you were in a bad situation.”
Pinching the bridge of his nose, Izuku shook his head. “I don’t think you are listening to me. I just told you Inko was a narcissist. If I were to reach out to Mitsuki for help, she would confront my mom, and the entire problem would somehow be my fault in the end. If Mitsuki somehow wasn’t fooled, I’d still be forced to come back home and that was the last thing I wanted to happen.”
“Shit… sorry. It’s just I don’t understand how you just decided to leave everything behind,” clarified Katsuki slowly, raising his shameful head to meet Izuku’s disappointed gaze.
There was a heavy atmosphere in the room, but Izuku and Katsuki weren’t about to walk away from the conversation without figuring things out.
Deflating after letting thirty long seconds of silence pass, Izuku stressed, “It was for the best. Being at home was a nightmare and I needed to get out. Trying to survive in the world as a quirkless teen was far less scary than the idea of being under the same roof as Inko for another moment.”
Katsuki nodded slowly, stepping toward Izuku to reach for his hand. As soon as his large soft fingers linked with Izuku's small rough ones, he tightened his grip. “I’m sorry. You deserved better. I bet it wasn’t an easy decision to make and I know you had to work your ass off to get to this point. Fuck Inko and the shit she did to you, it’s clear you didn’t need to stick around to achieve greatness.”
Lip wobbling and glassy-eyed, Izuku sniffled as he squeezed Katsuki’s hand back. “Thank you, Kacchan. It was hard… leaving you behind. I wanted to tell you—I really did, I just couldn’t risk it.”
“You don’t have to apologize for keeping yourself safe idiot,” chastised Katsuki fondly, lowering his head to focus on the small changes in Izuku’s mature features.
“Right,” croaked Izuku, doing his best to not flood his office with tears. “I worked at a coffee shop full time and lived in an apartment on top of the cafe. I had a good paycheck, a place to live, and I was able to use all my free time to finish my schooling online. Once I graduated, I just started climbing the social ladder while doing countless programs in the hero support gear field.”
Katsuki grinned, letting go of Izuku’s hand to rest both hands on his hips. “Not surprised a nerd like you was able to pull all of this off. Still, I’m not planning on letting you disappear on me again.”
Izuku quickly wiped his face before running his fingers through his hair. “Likewise. We will be business partners after all.”
“Huh? You mean you’re accepting my agency's request to have our hero gear produced solely by your department?” quizzed Katsuki, eagerly. While he was more than thrilled to see Izuku again and know that the missing piece of him was no longer missing, he really did want the best for his hero agency and all the heroes working with him.
“Of course! While I do have favorites and you are one of them, I’d never turn down work proposals!” cheered Izuku quickly as he made his way to his desk where stacks of papers were sitting.
“Hell yeah!”
“But just know I’m still expecting compensation for a decade of your bullying,” teased Izuku, raising a contract with a devilish smile.
Shivering with a manic smirk on his face, Katsuki enthusiastically snatched the paper from Izuku. “Sign me up.”

HERO X FAMILY Halloween episode
Let's face it: Halloween is HERE and I didn't even manage to start writing that episode in time, especially since I've estimated it at 3-4 chapters (12k words). So, I dropped the episode from my write / draw to-do list for now (but might pick it back up sometime).
Which is a little sad, because it would have been more of a Dadmight episode rather than a Toshinko one. And it has little grumpy Kacchan in it, too.
Anyway, for your pleasure, here's how the episode would have gone:
The story opens with Inko POV as she hears Mitsuki drag Kacchan up the stairs of the apartment complex. The two are bickering loudly. When Inko gets the door we find out that Mitsuki drops off Katsuki at the Midoriyas so he can go with Izuku to a Halloween street fest.
Katsuki wears a golden age AM costume and is upset about it, since he wanted to be his own hero, but Mitsuki thought grenade bracelets were stupid and that's what their fight had been all about. Izuku is dressed as Silver Age AM (a gift from Toshi) and Kacchan points out that there can be only one number one.
Inko calms him down by offering to sew Katsuki his own costume for next Halloween. She's dressed up as Nana, because Toshi suggested it, and oh boy, he regrets that suggestion because now his wife looks like his mother figure and that's weird(!). Also Inko has to tell everyone who Nana was, but both Toshi and Inko agreed it's a good thing to remind people of who she was.
(I'm still undecided about whether or not Mon is living with them (yet). If so, she can wear a simple Ryukyu dragon costume.)
Toshi shows up in a villain outfit (yes the one from the OVA), so he and the kids can stage mock battles, but also because Inko wouldn't let him pick a scary costume. Katsuki immediately calls mock battles pointless since a gust of wind could defeat him. Well, that's just how Katsuki is around Toshi in this AU.
Skip forward. Toshi POV. They're out on the streets. There's decorations, music. Children are going trick-or-treating. Toshi notices a shady group of people next to a van and awkwardly lies to Inko about having to double back bc he forgot his painkillers.
Now alone, Toshi sneaks up to the suspected villains and listens in as they discuss a robbery. Bc odd coincidences happen in this AU, these first-time villains got their costumes at the same store Toshi got his. He puts on a mask and buffs up, planning to scare them away when he is discovered and mistaken for the requested backup.
Toshi decides to play along since they haven't actually commited a crime yet and they aren't particularly strong or confident.
Izuku or Inko POV. We see Katsuki "demanding" sweets. He is mistaken for a "villain AM". Izuku tells him to be nicer. Katsuki tries. He's hilariously bad at it.
Meanwhile, the group of villains has prepared a stage in the middle of the road and is drawing in a small crowd with free sweets and claiming to announce the winner of the costume contest. "All Smite" is with them.
Inko, Katsuki and Izuku go to see what the commotion is about when one of the villains creates a dome around the crowd, and another makes passers-by oblivious to that dome. A third threatens the civilians and demands their valuables. If they don't comply, All Smite is supposed to step in.
Toshi doesn't let it come to that. He pretends to be frightened of Izuku and Kacchan because "his only weakness are children dressed up like AM on Halloween, for they can gain the power of the hero!" It's horribly contrived, and the only person willing to believe him is Izuku.
Little Izuku throws a punch and Toshi pretends to get hit by jumping back and into the other villains.
Now convinced, Katsuki joins in.
It's actually Toshi knocking the villains around, but who cares? The children get to be actual heroes for a day.
Before long, the villains flee (thoroughly scared of the kids and discouraged from committing another crime), and Toshi runs away with them. He actually lets them go since no one got injured (besides the villains) and because it'll be one less report for him to write.
Closing scene probably has Izuku and Kacchan excitedly telling Toshi all about the adventure he missed out on.

Old and New Wounds
An alarm starts going off.
“I thought we were done with training for the day,” Todoroki says. “We have to get back to the dorms.”
“That’s not a training alarm,” Endeavor says, then heads out of the training room quickly.
Izuku and Todoroki rush to catch up to him.
“What’s the situation, Burnin?” Endeavor asks.
“There’s a guy breaking into places and incapacitating everyone he comes into contact with. We don’t have a record of him or what his Quirk is,” Burnin answers.
“Alright, let’s get to the scene.” He turns to Izuku and Todoroki. “You two don’t have to come.”
“But we’re coming anyway,” Todoroki replies.
Izuku nods.
“Alright then.”
Izuku, Todoroki, Endeavor, and Burnin head out to the scene as quickly as they can and find the villain coming out of a jewelry store. Endeavor attacks the villain and he dodges. The others join in on the attack, making it a whirlwind of people. Izuku and Endeavor back up to survey the situation. The villain throws Todoroki at Endeavor and Endeavor barely manages to catch Todoroki. He’s helping Todoroki stand when Todoroki gets hit by a blast. He goes flying backwards.
“Shoto!”
Endeavor gets hit with a blast and goes flying through the wall of a nearby shop.
“Sir!” Burnin shouts, running over to check on Endeavor.
The villain goes to shoot Burnin and Izuku hits him with a Delaware Smash Air Force. He turns towards Izuku and starts firing shots at him. Izuku dodges most of them, but one of them grazes his arm. It doesn’t hurt, but his mind starts buzzing a little.
“My Quirk brings up buried trauma. Not always the most handy, but quite useful for dealing with heroes. Always so traumatized.”
Another shot hits Izuku’s arm.
“You’re useless.” “You’ll never amount to anything.” “Useless Izuku.” “I’ll call you Deku!”
Izuku pushes the endless stream of insults out of his mind.
I’m not useless, not anymore.
He continues attacking the villain and while he seems a little surprised, willingly goes back to fighting Izuku. Izuku notices that Todoroki seems to be recovering, which is good. He notices that Endeavor still hasn’t gotten up. The villain goes to attack Todoroki again and Izuku manages to get to him first. He grabs Todoroki with Blackwhip and pulls Todoroki over to him. While he looks surprised, Todoroki quietly thanks Izuku for the save.
“No problem.”
The villain manages to hit Deku with the ray again, but it’s different this time. The scenery around him changes to the kitchen of the Todoroki Household.
Shoto, who woke up to the sound of his mother’s voice, walks towards the kitchen, where her voice is coming from. Rei’s standing in the kitchen with a kettle on the stove. She’s on the phone with someone, but Todoroki can’t tell who it is.
“I feel like I’m going crazy. I can’t take it anymore. Everyday, the child seem more like him. And Shoto, that child’s left side looks unbearable to me. All I can see is his father. I can’t raise him anymore. I want to run away from this life.”
“Mom? What are you saying?”
Rei gives Todoroki a crazed look, then grabs Todoroki’s arm and pours boiling water on his face.
Izuku gets pulled back to reality by Todoroki tossing him into an alleyway to avoid another blast from the villain’s gun.
“Are you alright, Midoriya?” Todoroki asks. “You froze.”
Izuku nods, trying to push the horrific scene from his mind. “Yeah, I’m fine. I really wish Kacchan was here. He would be able to get this guy with his explosions.”
“Well Bakugo isn’t here, so we need a plan because my father’s still out of commission.”
Izuku turns his attention towards Endeavor and he’s still lying motionless in the rumble of that broken wall.
“Is Endeavor alive?” Izuku asks. “I haven’t seen him move since being hit.”
Todoroki glances at Endeavor. “He’s fine. Focus on the plan.”
“Plan. Plan.” Izuku looks around. “Todoroki, do you think you can cause a massive distraction?”
Todoroki nods. “What do you have in mind, Midoriya?”
Izuku watches Todoroki rush out of the alleyway producing large amounts of ice and blocking the villain in while also distracting him. Izuku smiles and uses Delaware Smash Air Force to propel himself into the air. The villain’s completely distracted by trying to find Todoroki among the ice, so Izuku kicks him in the back of the head. The villain grabs Izuku and takes Izuku down with him. The two struggle on the ground and Izuku gets stabbed in the side. Deku uses a little of One For All and kicks him in the head again.
He gets knocked unconscious by the kick and Izuku gets up. He covers the wound with a hand so he can stop the bleeding. He looks around and notices that camera crews showed up at some point and are filming. Luckily, you can only see his head over the ice, so he quickly retreats behind a larger piece of ice. He leans against the ice so he doesn’t fall over. The adrenaline is crashing and he’s really starting to feel the effects of the blood loss.
“Young Midoriya!” Izuku turns and sees All Might running towards him.
He pushes himself off the ice and steadies himself, then braces for All Might to grab his shoulders like he usually does. Instead, All Might hugs him and it takes everything in him not to make a pained noise. All Might holds him at arm’s length, probably to get a good look at him, but Izuku’s strength gives out and he falls forward. All Might catches him and notices the wound Izuku’s actively been covering with his hand.
“Young Midoriya.”
Izuku smiles at All Might. “Did you see the fight?”
All Might nods. “I saw the whole thing.”
“I did good, right?” Izuku asks. “I used my power well?”
“Of course you did. You helped take down a powerful villain. I’m proud of you.”
“Thanks, Dad. Just… Tell Mom…”
“Hey, you’re gonna be fine.”
Izuku nods. “Just tell Mom that I’ll be fine. Not to worry too much.”
“You know how your mother is. She worries all the time. I don’t exactly help with all the reckless things I put you through.”
Izuku manages a small shrug. The paramedics rush over and take Izuku to an ambulance. He passes out on the way to the hospital.
Izuku wakes up to a familiar beeping and the sound of Bakugo yelling at someone.
Kacchan’s yelling is getting closer, which means that Kacchan’s coming.
Izuku opens his eyes to see a hospital room and Inko, sitting in the chair beside his bed. All Might’s outside of the door with a doctor. Inko smiles when she notices that his eyes are open.
“Hey, Mom.”
“Izuku.”
She starts crying and Izuku immediately starts comforting her as much as he can verbally. All Might walks in with Bakugo and he rushes over to Inko. Bakugo walks over to Izuku’s bed and gently yanks on his ear.
“Ow,” Izuku says, even though it didn’t hurt that much.
“Stop doing dumb shit,” Bakugo demands. “The one time I’m not there you get stabbed, really?”
“I’m not useless anymore, am I Kacchan?”
Bakugo’s frown deepens. “You’re not useless. Get the idea out of your head.”
Izuku nods as Bakugo sits down. Inko’s luckily stopped crying, but she still looks like she might start crying again at any second. The doctor comes in and tells them that Izuku’s gonna be fine. That he’s gotten the blood that he needs and the broken ribs are taken care of. He wants Izuku to stay overnight for observation to make sure that nothing pops up, but that they can go in the morning as long as everything stays the same. His parents walk out to do some paperwork, so Izuku and Bakugo start chatting about Bakugo’s “house arrest”.
Not long after they start talking, Todoroki walks into the room and he looks displeased.
“Hey, Todoroki. Is Endeavor alright?”
Todoroki grabs a chair and pulls it up next to Bakugo. “My father’s actively in psychological holding because he freaked out and attacked some of the staff when he woke up. They said that it’s most likely an aftereffect of the ability since he was apparently hit with such a high powered shot, but they don’t know what state he’ll be in when he wakes up again.”
“Are you worried?” Izuku asks.
“Yes, but I believe he will pull through just fine. How are you feeling, Bakugo?”
“I’m fine.”
“I talked to your mother on the way in Midoriya. She says that you’re gonna be fine.”
“Oh yeah, we talked to the doctors a couple minutes before you came in. That’s why my parents are outside, they’re doing some paperwork.”
Todoroki nods, then gets up. “I’m going to go check on my father again. None of the others have shown up yet so I’ll be the only one there if he does wake up.”
“See ya later, Todoroki.”
“Let me know if you need anything, IcyHot.”
Todoroki nods again, then heads out.

Double Detonation Chapter 4
Using my quirk at my feet, I accelerated forward faster than I ever thought possible, screaming, "Katsuki!" I caught him before he could land face-first on the concrete. I sat on my knees, holding him up in a sitting position while he coughed up some gunk. I cringed at the sight, patting his back gently. I didn’t really know what to say, my body was shaking as pros closed in on us. Katsuki groaned and turned his head to look at me, a small smirk forming. I looked confused as he spoke, his voice a bit rough from the near suffocation he just endured. “T-told you, th-at, you could move faster.” I frowned in annoyance. “ARE YOU SERIOUSLY JOKING AROUND RIGHT NOW!” I shouted, smacking him gently on the back of his head. He hissed. “Oi, what the hell woman!”
The pro heroes start praising my brother’s quirk for the sheer power he showed when he was captured. No, please, stop encouraging him. His ego is already big enough as it is. I groaned to myself. I looked over, hoping to spot Midoriya. Once I spotted him, I got up and walked over to him, frowning at his expression. “You moron, do you have a death wish!” The walking twig shouted at him. OH HELL NAW. I quickly moved my way over. “There was absolutely no reason to-” I pushed the man with white hair to the side, standing in front of Izuku. I crossed my arms and glared at both of them.
“I don’t fucking think so. There is NO way in hell I’m going to let you talk to Izuku like that!” I growled, looking back at Midoriya with a small smile before scowling back at the two men. “He was the only fucking person who tried to help my brother in there!” I spat. “You should be ashamed of yourselves! You both are heroes. You should be setting an example rather than chastising someone who acted more like a hero than you lot today!” I finished, turning back to Midoriya, seeing him standing and fiddling with his fingers with a small blush on his cheeks.
I walked over to Midoriya, giving him a gentle hug. “Thank you Izuku, I owe ya one, okay?” I smiled at him, causing his blush to deepen, turning him into a human strawberry. “I-I didn't really do anything m-major, it's okay! You d-don't owe m-me anything!” He stutters, waving his hands around nervously. I chuckle softly at his antics. “Seriously though, if you need something, just call me.” I waved him goodbye, heading back towards my brother.
“C'mom, let's go home ‘Suki,” I said, starting the walk home. Katsuki looks at Midoriya with a fierce glare before following.
It has been about a week and a half since the incident. Also, the same amount of time when I decided I was going to fully train my quirk and my body like I was supposed to. The feeling of not being able to do anything when someone I loved was suffering…never again. I started using my allowance money to pay for a gym membership. I purposely chose one that was an hour away so I could get in a good run every other day. I didn't really work out in my past life due to health issues, but damn it felt nice being able to run without dying from exhaustion.
My favorite part of the gym has to be the rock climbing course. I can't just go around parkouring things without getting into trouble, but here, I can do it as much as I want. Though the adults watching get mad at me if I try to do stupid shit, joy killers. I try to improve my time on the course every time I come but sometimes I rush a bit too much and fall, ruining the run. Speak of the devil. “Ahh shit!” I yelled as I missed my footing, and fell on the floor padding. “Damn it!” I shouted in frustration. Knew I should have gone for the closer stone. “That could have been my best time yet,” I grumbled into my hands.
“Woah, dude you good? You fell from the top level.” A guy's voice spoke. A hand reached out towards me.
Hearing a voice next to me, I looked up towards them. My eyes widened at this guy's very familiar appearance. Crimson hair and eyes…oh shit. “O-oh um, yeah I'm good,” I replied, taking his hand. He pulls me up, giving me his signature toothy grin. “That's good, even with the padding it can be easy to sprain your ankle or something.” He said, shrugging his shoulders. Shit, am I seriously meeting one of my favorite comfort characters in person…BEFORE I EVEN ATTEND UA! Kazumi panic mode has been initiated, requesting backup.
I chuckled nervously, starting to pick at the skin on one of my arms subconsciously. “A-ah yeah, that would have sucked, my name's Bakugou K-Kazumi.” I stuttered, offering a slightly shaky hand to greet him properly. God damn it nerves, stop it, you're fine! I swear his eyes fucking sparkled at the gesture. Ugh, why is he such a fucking cinnamon roll in real life too!
“Sweet! I'm Kirishima Ejirirou. Are you new here? I haven't seen you at this gym until recently.”
Recently!? He's fucking been here and I haven't noticed! “N-no I'm not, I don't live near here, I live about an hour or so away. I just use this gym as an excuse to make me run.” I explained.
Kirishima looked a bit shocked. “You run here for an hour!? Do you also run home?”
“Yup, though I don't go to the gym every day.” I'm too damn lazy to do that.
“Damn dude, I'd be too exhausted afterward to go running home, and I live nearby, respect man!” Kirishima laughs wholeheartedly with his sharp teeth showing, making me smile softly. “When do you normally leave?” He asked, tilting his head slightly.
“Eh, about 7:30. Gives me enough time to be home before curfew.”
Kirishima looks excited for a moment before calming himself down. “Would ya by any chance want to spar some? I- haven't really got many friends that would be willing to go to the gym with me- it's okay if that's a no tho!”
I pulled my phone out of my pocket for a second to check the time. I still have about an hour before I have to leave. I shrug, shoving the phone back down. “Sure why not.”
I regret agreeing to this.
I thought I was getting better at hand-to-hand combat fighting Katsuki. But God, he was kicking my ass, and that was without his quirk. Kirishima sent a quick, and hard kick to my side, making me kneel down, gasping for breath. I was on the floor panting, fuck. I almost wonder if Katsuki has been holding out on me, but I know he wouldn't do that. Fucker is too prideful to not go full strength. I held my hand up to signal a stop. “J-Jesus Christ red, what are you made out of.”
“S-sorry didn't mean for it to hurt that much.” He laughed nervously as he helped me up. “I got thick skin, even without my quirk.”
I already knew what it was, but if I was going to build any friendships with anyone, I can't just be some weirdo who knows almost everything about them right away. “If you don't mind me asking, what's your quirk?” I asked gingerly, knowing it was a rather sensitive topic for him.
“Eh..my quirk is Hardening.” He replied with a voice that was a bit solemn, holding out his arm, turning the skin into a rock-like texture. “It's not very flashy but I'm aiming for the hero course of UA, which is why I'm here training.” He said, looking at me. “What about you?”
I frowned at his tone. Poor baby needs to build more confidence. “Mine is called Explosion. As the name suggests, I can make explosions with my hands and feet using my sweat.” Kazumi explained. “I would show you but…I would rather not accidentally blow anything up right now, sorry.”
“It's all good man, but I definitely want to see it one day, it must be pretty flashy if it's explosive!” Kirishima exclaims, his eyes widening slightly. “Oh shoot!” He pulled his phone out, unlocking the screen to the contact list page. “Mind if we swap numbers since you live far away? I'd love to keep in touch.” He asks, handing me his phone.
My face lights up at the thought as I make a new contact. I click the camera button, taking a quick selfie before typing in my phone number. This is exciting! The only people I have on my phone are my family and Midoriya. I finish up the information and hand the device back. “Text me and I'll save the number,” I said as I picked up my backpack. Kirishima and I walk towards the exit, the sliding glass doors open and we step onto the sidewalk.
“Bet, it was nice meeting you Bakugou!” Kirishima smiled, waving me goodbye as I walked off. I nodded, lazily raising my arm to wave it. “Yeah, you too,” I said, stepping up the pace into a sprint as I headed home.
I huffed as I made my way through the door. Hearing a notification from my phone, I threw myself on the living room couch and dug out my phone from my pocket. “Hey, it’s Kirishima! Thanks for the great day!” I smiled widely, instantly typing him back. “No problem man, I had fun even if you were kicking my ass.” I sent a message back with a laughing emoji. What I didn’t realize was that Katsuki heard me coming home and that he was currently behind me, watching.
“What the fuck, since when did you use emojis, and why are you smiling so goddamn much.” He demanded, throwing so many questions at me unexpectedly. Hearing his voice, I jumped, closing my phone with a slight blush. “N-none of your business! Stop stalking me!” I shouted.
Katsuki narrows his gaze at me, a shit-eating grin forming. “OLD HAG, KAZUMI HAS A BOYFRIEND.” I jumped again at the volume, my eyes widening. “Katsuki!” I yelled, jumping over the sofa to tackle him to the floor. A woman's voice from the floor above shouted.
“WHAT!?”
Ending note: Hey everyone, sorry that this chapter took a bit longer to write than the others. I took a bit of a break last week since I was a bit tired from work and didn't have the motivation to write. I did start, but I never finished and I hated it for a while because I was unsure of what I wanted to do for it. I figured it out tho so I hope you all enjoyed the chapter!

"Stop being so difficult Bakugo," Mina flicked the side of his head, "Listen to Denki here, just....be nice for once."
"Yeah bro," Denki gave him a smug smile, "Just use the method and poof! You got yourself a boyfriend!"
OR
Katsuki Bakugo is whipped so bad that he somehow resorts to actually half-listening to Denki's advice. With his own charm, of course. (Read: He kind of fucked it up)
---
Katsuki Bakugo was, often to his detriment, a very passionate person. He’d yell at his video game screen whenever Denki or Kirishima would find a way to shoot themselves in battle. He would get overly invested in English presentations and try to find a way to make them the most pretentious sounding in the class. One thanksgiving, he almost set his house on fire after he realized the pie dough he had spent four hours trying to perfect came out a sticky and goopy mess.
Point being, he had a tendency to be dramatic at times, and being a fifteen year old boy in the beginning stages of a crush, even he was starting to find himself fucking insufferable.
Izuku Midoriya. That was his kryptonite. Freaking Deku. He wasn’t exactly sure when or even how he started looking at Deku and the stupid little chemicals in his brain started going feral, but, well, that’s what was happening.
Like any fifteen year old boy with a crush, Bakugo acted like he knew everything. And, also like most fifteen year old boys, his arrogance was starting to get in the way of acting on said crush.
Bakugo tried to take a deep breath, but ended up inhaling so sharply he made himself cough a bit on his own saliva. The fact that it was only then that his lab partner briefly looked away from her absolute trash tik tok for you page and not during any of the fucking labs made him want to scream.
“Oh my god this is the third time this period Katsushit” she tapped her annoying as fuck pink acrylic nails on the counter for the thirteenth time that period, “please, I’m begging you, read a wiki how article on breathing or something.”
“Why don’t you shove your phone up a flamingo’s ass and go be quiet in the corner, Go eat some shrimp or something, pink raccoon.”
“That wasn’t very nice”, Mina pouted, shutting off her phone and putting it in the pocket of her pink metallic bomber that for some reason kept getting on Bakugo’s nerves, “did Kirishima text you about tonight by the way? You are gonna come, right?”
“No.” Bakugo began stuffing his pencil in a random pocket of his backpack.
“No as in Kiri didn’t text you or no as in your being a little bitch?” Mina bit her lip and glanced over at the teacher who was making fun of one of the players on the basketball team.
Bakugo grunted in response, slinging his backpack over one arm and then the other.
“Midoriya’s gonna come.” Mina sang, nudging him in the shoulder.
He paused for a moment, poorly hiding the light blush that began to creep its way on to his face. “Fine. I’ll come along but for the record it’s only because Deku‘s mom never lets him get out.”
Luckily, whatever the raccoon was planning on saying was cut off by the bell, which due to the speakers being blown were chaotically distorted, blared throughout the classroom. He began walking out without her. He rolled his eyes but was secretly a little relieved when she started walking after her.
“Hey guys!“ an evil, annoying shrill startled Bakugo..
“Denki!“ Mina ran over to hug him, like the extra she was, “How was your second period?”
“I don’t know, I slept through it all,” Denki pulled his hand out from his hoodie pocket and shot Mina with some finger guns as they began walking towards the cafeteria, “did you guys check the group chat by the way? Kiri and I were having our morning anxiety attack.”
Bakugo pulled out his phone and opened 192 notifications for the group chat he had been forced into, named ‘Denki’s funeral’.
“Not your I heart hot mom's hoodie!” Mina gasped.
“Yeah! I was like, sweating bro,”Denki turned over to Bakugo who was silently listening to their conversation, waiting for the perfect moment to insult the pair, “Since I know you won’t actually read all the messages I’ll catch you up; yesterday when I was doing my laundry-“.
“For once.” Bakugo grumbled as they got in line.
“-my mom came in and saw my I heart hot mom's hoodie! She asked me where I had found it, was it mine, did I ever wear it, blah blah blah. And I was all; ‘mom I’d never wear anything degrading to women like that! It’s my friend Kirishima’s! He forgot it and I decided to wash it for him, like the holy child I am.” Denki clasped his hands in the air, trying to emphasize his point.
“Only your dumbass would get in trouble for having a hot moms hoodie by your own fucking mom.” Bakugo chided, trying his very best to contain his laughter. Mina was already losing it.
Denki laughed, “I know man! But get this, Kiri came over this morning and my mom told him that if she ever caught him with that hoodie again, he’d call his mom!”
Bakugo couldn’t help it and began to cackle. The three of them tried their best to contain themselves as they got to the front of the line.
Since November that year, Denki had found a hoodie that had written ‘I heart hot moms’ and had worn it almost every day since, it was so stupid it was funny.
“Can I have the double chocolate chip muffin?” Denki chirped, smiling at the lunch lady.
“Diabetes.” Bakugo whispered in his ear before walking away with his bagel.
“Bakubro!!” Kirishima’s voice echoed throughout the cafeteria.
“Did you finish your English essay?” Bakugo deadpanned.
“Stop being so annoying Bakugo!” Mina swatted his arm as if he was a fucking fly. “Sorry, he’s just grumpy, his little Deku didn’t talk to him before school today.”
“Shut up.” Bakugo actually saw Deku running to class late, he probably had overslept. That dumbass was lucky he was cute.
“Okay so to answer your question, lots of things were done in English,” Kirishima sipped his chocolate milk as Bakugo sighed, “no, I l did not finish the essay. Instead, I wrote a book.”
And sure enough, at 9:40 in the fucking morning, Kirishima pulled out a stack of lined paper that had been stapled and drawn and written in Crayola with such sloppy writing it looked like a kindergarten assignment .
“Ooooo” Mina, being the simp she is for Kirishima, grabbed it.
“I call it; Kirishima has an anxiety attack and a frowny face. But not like a frowny face as in the words, but like, an actual frowny face.” Kirishima said, pointing to the title and the frowny face which had been written in red crayon. “It even has its first review! I showed it to Mr. Aizawa and he wrote ‘get some help’ and gave it five stars!” Mina and Kirishima cheered. “He didn’t cancel the essay though…”
“He just didn’t understand it. No one understands masterpieces until 30 years after they’ve died anyways.” Mina said, awkwardly patting Kirishima’s hand.
“Kaachan!” Bakugo felt his soul momentarily jump out of his body and tried to jump out the nearest window like that one brown cat that tried jumping out of the window once it saw Denki last week when he went to volunteer at an Animal Shelter. Deku seemed to notice this and laughed. “Sorry Kaachan!”
“Go away” Bakugo mumbled, staring at Deku’s tattered shoe laces.
“Deku wanted to ask you something.” Bakugo glanced up, noticing Todoroki’s emo ass hovering over Deku, who was playfully swatting his elbow.
“No.” Bakugo tried his best to sound tough as he angrily sipped his chocolate milk. Tasted chunky. The school must’ve invested into the football team again.
“Kaachan! I was wondering if you were going to go to karaoke tonight!” Deku buzzed with excitement.
Kirishima and Mina began winking at Bakugo from behind Deku, god Bakugo wanted to beat them up sometimes.
“Yeah whatever. Don’t expect me to sing though.” Bakugo sighed, trying (and failing) to pretend he wasn’t paying attention to Deku's reaction.
Kirishima, Mina and Denki (who appeared out of fucking thin air) began cheering loud enough so that the weird upperclassmen’s table began looking at them funny. Bakugo was too distracted throwing plastic utensils at them to hear Deku’s mumbling.
“Bro, you should totally listen to what Midobro is saying. Stop being so rude.” Kirishima walked close to Bakugo, flicking his forehead. Bakugo made a mental note to steal his beloved cookies later to piss him off.
“What is it now Deku?” Bakugo said a little louder than he intended.
“Um well, my mom’s kinda worried y’know? I was uh,” Deku but his lip, his face growing a little red, “..she trusts you and she was wondering if you could um, walk with me to the karaoke place?”
Mina, Kirishima and Denki started silently screaming, jumping up and down celebrating. Bakugo wanted to drown all of them.
“What, Deku you're like, a 5 minute walk from uptown, don’t tell me you can’t handle yourself alone for 5 minutes.” Bakugo rolled his eyes, trying to ignore Kirishima crossing his arms, Denki mouthing no and Mina pretending to throttle him, “Why doesn’t your boyfriend over here walk you over?” Katsuki nudged his head towards Deku’s emo ass friend Todoroki, who let out a deep sigh slowly shaking his head.
“What?! Todoroki- I’m- He’s not-” Deku’s face went red.
“Really Bakugo?” Mina deadpanned, giving him a rather judgy look for someone who expected to be showered with love for just aggressively complimenting stupidity. Bakugo mumbled for her to shut up, her response being a frustratingly disappointed look.
“I have a history exam tomorrow. Momo, Jirrou, Tsuyu, Sero, Tokoyami and I already have plans to study so I will unfortunately not be able to accompany my friend Midoriya.” Todoroki gave him a cold glance. It was always so frustrating how nerdy and emo he was, Bakugo would sometimes like to daydream of him absolutely losing it like a normal person (Bakugo) goddamnit.
“If you don't, that's fine-” Deku began rambling, staring at the floor. Bakugo sighed, and held up his hand, trying to gesture to Deku to breathe and let him speak.
“Whatever. I’ll pick you up at 6.” Bakugo rolled his eyes, trying to play the flush on his face as anger through his aggressive tone, “Now get outta my way, I have to walk myself to class.”
“Thanks so much Kaachan! You're awesome!” Deku chirped from behind Bakugo, who had been speed walking, hoping to end the conversation sounding…cool?
Denki, Mina and Kirishima quickly ran after him, speed walking behind him.
“Well,” Mina popped the pink bubbles she had been blowing with some pink bubblegum she would give out to just about any girl that batted their eyelashes at her and ask, “That was a disaster.”
“I know man! I was really hoping Jirrou would come, I was gonna totally serenade her with my awesome singing voice.” Denki’s voice screeched from behind them.
“Not that bro!” Kirishima playfully shoved the side of Denki’s face. “Bakubro totally lost his groove.”
“When does he not?” Mina remarked, annoyance laced in her voice.
“Whatever, I’m gonna walk with him alone, at night. You guys talk big game for a bunch of losers who would combust if they were alone with their crushes for five seconds.” Katsuki finally stopped walking and turned around to face the three of them, rolling his eyes at how Kirishima and Mina were both aggressively trying to not make eye contact.
Denki beamed, “Guys don’t freak! Look at it this way, we have like 8 hours to teach Baku here the method. ” He waggled his eyebrows, clearly being vague just for the attention.
“Is the method preying on self-insecure people?” Mina questioned.
Kirishima snickered, panicking and disguising his laughter as a cough when he saw the glare Bakugo was giving him.
“Hot mom’s over here is right, come one guys we gotta scheme up a method for a bro in need.” Kirishima pumped a fist in the air.
“First, compliment how he looks when you pick him up. Swoon him.” Denki talked in between the final few bites of his chocolate muffin. “Then, do them indirect touches. Brush up against him and stuff. You know the drill.” Denki winked at him, causing him to shudder.
“No.” Bakugo smirked, “I’m going to flirt with him like I always do.”
“Bakugo…we’ve been over this. Just because you like insulting him doesn’t mean that it doesn’t hurt his feelings.” Kirishima scolded.
“Shut up! My method works more than your aggressively calling people dude and bro type of flirting method.” Bakugo snapped, Kirishima’s face going a bit red.
“Oh shut it twink!” Mina swatted his shoulder.
“ Excuse you-”
“For the love of everything, we just want to see you two happy ‘kay?” Mina cut him off. “Take it from someone who sat next to your little boo for an entire semester– he doesn’t really react to your insults that much, but praise? That’ll light that boy up! Don’t be a blockhead and just…be polite.”
Bakugo sighed, feeling strangely guilty at the puppy eyes they all seemed to be giving him.
“Whatever, I’ll try but when it backfires you all owe me boba.” He mumbled, Denki, Kirishima and Mina erupting in cheers as the bell rang.
---
Bakugo began to dread having to go to Deku’s house that day, struggling to ease his mind and focus on his studies during the rest of his classes, instead opting to sketch a boy with messy green curls and bright emerald eyes.
“Who is it!” Deku’s mom yelled from somewhere inside the Deku’s small cozy little house. The white metal door swung open. “Oh! Bakugo! Right on time too, my, my haven’t you grown up?” She cooed, Bakugo shoving his sweaty hands in his hoodie pocket.
“Yeah, I guess,” he mumbled, not making eye contact with her. “My mom says thank you for the lemons by the way.
“Hm, oh well tell her anytime! Well, I’ll go call Midoriya. He’s in his room doing his homework.” She disappeared from the doorway, allowing Bakugo to panic alone by himself.
“Kaachan!” Deku slid towards the doorway, Bakugo quickly putting on a scowl out of instinct. “Kaachan, you actually came!”
“Of course I did,” Bakugo was about to curse Deku for being stupid, but instead bit his lip, noticing Deku’s mom silently observing the two boys.
“Well, um.” Deku’s mom shuffled forward, planting a kiss on her son’s forehead, “Stay safe you two boys, and Bakugo, bring him back before 9.”
“Yes ma’am.” Bakugo played with his fingers inside of his hoodie, Deku’s mom chuckling before whispering goodbye and quietly closing the door.
“Thanks so much for coming again Kaachan!” Deku smiled, the two of them walking towards the sidewalk.
“Whatev-” Bakugo remembered Denki’s advice from earlier, “No problem.” (How desperate was he?)
They walked for a bit in silence, with the exception of when Deku commented on the stars that night and Bakugo grunted in response, clueless to how he could respond to that . Bakugo tried to keep himself cool and collected while simultaneously trying to hype himself to try and actually interact with Deku instead of awkwardly walking together in the quiet darkness.
“I like your stupid fucking eyes.” Bakugo blurted out as they were passing the park.
Deku’s eyes widened in surprise, “wait, like actually?” His face went red (Bakugo’s face was redder, wishing there were cars driving in the street next to them that he could run into.)
“Forget it, Deku.” Bakugo tried walking ahead of him, but Deku’s stubborn ass just sped up to keep up pace with him.
“Kaachan? Can I tell you a secret and can you promise not to be mad?” Deku squeaked from beside him.
“No,” he said, slowing down his pace so that Deku didn’t have to practically run to keep up with him.
“My mom said she trusted me to walk by myself. She didn’t say I had to walk with you, I lied.” Deku’s face reddened.
“What?” Bakugo stopped walking, the two of them standing on the bridge in the park that overlooked the koi pond. “Then why the hell am I even here?”
“Kaachan don’t be mad, but,” Deku whimpered, his voice shaking. He looked like he was about to cry, his face red, his hands sweaty.
And it was on that stupid bridge over the stupid koi pond in the extra stupid fucking moonlight that it hit Bakugo, that he was the dumbest most dense person in the world.
“Kaachan, I um, I kind of um-” Deku bit his lip. “ Ikindoflikeyou.”
“I’m sorry?” Bakugo stepped closer to Deku, his eyes widening in disbelief.
“Don’t be mean, Kaachan.” Deku softly mumbled, a defeated look crossing his face as he stared at his shoes. “I know you heard me.”
“Deku, stupid, fucking Deku,” Bakugo grinned, probably looking like a serial killer to any onlookers, “I kind of like you too.”
Deku looked up, his beautiful emerald eyes lighting up with joy, “Really! I thought you hated me!”
“What? No! I was flirting with you dumbass!” Bakugo laughed, feeling giddy with excitement, still he tried to look smug.
“You told me I looked like I ate paste in Kindergarten!” Deku laughed, walking beside him.
“That’s because you did Deku.” He taunted, bumping the green-haired teen to the side a bit as they strolled through the park. “Wait..am I supposed to like, kiss you or something?”
Deku smiled, his face flushing a bit. “Why don’t we just start with holding each other’s hands?” Terrified, yet happy nonetheless, Bakugo slowly reached down to hold Deku’s soft, sweaty hand. He grinned like an idiot over at Deku, who laughed, caressing Bakugo’s equally sweaty hand with his dumb. “Who’s the dumbass now Kaachan?”
“It’s still you, you dense asparagus, It’ll always be you Deku.” He looked over at Deku, running his free hand through Deku’s fluffy green hair, something he had always daydreamed about doing.
“Always?”
Bakugo squeezed Deku’s hand, “Always dumbass.”
(Mina screeched at the both of them when they walked in hand in hand at the Karaoke bar)
