As the news broke of the Migrant Labourers during Covid 19@ Nagpur leaving their villages and were running helter skelter in search of means to go back to their home towns and had started collecting at bus stops and various major junctures in city by whatever means they could cling on. Seeing this, members of the Jain Samaj from Itwari took inspiration from Mr. Badkur and formed teams and got into action to support the migrant labourers in distress and started onto the field on the 26th of March 20’ without fearing for one's own safety and life threatening pandemic wide spread.  Soon a large Community of members from Sangh joined hands and individuals started volunteering for the noble cause.The trust under discussion is “Shri Gyanoday Seva Sangh” which founded in 1992under the umbrella of “Shri Digambar Jain Parwar Mandir Trust”and with the blessings of “Acharya Shreeji Guruvar”. This sang also runs a hospital which has its own OPD, Dental and Physio Therapy Services for needy. Important to know is that this is not the first time the Sangh has come to the rescue for people in need, back in the year 2012 the Sangh has provide a complete meal to 60,000 people for a meagre 10 Rs. For 7 days and that is where they mastered their culinary skills for mass cooking and distribution. For selection of area and doing survey, the members got special support from Additional Commissioner; Mr. Nilesh Barne Sir & his team helped them in identifying the localities. It took, 49 days to distribute to 1,25,000 people with food, 150 ration kits to 150 families which comprised of 15 days ration for an entire family. "Punya karke apna Jeevan ko Safal karo"  With the blessings of Acharya Shreeji Guruvar and meticulous planning amongst the team members of sanghs they were able to carry on the task up their sleeves without any hurdle. The journey started when Kundan and Ankit met each other at a workshop in Hauz Khas for their passion for drama, direction, photography and storytelling and overtime became best of buddies. Except for above the duo had nothing in common but the things which was common was good enough to join hands.

The first driving force came from Kundan was born and brought up in Muzaffarpur, Bihar. He has always been curious about his culture, the city where he grew up, the people he was surrounded as family and friends, the Bihari language he fondly speaks along with the MTI which he carries and pretty much everything.

However people had a differential treatment towards Bihari and a perception he soon realised he wanted to change. So after his 12 years stint with TCS after graduating from KLE Society, Belgaum, he was looking for something more meaningful to bring Bihar on the Global Map.

Ankit Raj on the other hand back in Delhi NCR was pursuing Civil Engineering from Sharda University and was in the final year. Ankit got placed in ICICI bank and was working on property valuations in south Delhi and prepared property valuation reports. Even though he was a good performer his liking for drama and direction led him to explore couple of workshops in Hauz Khas which he joined and met Kundan, and formed Dramantram.

And along the journey they had partnered with Harsh, Rupam and Sashi as the founding team.

Dramantram (Pronounced as Dra-Mann-Tram) is a creative agency that takes a human-centred, design-based approach to innovate, create, and communicate. Their flexible approach works in tandem with creativity and innovation which they bring to every project for each of their clients which they treat as partners throughout their project execution and thereafter as a forever alliance.Today as we write, Dramantram has completed 5 years & had their share of turbulent & smooth sailing together.
