i actually thought in s1 that the caitvi dynamic was going to be. naive sheltered cop girl technically has the upper hand but she's so clueless that vi is always ahead of her and able to overpower her. and that when caitlyn gets her out of jail, it was gullible to think that vi would actually help her, because i was expecting vi to immediately abandon caitlyn once they got to the undercity. this is vi's turf, she'd have an easy time getting away from caitlyn (could've dropped her off at the prostitute place and dipped to go look for jinx).

and then she looks for vi for a while and eventually finds her and it's like "why did u leave . u said u'd help" and vi is like "girl... u are so stupid. why would i help you ur a cop" and caitlyn doesn't understand why vi is so untrusting and so guarded towards her, because she's sheltered and never actually BEEN in the undercity before, so it'd never cross her mind that people can not trust the government and expect bad things to happen them and all that.

so their s1 arc is like. caitlyn trying to gain vi's trust or whatever for a while (because she gains it really quick in s1 which i thought was weird considering vi hates cops and was in a piltover jail for almost a decade), and then she does eventually gain caitlyn's trust. however. they then find out that jinx was behind all this, and vi and jinx are sisters and vi sides with jinx (because she's her sister and also who cares if she stole from piltover yall been stealing EVERYTHING from us) and now caitlyn doesn't trust vi and vi goes back to hating her.

so then when jinx kills her mom, caitlyn is like prone to being a hater because her only experience with undercity people (vi and jinx) have been bad and she now assumes they're all bad and combined with her grieving and rage, she easily falls into ambessa's hands and goes on her dictator arc in s2. and then we get toxic caitvi yuri instead. because caitvi is the most interesting when it's toxic so there

((Long story short, I felt horribly disconnected from role-play and from the muses that I had, so I had to take a step back to allow myself to both heal and to allow these muses the time to grow back. To be honest, I didn't even know if they were going to come back.))

((I do think that, now it's been almost a year since the disconnect really happened, now is as good a time as any to come back. I've decided to resurrect Link, currently just Ocarina of Time Link, but others will follow in due course. This will be at a pace that I am comfortable with and feel able to approach the muses again.))

((There may be one Link that never comes back. I won't name which one, but they were really closely connected to someone I cared about, and it's probably going to take me a long time to come to terms with everything. (Again, please don't ask, I don't want to air things publicly.)))

nothing i can find says she had anything to do with the creation of the extension, beyond a couple of TERF websites with the same copy-paste article that say she “purportedly” created it. one of them was even locked behind a paywall, which i didn’t read, because fuck giving money to TERFs :)

see, despite not ever naming this mysterious ‘feminist org’, the article is very detailed about the life and times of laurelai bailey, but no where does it detail when she worked on shinigami-eyes. it does say she contributed code to TERF Tracker, but …

that’s not shinigami-eyes, nor does it seem to have any association with the extension.

seeing as this ask sent me on an hour-long wild goose chase only to come up with exactly no new information in regards to the creator of shinigami-eyes, i feel comfortable saying i’ve done my due diligence. the burden on proof was never on me in the first place.

if you’re being honest, great! please let me know and tell me where i can find the source of this information. as it stands, however, i am more inclined to believe you’re just parroting talking points trying to tie a genuinely shitty person to shinigami-eyes based on shady and circumstantial proof in an attempt to delegitimize the extension and its uses.

some places i recommend you look would be laurelai bailey’s blog - she mentioned having one on a twitter thread. if it’s deleted, make use of the wayback machine. or if you could track down the original “feminist org” that named laurelai bailey as the creator so i can check their evidence, that’d be genuinely super helpful.

EDIT 2: I almost forgot to mention, if you are unable to write/type your story, you can also narrate/dictate your story to your preferred recording device!

If you're doing a Recording only and it doesn't automatically generate a transcript, it would obviously be hard to judge the word count -- but you're also working with a lot of obstacles, so I'd say if you're able to complete your story via voice recording from start to finish, you've definitely achieved the goal!

real talk though… nara being described as kristen with money is making me go insane… part of what tracker talks about when she’s cursed in the nightmare forest (which I took as sort of a drunk words are sober thoughts logic) was that kristen relied so heavily on tracker and needed her so much to the point that tracker felt that she couldn’t have the same. and it’s not that kristen was unwilling or unwanting even to help, but that she had so much stuff going on that she literally couldn’t, and tracker, though she loved (loves?) kristen deeply also resented that. it makes perfect sense that tracker would gravitate to nara, who has the same impulsive quality that initially attracted tracker to kristen, but has the resources and support system that kristen doesn’t. bc not only does nara support tracker with galicaea stuff (and comes with perks of having wealth and influence and power) but nara has parents who she is seemingly in good terms with. where tracker had to fill a void of familial support in addition to romantic love for kristen, nara’s whole deal is… at least simpler? crazy subtle characterization with that one

i really want to see a modern day eddie with a truly ridiculous amount of weird tabletop things

a crazy amount of dice and he's got very specific sets for certain things and some special ones that nobody else is ever allowed to touch under pain of (character) death and a whole jar for dice jail.

he's got a very beat up old folding table that he's painstakingly painted black and drawn a grid onto in silver marker.

so many minis. so many. obscure ones too, he may never actually use half of them but he loves them. all of them are carefully painted but he's got some really old special ones that were his first few and even though they're not as 'nice' they have a special place on one of his bookshelves.

an initiative tracker that's a real actual dagger and every campaign everybody gets a magnet to decorate with their character's name

Stiles is a wildlife biologist and one day stumbles upon a wolf pack during a hike through the national forest he works for. They weren’t gray wolves so at first he figures another species has finally made its was back to california but after an hour or so of studying them from a far he realizes they aren’t typical wolves and appear to follow many of the theorized versions of dire wolves.

Thinking he might have discovered a new species and a possible descendant of dire wolves he stays for the rest of the day and studies them further. He only leaves when the sun starts to set and keeps coming back to study them. He grows rather attached to the pack, especially when a particularly curious wolf comes up and introduces itself and eventually drags him by his sleeve over to meet the rest of the pack. He talks to them, tells them about how important they are and how lucky he is to be the one to have found them.

He keeps trying to publish his findings but no one else seems to be able to find them and whenever he brings a photographer out they’re always hiding. One day he brings his own camera, thinking the wolves are used to him and just scared of everyone else and he finds one of the pack dead. He doesn’t take a picture of course, feels it would be disrespectful to the creatures that so readily welcomed him. Instead he goes back to his jeep grabs a shovel and a knife before coming back to dig the poor thing a proper grave and putting down a marker with a big rock and doing his best to add an engraving. While placing the wolf in its grave he notices bullet wounds and cuts on the body and figures out someone had killed one of HIS wolves.

The next week he spends looking for a tracker that can help him find who hurt his pack -figures if they went after one they might have been going after the others too and are still possibly camped out somewhere. That leads him to Derek who agrees oddly quick considering Stiles can’t offer him much in the way of payment.

Day one Stiles leads Derek to the grave and where he found the wolf. The man does his tracker thing and starts leading them even deeper into the forest. It takes a couple of days before they find the hunter’s now deserted camp that has some bullets and gear left behind, even a gun. Derek seems even angrier than Stiles that they had only missed them by a day or so given the remains of a campfire. They stay there for the night before moving on first thing in the morning. Takes another few days before they find an active campsite with several hunters.

They try to lay low but at some point Derek loses his cool and gets them caught and subsequently captured (he had heard them talking about the pack mate they killed, not that Stiles knows that). The hunters tie them up and do their typical hunter thing which is how Stiles not only finds out about werewolves but that the dire wolf descendants he thought he discovered were really the pack fully shifted.

Anyway turns out the pack had been following their entire journey from a far and the night after Stiles and Derek are captured they attack the hunters camp. Both Stiles and Derek are seriously injured but Stiles being human is the more pressing issue. Stiles wakes up like days later in a super fancy house next to a wall of heat. The wolf that had introduced him to the pack initially which is, of course, Derek. The man had refused to leave his side since they left the camp. And once everyone is sure Stiles is alive and mostly well the pack introduce themselves as humans.

Then happily ever after and all that jazz.
