is the bungieteam tumblr actually official?? i assumed it was fan run since it’s not linked anywhere on their website or other official social media accounts

If they aren’t official, they do an insanely good job at hosting Bungie’s content for them. In fact, so insanely good and well-timed that for a long while now, I’ve not seen any indication that they’re fan-run. The whole blog is dedicated to posting everything Bungie posts on other sites like twitter, often within seconds to minutes of it appearing on other sites. They don’t seem to have a great idea of how to run a blog on tumblr - they don’t answer asks, check submissions, or even tag very effectively. A fan-run blog usually does all of this because they want more engagement and is familiar enough with the platform that they know how to do so in a way that benefits their blog. A fan-run blog also doesn’t always have the wherewithal to post as consistently as a corporate account does - their posts that are off by seconds/minutes would then be off by days/weeks whenever there’s a hitch in the singular blog-runner’s life. Unless it’s a bot just copy-pasting what their twitter posts, I’d be genuinely surprised if it were fan-run.

Even if they aren’t official, though, they’re a damn good way to stay up to date since they post literally everything their twitter does.
