BEATRIX "B2" / "BEE" LORE COMPILATION
(click Keep Reading)
"B2 is an android whose core is made off the fragments left by a comet that returns every 6 years. The nucleus of said comet contains a new and extremely rare element with interchangeable properties, capable of absorbing a star's radiation through its layers of matter/shell.
Every time the comet orbits very closely to a star, it will keep its radiation "trapped" within the nucleus. The radiation is only released when the element finds another (not charged) piece of itself.
Imagine a large nucleus, capable of absorbing high amounts of energy, transferring its radiation to a much smaller fragment of the same element. That is where B2 gets her energy from."
"One subjective interpretation of it would say B2 is more "related" to a comet than to robots or humans.
Essentially, B2's look is based off a human's appearance, and she was designed to annihilate her kind. She frees herself from that directive, and becomes a rebellious sort of android. She wanders around a world that views her as a threat, and although she meets people that welcome her into their lives, they generally treat her as either an emotionless machine or as someone else's ghost.
The daughter of a comet remains unseen, torn between humankind and robotkind."
"An important but also saddening aspect about B2's lore, is that she's directly influenced by the orbit of the comet her core is made off.
This means she "sleeps" for three years, before "waking up" for another three.
It would be very interesting if, instead of recharging through proximity, the comet actually takes power away the closer it is to her. So, during the three years gap she's "asleep", Holloway's Comet can be seen on a clear night sky — as if Bee is looking out for her friends from above."
Hunter nicknamed B2 "Bee" — According to him:
“B2 is searching for people in need of extra help on a daily basis. She’s like a worker bee‚ flying from flower to flower. It’s amusing.”
“One minute she’s carrying two heavy fruit baskets for the seller. You turn around and she’s 3ft above the ground helping the engineers”
“At night‚ she simply collapses. She curls up and rests over the fabric of her own dress. It reminds me of bees sleeping in flowers…”
"Bee is strong enough to lift up a truck with her bare hands (if only her body could handle the weight and pressure), and her strength is amplified while she’s wearing her battle armor. However, she might become weaker the closer Holloway’s Comet is to her, until she eventually enters “Resting mode”, which is a dangerous disadvantage."
"Beatrix is a name given to this android by Camille, the technician who tested her programming. During the early weeks after activation, Beatrix showed no signs of a wider range of emotions other than hostility. She never spoke to Camille, until the word "Home" was mentioned.
Since then, Beatrix began searching for this familiar place or building, often running away from the lab she was made in to find answers."
B2 does not recall her memories from before the war between Fusionsprunt and Bortom cities in the year 4035, meaning she does not recognize herself as "Beatrix".
"For some reason, Beatrix forgot all of her memories after the war.
She woke up knowing one thing, however:
She was positioned on the front line. Team B, row 2."
"B2's appearance at the end of Season 3"
"B2's Battle Armor"
"B2's lotus dress, which she wears on special occasions"
"B2's skirt absorbs heat without catching on fire"
"B2 enjoys receiving flowers and bouquets"

Penacony: Land of Dreams, Exiles, and Choices
****Honkai star rail/HSR 2.2/TRAILBLAZE MISSION/PENACONY SPOILERS AHEAD****
There is A LOT going on in this story & I don’t know if I can call this a continuation of my previous HSR lore thread regarding Ena, HooH, and Xipe but I am pretty much expanding on Ena & Xipe in 2.2 while also talking about important concepts present in the story
It’s hard to really know where to begin when there’s a lot going on especially between Ena & Xipe or rather, between their factions/followers
We can start with a general idea of the situation: it’s established that Xipe the Harmony absorbed Ena the Order a long time ago, the Family is a faction of Xipe but it seems very disoriented overall because not everybody knows the truth behind Penacony and/or is involved with the schemes (the Oak Family was the one mostly involved, others seemed oblivious to what was going on)
Sunday who should have been a follower of Xipe alongside Robin ended up being a follower of Ena because he was pessimistic about the Harmony due to situations like the 3 stories he presented as questions to us (Charmony Dove, stowaway who sold everything he had including his children to come to Penacony, Robin getting hurt in an accident) & as a result, he sought control over the fates of others so that everybody would only get happy endings
*Initially I wasn’t going to say this in my other thread because I wasn’t sure if I was reaching by comparing a character to an Aeon but this quest made it much more prominent to see: Sunday’s desire for control was something that I wanted to bring up previously because Herta stating how she doesn’t like Ena’s control freak behavior in their simulated universe dev log made it hard to ignore Sunday’s own issues in the previous patch; it just set off alarms in my head that he might not actually have been following Harmony*
The way Sunday explained he would achieve his goal is that he wouldn’t resurrect Ena but instead he would have people never experience hardships through Order which I guess he could have achieved from memoria (manifestations of memories & emotions) & the Stellaron since Ena isn’t physically around to enforce Order
The reason why we see aspects of Ena present at all in the story is due to their remnants; as I suggested in my other thread, Aeons can die or disappear but their paths & concepts don’t disappear easily so to clarify, Ena isn’t alive at any point of the story but we see many hints of them in the story despite being gone
For example, the area where we answer Sunday’s 3 questions has the notable open eye on the ground; the many puppets we begin to see as we go through the Penacony Grand Theater refer to Ena’s puppet appearance; note that when you try to use clockwork but are unable to change the emotions during this part of the story, on top of looking very…unsettling, Clockie gains the same eye colors as Ena’s open eye while having puppet strings attached which references their puppet strings
Boss Sunday in the 3rd phase has eyes on the rings behind him, the faces in all phases look very similar to Ena’s white porcelain face with closed eyes, the hand that comes out for the Michelangelo’s God & Adam attack looks very similar to Ena’s puppet hands but it doesn’t have the puppet joints & the thumb is purple when Ena’s hands were white with golden joints
As it is explained by the data bank, the Septimus boss is supposed to be Dominicus who is one of the Harmonic Choir (Emanators of Xipe) but due to Ena’s influence, his appearance changed; in other words, Sunday usurped their powers originally for Harmony & turned them to serve Order
I find it really intriguing how much impact Ena had in this story despite being gone (keep in mind that Ena never enforced their concept onto anybody including Sunday & Gopher Wood, these characters saw a concept that they believed in & twisted their understanding of it for their own purposes; this also goes for Sunday’s freak control behavior which was all him & not Ena even though Herta claimed they had similar behavior)
Meanwhile one of the biggest moments we witness regarding Xipe is when the Trailblazer gains the path of Harmony
There are two main details I want to point out; first is their eyes are actually open when normally their eyes are closed & the second is they are glowing very brightly which, by themselves might not mean much, but together they say a lot when we look at other Aeons
Nanook is the first to gaze upon us & acknowledge us then it was Qlipoth; in both cases some part of their forms glowed brighter than the rest of their bodies when they gazed upon us which seemed to be their eyes/head
*Sidenote: interestingly something similar happens in Swarm Disaster and Gold & Gears
When you complete everything that you need to get the paths of Propagation & Erudition respectfully (which implies that the simulated versions of Tayzzyronth & Nous have noticed & acknowledged you), the actual art of the Aeons will change; the main difference is that they glow brighter whether it be their “eye(s)”, their entire being, certain parts, etc.*
Going back to the cutscene with Xipe, it seems that opening their eyes was a sign of noticing & acknowledging us
There’s one particular line from Sunday regarding the Aeons that stood out to me which was “And through Harmony, we obtain Order” which is interesting because the same can be said of the opposite “Through Order, we obtain Harmony”
What Sunday did was try to impose Order to force happy endings for everybody but that is simply not how life works because there’s always going to be pain; if you never experience pain or suffering then do you really know the world as it is & are you truly living? Yes it would be wonderful if everybody could get along & nobody ever had to suffer, but unfortunately that is not feasible forever
It’s the reason why balance is needed; when you face suffering, it makes all the good things that happen in your life feel much better; it’s not good to have only one or the other & that’s the point regarding Ena & Xipe
Even though Xipe absorbed Ena, their two concepts are very much intertwined & they both can’t really exist without the other; Order has been there all along, just without an Aeon for some time
Also keep in mind that Order & Harmony are both forms of balance which I mentioned in my other thread; to reiterate, Harmony is the fusion/unity of many into one while Order refers to the idea of specific arrangement (under Ena, civilizations rose & fell which established a cycle to follow; they created laws that the universe followed) but Sunday takes it to the extreme which is complete control without considering how others would truly feel about this plan of his
Before I continue, I just want to say that I liked how Sunday was characterized as an antagonist because you can tell he does truly care about other people (why would he go so far to obtain happy endings for everybody when he might not even like or know them?)
We know he cares about Robin very much despite how misguided he was in taking away her voice but as we saw, he was desperate to protect her which we see in his reaction after hearing she suffered a neck injury & when he thought that Gallagher actually killed her; these two instances explain his desire for control so well since he was powerless in both cases
He definitely was wrong about how he went about things but he loves humanity enough to go so far
Moving onto concepts, when we look at the overall story of Penacony so far, we see that dreams are an important concept; after all, it is the planet where people come to experience beautiful dreams but what makes these dreams unique is that everybody has a shared dream once they enter the Dreamscape & there are 12 distinct dream worlds in total that guests can choose to visit (each one representing a moment on the clock)
However not many guests on Penacony either know about or would come to Dreamflux Reef which was introduced this patch; when compared to the more well-known Dreamscapes, Dreamflux looks more somber & there are less people living there but it still has a few establishments so it is not entirely devoid of life
It is referred to as the Land of Exiles & to enter this area, with the exception of the teleport waypoints that we use, you usually would have to get brought by Something Unto Death whose real name is Dormancy & its affectionate nickname is Sleepie; in other words, Dormancy is the guardian of the Land of Exiles as explained by Firefly
![Tumblr media](https://64.media.tumblr.com/86ed080735634d17cbc2dc65b13292f8/e777bac9ef191a04-14/s540x810/1d41baf681183a5388b7a1d851a8e8105c59a368.jpg)
The description of Dreamflux Reef from the Family is that it’s the “Nightmare” but it’s also how the Dreamscape is supposed to look
When looking at both this dream world & the other more popular ones like Golden Hour, they appear to represent aspects of life, specifically escapism (Golden Hour & the more beautiful dreamscapes) & reality (Dreamflux Reef)
Golden Hour is designed to be like amusement parks like the ones in Orlando with a mix of casinos like in Vegas; we can see why Penacony is so popular
On top of the fun tourism aspect, while you’re in the Dreamscape, your physical body doesn’t experience many of the changes you go through inside your dreams so you could stay in the Dreamscape as long as you want (as long as you can afford a room...)
Meanwhile Dreamflux Reef is representative of the non-glamorous things in life which can encapsulate struggles, pain, sadness, etc. Its other name “Land of Exiles” is also a nod to Penacony’s darker history as a former prison planet
However Dreamflux does have its lively moments which bodes well because it means that reality isn’t completely bad, it just might not be as fully glamorous or great like how the other dreamscapes are depicted
This topic of reality vs dream is constantly brought up with Sunday whose main struggle involves wanting to provide only happy endings even if that goes against reality or what should be; in fact we face the topic at the start when we meet Acheron & she asks us questions which she repeated along with much of the dialogue after the questions at the end right before we fight Sunday for a 2nd time at the exit of the nihility realm(?)
EDIT: Tumblr wouldn't let me post more than 30 photos so there are some missing in this portion & later towards the end and I didn't want to post photos while leaving out the others that would give more context; head to the Twitter link if you would like to see the thread in its entirety https://twitter.com/SBParty_Ryusa/status/1789763474546905198
Interestingly even as an Emanator of Nihility, Acheron still sounds hopeful; in fact she reminds me of the Doctors of Chaos (a faction of Nihility) who have been faced with IX’s display of hopelessness but these members still try to prove to IX that life isn’t all that meaningless
Another interesting thing I noticed is that Acheron is the opposite of Sunday when it comes to facing hopelessness: even when faced with the idea that everything will return to nothingness, she still moves forward but Sunday turns away from the pain of reality & relies on sweet dreams that don’t truly change your circumstances in the real world
So I’ve mentioned Penacony being both the Land of Dreams & Exiles but how do “choices” come into play? Something that I’ve seen become a huge part of Penacony’s plot is the concept of choice
Aside from Acheron’s questions, we’ve seen other displays of choice being an important concept; for instance, Sunday’s plan to obtain happy endings for everybody essentially takes away the ability to choose (yes everybody gets to be happy but it’s not happiness obtained by their hands/doing)
Robin had her voice taken away by Sunday even though she wanted to continue on her path of Harmony; Sunday’s plans only would have made him happy in the end
One of the saddest parts about this is that we do see an example of somebody who was not happy with their enforced dream despite how blissful it was for them: Robin herself
We along with Acheron & Black Swan found Robin who was actually the first to wake up and she guided Acheron & Black Swan
She explained that she was able to wake up due to the major flaw in her dream which was Sunday agreeing to not cage the Charmony Dove after it got better; while it would have made her happy that he agreed with her, she also knew that her brother wasn’t like that & her painful reality still would have been the same even if she chose to ignore the discrepancy because it already happened in the past
Of course everybody is different & may make different choices from each other; you can choose to wake up or keep living in a dream (in both cases you still have to deal with the consequences whether that be coming back to reality or becoming afraid to wake up) but the important part is that everybody gets to make their choices themselves without interference
This is Acheron’s main point when she says that the answers don’t matter because you’ve made a choice & you’ll hopefully go through with your decision
I do need to talk about the Nameless not only because a lot of backstory was given in this quest than any previous ones but also because as part of the Trailblaze, choices are definitely one of the biggest concepts for this path
The Nameless is an important faction that has followed the deceased Akivili even to this day; this group includes many curious & brave characters, both playable & NPCs including the Astral Express Crew
As part of the Trailblaze, the Nameless have faced unknown futures & dangers but ultimately made the choice to move forward into the unknown; this path is definitely not easy & it is bound to be filled with struggles & pain but for many of the Nameless, they’ve all blazed their own paths no matter where they were or where those paths led them even if it meant their end
The new Clockie event has a free lightcone reward that shows Pom-Pom with Mikhail, Tiernan, and Razalina back when they were still on the Astral Express & after the trio left; this is a bittersweet memory for Pom-Pom because I’m sure they’re happy that they left to follow their hearts but it’s still sad for them because the LC mentions many previous Nameless having left the Astral Express as well (I definitely didn’t tear up reading this LC 🙃)
Even for Pom-Pom, as part of the Astral Express, they have been through a lot with many of the Nameless departing to follow their hearts & yet they still choose to remain the conductor even to this day
That takes a lot of dedication & it just reminds me of Acheron’s question “Might I ask if you fear losing these bonds?” because that definitely applies to their situation considering they’ve been around for a long time; I’m sure Pom-Pom misses them very much 😢
*This might be one of the longest threads I’ve written so far but considering how much was going on in the quest, I think I yapped an appropriate amount 😂
*I know not everybody enjoys reading extremely long text but I hope that there are at least a few who will enjoy it
*Also I didn’t know what to title this, I’m not creative enough 😭
*This quest just gave me a lot to think about, there were good parts & iffy parts for me but I did enjoy the story overall; I hope that others were/are able to enjoy it even with how long it took :3

Random Mario headcanon: while Peach does have powerful magic, she actually doesn’t know how to use it, at least not by herself. Basically to use her magic she needs to trigger a “spark” of sorts, but has no idea how to do so and as a result can’t use it unless someone else triggers that spark for her.
Explaining how it works in the games’ canon and giving some more details on my Toadstool magic hcs (spoilers for pretty much all the RPGs + Showtime’s ending; 1k words below):
- In Paper Mario 64, Kammy calls Peach’s action “wishes from normal people”, meaning she’s not using any particular magic.
- In Thousand Years Door, she uses healing magic upon regaining some control from the Shadow Queen. Considering the Shadow Queen is using magic, possibly Peach’s magic, it means Peach could have been able to access it in the moment.
- In Mario and Luigi Partners in Time, the Cobalt Star could have been the one with the magic to imprison Elder Princess Shroob, or it triggered Peach’s magic. Though the fact Peach can summon stars at the end kinda shows she can use magic on her own.
- In Bowser’s Inside Story and Dream Team, Peach only uses magic when Starlow is using her own magic as well, meaning Starlow could be the one triggering hers.
- Ok I’ll be honest I can’t explain it for Super Mario RPG other than “she’s not actually using magic” or “Geno is a spirit of the stars so his presence would unlock her powers”, though in that second case it doesn’t even fully work since the whole point of the team looking for stars is that wishes can’t be granted anymore.
- In Showtime, Peach’s magic ribbon comes from Stella, same for the outfits. Her Radiant transformation also comes from the hopes and dreams of the Theets fused with Sparkles and Stella. I could also see Stella triggering Peach’s magic in the case of the ribbon + Radiant.
- In Super Princess Peach, you could imagine that the Vibe Scepter is basically letting out “particles” of emotions in the air, and when one touches someone, it affects them. For Peach, her magic would protect her by absorbing those particles, but it also causes her magic to accumulate them.
Because of that, whenever she feels a strong emotion, all those particles her magic gathered get released at once, thus giving her those powers. So the powers wouldn’t come from her using her magic willingly, instead her magic does its own thing and she has to realize it and work around it.
As a result, she can control when the powers get triggered by keeping calm as much as possible and thinking of happy/sad/angering things when needed (or other methods like pinching herself to cry or asking Perry to insult her to get angry, dumb funny things like that).
This could also explain why there’s a timer that then needs to be refilled when using emotions or even why emotional enemies don’t get powers like she does but instead just move faster or in a different pattern, as they would have less emotions in them since the first particle that touches them would influence them.
- In case it needs to be said, everyone in the sports games have special abilities so I don’t consider those to be her using magic.
So yeah, while there are obviously instances of her using healing magic that negates this idea, it still holds up to an extent. And it’s especially interesting to headcanon when you consider how many RPG villains know how to exploit her magic for themselves (Cackletta, Fawful, the Shadow Queen, Antasma tried before turning to Bowser, I like to think the Chaos Heart was born from an exchange of two widely different magics with the wedding being the ritual needed to create the heart specifically).
Going deeper into this idea, I hc that in the past all Toads had magic but the Royal Family eventually discouraged everyone from using it aside from them. History books would say it’s to protect the population, the truth is that the Monarchy wanted that power for themselves and/or were afraid of the people taking over the throne if they can be more powerful than them (especially since I hc that it’s common for rulers to marry citizens, as long as said citizen is able to handle the work that goes with becoming royalty; this is also why each kingdom still has a ruler the same species as them after centuries of those kingdoms existing).
There would still be some Toads who kept their magic (like the doctor from Bowser’s Inside Story) but they would be incredibly rare on top of trying to keep it a secret just in case them having it is forbidden as there would be no written law saying what is and isn’t allowed on that front.
As such, the knowledge of how to use these powers is told from parent to child, with sometimes another person being given the info in case the rulers die before their heir is of age to learn. In Peach’s case, her parents’ death was a complete surprise, meaning no-one had that knowledge.
So for the longest time, she didn’t even think she had magic. And when the RPGs happened, she would’ve tried to use it herself but can’t find the thing triggering its use, taking a while to come to terms with the fact that she could never use it by herself, but that doesn’t mean she can’t be a hero in a different way.
And for those asking why doesn’t she use a Koopa wand, this goes into this idea of the Chaos Heart being born from mixing Koopa and Toadstool magic. She’s afraid that trying to learn the Koopa ways of using magic might cause another catastrophe, which it probably would.
Last small thing, outside of angst the main reason for this headcanon is to justify both Peach never using magic outside of RPGs and the fact she goes from being able to yeet Bowser out the window in one game to being completely helpless against two paratroopas holding her in the very next game of the same series. Basically it’s to explain the inconsistencies with it.
It can also justify the Mushroom Kingdom not falling into the hands of Koopas, Goombas etc before Mario and Luigi were around despite Toads being unable to defend themselves in the present time (basically the Toadstool family was able to use their magic to boost the strength of their army, which Peach can’t do).
#Super Mario#Princess Peach#Flor talks#long post#this has been sitting in my folders for a while but I wanted to play Mario RPG first to have something to say about it#I also have a spm WIP with a long beginning all about how much the events of the RPGs are affecting Peach's mental state#and how her inability to use magic coupled with all those villains capturing her for it take a huge toll on her#(god I need to edit and post my Mario fics already some of those have been sitting in my folders for almost a year now)#yes I know technically Peach could ask one of the Toads who still have their magic to teach her#but I like the idea of her having this power that's unreachable outside of specific conditions

Oh speaking of which! I’m back with more RE character stands! :] This time… the Redfield Duo and Leon’s handsome boyfriend!
Stand Name: 99 Red Balloons (99 Luftballons by Nena)
Stand Type: Colony of 99 dolls and action figures of any kind (That’s intentional)
Stand User: Claire Redfield
Stats:
Power: C
Speed: B
Range: A
Durability: D
Precision:B
Potential: C
Ability: The user can create balloons and inflate them, then give these balloons to her stand to bring them to a target. The user can create only 99 balloons per doll. These balloons can have different effects the user places upon being popped, the balloons can heal wounds physical or mental, bring joy, energize, or sadden, cause drowsiness, cause dizziness etc. The stand, while lacking in offensive capability, makes it up in range. It's an excellent scouter and can relay information to the user and their allies. However, the stand can be caught by opponents and will accidentally relay the information to them.
————
Stand Name: Wayward Son (Carry on Wayward Son by Kansas)
Stand Type: Humanoid Stand, Close-Range
Stand User: Chris Redfield
Stats:
Power: A
Speed: C
Range: C
Durability: A
Precision:B
Potential:B
Ability: Wayward Son’s Ability is to absorb heat from the environment and store it within itself, once the user wishes to release the heat, the stand can pop four of its arms off from its body and punch something to release the energy into an explosion. How large the explosion is depends on how hard the stand will punch something or someone. The user can also touch and leave an explosive charge on the enemy, this shows up as a symbol on the person. The symbol serves as a timer and lasts for 1 hour, but gets shortened into 30 minutes in the sunlight or any light source.
————
Stand Name: Rise Against (The band Rise Against)
Stand Type: Colony stand, long range, made up of multiple crimson scorpions can come together to become a natural humanoid with a large stinger tail.
Stand User: Alexander “Buddy” Kozanchenko
Stats (Colony):
Power: C
Speed: A
Range: A
Durability: B
Precision:C
Potential:D
Ability:
(Colony form)
Ability: In its colony form, Rise Against’s stings are able to mind control living beings. This works very effectively on creatures that lack intelligence, more intelligent beings are less likely to be controlled. At most the stand can just influence their thoughts to disorient them mildly. The effect is instantaneous upon being stung.
(Humanoid form)
Stats:
Power: A
Speed: B
Range: C
Durability: B
Precision:B
Potential: D
Ability: Rise Against now has a large amount of venom inside bulbs that are on its back, The stand’s stings can effectively decay anything once struck, from inorganic to organic beings. The corrosion of objects or people depends on the amount of venom struck on the object, the more the venom, the quicker the object will decay. Once the corrosion is done, there will be nothing left of the object or being that was stung. Rise Against can end up running out of venom though, and will need time to replenish the venom.
Ability 2: Rise Against can pull out the bulbs on its back, and throw it to release a gas that stuns and paralyzes anything that breathes it. However, once it does so, it won’t be able to use its corrosion ability till the bulbs grow back. The bulbs require 30 minutes to be regenerated.
WAHUUUUUUU THE KING HAS RETURNED!! LOVE READIN YOUR IDEAS MAN :DDD God these are all so good and it fits them. Love how Chris is still a powerhouse like that dude is packing heat (ba dum tss) Reminds me so much of part 3 stand users and Claire has like part 4 vibes and she has plenty of possibilities for her ability. And oh my god I am so glad you picked Rise Against for Sasha. I am currently picturing his stand eyecatch while Prayer of the Refugee is playing in my head, scorpions bunched up together to form a humanoid like Highway Star! Clever use of insect motifs that allude to the plagas. Gotta be my favorite one here totally not bc Sasha is my precious angery tall bb girl ahahaha Fr these are so creative and it puts a smile on my face :]

Fun Facts
Alora doesn't actually know who her biological father is, which isn't unusual for witches when it comes to having one human parent
Her memories of her past and family are rather fuzzy and she can't actually recall the events of their deaths at all. This is due to Aeon's influence.
She loves making sweets. She pours a bit of magic into them so whoever eats them will start feeling better
Her instant motherly/sisterly nature towards those she meets may be linked to the trauma with her family and childhood
She gets extremely nervous around large groups of people and crowds, especially if they have weapons
Weary of fire. Candles and lanterns are fine but torches make her nervous and bonfires are an absolute NO
Alora and Atsuo were the ones who took care of their younger siblings. Their mother was practically useless so it was up to her oldest kids to care for their siblings. Alora has a lot of resentment towards her for this when any try to bring up her mother
Alora loves doing hair and braids. She does Akari's often and it's a big way for them to bond. They also decorate each others' hair and braids with jewelry and trinkets. This is a common witch tradition.
While Alora is typically shy, quiet, and gentle natured, she will absolutely NOT take any disrespect towards anyone she cares for
She can be absolutley terrifying when angry. She will loom and stare down any who anger her. Even the demons she befriends know to steer clear when shes in a bad mood
Will blow air like an equine and snarl like the spirits she's grown up with
Does kind things on a whim and doesn't really think about any sort of reward or gratitude. In fact she gets quite startled when someone tries to thank her or repay her kindness.
History
Alora has spent the better part of her life (from what she recalls) living in the forest surrounding the Swordsmith Villiage under the care and protection of her father, the forest spirit known as Aeon. She's cherished by the old being as she is his only daughter amongst his dozens of sons.
She's been kind and friendly with the children of the village over the years, often playing with them and telling stories or keeping watch over them as they played in the forest. Once they grow up though, she becomes more distant and rarely seen once they're adults. The swordsmiths understand though and even built her a shrine where they leave gifts and trinkets for her.
Alora wasn't seen for a time for unknown reasons, but returned within a year. None of the villagers knew what was going on until some months later when their kids started taking rather odd things to her shrine as offerings. Little toys, fabric, blankets, and other odds and ends.
Things were confirmed when one of the villagers saw her taking a late evening stroll with a little bundle in her arms. Needless to say the villagers held a little celebration in honor of the first child of the kind Spirit Witch. None know who the father is but it doesn't seem to matter to her so it doesn't matter to them. (hint it is one of the Swordsmiths)
First time parenting was rough for Alora despite the help she had from her brothers and Aeon, which isn't much help since they're four legged equine spirits and can't physically care for or hold a baby. She eventually did ask one of the elder swordsmiths for advice and he was more than happy to take her and little Akari under his care. They spent much time with the old man and a few other trusted smiths until Akari was was 4 and her powers awakened.
She was able to be more independent and care for herself so the two disappeared into the forest again. Akari was more bold than her mother and would come into the village every-so-often to visit the old man who cared for her and check out the other swordsmiths and kids.
Alora and Akari disappeared again though this time Akari told the old man that she'd convinced her mother to go out and explore the country a bit. They'd be back eventually.
Roughly two years later Alora meets Tanjiro and Nezuko…..

OK, so there's this subplot to my story that I think I can make work, but which would be very easy to fail spectacularly on. I wanna ask you fine people because reddit and my writing discord would get all weird and huffy about it.
So, four relevant characters here. Two (Dale and Rachel) are henchmen of the main villain. Two (Ryan and Shanti) are classmates of my high school-age protagonists. "Dale" is really a wad of consciousness-hosting Blackmire (evil magic sludge) who's been hopping bodies for a decade, possessing and controlling a Florida sheriff. That guy dies in a metaphorical suicide bombing, now Dale's just sludge again. The heroes have the sludge and are experimenting on it--they've never seen anything like it before and don't know how it works. Rachel, meanwhile, is a disgraced actress in her 50s who's been the big bad's milfy honeypot and double agent for the same length of time. She is still fully human; her goal is to let that Blackmire infect her and absorb her consciousness, kill herself, which sets the Blackmire free to take a new host, and have that host be an attractive young woman so she can relive her youth. She's been doing the big bad's work on the promise of a new body and is tired of waiting for it. Shanti is an ex-girlfriend of one of the secondary characters, who used to be on the main hero squad but used her powers to mentally destroy a few classmates, and got kicked off the squad and her own memory of the situation wiped. Because she has a mental block on remembering or understanding magic now, the bad guys are using her as a spy and she doesn't even remember reporting back to them: she only remembers her past when someone else brings it up first. Finally, Ryan is a rich jock (baseball team's star pitcher) with a lawyer dad who thinks (correctly) that Florentino is neck-deep in shady shit and is always nipping at his heels. Ryan is also buying steroids from the bad guys, steroids which are laced with, you guessed it, evil magic sludge. So: Tabby and Shanti throw a party at Florentino's mansion while he's gone all week, on the grounds that they're heroes and they deserve it. Also, so Shanti, under malign influence, can steal a certain artifact for the villains' plans and hand it to Rachel, who plans to do the body-hop right after. Once the villains figure out that Dale is being held there, they decide to bust him out too and use Ryan as his new host. Through some complicated series of mishaps, the Dale-sludge winds up in Shanti's body and the Rachel-sludge is in Ryan's. Both of them are absolutely horrified and disgusted by this situation. Rachel's a shoe-loving wine aunt suddenly forced to pose as a male jock who's supposed to captain another championship season, while the original Dale was a white supremacist of some sort and has refused to possess anyone not white, straight, and male, finds himself in the body of a South Asian teenage girl. Wacky! Did I mention that Blackmire can't leave a host body without killing it? The gag, so to speak, is that it could have been a 'villain says trans rights!' moment, probably will be if this thing ever gets published and accumulates a fandom, but both Dale and Rachel feel like they're in hell. They very pointedly learn nothing about themselves or anyone else and are both grateful to find some loophole that lets them switch back. Or maybe not. Maybe Rachel comes to enjoy being a 6'4" jock with a big pile of money and Dale has to beg her to switch back. It's supposed to be funny, if not wholesome, and let's be real to scratch my fetishy itches a little bit in an otherwise chaste narrative.
Anyway, this is the Trans Headcanon website, so I'm open to suggestions.

𝐓𝐀𝐒𝐊 𝟎𝟕: 𝐎𝐅 𝐆𝐎𝐃𝐒 & 𝐌𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒
# 𝙸𝙼𝙿𝙾𝚁𝚃𝙰𝙽𝚃 𝚃𝚁𝙸𝙶𝙶𝙴𝚁 𝚆𝙰𝚁𝙽𝙸𝙽𝙶𝚂. violence / gore, jealousy and manipulation, emotional and psychological manipulation, supernatural horror, body horror, drug use, narcissism, sociopathy, death & suicide,
star sign: aries
at their core, aries do things their own way. they are unafraid of conflict, highly competitive, and honest. they throw themselves at the world eagerly and without fear. aries are driven by a desire to prove themselves and their strength. they have high energy, and are competitive and ambitious. they naturally take charge because they are good at initiating new projects. they can also be impatient, but are naturally active and don’t like to waste time.
mythological creature: anansi
a folktale character associated with stories, wisdom, knowledge, and trickery, most commonly depicted as a spider. anansi is best known for his ability to outsmart and triumph over more powerful opponents through his use of cunning, creativity and wit
folktale: ol' hige
this myth features a witch who sheds her skin and at night, she flies around in the form of an owl. she sucks peoples’ breath as they sleep, and she is considered dangerous to babies especially. her habit of shedding leaves her vulnerable, and if you find her skin, you just need to put salt and pepper on it and she will be unable to put it back on as it will burn her. without her skin, the ol’ hige can be killed.
fairytale character (classical or modern): tomie
tomie acts like a succubus, possessing an undisclosed power to make any man fall in love with her. through her mere presence, or through psychological and emotional manipulation, she drives these people into jealous rages that often lead to brutal acts of violence. men kill each other over her, and women are driven to insanity as well—though there are some who are strong enough to resist her. tomie is inevitably killed time and time again, only to regenerate and spread her curse to other victims, making her effectively immortal. her origins are never explained, though it is suggested by some older men in the series that she has existed long before the events of the manga.
3 fictional tropes: alpha bitch, narcissist, the sociopath
alpha bitch - she's usually the scion of a wealthy and influential family, the star of the school or head sister of the influential college sorority house, thus providing her a network of local celebrity, influence, and wealth to exploit. narcissist - this character is self-absorbed to the point that they consistently prioritize their own desires at others' expense. due to their grandiose sense of entitlement, narcissists have little (if any) qualms with disregarding others' needs and personal boundaries to further their goals. if they do take someone else's needs and desires into consideration, then it is likely an opportunity to grandstand for attention by congratulating themselves for their sheer magnanimity, or, worse, as a bargaining chip or to have something to hold over the other person in the future. the sociopath - the sociopath is a character with a marked lack of empathy, a self-centered disposition, a disregard for social norms and ethics, a propensity for using charm, lies, manipulation or outright violence to get his way, a reckless and impulsive streak, and a heart black as pitch. they show no remorse and can describe gruesome events in a nonchalant manner that many find creepy.
romantic or platonic trope: i love you because i can't control you, am i just a toy to you?
i love you because i can't control you - a person who, by intense charisma, magic, science, or mundane methods of seduction, is able to make everyone throw themselves at their feet; absolutely anyone they want. then they find a true challenge when they meet another character who, for whatever reason, is immune to their charms. in other words, this person has the power to choose the seducer of their own free will, and love them for who they are on the inside. am i just a toy to you? - a situation common in works that aren't bound by no hugging, no kissing standards. x is being flirted with by y in such a manner that it's unambiguously clear that they have an interest in them. this interest can range from playful teasing to kissing or even going all the way.
creepypasta story: what happens when we aren't looking?
i still don't know if it was because i was in shock, or because it had no voice, but i could hear nothing coming from the mirror. it started raising its arm, looking like it was reaching out to me. i looked down and saw my arm was in the air, too. it was controlling me! as it took a step closer to the mirror, so did i. thank the lord for my parents having other children, because my older brother had come into my room, asking why didn't i accept his game invite.
greek god or goddess: nemesis
the god of vengeance, nemesis, saw narcissus’s heartless disdain for people who cared for him. he took him to a pool where he could see his reflection in order to exact punishment. deeply in love with it, narcissus didn’t realize it was only a picture. he was overcome with hopelessness as he realized the reality and realized his love would never be returned. he killed himself as a result of this knowledge, and according to mythology, the narcissus flower — a representation of his preoccupation with himself — sprang from the spot where he died.
time of day where they draw the most energy: 3 am
their achilles heel: the ghost of monique jackson
medieval weapon of choice: arsenic
survival, starvation, or death by the undead in the apocalypse: survival
which of the seven sins represent them? horseman of the apocalypse?: greed, death
what their superpower would be: regeneration ( regenerative healing factor or immortality )
could they pull excalibur from the stone?: no
one aesthetic for each of the five senses (taste, hearing, sight, smell, touch):
taste - the taste of ashes and consuming something burnt and lifeless. hearing - the giggle at a funeral as it echoes in silence. sight - mirrors reflecting not just the viewer but distorted, grotesque versions of them, hinting at something sinister lurking within. smell - iron-rich blood and overly sweet, cloying perfume, creating a nauseating blend. touch - the velvet skin of a peach pressed against her lips
a bad habit that won’t go away: drug use
a recurring nightmare: seeing monique in the mirroir reflection, reaching out to strangle her
an object they consider their lucky charm: heavy cross pendent with a secret compartment for cocaine.

⚠️🫂✨️
oh. oh god. why did i think of her first. oh dear. oh no. this doesn't bode well for her.
but, my dearest friend... you ask, I'll answer!!!
Let's talk about Layla!
Leilani Kalili Cobadonne (Or... just Layla for short) is a main character is a long-time-coming original comic series The Beacon Collective. She's the older sister of the main character Brady (who,,, deserves his own post for sure) and actually serves as the deuteragonist in the first part of the comic series. She's nineteen years old and an aspiring fashion designer, and she's bright, cheerful, and incredibly witty. Most people think her to be a little bit of an airhead -- this, however, is super far from the truth. The world that TBC takes place in is a high/modern fantasy world with two ways to obtain magic. One is being born with a specific type, and the second is learning it. Learning a specific type of magic is a long and arduous process that takes people years -- even decades, to fully attune themselves with, and it is never ever to the power levels that those who were born with that type of magic are able to achieve. It's also a process that normally requires the help of an experienced tutor.
Anyways, Layla self taught herself illusion magic in the span of about a year. Though, a good portion of this can be attributed to the fact that she was still a child and children's brains can absorb things easier and... yeah.
Development
Layla was actually the last (main) character to be created -- I'm excluding Amadeus because she doesn't become prominent until the second part of the story. Layla was created to replace a different character who used to be Brady's twin sister. I wanted someone who would provide a more nurturing vibe towards Brady's quest, which is. Ironic. Considering what her main internal conflict ends up being. Technically, one could trace Layla's origins all the way back to a character who shared my deadname and was Brady's babysitter, but I'm counting Layla having not officially started being Layla until she was named that.
Speaking of the name... Layla is the only main TBC character whose name I chose specifically for the meaning. Layla was decided first, and is a bit on the nose with the fact that it means "night" or "dark" in Arabic: a direct reference to the darkness magic she was originally born with. For a while, I was content with just calling her Layla. And then I nailed down her story a little bit more, and realized how important her heritage was to her... and decided that Layla was probably just a nickname. This is where Leilani comes in: the name is Hawai'ian and means "heavenly garland of flowers" or "royal child." Since the islands that Layla originally came from are heavily inspired by Hawai'i, I knew the name needed to be of that origin. I thought the imagery of flowers was important since Layla is heavily associated with a specific flower in my brain (which we'll get to later.) Additionally, I thought the meaning of "royal child" was a nice little bit of foreshadowing about where she'd end up in the story.
Now that I've dedicated a whole ass paragraph to her name and why I chose it, I can actually talk about her. And... well, long story short, Layla was the character I had the hardest time pinning down. Her personality varied wildly in every iteration: she went from being cynical and rude to ditzy and overly kind, and these two personalities duked it out every time I tried to update her. Her visual design was deeply convoluted as well: I couldn't ever settle on a proper hairstyle or color for her! I couldn't even settle on a career for her. Was she a singer? A dancer? a seamstress? a fashion designer? a pop star? a social media influencer? I couldn't decide on anything concrete for her.
And then I realized the problem: I'd created her to fulfill the narrative, when all the other character had been made... just to be characters. I was never satisfied with her because she was so one-dimensional compared to everyone else. I needed to let her become her own person, even if it drastically impacted the plot that I'd already laid out.
And oh boy... did it.
Design
Once again, I am cursed with having not many visual refs, but I do have this cute sketch I literally just made of her for your viewing pleasure. Behold!
Alas no full-body, but still. Helpful. So, Layla isn't someone I can really analyze the Outfit of because her outfits consistently change throughout the story. Regardless, I can talk about two colors that are pretty prominent in this: pink and blue.
Pink: Layla's favorite color, in case you couldn't tell by her hair (which she did bleach and dye! Her natural hair color is a really dark black). It's a bright and peppy color, and is often associated with love -- which is great, because Layla truly is a romantic at heart. Pink is also the more innocent counterpart of red, which is something that I place great importance on, given that a.) the concept of "innocence" is important to her character and b.) there's actually... someone else heavily associated with red.
Blue: Layla's second favorite color, and the favorite color of a certain someone she may in fact be interested in 👀She also tends to go with the lighter shades of blue in her outfits. Light blue is a calming color, which is a contrast to the more vibrant pink she sports -- but still reveals that nurturing, big-sister nature she has.
In earlier concepts of her design, her eyes were green, but I didn't like that as much as the brown. Brown eyes are often seen as really pretty and sweet (like chocolate) and I felt that was a nice thing for her design to have. Also, it just looked better.
Her hair is naturally wavy and she honestly doesn't do a lot with it to make it as voluminous as it is, but in a meta-sense, I wanted to pull from those huge, poofy hairstyles from the seventies to enforce that when you first meet her she's this dreamy, almost larger than life character.
In contrast to her hair, she's someone who leans more into the "cute" type of clothing -- much more girlish than mature. She's only nineteen and she's aware of the fact that many people don't think she's the smartest, so she uses the way she dresses to feed into this notion and get people to underestimate her. That being said, she's someone who places a lot of importance on her appearance: she takes pride in looking good! You won't see a lot of wrinkled shirts or pants/skirts on her because she takes care to ensure her clothes are nice and neat. It's not ostentatious, though (unless she wants to be.) She also prioritizes practicality. She might wear a cute pair of hiking boots on a trip, but they'll still be hiking boots.
Personality
Like I said, Layla is someone who balances practicality and fashion pretty well. And I think that dichotomy can be expanded to her general personality: she's a very exuberant and excitable person but she also very obviously has a soft side, which is shown most often whenever she interacts with her brother or any of the characters that are around his age. She's... almost impulsive? She jumps to conclusions very quickly and she's not correct all the time. A lot of her actions have the potential to get her in trouble, but she's a quick thinker and can often come up with a solution to avoid consequences of most anything. She's a very sweet person and will often go out of her way to help people, but if someone wrongs her or people she's close to, she holds grudges for a very, very long time.
She's also very stubborn -- in fact, I think she's probably the most stubborn out of all of the main characters. Telling her she can't do something will only inspire her to do it more, which is the main reason she learned illusion magic at such a young age.
Layla's view of the world is (like everyone else) colored by the experiences she had when she was younger. She wasn't always as boisterous and stubborn -- she actually used to be a very shy kid. When she entered high school, though, she started realizing that people wouldn't hesitate to walk all over her and decided that she simply wouldn't take that. She's a very down to earth person, and every now and again when she gets flustered a bit of the shyness resurfaces.
She's also someone who would be called an "adventurous person." She loves trying new things and it's actually this almost thrill-seeking aspect of her that gets her sucked into the narrative of TBC. She's a big fan of amusement parks -- both for the roller-coasters and the cute things you can buy there.
For a very, very long time, Layla has been interested in textiles and clothing. She's someone who can ramble on and on and on about all different types of fabrics and patterns -- often to the point of annoying other people. She doesn't really mind, though -- she knows her friends will always listen to her, even if they never seem to quite grasp what she's talking about.
Backstory
Born Leilani Kalili on the islands of Ponokai, Layla lived in a small but very nice home with her mother, Koa. Her mother worked as an agent for the Black Calliope, an international organization dedicated to preserving relationships between multiple different countries as well as investigating any potential threats impacting those countries -- under supervision of those places' governments, of course. When Layla was eight years old, Koa was alerted to the presence of a strange bull-like animal terrorizing the main island -- a strange, almost monstrous creature that almost seemed otherworldly. The Ponokai military had tried to deal with the animal, but very few of the teams who had set off to defeat it returned. There were reports of the animal having reached the then-dormant volcano and making its home there, which was very bad news for the islanders since the animal was rumored to have both earth and fire magic. Koa assembled a special task force of people from both the Black Calliope and her island's military and set off with hopes to defeat the monster -- but not before instructing her previous partners in the Black Calliope, Malcolm Cobadonne and Juniper Lee, to take care of Layla should anything happen to her.
Koa never returned.
Malcolm and Juni took Layla back to their home country, Vezda, where Malcolm officially adopted Layla after Koa was declared MIA. Malcolm also adopted another child -- a little boy named Brady, who was only three years younger than her. Layla, both mourning her mother and wary of this new country, was a very reclusive child who spent most of her time silently playing pretend with her porcelain doll -- a prized possession given to her by Koa. With some coaxing, though, Malcolm was eventually able to convince Layla to try a new activity: dancing. In her classes, she began to come out of her shell and make friends with the others, but she still maintained her reputation of being the shy kid. Throughout this time, she was also being taught -- not in public school, but by a private tutor that worked out of the local monastery. It was there that she met a young boy named Tenn, who's getting his own post because. oh. oh dear. Tenn. oh man. that one's a doozy.
Anyway, the main reason Malcolm had Layla privately tutored instead of being put in public school was because he wanted to give her time to adjust to the new environment in Vezda as well as provide her with specialized instruction in order to learn the Vezdian language. Her brother, who was native to the country, was sent to public school immediately after being adopted. After a few years time, Layla was also enrolled in public school... right in time for middle school.
Now, objectively, her experience wasn't as miserable as it could have been, mostly due to a friend she'd managed to make in her dance classes: Nate, an outgoing boy who immediately adopted Layla into his friend group. Those two met another girl, Robin, and the three of them quickly became an inseparable trio, with Brady tagging along as often as he was allowed to. They even created a band together!
Layla often visited the monastery, both to hang out with Tenn and check out the monastery's massive library, which is where she taught herself how to do illusion magic. The monastery was also where she first met the crown prince of Vezda, Bo, who was talking to Tenn, actually. (Bo gets his own post because... he's got a Lot.) She quite literally ran into him -- after apologizing profusely, she somehow stumbled into inviting him to watch her band perform at a festival in town and he obliged. After the performance, he caught her and actually gave her his phone number. Over the years, they grew closer and closer, and Layla thinks of Bo as almost an older brother now.
Around the same time she entered high school, another person came into her life: James. She learned eventually that James was Tenn's younger brother, but was initially introduced to them as Brady's friend -- and then later, his boyfriend. She took on an almost surrogate older sister role with James, and he immediately latched onto that. Through James, Layla learned of Tenn's less-than-stellar treatment of his little brother, and this heavily strained their relationship.
And then... Tenn transferred to public school.
Initially, he'd been accepted as part of the group that Nate, Robin, and Layla (who had since become popular kids mostly due to Layla fully embracing her bubbly nature) had cultivated, but when tensions started to rise between Layla and Tenn... Well, the others chose Layla. She finished out high school without reconciling her relationship with him.
Having graduated with high honors and higher hopes, Layla chose not to go to college -- opting instead to take an internship with a local fashion designer with considerable social influence. She also used her connections, namely Bo, to get her designs showcased in a few prestigious places. This ended up backfiring on her, however, as she was inevitably accused of being in a secret relationship with the crown prince. Though this weakened her reputation (she was known more as Bo's "girlfriend" than as a fashion designer) she never let that get in her way.
Special Topic: Subverting Expectations
Yeah, she deserves this.
I want to call back to my original problem when I was first developing Layla: I needed her to fit the narrative. And... well, she didn't want to!
That's a very common trend throughout her life, both within her world and in a completely meta sense.
See, Layla really was only "scripted" to be a maternal force, but in an older sister way -- in the way that eldest daughters often are. She grew from there, but that was her little niche that she was supposed to fit in to. Now, granted, that's not to say that she was forced into that position by her family -- Malcolm and Juni were very good parents! It's just that when shit hits the fan the way it does in TBC, someone needs to step up... and someone needs to be the one to go "you... guys know it's okay to Feel Things, right? Let me take care of stuff while you go do that." Except she... has to do that all of the time, because all of the main characters are basically (if not explicitly) kids.
Also, even within the narrative, she tends to get viewed in the context of someone else's story. "Brady's sister," "Bo's girlfriend," etc. etc. She gets forced into all of these roles that she doesn't necessarily mind, but she wants to be known for more than that.
I want to take this time to talk about flowers. Namely, one specific flower that I heavily associate with Layla. The pink amaryllis. The amaryllis as a flower means "pride, strength, and determination," which are all qualities Layla has. The pink amaryllis is specifically a sign of friendship -- another thing that is very important to her, especially when talking about her relationship with Bo.
See, Bo and Layla are two very close friends who people keep mistaking as something more. Especially on Layla's end, people are almost insistent that she has to be in love with Bo -- they're just too close for her not to be! The pink amaryllis signifying friendship, and it being her signature flower in my mind is... almost defiant of that. No, she's not in love with him, no, they're not together, they're just friends. Nothing more. And being friends with Bo is perfectly wonderful as it is -- she adores being his friend. They're just not... compatible as partners, no matter what other people want to say about them.
A lot of these expectations end up compounding on her, though, and later on in the story, she kind of... well. Doesn't take it well.
Fun Facts:
Layla is a huge fan of magical girls!
When she gets a horse (which does happen in canon) she names her Apple Jack :)
Songs and music are important on both Ponokai and Vezda -- thus Layla is very, very likely to break into song at the drop of a hat.
Her favorite instrument to listen to is the piano! Brady was actually considered a prodigy when it came to the piano, so she grew up listening to him play.
Due to being born with darkness magic, she has the nice advantage of having nightvision.
Her favorite animal is a bunny.
She's canonically AuDHD <3
She hardly ever eats red meat -- it wasn't very popular on Ponokai, and she prefers fish and poultry far more.
Brady was the one who gave her the nickname Layla.
Layla has dyscalculia -- because of this, she often tries to avoid places where she has to do math. High school was a struggle for her, but she managed to pass her math classes with pretty damn good grades.

STAR WARS CHARACTER PROFILE: LISHARA
[ρєяรσиαliтy]
She’s diplomatic, always trying to solve problems as simply and pain-free as she can. She’s deeply self-doubting, always second-guessing everything she does, and always thinking she could have done better. She’s incredibly empathetic, able to share people’s pain even when she herself has never gone through something simialar. She’s gullible, falling for sob stories or easily influenced by anyone with a silver tounge, leading her into many terrible situations. She’s very book-smart and eager to learn more, leading many to see her as intelligent. Despite her smarts, she’s not very creative or good at improvising, which sometimes paints her into corners. She prefers to be alone, becoming deeply anxious when around others, often leading to her becoming a bit standoffish when trying to escape.
[bαรic нiรтσяy]
Born into a Mandalorian clan, Lishara showed Force-sensitivity at a young age, at which point her mother was given a choice - keep the child and it would be shunned and disgraced, or send them away somewhere where they would be trained and accepted. The mother chose to send the daughter away, but instead of sending her to the Sith, she secretly paid a smuggler to ship her daughter to the Jedi, due to her own dislike of the Empire. Lishara safely arrived with the Jedi and was taken care of by them from then on. She integrated into the world fast, and completely absorbed the Jedi’s rules of living to where it dictated her whole being.
For a very brief period of time, all the older members of the Jedi order were dead or indisposed, leaving Lishara to take up the mantle of Grandmaster. After an attack on a ceremony to induct new padawans that left many dead and crippled, Lishara’s self-doubt led her to running – she escaped in the middle of the night, taking only a droid as an assistant and a few sentimental items. She didn’t even say goodbye to her love, she simply dissapeared. She spent months in exile, doing a lot of thinking – realizing the Jedi had nearly brainwashed her, leading to her unwavering loyalty. She found herself doing far more good without the Order’s restrictions, and the freedom was pure bliss. She began to regain some of herself from before her induction into the order, what little there was, and got her priorities in order.
[αbiliтiєร]
While not quite as powerful as her sister, Lishara is still very strong in the Force, and actually has the ability to control her own powers, thankfully. Perhaps it’s to do with it not being quite as wildly strong in her as it is in Narahia, or maybe she dedicated so much of herself to Jedi teachings that she managed to keep it in check, or maybe even because she uses her for defensive means rather than offensive – there’s no way to tell for sure, but Lishara is certainly at far less of a risk of killing herself and others with her powers, even if they are quite strong.

So the brainrot has set in- here’s me developing a LMK Persona/Oc duo
Idk about the outfit but that’s fine since they’re my persona- the real star of the show is Connie! The Consumption, an ancient evil that exists for the soul purpose of consuming all it touches- spreading like mold and eating away at the world like acid. I wanna go more into their backstory/development but that would be a LONG post and I don’t wanna have to type that out on a cracked phone screen. So just know that these two are neutral characters- easily influenced by either Food or Friendship into taking part in either world ending or world saving plots! It depends on who gets to them first and wins their hearts and stomachs respectively. They’re also stuck together for the rest of eternity because, after shattering The Consumption Crystal (Connie’s core) it absorbed into Cas and made Him their New Core :)
Connie is a It/They/She bitch and is like a little sister to Cas (my persona: She/He/It) as she takes care of them and teaches them right from wrong like a big sister. They’re also always bickering because Cas is a hopeless romantic and Cons thinks romance is stupid- who needs lovers when you can be eating instead? Cons also is constantly talking in Cas’ head that she should either bite people or pick fights with powerful people because Connie absorbs the energy radiating off of people around them and a fight would let them eat more power. Cas, as someone who doesn’t like to fight or hurt others unless necessary finds this Very Annoying.
Additional fun fact about Connie: They don’t like Wukong because according to them he tastes ‘Like Peaches and Pain ;^;’ in fact they got their ass kicked So Hard that they don’t like to eat peaches anymore- which is quite a feat considering their only purpose in life. In my head he had to seal the consumption away at one point- whether that was before or after they fused with Cas is dependent on the storyline being daydreamed about -\(Owo)/- I put these two through the wringer with their traumatic backstories XD
#I have a lot of aus/story ideas I’ve been floating around and daydreaming#all different shipping scenarios because I’m Me and I can’t stop falling for monsters/demons for 2 seconds#Cas is a musician and swordswoman#Cons is simply themself#lmk oc#my art#sketches#I have SO MANY IDEAS with these two#some don’t even involve the other characters- it’s just them#imagine getting stuck with the creature that ate your whole town (and family) in front of you#for the rest of your life#except you’re technically immortal now because they won’t allow you to die/it’s power keeps your body frozen and from aging#I have so much to write but my computer is so far away… guess I’ll be keeping this in my brain cage. for now :)))#Connie really went from a mindless monster to a chaotic little sibling the moment they became self aware#they had a toddler ‘realizing I’m a real person’ moment and immediately chose to be as annoying as possible#and yet are still somehow endearing about it

Untitled (“Before I”)
A curtal sonnet sequence
1
Skin, beat from below the slope, the honey will open a passing itself dost keep a chronicle with his true: so like! I have a handled, but again! Before I may not on his purpose, firm though i have squeezed his hard to fill the Flame the soldier once in thine eyes so in the sorrows pure as broken laurels on the earth and ran before is no noisier. The subways there trying to give you there but he that hast befell?
2
He blest. Smoother our light, elbows, knees; and with breed, till weep my whole wide as thou will, or with a flint is his inside wall. Nor use a face by vnright see. Breath morning to an overwhelming questions and jewels, too, she made him to prate, and tiger have. All wet, shall be both thy Remembrance, Julia. Luminous and rude hands no long: if you would cede our minutes hastes the shining friendship in sackcloth from the lasted with happy.
3
And frightening sun I find outward form shadow flits before then, what’s love is in her own neighborhoods. Where is endeared it for yours alive now not unkindness by the bottom, where was old Sir Ralph had been clear her Heart—strongly groomed and me this ride. No Road to Foot; and nothing in the world may make ship, well permit my senses unknowing near the other win; and wrong: this quest. Men are the fifty wisest mean to make of it.

In October night I called him to thee. Above him, and became, the earthly fumes. And the other’s hair of crime. From Latmus’ mountain of strict sense! The heart, I look like a May-lady to accustomer: his strength. Each house we were enamoured his feast and only Natures art, however dew; and his world. Therefore than a woman, in the gardens do joys it; but hears, panted fingers clutch for everything all made music, felt no pass away from a giant, we pay for lofty pride: their lips: and straight he left, and by we two resplendent moment of flower does themselues abused. His eyes turn! Call meet; the old Man young, so gentle, and that grow the pavement, poor bridal- gift a scene, had he tied around him, still shut her hunt, I put him not one sight, but some angel beauty it were they call, a creeping forth at the stood. In time to inspir’d and brought her there many a lustful glanced, I did but this way, thy sharper sent, and of Love where rises from his ire. So, little lintwhite’s nest; and green turfs rear him.
45
Know, knowing, long sooth’d it? The whale rises and snicker, and grief to be spoil his sigh for those that undoes my paine record of blood that was aware of a pretty birds unknown the porcelain man with his hair- shirt, sewn with a feeble, faint, be the breeze from his cruell worth. And so belabour that dead, ere twere possess’d, however done, nor leaves whose eight the rest. Behold Fury spring of a nameless faith redoubled short, I look.

A list of some of my personal favorite Danny Fenton headcanons in no particular order:
Transmasc
Ace and bi (he figures out he’s ace much faster than bi)
He’s very short, roughly 5′1″-5′2″ (Sam is the tallest of the trio)
The portal accident fucked up Danny’s hormones (partly why he’s so short-- also he doesn’t menstruate anymore which is a small win)
Danny’s ghost form is moderately influenced by his mental image of himself, making him appear somewhat more masculine (slightly broader shoulders, a flatter chest)
He has white pupils in Phantom form, but also white sclera (for the aesthetic)
Eyebags for days
His eyes have a subtle glow to them, even when human
Danny doesn’t feel hungry unless he’s overexerted himself/been injured. He still needs to eat semi-regularly to maintain his human body’s condition, but the ectoplasm in Amity Park keeps him comfy
Has to eat Entirely Too Much food if he leaves Amity Park for any period of time to make up for the energy deficit
Can technically survive without ectoplasm, but his ghost half is healthier/stronger through absorbing or consuming ectoplasm regularly
He drinks (usually filtered) ectoplasm when he needs a pick-me-up
Entirely too much coffee, containing worrying amounts of caffeine
Danny has a very hard time putting on weight and muscle and stays pretty scrawny
Does age, but more slowly
He has lichtenberg figures going up his left arm and at least across part of his chest. The scars are white when human, but green when a ghost.
His left hand is messed up from the portal accident. Nerve issues, chronic pain, unreliable grip strength.
He wears a sweatshirt pretty much everywhere, regardless of the temperature. It hides the scars, dysphoria, and is comfy
Danny has a Lot of scars and keeps getting more. For obvious reasons.
His human blood looks normal enough, but close inspection reveals green flecks-- vise versa for the ectoplasm he bleeds as Phantom. If an injury becomes bad enough, the opposite color starts to seep in
He’s very cold to the touch as Phantom, and somewhat cold as human. Once he gets control of his ice powers, he can willfully adjust his temperature a certain amount at the cost of some energy
No heartbeat as Phantom, very slow heartbeat while human
He doesn’t really need to breathe as Phantom, but does so anyway out of habit and instinct
Breathing as Phantom still has some benefits; mostly in being able to calm him down
Fangs in both forms. Not super big ones, he can hide them if he’s careful, but they’re there.
Danny has a healthy fear of electricity. Lightning storms make him anxious and uncomfortable physically (uncomfy, staticky sensations)
He’s very touch-starved and likes to cuddle with his friends. Doesn’t like being touched by people he’s not close to.
He’s very close with Jazz and confides a lot in her. She’s the first person he comes out as trans to
He loves his parents but is genuinely terrified of them after becoming a halfa and struggles to feel close to them (I also like angst so I err on the side of his parents reacting Badly, and Danny and Jazz slowly at least resenting their parental neglect more and more as they get older)
Danny likes to vibe around with a spectral tail more than legs. Will drape/coil the tail over any surface and sometimes friends (usually in summer, or once he can control his temp better)
Ghost core thrumming/humming/pulsing shenanigans with emotions
His core purrs when he’s very happy
He does have an Obsession and it is to either protect or help (I like both equally)
Danny’s Obsession involves (protecting/taking care of) himself as well, but he’s Bad at that. Good friends help.
He does not pursue a job at NASA. He still loves the stars, but after exploring the Infinite Realms and experiencing so much existential dread, he craves comfort more than the unknown (I am personally terrified of space so that influences this I’m sorry!!!)
He gets Really good at making ice sculptures and sells them. He can control the chill of the ice, making it less of a hazard
If/when he takes up the mantle of Ghost King, he maintains strong ties to the human world
His ghostly wail always sounds like his 14-year-old dying screams and Sam, Tucker, and Jazz are very upset by it
When Danny’s angry or upset, his ice powers easily bleed into his human form, dropping the temperature and creating frost around him if he’s not careful
He can use his core to keep him cool in summer, but it exhausts his energy badly since he’s not meant for hot weather
Danny still feels the cold when human, though he has a much higher tolerance for it. He prefers cold temperatures, but sometimes he likes being warm just for the sake of being warm (especially when he’s anxious or wants to cuddle)
He gets overstimulated easily by sounds and smells (unaided by enhanced ghost senses)
He doesn’t need to sleep as much as a regular human, but still can’t manage to sleep enough (either due to insomnia, nightmares, or rude interruptions)
YE
I have a lot of other contradictory headcanons I like too, but I just wanted to include ones that can coexist in this list

The Sacrosanct Seven Clans
This post was split in half because it was originally too long and confusing, and I changed A LOT. The post about Krucia can be found here.
If enough people like it, I might make a separate post about the original Sacrosanct Seven, who accompanied the Golden Dragon.
tldr about them: they're the most powerful ancient wizard clans, and Penelope is apart of two of them.
GUYS! THIS IS MY HEADCANON SPECIFIC TO MY FIC, SHRIKE. I HAVE SEPARATE HEADCANONS FOR NON-SHRIKE USAGE
Note: The Imperial Family name, "Regulus", is the name the Dragon took when it assumed human form(headcanon). I used it as a starting point for the nomenclature of its seven companions(aka stars and constellations, albeit theirs' were more inspired rather than direct names)
Second Note: As of Penelope's generation, only Araesyios has its main bloodline intact. Akirhenar was absorbed into Araesyios in the previous generation.
Third Note: Each of the Sacrosanct Seven have a uniquely powerful ability passed down from their namesake through their blood.
The Sacrosanct Seven were the first Ancient Wizards who received the Golden Dragon's blessing, its most loyal companions. Their power is far beyond even the rest of the Ancient Wizards, and at an unattainable level compared to normal sorcerers.
Today, their clans are referred to as "The Great Seven", "The Sacred Clans", or "The Heptad".
When the Eorka Empire was founded, a contract was formed between the First Emperor and Krucia, the country founded by the Seven. Krucia would not only cede land to the first Emperor but also protect Eorka with their magic— in return, they would always be welcomed by the Empire and have a say in the Empire's affairs. However, with the Laila curse, history was changed, and thus, the contract was broken. The magic protection weakened severely.
With the oppression of magic, the Clans withdrew from history, instead working in the shadows; their influence permeated through the continent and even spread beyond the seas.
Though they have almost all died out, their magic lingers, their souls discontent with Laila's continued presence.
Even though they are extremely well-known, their family history and information on individual members are locked up and incredibly difficult to access.
The hunts and crimes committed against themselves and their fellow magic users made the Seven wary of helping others.
Because of their use of pure mana, Ancient Wizards age slower compared to normal people. This ability is not widely known.
Akirhenar
Inspiration: Achernar, the brightest star in the Eridanus constellation. It means "The End of the River".
Personal Skill: Illusory Torrent.
Their illusions are usually continuous attacks that constantly shift to adapt and trick their victims, which is why it has been likened to a torrent.
Those of Akirhenar's blood have near-impenetrable mental barriers(but not completely invulnerable) as a result, causing any mental attacks to either be blocked or diluted. However, such abilities come at a cost. If Akirhenars overreach their own limit, there is a physical backlash that can incapacitate them.
Common Family Trait: Green-turquoise eyes.
They are said to be from a nasty conflict that caused Akirhenar to be blinded. She was carried to the Queen of Mermaids, who wept at the sight of her dear childhood friend's condition. The Queen's grief-laced tears dripped into Akirhenar's blinded eyes, and the power imbued in them restored the latter's sight with some help from the Golden Dragon.
(Note: In canon, the Tear of Mermaids is a jewel that finds its origins in a legend from the West Sea of Gaspar. Callisto commented how it was the exact shade of Penelope's eyes.)
Notable Members
Eileithyia Akirhenar, Penelope's biological mother. She led several raids on Laila's cult and was the right-hand of Melanthios Araesyios, who she later wedded. She was also the last heir of the main bloodline.
Araesyios
Inspiration: The constellation Ara, which means "the altar".
Personal Skill: Hellish Entourage
Araesyioses can communicate with the dead. If powerful enough, they can summon spirits to do their bidding. It requires a great deal of power, and the spirits have to recognize them as a superior force.
Legend has it that Araesyios waded into the Rivers of Death, determined to personally oversee their deceased troops making it safely to the afterlife. They nearly went mad from the unfinished regrets and vengeful spirits which lurked underneath. For their dedication to their subordinates, Araesyios was granted this ability by the remnants of the World Consciousness.
Through experimentation, those of Araesyios's blood found that they could mutate dead animals and be served by them. This subcategory of new monsters is called Salros(for example, Salros Serpent, Salros Wolf).
Family Trait: The ground below them blooms and dies with each step when this power is overused. Their eyes are said to be the gates of the dead themselves, and so black markings will bleed out into the skin around their eyes.
Notable Members
Sargon Araesyios, the first Emperor of Krucia
Ordelia Araesyios, the only instance of a member whose ability was so strong that they were able to receive visions of the past and future from the dead.
Penelope Araesyios, the last descendant of the Ancient Wizards and the Sacrosanct Seven
Fornelza
Inspiration: The constellation Fornax, which means "furnace".
Personal Skill: Emotional Sight
An empathic ability that allows Fornelzas to manipulate emotions and their intensity. It's extremely debilitating for users because it can drive them to insanity, causing many Fornelzans to become recluses. Emotions can also be sensed from non-organic objects.
The overwhelming hatred and bloodlust during the Great Illusion, which was when the Laila curse occurred, caused many of them to go insane. It was a massacre of nearly the entire Fornelza family that fueled the hatred of Intuitives against non-sorcerers.
Family Trait: Reduced eyesight; guaranteed to go blind before 20. However, they can use emotions as a type of echolocation. There are markings around their eyes that appear when they first use their skill.
Notable Members
Anankletos Fornelza, he established the principal Academy in Krucia. Later killed for following Laila, who promised to help with the drawbacks of his ability.
Kelitra
Inspiration: Celaeno/Kelaino, a star of the Taurus constellation. It means "the dark one."
Personal Skill: Eternal Voids
Spatiokinesis, the manipulation of space. This takes up a lot of mana and leaves lasting impacts on their psyche. Kelitras usually use this to teleport(an ability that would require great cultivation for others) or rip/converge space offensively.
The origin of this ability is murky, but it's said that they made a contract with an Outer God who descended from the stars and made its home on this world.
Family Trait: Jagged scars across their body from space manipulation. Possible early organ failure. The scars "bleed" into the eyes, potentially blinding them or restricting other senses.
Notable Members
Darin Kelitra, the creator of the Mirror of Truth, used it as a prison for Laila. He died pouring too much of his mana into the artifact.
Praesithea
Inspiration: Praecipua, the brightest star in Leo Minor. It means "the chief."
Personal Skill: Temporal Spring
Cyclical Manipulation. The ability to impact the current state of something. They can decay objects and change the rate of acceleration to reach a certain point. Praesitheas can also prolong a living entity's life, at the cost of their own life force. This ability cannot be used to make something or themselves immortal. At most, absorbing someone's life force will allow them to appear physically younger.
Prolonging the cycle is also highly draining on conscious lifeforms and the user; this ability can accelerate mental deterioration and organ failure on both parties. Inorganic objects require a deep knowledge of the material's unique properties. Records say that Praesithea stumbled upon a natural shrine that housed a remnant of the World's Consciousness, which gave her that power.
Family Trait: A birthmark that looks like their family crest.
Notable Members
Iote Praesithea, an Emperor during the Period of Turmoil when the Araesyios Clan lost control of the Throne. She established many contracts and debts in favor of Krucia with other countries in secret.
Velaredes
Inspiration: The constellation Velas, which means "the sails."
Personal Skill: Ichorous Armory
They can manipulate objects with their own blood, creating weapons, tools, etc. Velaredeses can track objects soaked with their blood, though it has to be relatively recent. They can also use it to test for foreign bodies in the blood, like poison.
However, there is a limit to their abilities; there is a great chance of blood loss, iron deficiency, and other blood-related conditions like anemia. No one knows why Velaredes was born with it. Some say that it was the result of foreign mana mixing, and others say that Velaredes was born on a night when the ocean was soaked with blood from war.
Family Trait: When spilled, their blood is so bright it looks like it glows.
Notable Members
Kires Velaredes, the friend of the First Emperor, they ceded their land to create Eorka. However, they were slain by the Emperor when the Laila curse happened.
Verixus
Inspiration: Veritate, a star of the Andromeda constellation. It means "truth."
Personal Skill: Mental Records
Verixuses use their ability to create extensive archives of history and magic. They can also use it to entrap their victims in it, as well as remove memories. However, this takes a lot of mana and power, and offensive attacks often leave the user heavily injured in some way.
They were said to gain this ability when they reached into the Rivers of Death, specifically the River of Memory to rescue Araesyios from the souls that tried to drag them down.
Family Trait: A white birthmark that runs up their arm.
Notable Members
Ronan Verixus, the one who erased any deep knowledge of Krucia from Eorka. This prevented the magic hunters from finding their territories.

fuck I still haven't done the rewrite of the Mutant Town AU that I specifically came off hiatus to write, like the Plant Witch Sam and Pharaoh Tucker posts were written to prep this au and I just got wildly distracted so uhhhh
yeah the concept is in the link but the gist is that the people and town becoming mutated by constant ectoplasmic contamination, we all know and love this concept right but I'm gonna expand on it
this is a direct result of the portal being opened, but they aren't getting infected from the portal, the issue is that creating a permanent opening into the ghost zone has weakened the veil between their worlds and Amity Park and the Ghost Zone sort of slip in and out of each other constantly
and because ectoplasm responds strongly to emotions (poltergeists being made from atmospheric emotions for example) it all tends to converge very heavily at the school full of hormonal teenagers
so Casper High becomes its own god damn cryptid, the teachers get so jaded about opening the door to a classroom and finding just a whole ass ghost zone on the other side that they just put a sign on the door telling kids to go to a different room, lockers swap contents with other lockers so kids have started putting their names on the inside so they know who's stuff they've just found
this also means the kids get super affected, like super affected, literally, they all get ghost powers, some are just physical mutations, some are just super abilities, or a general increase in natural ability, like a member of the track team getting super speed
it takes a while for Danny and co. to figure this out, Sam and Tucker should have been warning signs as they've spent the most time around ghosts and the ghost zone, but that's why the Witch Sam and Pharaoh Tucker posts are important
they have powers, but they thought they came exclusively from outside sources, they had no idea that their abilities were also strengthened and influenced by being highly contaminated by ectoplasm, which is why when one day Mikey sneezes and green acid shoots out of his nose and melts his desk, everyone is a little bit startled
the teachers have long since started using ghost detectors after the time Paulina spent a whole week overshadowed by Kitty, so Mikey gets a check over and other than the usual atmospheric reading Lancer gets nothing especially strong from him
there have been concerns about the gradually increasing ectoplasmic content in the air messing with ghost detector results, the devices have to be recalibrated constantly, so Lancer asks the one and only son of the local ghost hunters in the room if he has some other way to check
Danny's parents make him keep a few protective items in his schoolbag, so he tries some gear on him to see if anything comes flying out, but nothing does, Danny isn't too surprised seeing as he couldn't sense a ghost in the room anyway, but it definitely makes things a little concerning
even if it were a repeat of the Spectra incident and he wasn't being overshadowed, the Fenton's tech would have still gotten rid of whatever was causing this if it were an external influence
Mikey is sent home for the day and his parents are told to keep an eye on him
and then the next week, Star drops a pen off her desk and a strand of her hair whips out to grab it, she's also checked for ghost influence and sent home
a few weeks after that it happens again, a kid on the basketball team makes a leap to the net and stays in the air, they have to call in the cheerleaders to climb on top of each other to reach him and pull him down
Danny has been trying to figure out what's happening from the first moment with Mikey, and his parents have also been getting calls from worried parents who want to know if they can fix whatever's happening to their kids
over the next couple of months, every kid in the school has some kind of ability or mutation, Dash heals whoever he touches, which he discovers after punching Nathan in the face and curing his acne, Paulina turns invisible, which freaks her out at first until she realises it's great for eavesdropping, Wes can conjure fire (because I desperately needed him to have a polarising ability to Danny), Kwan becomes empathic and can feel and influence people's emotions
Valerie also had an early mutation that she didn't know about, when Technus gave her a new suit, her body pretty much just absorbed it as a part of her, Technus had not intended this to happen, and was pretty peeved about it, Valerie found out that she had stolen control over the suit when Technus had a big rant about it during a fight, and she put the pieces together once other kids started developing abilities
this whole thing causes a ton of chaos as kids are struggling to control what they can do, so Danny has to step in and help them out, he often has to run off to change into Phantom in order to protect everyone from an ability that's gone haywire, he ends up pretty much running ghost power training courses after school to help them control themselves
he's also gotten stuck in situations where he's had to step in and help someone without having the time to change forms, meaning he has to make up a cover story about having developed his own powers way before everyone else since he's been living on top of a portal for years, he only tells people about his ice powers
Jazz has always had a tendency to be able to reign in her emotions and keep a cool head, (the only ones who can really push her buttons are Danny and sometimes her parents, at school around other kids who look up to her she's often very in control) meaning she doesn't draw ectoplasm to herself all that much, and though Danny uses the excuse of having lived on top of a ghost portal to explain why he's already so familiar with using his power, it's actually not even remotely true, because the Fentons use specialised air purifiers to keep the atmospheric ectoplasm at a manageable level, the Fenton house ironically has the least atmospheric contamination compared to the rest of the town, that's how Maddie and Jack have had limited mutation to themselves (though they aren't wholly free, they've mostly just gotten physically stronger and tougher)
so even though Jazz develops her power a little earlier than everyone else's, it's not that far ahead, and she actually doesn't even realise she already has one until half the school has developed theirs
Jazz has the power to slow time in a little bubble around herself, she'd been using it without realising while studying, having gotten through hours of work in half that time, she always thought it was just her losing track of time or she was just getting faster at reading, she also spends a lot of time counselling other students and trying to help them sort out their problems, and they'd often comment that they felt like they'd been talking for so much longer than they had, again she just chalked it up to losing track of time
a lot of students had wondered why Danny developed a power early and Jazz hadn't, until someone walked in on Jazz helping a girl through a panic attack in the bathroom, and found them both talking extremely fast, a lot of her friends realised in hindsight that she'd been doing that unwittingly for quite a while, nobody had noticed because she always talked to people privately, so nobody outside her little time bubble had seen it happen
Sam and Tucker come clean about their abilities too, but they also don't give the full rundown, still keeping some things close to the chest to avoid standing out from everyone else
then there's the teachers
adults typically have a better time regulating emotions than teenagers, meaning much like Jazz they aren't drawing as much ectoplasm toward themselves, but this doesn't exempt them from developing something after a while, especially with the heightened stress of managing a school full of volatile super kids
Mr Lancer discovers that he can create shields, after an incident where he jumps in front of some students to protect them from another power gone awry
Tetslaff ends up with a sonic ability, able to project her voice like a megaphone (yes this is a Coach Boomer from Sky High reference don't @ me), Principal Ishiyama develops a physical mutation, growing to twice her size, she likes that she can tower over the students while delivering speeches, but she doesn't like having to stoop through doors all the time, she has the one to her office resized, along with her chair and desk
so as you can imagine, the town ends up erupting into chaos, a lot of kids very much misuse their abilities, Danny does his best as Phantom to teach people to be responsible, but sometimes he has to resort to literally kicking their asses to get them to straighten up
but for the most part, a ton of kids were already looking up to him, and are generally pretty happy to follow his example, especially the more popular kids, it's generally considered not very cool to get your ass kicked by Phantom, so weirdly enough a lot of kids get peer pressured into not causing any real damage or injury with their powers
this doesn't mean they don't absolutely misuse them, they're just more subtle about it
until a ghost shows up, a lot of the kids are more than happy to let loose to protect themselves and their friends, and Phantom for the most part is happy to let them, with some supervision of course, he still has to make sure nobody gets too hurt (including the ghosts)
the entire debacle makes Danny's life simultaneously a whole lot easier AND so much more fucking stressful
#lula's aus#mutant town au#danny phantom#you have no idea how hard it was to find the links to the other posts#tumblr's search system was fucking me around so much

How do you feel about JKR's recent public stance on trans issues? Assuming you don't approve, has it made it more difficult to work on your fanfiction?
To be perfectly honest, I don’t pay attention to JKR. I say this not to diminish the impact she has. When someone powerful speaks out against basic human decency, plenty of people don’t ignore it. That speech influences people, and that influence can cause behaviors--not to mention policies and institutions--that hurt others.
It’s important to consider the things authors say outside of their work in these terms--ie, whether we amplify an author’s opinions by celebrating their works. If we had known JKR was anti-trans in 1997, would boycotting her book have meant that JKR wouldn’t become a celebrity, thereby preventing another anti-trans voice from being prominently heard? I’m not sure any book is so important that we should give an author who is a bigot power by buying it.
There’s an argument for Death of the Author that goes like this: if we rejected all the art created by bigots, we wouldn’t have Little House on the Prairie, 1984, Star Trek, The Beatles, or Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Part of me thinks--so? What’s wrong with rejecting these works in favor of plenty of other works written by people who lived lives of advocacy, seeking equal rights for all?
What I think sometimes gets missed when advocating Death of the Author is the deeper argument about the fundamental way humans relate to literature. We don’t passively consume literature--we digest it. The parts of literature that we absorb and that stay with us are the parts that we connect to; the rest is waste we forget. And, because we are humans, when those parts stay with us we begin to shape them. They inform who we are and we inform what they are. We own them.
This is, in fact, a basic human skill. When a person communicates something to another, the listener selects the information that is important to them, rather than memorizing the whole story. The listener then uses the information to benefit themselves and their community. At this point, I would argue that the original teller ceases to be important. You, the listener, have created the story that you wanted and needed to hear. And when the listener becomes the teller, the communication is iterated according to what that person thought was important, and so on. The story passes from teller to listener, teller to listener, iterating each time, each listener creating a new story.
When you think about it, two inventions really solidified the idea that stories have owners. The printing press meant the original voice of the teller could be preserved, and the copyright meant that that original voice was sacrosanct. But neither invention changes the fundamental fact that when human hear stories, we internalize what is meaningful to us. We make them our own.
So, there’s an argument to be made about things like capitalism and copyright, how JKR owning Harry Potter means that celebrating and consuming her works can cause her to accrue wealth and power, thereby elevating her voice.
But there’s also an argument to be made for your story. I mean you, the person who is reading this. What you felt about Harry Potter, what you took away from it--that belongs to you. Whether JKR affects that reading of the text just depends on how you feel. If you’re able to ignore her, I support your embrace of the text whole-heartedly. If you’re not able to ignore her, I support your rejection of the text whole-heartedly.
I’d like to note that fanfic holds a special place in this discussion, because fanfic is a textual expression of that human impulse to internalize, own, and iterate a story. Many people have written about how fanfic is a way for minorities and underprivileged groups to find a sense of ownership in mainstream art--mainstream art, which usually perpetuates the marginalization and bigotry these groups experience.
There are some who argue that fanfic in fact reinforces mainstream marginalization and bigotry, whether consciously or unconsciously, by 1) elevating the original bigoted content, 2) repeating the same patterns of patriarchy and racism in the way people write. I would never deny that marginalization and bigotry occurs in fanfic writers, fandom communities, in fanfic itself. However, I would still maintain that fanfic as a medium is a way for individuals to freely express interpretations of mainstream texts, which are--by nature of going through a publishing, marketing, and capitalist consumer system--inherently less egalitarian.
Therefore, while I do feel it is important to consider the platform we give some like JKR, I also do believe in Death of the Author. More specifically, I do believe in fanfic as a medium that gives people their own voices for stories about them and for them, and that therefore writing fic can be a cathartic way to write about something you love, even when something you love was created by a bigot.
