THIS POST IS ME TALKING A LOT ABOUT SOME STUPID SHIT FROM A YEAR AGO. cws for discussions of sexual assault, pregnancies and abortions. its been about a year since i first wrote & published "and to the weaver maid lend your dress tonight". that was perhaps one of the most cathartic fics i had ever written, maybe one of the most cathartic i ever will write. i havent talked about it much here, but among friends im pretty open about the fact ive experienced sexual assault, not just as a child but as a teenager and young adult. imagine my surprise when a friend of mine DM's me, tells me "actually writing about rape in any context at all whatsoever is a moral wrong and youre a pedo rape fetishist for posting this" immediately after i had said "well i was raped as a teenager so i like to explore themes of assault & recovery", and then blocking me before i can even recover from the concussion-inducing blow that was that message. then i was excommunicated from an entire friend group but whatever. i just want to be like. okay. i want to say i get it. man, if i saw a fic with the tags "weaver maid" had from a total stranger, i probably wouldnt click it because i wouldnt trust that they were handling the subject in a way that wasnt weird voyeuristic trauma porn. but if i knew someone for 10+ years and they posted something like that i would go well, when im in the right space to read about that, ill check it out. or just talk to them myself one on one like hey can i get a lowdown on the details of whats happening here so i know what to expect haha. like just a thought. what really gets me is that a kenjaku rper told me themes of SA in any media is bad. a kenjaku rper. kenjaku. patron saint of sex crimes kenjaku. kenjaku who forcefully impregnated chosos mother multiple times and forced her to undergo just as many abortions. that kenjaku. was it because i had mahito assault yuuji?? mahito??? who do you think would teach mahito, a curse, about human concepts of consent and sexual boundaries? do you think kenjaku would do that. do you think kenjaku told mahito rape is bad. do you think mahito, whos entire thing is to warp peoples souls and twist their physical bodies beyond recognition, would care. anyway. that was crazy.
