kind of a weird question, but has anyone here ever cheated on their partner? Asking because infidelity is so common in pop culture but it's so difficult for me to imagine ever doing it. I'm not trying to judge (even though I do think it is an awful & cruel thing to do in 99% of cases), but I am genuinely curious about how and why, especially in cases where it can't be justified, so like, not because of an abusive relationship you can't leave or something. Feel free to send me an anonymous ask about it.

"Is that so?" Sylva asked softly, moving to her son's side. She gently lifted a hand, placing it against his chest. There is silence for a moment before she gives him a smile, her hand drifting up to stroke his cheek. "I am very glad to tell you, in my expert opinion, that you do have a heart. Those that aren't close to you do not have the privelage to know how big of a heart it is. It's their loss, Ravus."

Breathless, sweat-soaked, and feeling as if he had been doused in a river of blood not his own, Ravus let his sword drop carelessly. Exhaustion hung heavy in his expression; he was only human.

But the praise... It did much to lift his spirits, earning a small smile in return. Praise did not often come to him, after all.

“Of course!” Ardyn called back, “I think we all need a little positive reinforcement in such times. And you’ve improved greatly!”

He began to wipe the blood and scourge off his own weapons. Having to deal with bandits in the long dark was possibly the most annoying. It seems the world would never be lacking in someone taking advantage of a bad situation.

“I think we’ve earned a properly hot bath once we return to Lestallum!” He added, “and maybe some flatbread and skewers.”
