Cigarette holder held aloft, the cigarette burning an elegant spiral of smoke, Zelda surveyed the young man before her. Though, of course, as was very much typical of Hell, he wasn't exactly a boy. In fact, his age advantage over Sabrina was large even by witch standards. Zelda had enjoyed her time with a lover older than herself in the past, but this was more than a mere few centuries.

"Married." It came out more a statement than a question, though there was a demand to the word regardless. "Don't you think she's rather young for such a commitment?" Sabrina Morningstar may not be the Sabrina that had remained in the mortal realm, and she may very well have committed herself to Hell and her paternal family, but she was still her niece and, more importantly, she was still a sixteen year old child, Queen of Hell or not, and marriage was not something to be jumped into like a passing hobby.

"Well?" She challenged, awaiting an answer. "Does time in Hell now move at an accelerated rate or is this whole charade as rushed as it appears?"

the protective one

it does not require much for you to take someone under your wing. you have a knack for seeing the best in others and rooting for them, and they look up to you in turn. they feel that you are safe to go to in times of chaos or strife, and are calmed by your presence. you take extra measures to make sure everyone feels supported. things that others might not even consider, you have already likely accounted for. in most scenarios, you are "the leader." your struggles tend to come from your desire to provide things to others. you want to give, to see those you love happy, to make wherever you are a place of comfort. your failures hit you hard because you see this as your responsibility, and you hate to let people down. ...okay, yes, there's no avoiding it: this is the parent friend.

"I just don't get it," Sabrina admitted with a shrug. "I mean, you tried to kill us, I mean, okay there was that moment when you made that weird offer, the, y'know, the marriage arrangement one, but..." Sabrina scrunched her face up in confusion. She just didn't get what Sabrina Morningstar was thinking even talking to Caliban, let alone marrying them. She and Sabrina might have started off as the same person, but they were clearly so different now. "...I can't believe Sabrina took it seriously. What did she actually do? Go and get you out of the rock? Just randomly decided she wanted to talk to you and then, suddenly it's Rom Com time in Hell?"

Sabrina mashed her lips into a line, not entirely sure of her reason for coming down to visit the clay prince in his little abode in hell. Another hundred years without seeing a single being might teach him a lesson, but Lilith’s recent advice was correct: he is useful. 

The newly crowned Morningstar narrowed her eyes at him. “You did try to trick and trap me for eternity inside a pillar while you turned the mortal realm into a continuation of Hell. And would that Judas kiss have even worked?” She posed the question with a rhetorical lilt, “or I would have ruined a very hard to patch up friendship with my mortal friends?”

Crossing her arms, her hip juts out slightly. He’s shorter confined in this prison than standing next to her. Some might call him looming, but Sabrina didn’t feel dwarfed or imposed upon by his height. 

“But you did take those lashings for me . . . and that was a kindness.” As was helping Roz, even if he was fickle in doing it. “So I will give you a chance: be my guide my first tour of the realms.”
