ONE MAN, ONE STORY AND MULTIPLE INSTRUMENTS
When we hear the word “BAND” the picture that is formed in our mind is of a group about five to six people (or more) and multiple instruments. But have you ever thought or imagined a single person playing all the instruments all by himself/herself? No, I am not kidding! I am serious. There is an existing term for it known as “One Man Band”. One man band is a person that plays several different instruments at the same time using their hands, feet, limbs and many mechanical or electronic contraptions. Some one-man bands sing while they play several instruments. One of the most commonly seen types of a one-man band is a person who sings and plays the guitar and a harmonica that is mounted in a metal “Harp rack” below the mouth. And as the level of one-man-band gets higher the more complicated it gets i.e. the number of instruments that the musician has to play will increase. The instruments can be wind instruments that will be strapped around the musicians neck, a large bass drum that will be on the musicians back along with a beater which will be connected to a foot pedal, cymbals strapped in between the knees or will be triggered by a pedal mechanism, tambourines and maracas tied to the limbs and a string instrument like Banjo, Ukulele or a guitar that will be strapped over the shoulders. When we talk about India there is an only one-man band who is still in practice.
Gladson Peter
Tumblr media
Belonging to Maharashtra, Gladson Peter is one of the one man bands Mumbai. He performs to spread awareness about the dangers of smoking. As a teenager, he lost a part of one of his lungs. But know he plays thirteen instruments using a kit which weighs around twenty-five kilograms. He plays the Ukulele while blowing a Harmonica and smashing a cymbal with his foot. With an ability to play about forty-five instruments he claims to be India’s only one-man-band. Peter plays covers of the songs of Ed Sheeran. If you want to hire instrumentalist then you can book this one-man-band for great entertainment. Peter said to AFP that “My shows are the hook through which I share my message that can change someone’s life. Many people have come up to me and apologized for tobacco consumption and have quit smoking”. He thought that he could never play wind instruments again. After that, he decided to form a one man bands Mumbai, and played eleven instruments as a part of his anti-smoking awareness campaign. He has played in more than two hundred concerts in India.

6 Most Difficult Instruments To Learn
Tumblr media
Do you love music? Of course, you do. Everyone likes music, some likes loud music, some likes melodious music. Whenever we are sad or bored, music easily changes our mood but playing music is not as easy as it sounds. Most of the musical instruments are extremely difficult to play. They require lots of practice and effort to learn them. Here we will see some of the most difficult instruments to learn. If you want to listen to melodious music, you can book instrumentalist online.
1.Saxophone- This instrument is made up of brass and played with a single-reed mouthpiece. The most difficult part to play the saxophone is to control the pitch of voice. The player covers holes by pressing mechanical keys, triggering a system of pads, pivot, and linkages. If you truly want to learn it, You have to make a commitment to yourself that you will practice at least 4-5 hours a day.
Saxo Jogi is a professional saxophone player in India. Jogi is an efficient performer in both Bollywood and Hollywood retro melodies. He has 38 years of experience in playing the saxophone.
2. Violin- The violin is popular in creating melodious sounds and is also known as a fiddle. It needs a high concentration and precision from you.  Most of the professionals you see on stage do practice since childhood. Don’t worry, if you practice with full focus you can achieve your goal.
Abhijit Mazumdar is a professional violin player from the financial capital, Mumbai. He plays the music with efficiently that you will say “The music is in his blood”.
3. Guitar- If you want to learn basic guitar, Guitar probably isn’t the hardest instrument to play but it is not easy either. Everything takes time and if you want to recognize yourself as a professional guitar player, you will have to work for at least 8-9 hours a day. The basic guitar isn’t difficult but if you want to go beyond that you have to practice more.
4. Piano- The piano is the best instrument to play in the beginning, on the other hand, hardest to be master in the end. It is because if you press a key in a piano it sounds perfect but it becomes difficult when you try to develop a more advanced piano playing level. To play the piano well, you have to use both your hands simultaneously.  Being a piano player, it's the hardest task to focus on notes and piano keys. As you know ‘Practise makes the man perfect’ so do the practice.
5. Flute- It looks like an ordinary musical instrument, but actually, a flute is the most difficult instrument to play and be a master in it takes a lot of effort. For this instrument, you have to control your breath to create music.
Milind Date is a flute player from Pune, Maharashtra. He can spell over the audience through his performance. Milind Date traveled to South Korea, performed in over 500 concerts and won many awards.
6. Musical Keyboard- A musical keyboard is a combination of large and small keys on a keyboard and repeats at the interval of an octave. If you know, how to play the piano, it will become easy for you to play a musical keyboard. To be a keyboard player is not a big deal if you do practice at least 5- 6 hours a day.
