I really adore the golden-white wedding theme colors. Thanks for making my (and Alex's) dream come true. My babies deserve each other. Hopefully one day, I will write a fanfic about it since it's hard to imagine Nik getting married, but she changed him. After several challenges and difficulties to face... They'll find each other. It'll be a long journey for her to become his Mrs. Ryder.

Knock, Knock

Dearest Tumblrs,

I know I have been MIA for the longest of times, but I haven’t left y’all yet. My father died 46 days ago. I’m still processing that, still getting used to the presence of his absence. I have spent the majority of 2024 caring for two parents while holding down a full-time job; differentiating between sickness and illness, conditions and diseases, and watching a loved one fall into an invincible decline and eventually succumb to the inevitable.

I have never experienced profound loss before, and it is a hurt unlike any other I have ever experienced. I thought because I was there, I saw it unfolding in real time 24/7 that I would be prepared when the time came.

I was not. I never was.

I’m still grieving, still reeling from the sucker-punch that is death, still tiptoeing around a landmine of emotions, all while being a productive employee and dutiful daughter and caretaker to my remaining parent.

I don’t sleep well (and haven’t for over a year), listening for bumps and cries in the night and waiting to hear my name called because I’m needed. I don’t go out unless it’s to run errands: grocery store, car maintenance, pick up prescriptions. I spend 9 hours at a paid job (forgoing my lunch hour so I can come home and make beds, empty commodes, and fix lunch for my mom; before dad’s decline got too bad, I fed them both).

There’s laundry to wash, dry, fold; bathrooms to clean, floors to mop, rooms to sweep and vacuum, meals to cook. Mail and packages have to be both sent out and brought in. And since dad left, I have to take care of what is left of his business as well as get help with keeping the house standing. The furnace had to be replaced; there was a gas leak and piping had to be repaired and restored. The main sewer line was clogged and had to be cleared. I still need to find a reliable yard person to rake and bag the leaves.

 I’m strong because I have to be, not because I want to be.

During all of this, dealing with reality and life, all I wanted to do was write. To lose myself in worlds I create, to detach myself from transition and death and ever-mounting bills. My head is filled constantly with thoughts, ideas, and dialogue; perhaps now I may be able to find/make time and have more focus to get back to what calms me, what I feel I do well, and makes me happy.

I have so many stories to finish (my masterlist is a huge pile of incompletes) and start, but these are the stories and AUs in the works:

Babylon—Dolos: The Homeland AU dealing with international current events

Babylon—Belly of the Beast: The Homeland AU fictionalizing the 2024 election

 Watercoolers and Coffeepots—the DC AU gang’s take on the 2024 election within the workplace

Sex and the Middle-Aged Divorcee—what’s it like being a 54-year-old woman in the world of online dating

Single—UnRomance is back with a follow-up to this storyline

Tuesday’s Child—an OC-centric story about a family whose patriarch is dying (any similarities between my family (or yours) is purely coincidental

Hospital Lost—a medical drama AU drawn largely on St. Elsewhere, ER, and Grey’s Anatomy which will be a crossover cluster. Imagine Open Heart with focus on emergency room patients and a lot more staff

I feel it’s only fair to warn you that I’ve decided to give up creative writing for writing creatively; if my writing reads/feels differently, this is the reason why.

This is all I have for now, but hopefully I will be back soon. Since I have ZERO idea who’s left, tagging the few I know are still active in the TRR/TRH/TRF sub-fandom. Feel free to let me know if you want on or off the taglist.

Royal Christmas

Liam looks at the decorated tree and smiles “This is amazing”

“Dada!”

He looks over and sees his 2 year daughter Angel toddling towards him ornament in hand

He chuckles as he lifts her up and puts her near a branch “There you go my little princess”

Angel puts the ornament on and claps her hands “Yay!”

He kisses her on the cheek “Thanks for your help you love our Christmas tree”

“Ya!”

“I’m glad I know your mother would love it too can’t wait till she gets back and sees this”

“Juicy!”

Liam chuckles “Ok let’s get you some juice” He leads her to the kitchen and opens the fridge “What would you like” Angel thinks for a moment then points “The orange juice excellent choice” He sits her on the table and pours juice into her cup “Here you are your highness”

“Yay!” She takes the juice and shoves into her mouth

“Whoa!” He stops her then guides her cup slowly to her mouth “Slowly we changed your clothes once today”

“Sowy dada”

“It’s ok my princess now are you ready for Christmas and to open your presents”

“Ya!”

“Good Santa left many gifts under the tree and so did Daddy and Mommy and Uncle Drake Hana Maxwell and”

“Yay!” Angel throws her arms around him “Wub you dada”

He sighs tears coming to his eyes as he returns the embrace “I love you too my princess”

“Dada sad?”

“No sweetheart I just love you so much so glad you’re here with me”

“Aww look at my two favorite people”

Liam turns around and sees Riley standing there looking at them

“Mama!”

“Hi baby how are you”

Angel throws her arms up “Whee!”

Riley giggles “That’s good to hear” She kisses her cheek then turns to Liam “I see you’re having fun”

“Well I was just getting her juice and getting her excited for the holiday season”

“She sure is and so am I can’t wait to see what you’ve got planned for this year can’t I get a hint”

“Nope it’s a secret my love” He kisses her forehead

“Well ok can I at least see the tree”

“Right this way my queen” He takes Angel in his arms and walks to the Christmas tree

Riley grins “Liam this is amazing you out do yourself every year”

“That look on your face well worth it and this year I got some traditions I know you’ll love”

“Can we build gingerbread houses too?”

Liam chuckles “I didn’t forget about that we’re gonna do that every year”

Riley grins “I love it Liam”

“But you know the best part”

“What’s that Liam”

He wraps his arm around her waist pulling her closer “Spending the holidays with my two favorite girls”

“Aww Liam I love you”

“I love you too and your family is flying in right?”

“Yup mom and dad are boarding the next flight”

“Great this is gonna be an amazing Christmas”

He kisses her deeply “I love you”

“I love you too”

“Wub you too!”

They both laughs “We love you to cutie”

He tilted his head, bringing our lips even closer together. "I shouldn't have come here."

I knew why he acted the way he did when Plague took over. He was protecting me, attempting to stop her from using our love for each other to hurt me, and himself. If you push everyone away they can't be used against you and your attachment to them can't be used as some sick punishment. Knowing didn't stop it from breaking my heart, though.

He had once told me he was sorry if he'd ever hurt me, how he didn't know any other way. But he did. He had proved it to me for ten years.

"But you did," I replied with a relieved smile, just before his lips covered mine.

On their honeymoon... MC praised her King on his physique❤️‍🔥✨️...Liam explained, "A King should be strong to defend his kingdom... and his Queen."

Bringing Sexy Back (Bratwurst Challenge)

Soooo, @charlotteg234 issued a challenge to use the word bratwurst in a sexy, smutty but non-cringey way. Tossing my hat in the ring, but posting separately because I broke Rule #1 of the challenge. (I'm a rebel)

Using UnRomance Liam x Riley, and it's not full-blown lemons ... more lemon-scented than anything, but just in case ... NSFW.

Dribble (less than 300 words so it's a quick read) is below the cut.

The tines of the fork spear through the plump pan-fried sausage before Liam holds it aloft, outlining the shape of my lips with the grease-splattered meat. We are both naked at the dining-room table; Liam sits in his chair, and I am straddling his lap.

The apartment is silent; we aren’t holding a conversation, the television isn’t turned on, and our phones are powered off.

It’s dinnertime.

He pushes the meat against my closed lips as our gazes lock.

“Open up, Riley.” Liam’s urging, uttered in a neutral tone, breaks the quiet.

Dutifully, I part my lips to allow the meat entry.

“Bite,” Liam instructs.

I do as he says, and taste juices and spice cover my tongue.

He sets the fork down on the plate as his arms pull me closer to him. My erect nipples press painfully against his broad chest. I feel his erection twitch against the inside of my thigh.

“You like that?” he asks as his eyes dart between my eyes, lips, and cleavage.

I say nothing; I am distracted by the pooling in my center.

His arms wrap around me as he shifts in the seat; my eyes close in pleasure and relief when I feel his manhood invade my sex. He leans forward, his teeth scraping my earlobe as he whispers into my ear.

“I asked if you liked my bratwurst, Riley.”

“Yes,” I breathe against the side of his neck.

When I joined this fandom I wasn’t sure if anyone would pay attention to my stories main reason why I put a simple username lol. But when it started getting attention and more people started following and giving me some amazing comments it really keeps me going. I thank each and everyone of the writers here for that.

I’m glad I can share stories with some amazing writers here I love coming on Tumblr and reading them over and over again and reblogging them. There’s so many inspirational writers here can’t name them all but all of you I’m giving all some love it’s because of amazing people in the fandom that gives us inspiration each day. You guys are all blessed and wonderfully made and may your works grow higher and bigger. Glad to know such amazing people here.
