"Hey." Minerva said, carrying a letter and a pair of masks. "Something came in the mail for us. It's from Kitakami."

"Aya!" Mint excitedly pointed out, smiling. Minerva gave a nod and gently set the Zoroark masks on the table before reading off the note that they had appeared with.

“Hello friend! You've been invited to this year's Mask Festival! The event takes place at Kokochiyoi Village, the largest village in Kitakami! Come join us for food, games, fireworks, and of course-”

Oh? Halfway through the letter, the handwriting changes.

“Hello there!! It's me, Kenji! Aya really wanted me to invite some of her friends to the festival this year, so I thought I'd send you an official invitation! I also made you a couple masks with the help of a close family friend! If you're a feral or anthro, wearing them'll give you a gijinka form! Don't worry- you won't actually turn into one! It's just an illusion that only works on the villagers, so they won't freak out when they see you. If you'd like to bring a different mask but still want the illusion powers, just take the bells off the masks and onto your own!

Aya, me, and my husbands all hope to see you soon!”

"Oh I am so in!" Mint states with a grin, before quickly looking around herself. "You guys wanna come too?"

"Can't. I've gotta rest up from having a tree thrown at me." Mint sheepishly rubbed the back of her head at that comment. She might've gone a bit overboard in the sparring match.

"As much as I'd like to, someone has to be here to greet any guests, both those kind, and not so much." She wordlessly created a multicolored flame in her palm before she closed her hand around it, extinguishing the embers. "Especially since we've already got a good chunk of the Guild out on assignments." She looked over to Clover, running around the room preparing an extra round of equipment just in case, and Silas, who was watching all of this with a calm smile. "Maybe you two would like to join her?"

"I'm pretty sure I'm about hit a breakthrough on my research into something I'm working on with Maize, so I'm gonna have to pass on that." Silas stated, stretching out her hooves.

"Incredible. You two working together on something all by yourselves." Ashen joked with a small chuckle. "Maybe you can tell us about it when you're done." Silas answered the offer with an excited nod of her head. They were all in on the playful rivalry that she shared with the Luxio. "Why don't you join Mint, Clover?"

"Are you sure? What if you guys need help here-" Minerva cut her off with a gentle tap.

"We'll be fine, don't worry." Clover looked up at the Indeedee, one of her large ears twitching. "I think it'd be good for you to get out with Mint for a bit and enjoy your time in Kitakami." She turned her gaze back to Mint who gave an excited nod.

"Alright!" Clover said, accepting the offer. "Why don't you come with us?" She asked the Vulpix, who for showing near no emotion up to now, seemed genuinely surprised.

"Wait, hold on a second-" they began, looking at the rest of the group. "I have.. um. Things, to do here. Yes, very important things."

"C'mon, you and I both know you've just been spending most of the time in the infirmary, both on the bed, and helping out here." Mint said with a small grin."

"I... You know what, alright. I'll join you. Just give me a moment to put together my form." They left the room, taking the Unovan Zoroark mask with them. Clover meanwhile, bounced the Hisuian Zoroark mask onto her face.

Mint decided to bust out a mask she made a few months ago in preparation for this. It looked like it combined traits from Latios and Latias, with a green hue instead of red or blue.

The three were now in the forests, wearing their respective outfits. The colorless of the three of them looked at their own outfit, one they crafted themselves out of data after seeing Mint and Clover in their own outfits, with the help of the bell of course.

"I probably could've done a bit better with mine." They admitted quietly.

"Yea, probably. Don't worry, I'm sure nobody will mind!" Mint said, with Clover giving their back an open-palm slap. One that nearly knocked them off their feet.

"Ghh!" They quickly regained their balance and turned to look at the small Pokemon, shocked by the fact they were three times as strong as any other Azurill. "Huge Power, huh?" They muttered, continuing to walk.

"Hm?"

"Pokémon have special abilities that help them in battle. Yours is one called Huge Power, which doubles your physical strength. Which is why you can hit me with the force of an Azurill three times your level."

"Oh, sorry." Clover said, laughing a bit. The middle of the group just took the whole thing in stride, especially since they were still on the fence about coming here. But it was too late to back out now, with them having already arrived in the region.

Mint, Clover, and the unnamed Pokemon have arrived in Kitakami!

Welcome, everyone, to the Rutaceae Pokemon Research Laboratory Official Rotomblr. My thats a long title. My name is Professor Lania Floraneal, but my friends call me Lani. Just Prof. Floraneal is fine in professional settings, however.

Here we study the interactions between grass type pokemon and humans(Floraneal), with a similar related focus on how flora and weather affects this topic(Floraneal, Neon-Day). (Research Assistant Larissa Lemonaide also offers various educational matters, which you can ask about if interested) We are located in southern galar, though Linny Alex and Larissa Lemonaide are from paldea, and Assist. Alex will be returning to Naranja-Uva Academy shortly for the next semester, to join me in being a professor. Assist. Lemonaide is working on getting a certification for researching the ways different pokemon learn, and how it is different or similar to how humans learn(primarily grass-types)

Pokemon Legends Mustafa - Endeavor in the initial stages of his redemption arc starts questioning how he treated his family and turns to see the family's elderly Indeedee, who helped look after him as a little boy, giving him a long stare radiating "I am not angry, I am just so disappointed"....

God imagine being Endeavor with an Indeedee or a Haternee in the house.

I apologize in advance for the ask, but I want to know what you think of Mob Psycho characters as sync pairs units in Pokemon Masters.

Would you make Mob super support or a unit that can solo everything like SST Red? And what would be their partner Pokemon? You can use Paldea Pokemon if you want to.

What about Reigen, Ritsu, Teru, Dimple, Serizawa, and Shou? I like to think Teru has speed-oriented multipliers like Ramming Speed or Inertia, and Power Play on the grid because it suits him, he also can have Endurance+Unyielding. Shou has 4 bar attacks because his combat style is more of recharging and attacking with a huge blow.

I like to think Telepathy Club members all have Ultra Beasts as their partner Pokemon, because of their alien-related activities. Takenaka in particular I think might have Blacephalon, with Mind Blown and some Standfast on passive and grids (or make him something like Hugh just for fun).

What are your ideas? I would like to know what you think!

No need to apologize. I'll be honest, I've never really thought about this before so I'm going to try my best to wing it here.

Mob As much as support initially makes sense given his focus, I'm more inclined to say Tech with good support capabilities, terrible DPS, but explosive nuke. His emphasis is on helping others and avoiding using his powers to fight, but his whole thing is that he's also like...unquestionably the strongest. So I think that style of Tech nuke makes the most sense.

As for what he'd be partnered with, I'd say something Psychic-type makes the most sense. While I am obviously somewhat biased, I think Mesprit makes a ton of sense for him. Emotions are a huge component of his powers, and understanding them a major part of his arc. I think it'd be a really cute partnership, especially for like...after the series, you know?

Ritsu Ritsu's a bit tougher. I think as much as he wanted to be strong like Mob, Ritsu's much more support-aligned overall, given his ultimate role as the little brother Mob can tell anything to. I'd say maybe emphasize support, in a way that complements what Mob needs and make them kind of a set. I'm almost thinking he, Mob, and Teru would get all the Lake Trio, with Ritsu having Uxie as the super smart kid, and Teru having willpower. But that's (1) super biased, and (2) cheating. So as a backup...okay, I was scrolling the list of Psychic-types, saw Indeedee, and was like "that one because of the maid outfit," but I'll be serious about it. At first I wanted to say Bastiodon because of the protectiveness thing, but maybe Hisuian Arcanine because of the loyalty thing.

Reigen Reigen's decisively support, and I'm gonna say Kecleon. His playstyle would focus on broad defensive support, since that's like...a big thing with him. Kecleon works thematically because of the whole type change thing, which I think connects with Reigen's general tendency to blend in with the psychic crowd, and adaptability. Also, Mystery Dungeon nod.

Teru I consulted the wife about this one, and she said Ceruledge. It fits, I think. He's a little shit, but not a bad person, and Ceruledge is still a knight-themed Pokemon so there's at least an angle of protection there. I do like your ideas for playstyle, so definitely Tech with some debuffing focus and Power Play. Maybe emphasize offense debuffing? He does try to stop Ritsu going down the path he does in Season 1, and is focused on trying to stop Mob during the final arc. Endure with healing on Bitter Blade would be pretty great too.

Dimple So my first impulse was Rotom, as the only Ghost-type that actively possesses things, but that's objects not people. So then I was like Gholdengo because of God Dimple, but that's fairly superficial, if funny. But then I thought...maybe Banette. Curse doll that becomes your friend when you treat it well? That seems more character thematic. In any event, I think Tech, in the style of strong DPS and team-related buffs. Like how you have Masked Royal buffing speed for the team. That kinda thing. I think given his ability to kinda store up power, that he'd be able to do stacks of moves up next or supereffective up next. Also maybe a Hugh-like passive where he recovers HP after his first death. For reasons.

Serizawa Another I had to consult the wife on. She said something like Audino that's focused on healing, and that seems good. Though I'd like to push for Striker. I know that's a little bizarre but hear me out. Serizawa is the one in need of support, not necessarily providing it, and mega evolution that changes typing to Fairy feels like a thematically appropriate transition. Though I would also like to contribute, he gets an alt that has a pre-evolution that doesn't evolve, and it's Sobble. It is his baby and he loves his precious anxiety lizard.

Shou We agreed immediately that he'd be a Fire-type. I'm going to throw out Infernape, because I feel like it has the highest "I'm the main character" vibe. That was apparently a thing? His design was supposed to look like a standard shonen protagonist? Blast Burn is a thing. Pure striker. Probably has one of those trainer moves that caps offenses instantly.

Tome Okay, love the idea of Ultra Beasts, but also: Beheeyem. It's a literal alien. Designed off all the alien stereotypes. It feels perfect. 100% striker. I want it to Dynamax.

Body Improvement Club I can't remember all their names but they all get the super muscle Fighting types. Onigawara gets Pangoro 100%. Goda's support because he's such a bro, and my wife says Machamp which is fine. The blue-haired guy whose name I can't remember is Tech, because apparently he's #2 on tests in the school and is secretly super smart.

some thoughts on sw/sh, now that ive completed it.

starting off with pokemon - as i think the pokemon ARE the most important part of any pokemon game lmao. honestly... i really like a lot of the new pokemon! some are goofy but overall solid lineup

some of my favs are the scorbunny line, the wooloo line, corviknight, cursola, impidimp line, toxitricity, APPLETUN (MY FAV GALAR POKEMON!), indeedee, and of course snom

i love the galarian zigzagoon, yamask, and ponyta lines and i daresay like them more than their og designs

gigantamax forms are either hilarious are terrifying. my favs are lapras, toxtricity, and garbador

the wild area was a Ton of fun, probably spent the most time there

i love camping and cooking. im full time pokemon chef now

the towns were beautiful and really accomplished a sense of both pokemon and people living in them, maybe for the first time

unfortunately i hope you like gyms because theyre the only thing of note in all the towns. the wild area almost makes up for the shitty routes. my friend chika made a great point how there needed to be more towns to decompress like solaceon in dppt, more in-route attractions like the abandoned ship in oras. theres really nothing to remember in swsh besides the wild areas

pacing was terrible, id argue even worse than xy lol

idk why tackling the climax after the 8th gym bothered me so much. maybe because “oh no wild pokemon are dynamaxing” was brought up a few times but the player doesnt get to tackle that obstacle or even see it, making me..... not care. leons like “just take on the gym challenge and let me handle it :D” nooo let US experience it

im glad at least there was a.... somewhat bad force because team yell is the worst. i dont think they even really count as an evil team. i admit at the very beginning i thought rose was gonna be much more malicious until we saw him in his dilf outfit

i liked the eternatus battle, but there couldve been a better buildup w/ the two wolves

postgame was boring, but brownie points for depicting royalty as annoying

characters are good, but not as good as the ones in b/w or s/m

i like the pokemon and majority of characters but iffy on everything else. i guess ill wait until the dust clears and i get to think about the game before ranking it in my mind

I’ve been really into making teams for my D&D characters lately, and I just threw this one together for Levanael. Explanations are as follows:

Indeedee - Rich boy’s gotta take his butler and maid with him everywhere he goes lol

Spritzee - In times before perfume people in high society would have spritzees with scents they liked accompany them. Lev in canon is known to wear perfumes, so this makes sense.

Furfrou - Poodle. All the fancy haircuts. Lev is all about decorating himself, so in some ways he would treat Furfrou like a living accessory (though he’d never mistreat it or treat it like an object, he’d just have it out with him to add to his look)

Gardevoir - Has that High Society/Royal Ball look to it, especially in its mega evolution. If everyone refuses to dance with the tiefling at a fancy party, fine, he brought his own partner lol

Carbink - This one’s got a bit more story to it. I considered giving him a Diancie.

But decided against giving him a mythical pokemon. So instead I made it a sort of personal quest of his. He wants to obtain a Diancie as a sort of status symbol, believing that if he had one none of the other nobles would be able to look down on him or deny his place among them. So far all he’s found are Carbink, one of which took a shine to him. While it wasn’t what he wanted, he decided to keep it as a sort of consolation prize, and has since come to love and treasure it quite a bit. He keeps it very well polished.

He will one day find Diancie, but by then he will have grown enough as a person to decide not to catch it. He’ll have realized there is no status symbol that would make those people accept and respect him, and that he should instead focus on being the kind of person who deserves such status. So basically his usual character arc just with pokemon.

This is actually a great idea! So Trainer!AU Cipher would definitely be a Psychic type specialist (but of course would make use of a variety of other types) I would imagine his sort of story arc would be similar to Wally from ORAS wherein at first he's a naive and inexperienced battler who would later become a Pokemon champion that chose to travel to other regions instead of becoming a gym leader. His main team would be something like:

Jirachi (He's gonna befriend a legendary later in his travels)

Meowstic

Hatterene
