Lately I've been reading/playing "I Wani Hug That Gator!" It's a western "romance" visual novel, with choices that will impact how the MC and the female love interest evolve throughout their high school senior year. It's really damn good; that title do be right, I do Wani Hug the Gator!

To summarise the plot, you play as Inco G. Nito, a human high schooler from the far far past of 201M2023 BC who just moved to a city full of dinosaurs and enrolled in a school renowned for its artist student body. There, you learn to open up and make friends, including Olivia, the titular gator, a disabled girl, as withdrawn as she is artistically talented. Will you manage to get her to open up to you, and have a memorable last year of high school?

The bad endings (one of which I got on my first try) are frankly heartbreaking, but it goes to show the quality of the writing..... You end up caring about the characters a lot, and the reactions characters have to one another are very realistic in how unintentionally hurtful they can be, but there's also lots of silly positive moments.

I'm omw to the good endings, though! It's a really sweet game. Perhaps 4chan VNs are not a lost art....
