something very freeing abt posting incest ship art on main instead of putting up a facade of neutrality on the whole thing. i am a weirdo and play w weird shit in a fiction and i no longer care what ppl think about it ^.^
#incest shipping is fun and cathartic and makes me happy#specifically bcs it can be so fucked up#and ppl who get rlly angry abt it r silly. imo. bcs it has never been that big of a deal#shipping incest hurts nobody and helps heal the hurt ive experienced. and some ppl will never get that and thats fine#art impacts us all in different ways. and we all express ourselves differently#and if it makes you uncomfortable or upset you can see yourself out i have no issue w that and i wish you well

my fics in a decade
I wanted to look back on what Iāve written and how much I progressed, so a self-rating, self-ranking of my own fics is in order.
Super cool, Iām proud of them
So the first category is the fics that Iām proud of and I think they did well in their own little niche.
From the Worldās EndĀ (Loki tv) Sylvie-centric gen, written for MFD
Tell Me My NameĀ (Loki tv) Sylvie/Hunter-B15, written for MFD
Love is YellowĀ (Life is Strange: True Colors) Alex/Ryan & Alex/Steph, written for my own challenge Iām gonna fail otherwise :D So the thing here is that this Christmas I got a buttload of fresh games as a present, and I managed to get obsessed with a lot of stuff. TC is special in my heart because itās about grief and it really helped me, it was very cathartic and this fic helped me get back into my writing grooves. (Which btw vastly improved, I promise!)
Please Ignore the Fear DemonĀ (Charmed 2018) Macy-centric gen, written for ToT, one of my worst challenge experiences, my recip was not only a serial non-commenter, they had a locked letter, prompts that were contradictory (only romance prompts for siblings but no inclination for incest), and they didnāt even reply to the mod who I reached out to. I guess the challenge participants wanted to be kind with kudos and a lovely comment. It still left me so sour, I havenāt written for a while after this. (Also I get that sometimes people drop off of challenges and thatās okay, but since the letter and prompts and everything, it was clear my recip didnāt want this fandom anymore.)
Moments: (Debris) Bryan/Finola, written for the AU exchange and for my fandom bestie, hithelleth. :) Itās always a treat to be matched to hithelleth.Ā ā„
TeammatesĀ (The Falcon and the Winter Soldier) Bucky & Sam & Zemo, gen, written for MFD, and dear God, this was so hard to keep gen. I really didnāt ship them as an OT3, yeah, right until I started this drabble. I still have the big epic OT3 fic WIP this one inspired, though Iām not so sure Iāll ever finish.
But wait, thereās more...
Pretty decent
Next up are fics that I really like and theyāre still being read even after all this time. (Also Iād love to note that I scream and cry happy tears whenever I see someone reccing these. :D)
Finding Home (Star Wars Sequel Trilogy) Poe/Rey, written for MFD. My first and pretty much last foray into the SW movie fandoms I think. But who knows.
Bad Taste (In Boys) (iZombie) Liv/Ravi
Pain (Star Wars: Jedi: Fallen Order) Trilla-centric gen, written for MFD
Now That Sheās Here (Agents of SHIELD) Bakshi/Jemma, written for Rare Pair Fest, and you guessed it, for hithelleth - I recently re-read this fic, and I was hit by such nostalgia. :D We do know how to pick our rare ships, donāt we?
How to Deal with Haunted Objects: A Helpful Guide by Jenny Mills (Sleepy Hollow TV) Crane/Hawley - Iām utterly devastated how bad the show turned out at the end, and how they kept writing off good characters. Anyway, still one of my cutest fics.
Weāre Not Broken (The Vampire Diaries TV) Elena/Rebekah There was a time when my brain was occupied with nothing but TVD, it was never a perfect show, but it was fun to write for and Elena had to be shipped with every original. HAD TO BE.
You know what? These are pretty niche
They didnāt get a lot of traction but I still love them, and I had to realize at this point that Iām mostly writing the rarest of rare pairs.
Blood and Starlight (The Vampires Diaries TV) Elena/Rebekah
This is How the Story Ends (Once Upon a Time) Ruby/Victor written for Rare Pair Fest - again for a non-commenter or a sock, but at least I enjoyed it.
Love Stories for Dead People (TVD TV) Elena/Klaus - for some reason, this is my only fic translated into Russian. Iām still fucking proud of that. :D
Iāll Be Your Safety (How to Train Your Dragon movies) human!Toothless/Hiccup - Not like it makes it any better that I made Toothless a human cursed into a dragon form (especially that I really rushed this in this particular fic) but you have to understand, in the books Toothless talks like a human being. :D So my brain latched onto this ship. To this day, it still gets kudos, and you know what? You go, people, who ship a dragon with a human. You go.
Pieces of Us (Arrow) Diggle/Felicity/Oliver - my OG OT3, or wait? Was that Klaus/Elena/Elijah? Anyway, this was written for the Rare Ship Swap, and Iām still pissed at how rare this ship was.
Clean Slate (Supernatural) Destiel - this... is so not me. Was a gift fic for a friend.
Just Like You (TVD) Elena/Kol - the shipping goes on even if the characters are dead.
Mirror (TVD) pre-Elena/Elijah - My first ever fic Iāve written in English, and yeah, in some places it shows, itās very dated, but it helped me to find my voice, and experiment with darker themes.
Come and Find Me in the Dark Now (TVD) Elena/Klaus
A Love Story Starring Monsters (TVD) Elena/Klaus - this fic was recced in the same post as Sandrineās and adlybās fics, so I think I just went to heaven when I saw that. Itās a personal accomplishment Iāll always cherish. Also, this was written for the Rare Pair Fest for hithelleth. :)
Why donāt you love me?
The fics that are not bad but somehow they got crickets. (āSomehow,ā I say, when the first fic on the list is the most niche incest ship ever, okay...)
Scarred Heart in Hand (Sleepy Hollow) Abbie/Jenny - yeah, niche incest rare pair
She Belongs to Fairy Tales (Revolution) Charlie/Miles - there was a time, a golden time in fandom when Revolution was a thing. And we all shipped the most glorious ships. Also, admittedly this is only, like, a writing exercise. BTW, did you know someone linked this fic to fanlore??? I am forever immortalized by an incest fic. :D
Scattered Pieces of Who I Am (Revolution) Bass/Charlie/Miles - I really should have written 50k of this.
The Ashes Fell Like Snow (Once Upon a Time) Hook/Emma - what did you say? The fic that contains the most popular canon het ship tanked? Well, it got nominated for a CaptainSwan award iirc, which mildly surprised me, because letās face it I just killed LITERALLY everyone in this fic, while Hook is brainwashed. (I still remember someone on ffnet complaining why I killed all of the characters when I warned for it. OR ASKING for a sequel to write a happy ending.)
The absolute flop, the trash, the garbage fire
Letās face it, not every fic we write is good, and not every fic we write is even readable, especially if weāre not writing in our native language. These are not all bad, but rather unknown fandoms... but thereās nightmare-inducing cringe here.
The Way We Fall (Supernatural) Destiel -Ā Well, itās certainly a fic... It was supposed to be some sad, told backwards story, but something is definitely missing here.
Introduction (The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare) Sebastian/Clary - So this? This is painfully bad. Awful trash. Iām not gonna delete it because I lolād when re-reading it and I can see my progress at least. Itās clumsily translated (with the help of two English teachers lol really, not even kidding), and sometimes the Hungarian just shines through. But anyway, itās also very very very awfully written. The sentence structure, the... I donāt even know. I wrote this sometime when I started COLLEGE. Jesus. Also itās AO3 locked because of the whole CC drama.
Fairy Tales and Nightmares (The Unwritten) Lizzie-centric gen - Now, this is not a bad fic, but look there are only 6 whole fics written for this fandom, this being one. I donāt even think anyone knows about these comics besides the comic nerds.

Yuletide Letter (2017)
Dear Yuletide Writer,
First of all, thank you for taking the time to write me a fic!Ā This is my third year participating in Yuletide, and Iām looking forward to seeing what you come up with. :D
If you have matched with me on one of these small fandoms, I figure chances are pretty good that we share some tastes as well. :D So while Iāve tried to provide at least a bit of commentary for each one, please feel free to ignore all my meandering suggestions if your inspiration takes you in a different direction. Ā :) Ā I feel certain Iāll love whatever you write, either way. <3
I also have no preferences as regards length, tense, or POV -- feel free to write the story however it works best. :)
AO3 name: darkcyan
Requested fandoms:
Shirobako
Mouretsu Pirates | Bodacious Space Pirates
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
Machineries of Empire Series - Yoon Ha Lee Ā
[ hiding the rest under the cut, because as usual, it got long. :) ]
General Preferences:
Yes, Please:
fluff, found family, deep friendships, established relationships, brand new relationships where everyoneās trying to feel their way through, drama if itās not gratuitous or inspired only by misunderstandings, hopeless pining, hopeless pining that turns out to be reciprocated. Ā People already trusting each other, people coming to slowly trust each other.
basically if itās emotionally warm, I will probably love it
and if it hurts but resolves in an emotionally warm place, I will love it while crying
AUs. Ā canon-fork or otherwise. Ā I like it best when the characters still feel ātrueā to their canon personalities, as filtered and changed through the different lens of how the AU differs from canon. Ā For AUs that involve significant worldbuilding (e.g. sci fi AU), feel free to spend as much time as you want on the worldbuilding in addition to the characters.
Actually worldbuilding in general is great if thatās your thing.
Missing scene / other POV / canon continuation fic are also great. (I think what Iām trying to say is I like basically all kinds of fic?)
time travel. is a guilty pleasure of mine. Ā Primarily when used as an excuse to abuse oneās future knowledge to help put the past on a better track (though of course, it wouldnāt be as fun if the changes didnāt start piling up eventually. ;) ) Time travel paradoxes are an interesting thought experiment, but in my fic-reading Iāve got a strong preference for the āeh, changing the past forks the future, donāt worry about it too muchā mode of time travel.
Female characters being their awesome selves.
Happy endings. Ā (Bittersweet is fine too :) )
Shipping is great, queerplatonic relationships are great, deep friendship is great. Ā Relationships are great! (Iāve called out my preferences or lack thereof on a fandom-by-fandom basis below in case it helps. Ā Anywhere I say ārelationshipā, feel free to assume that Iād be just as thrilled by anywhere in the spectrum from āreally good friendsā through āqueerplatonicā to āromanticā)
Humor is good too! Iām usually not terribly interested in true crackfic, but the occasional lighthearted fic ā or a dash of humor in something otherwise dramatic to lighten the mood ā is great.
I feel certain Iām missing a lot, so letās just say that anything thatās not otherwise called out in my maybe/no lists is fair game :D
Maybe:
issuefic (which seems to include things like alternate sexuality / gender headcanons? not 100% sure on the preferred terminology here?) I like my issues to feel organically part of the story rather than being a transparent soapbox, but other than that, I think that sort of story can be really interesting :D Ā This is in the āmaybeā category mostly because I guess thereās a risk that we might not happen to agree on said issue?? But if itās the sort of fic you love to write, go for it! :)
Kidfic. Ā Havenāt really encountered much that interested me, but if you want to, go for it. :)
Please, no:
Onscreen sex. Fade to black or references are fine if you feel itās critical to the characterization / plot, but if weāve gotten to the point where weāre talking about limb positions, my reaction is almost certain to be somewhere between bored and extremely uncomfortable. Ā
(but honestly Iād prefer no sex at all. comes of being both asexual and a prude *shrug*)
Even if itās not explicit or onscreen, please no rape / noncon / dubcon. *eyes list* Do I need to call out āno incestā? I donāt think so? But just in case: no incest either please. :)
Not a huge fan of drug / addiction plots either
Relationships, romantic or otherwise, where thereās a significant power imbalance (especially if itās abused) really bother me, especially if itās played as acceptable.[1] Ā (If the story shows it as deeply problematic and works through the implications, Iāve been known to have an intellectual appreciation for it, but itās still not something I really want to read about.)
Most significant age difference fic falls into this bucket for me. Ā
I also feel pretty strongly about free will and freedom to choose, so āIām taking away your choices by hiding things from you / doing things behind your back For Your Own Goodā narratives mostly just make me want to punch things, no matter how good the supposed justification is on the part of the person doing it. So. Iād recommend avoidance. :)
ā¦ Emotional manipulation in general, to be honest. Ā Especially, again, if itās played as acceptable.
Cheating and other forms of deliberate, sustained dishonesty within a relationship. Ā If the characters are lying to each other, theyād better have a really good reason, and chances are I still wonāt like them quite as much after. Ā [2]
Gratuitous drama. Ā If the drama could be resolved by the characters just sitting down for five minutes and talking to each other, and the only reason they donāt is ~*~reasons~*~, then I start getting really annoyed, really quickly
Plots revolving around jealousy. Ā Itās a human emotion, but I hate it when characters let it eliminate their capacity for rational thought
Anything that uses āthey couldnāt help themselvesā as an excuse for making bad decisions. Like. Iām sure there are exceptions. Ā (Actual mind-control?) But in general my response to that excuse is āYouāre an adult. Ā Act like it.ā
Character bashing. Even the characters I hate are the heroes of their own stories. Ā
Not a huge fan of relentless grimness / Crapsack Worlds. Ā I enjoy some grim sometimes, but I prefer at least an occasional dose of hope with my grimness. I need to have some faith that the ending will be a happy one, or at least cathartically bittersweet.
Related: If I wanted to hear about awful people being awful all the time and how awful everything is as a result, Iād go watch the news. (... Someday I would like this statement to be less true than it was the previous year, instead of more. ;___;) There can be awful people, they can do awful things, but Iād really prefer they not be either the majority or the focus of the story.
[1] BDSM in which said power relationship has been consensually agreed on ahead of time is entirely different, of course. :)
ā¦ But itās also not generally really my thing. :P
[2] For the record, I do not count poly relationships in this bucket at all. Ā All I ask is that everyone whoās involved is aware of and reasonably happy with whatās going on.
Fandoms:
Shirobako
Crunchyroll
Requested character(s): Miyamori Aoi, Yano Erika
Spoiler notes: Iāve watched the show and read the first several chapters of the prequel manga
Preferred pairing(s): gen or Erika/Aoi (side relationships between whatever set of the characters that suits your fancy are fine too - aside from my soft spot for Erika/Aoi I donāt have any strong ship feelings.)
THIS SHOW. Ā I love it to pieces. When I first started watching it, I was in the middle of a bit of a professional crisis of my own (trying to decide whether to change jobs), so this show hit basically all my āI love thisā buttons, from laughing and crying about how well it depicted how hard it is to get a lot of creative people to work together (Iām a programmer, not an animator, but the similarities are pretty scary), to laughing and crying at its depiction of writerās block, to adoring all the little in-jokes it slipped in about anime as a whole (I wish I could remember the name of that harem show ā¦), to loving all the insights into how making an anime actually works, to empathizing like no oneās business with Aoiās insecurity about whether she was āenoughā for the job and whether it was okay to not have everything figure out yet, to Emaās struggles with imposter syndrome, to Misaās angst about whether she should stick with a stable job she knows or try for something more like what she really wanted, to ā¦
just.
THIS SHOW.
I re-watched it last year and was struck all over again by how much I love Erikaās casual mentorship of Aoi; sheās one of my favorite characters, and Iām always sorry to see her disappear and I always cheer when she comes back. Ā
So what Iād really like to see this time is a story that focuses on their relationship. Ā A scenario where Erika helps point Aoi in the right direction? Ā When Aoi realizes Erika needs some support?
During that long gap when Erika is away caring for her father, do she and Aoi still stay in contact? Ā Does Aoi ever come visit? Ā
Iād just love to see more of these characters and their friendship. Ā
(Note: I do low-key ship Erika/Aoi, but I also am pretty iffy about workplace romance, especially in such a small workplace, and Erika especially seems like the sort to be level-headed about that sort of thing. Ā
So if you want to take things in a shippy direction, Iād like to request that it either stays at mutual pining or -- if they decide to make a go of an actual relationship -- actually addresses the workplace romance issue. One of them moves to a different company? idk.
But Iād also be 100% happy to see a fic that is completely gen, if thatās what youād prefer. :) )
(And one final note: Hiraoka. Iām not sure I like him, exactly, but Iāve been uncomfortably close to where he is emotionally, so he gives me lots of complicated feelings. Ā So, if you choose to include him, please be kind?
And if you, too, have dealt with burnout - Erika and Hiraoka had a very interesting conversation at one point that made me think that Erikaās also uncomfortably familiar with it, but has just stabilized in a healthier place. If you wrote a story centered on that Iād probably love you forever, but Iām not sure itās one even Iād be willing to attempt ā¦)
Mouretsu Pirates | Bodacious Space Pirates
Requested character(s): Lynn Lambretta, Jenny Dolittle
Spoiler notes: Iāve watched the show and the movie.
Preferred pairings: Lynn/Jenny
ā¦ Yeah, no, Iām not even going to pretend that Iād be happy with gen when this is an actual canon relationship that is one of the most adorable things Iāve ever seen.
(ā¦ Like, my high-pitched yelling about this pairing almost reaches the level of Uranus/Neptune back in my peak Sailor Moon fan years. Ā ā¦ ā¦ And thatās a lot. XD)
I meannnnn you can do gen if you reallllllly want to. :D Iām sure Iāll still enjoy it. Ā <3
But yeah, insofar as I have OTPs anymore, these two are definitely one of them. XD (And Iām hoping that if youāre offering these two characters, itās because you ship them too. XD)
Ahem. Where was I? Ā
I really enjoy this show in general - itās just so refreshingly, unabashedly fun; a lovely warm show about a bunch of ridiculous, adorable, and really damn competent girls being their awesome selves. (With a handful of fond, long-suffering adults on the side.) (And also piracy.)
And I love Jenny and Lynn in particular because even though theyāre secondary characters, they exemplify this - every interaction Marika has with them, theyāre being their competent, awesome selves, and itās a true treat to watch. Ā
So please give me these two characters being being their badass competent selves. Ā Or give me something adorably fluffy with the two of them doing nothing in particular. Ā Give me them working together and sometimes having to remind each other to take a break and eat or sleep - or give me that year they spent separate, and their wistful pining, wishing they could reach each other through their holographic displays. Ā
(Okay, ngl, I have a special category of high-pitched yelling reserved for that phone conversation!! When Jenny is giving Lynn advice on being president!! And Lynnās wistful-but-fond smile as she hangs up!!!)
In summary, please give me more of these adorable canon lesbians. <3
Star Ocean: Till the End of Time
Requested character(s): Nel Zelpher, Clair Lasbard
Spoiler notes: Iāve played the game and am ~ halfway through the manga and seriously wtf did you do to my favorite character less blushing more badassery for Aprisā sake!
Preferred pairings: Nel/Clair
Speaking of high-pitched yelling on the scale of Uranus/Neptune, I am fairly certain that Nel was my official first ever video game crush. This was a bit difficult for me to explain to myself, as I was convinced I was ~straight at the time, but she was so cool that I didn't bother to think about it in too much detail.
And when we are introduced to Clair as her partner, and every single scene in which the two appear makes it clear how strong their bond is -- it was a foregone conclusion that I would start to ship them as well. And Adray's obnoxious insistence on trying to find a husband for Clair just made me even more determined to headcanon them as lovers (or at the very least secretly pining for each other) in addition to partners.
As I said above with Lynn/Jenny -- if you don't ship them romantically, but just think they're great platonic partners, I'm sure I'll still enjoy it whatever you come up with. But in case thereās any doubt, I also very much ship them. :D <3
And either way, I just love their dynamic -- these two strong-willed, intelligent, fiercely competent women, working towards a shared goal that they both believe is more important than themselves. How deep and unshakeable their trust is -- and how even though it clearly tears Clair apart to send Nel out into a situation that they both know may not be survivable, she'll do it anyway. And Nel will go.
I don't have any specific prompts in mind -- if you want to write about a mission Clair has to send Nel off on, and the tension between their fear for and their trust in each other (and the knowledge hanging over both of them that they're doing something that they see as more important than them both), great! Want to just do fluffy interactions during a brief break from the action (do they get vacation? How many people do they have to bribe to get vacation at the same time?), or after the war is done and things are a bit more settled, go for it. In the narrative path where Nel goes with the party into space, does she think of Clair and all the stories she's going to tell once she gets back (if she gets back)? Ā What does Clair think, being left so much farther behind this time than any other time before? Ā What stories does Nel tell when they're reunited?
Got an idea that's burning in your mind and has nothing to do with any of these? I'm sure I'll enjoy whatever you come up with. :)
Machineries of Empire Series - Yoon Ha LeeĀ
Requested character(s): Kel Cheris, Shuos Alaia
Spoiler notes: Iāve read both Ninefox Gambit and Raven Stratagem, and a decent number of the other vignettes/short stories in the world.Ā If you want to check whether Iāve read a specific story, feel free to shoot me an anon ask. :)
Preferred pairings: Cheris/Alaia
Ah, these books. Ninefox Gambit is one of my favorite books I've read this year, and its sequel, Raven Stratagem, was an entirely worthy follow-up. I'm really looking forwards to how the trilogy concludes in Revenant Gun, but in the meantime: fanfic! :D
I debated what I wanted to request, since there's a lot about this series that I like -- the fact that pretty much all of the characters are competent and Done With Your Shit, the way it sets up a horribly broken system and then doesn't flinch away from both how broken it is, and how the vast majority of people have just ... accustomed themselves to the situation, and make do while tolerating the horrible. It makes the system feel sustainable enough to have lasted this long, while still making it very clear why multiple someones would have gone to so much effort to try and tear it down. And yet, it also doesn't flinch from the consequences of the actions that the various characters take to try and tear it down, either. (One of the many reasons I'm looking forward to Revenant Gun -- I'm very curious to see what the consequences arise from the events in Raven Strategem.)
I really enjoy how many characters are queer (including trans!!), and how casually the narrative treats this fact. And the way that many characters' families are factored into their thoughts, even if they're not on the page, in a way that felt very true, but that I feel like doesn't often come up in other novels that aren't explicitly about something family-related.
The casual inclusion of dyscalculia and ADHD is also pretty great -- how itās clearly an aspect of the characters that have shaped them, while even more clearly not being all their character is.
... So what do I decide to request this year?
Cheris and that one ex-girlfriend of hers who shows up for, like, a paragraph of flashback in Ninefox Gambit. XD
I just ... really liked that little bit of insight we got into Cherisā history, and would love to see more.Ā How did they meet? Why did they break up?Ā What was the actual most ridiculous drama they watched, and how late did they stay up making fun of it?
Feel free to go in a more serious direction as well (what sort of training incident gave Alaia her nervous tic? what is being Shuos like to someone who didnāt go the flashy assassin route? How did being Kel and Shuos inform their interactions with each other, and the world around them).
And, as always, feel free to ignore my prompts entirely if thereās something youād rather do instead. :D

Do the salty ask meme for GoT! Or The Office!!
Salty Ask List
What OTPs in your fandom(s) do you just not get?* Sansa and Littlefinger. No offense to anyone that ships it but I think heās icky and that after years of being used and manipulated by men Sansa deserves something better with someone whose motives are clear and uncomplicated, someone who actually loves her and doesnāt just see her as a useful perk on his mission for power.Ā
Are there any popular fandom OTPs you only BroTP?* Hmm idk about this one. I think that Brienne and Tormund is a popular ship now? If so, I only BroTP that one. I am hardcore Jaime/Brienne trash so I canāt see her with anyone else haha.
Have you ever unfollowed someone over a fandom opinion? Yes, but it wasnāt spiteful. I simply didnāt realize that someone I followed for an awesome gifset was a hardcore shipper of something that I donāt like and posted about it all the time. I just didnāt want it on my dash is all.Ā
Do you have a NoTP in your fandom? Are they a popular OTP?* Oh man. Yes. I do. my NoTP is Jon and Sansa. It used to not be. I used to like it and even understood it watching season 6. I also read some great fanfics by a couple of people I follow. But the fandom recently changed how I feel about it. And the more I think about it the more I think that it would be OOC for Jon. But thatās a personal opinion of course!
Has fandom ever ruined a pairing for you?* See above. Jon and Sansa. Not everyone who ships it is like that. In fact Iāve made good mutual friends with some people who ship it. But the radical ones and/or anti-Dany people were abusive to me and it turned me off of the ship as a whole because I started associating it with those people.Ā
Has fandom ever made you enjoy a pairing you previously hated?* Not really. I donāt hate most pairings. Like I have tried to say above, I am cool with people shipping with that want. If anything, fandoms are usually the problem, not the ships themselves haha.Ā
Is there anything you used to like but canāt stand now?* Not really. I guess the closest thing is that I used to be really into Sansa and Sandor/The Hound but now I primarily ship her with Pod. I realize that this is a 100% crack ship that will never be canon but I have become obsessed with it overnight haha.Ā
Have you received anon hate? What about?* Iāve received anon hate about shipping jonerys. People who claim that itās gross for being incest, or anti-Dany people who claim that she will emasculate Jon or something. Basically nonsense. I also tried to make a meta about similarities between Sansa and Dany explaining why I love them both that really ruffled some feathers and I got some anon hate for that.Ā
Most disliked character(s)? Why? My least favorite characters are obvious ones. Walder Frey (may he rot in hell), Robin Arryn, Joffrey. I actually loved Ramsay because he was a really intriguing and terrifying villain. Plus he was sexy af. Gotta love my confusion about being attracted to an evil sadist. I like Littlefinger as a character even if I donāt like him with Sansa. Like Ramsay, heās a cool villain. Great scheming.Ā
Most disliked arc? Why? Right now, Aryaās. I feel like her storyline with the Faceless Men was really disappointing and anti-climactic. I donāt know how I wanted it to end, but the way it ended was bad, to me. I think that there were lots of plot holes and that after all the buildup, it just should have felt more cathartic. I did like her murder of Walder Frey though.Second place goes to Jaime on the show. I donāt know why he is backsliding like this. I expected him to see through Cersei by now, and that speech he gave Edmure Tully was totally out of character and just really ugly. I feel like heās back to season 1.
Is there an unpopular character you like that the fandom doesnāt? Why? Well apparently the fandom doesnāt like Dany. There are dedicated anti-Dany blogs, and I canāt understand that. I love her. Anyway, she is tied with Jon for my favorite character so I definitely love her despite the hate. I also, like I said above, really liked Ramsay haha. I am not sad he died or anything. I just think he was awesome.Ā
Is there an unpopular arc that you like that the fandom doesnāt? Why? Idk about this. I think some people in the fandom are mad that Sansaās arc changed so drastically from the book. If I am right about that, I donāt agree. I love what D&D did with show Sansa. I am sad that she suffered under Ramsay, but she is stronger for it and I feel like for the first time she is really in charge of her own destiny. She is badass and the queen of the North as far as Iām concerned. Very big improvement over hanging out at the Vale if you ask me.Ā
Unpopular opinion about XXX character? Oh god. This will be very unpopular. I want Jon to take a break from the manbun. I get that people love the manbun. Fuck, I love the manbun. But I miss his flowing locks hahaha.Ā
Unpopular opinion about your fandom? Unpopular opinion? Idk with all the negativity going around, itās probably unpopular to feel positive. So Iāll just say overall I love this fandom. I have met some people through loving Game of Thrones who I consider to be true friends even though we only know each other via tumblr. I love my mutuals, especially my jonerys family.Ā
Unpopular opinion about the manga/show? Idk if this unpopular, but I hate the Sand Snakes on the show. I think most people do? So I guess this isnāt unpopular. Idk I tend to agree with most people haha.Ā
If you could change anything in the show, what would you change? If I could change anything in the show, I would have Aryaās arc go better. Ask me again after season 7. If jonerys doesnāt happen, Iāll say I want to change that haha ;)
Instead of XYZ happening, I would have made ABC happenā¦ Instead of Jaime continuing to follow Cersei, I would have him turn on her in the eleventh hour and reconcile with Tyrion. Cersei is an amazing woman, but sheās got to go. I think it is wildly out of character for Jaime to continue to support her after her political climbing has endangered the lives of their children to the point of their deaths. I just feel that as a character Jaime should have evolved beyond this. He should have wised up before now. He has a good heart. She doesnāt. Oops. Bet THAT is my unpopular opinion.Ā
Does not shipping something āpopularā mean youāre in denial and/or biased? Absolutely not. Shipping something is entirely subjective and based on emotions. If you feel something about a non-canon or crack ship, thatās awesome. It means you think like an individual. Itās only a problem when you try to attack other people/ships out of anger that yours isnāt happening.Ā
What is the one thing you hate most about your fandom? The ship war between J*nsa and jonerys.
What is the purest ship in the fandom? Gendrya. Hands down. Haha.
What are your thoughts on crack ships? They are so much fun! The more the better. I want to write about my secret one one day. It will get no reads but Iāll be happy haha.
Popular character you hate? I donāt hate any characters, especially not popular ones.Ā
Unpopular character you love? Like I said above, Dany, apparently. And Ramsay. Lol.Ā
Would you recommend XXX to a friend? Why or why not? Of course. I force everyone in my life to watch Game of Thrones!
How would you end XXX/Would you change the ending of XXX? My dream ending has Daenerys and Jon falling in love and successfully uniting the kingdoms against the White Walkers. They win the war at the cost of many lives. Kingās Landing is destroyed in the process. It turns out that Dany isnāt barren and they have a child. But when Kingās Landing is being rebuilt, Dany realizes that what she wanted all along wasnāt a throne, it was a family and a place to belong. She thought that meant carrying on her familyās dynastic tradition but knows now that she can be happy with Jon in the North. The Red Keep is rebuilt without an Iron Throne and Tryion establishes a senate with representatives from all seven kingdoms and Essos. I know this wonāt happen. Itās my wish though haha.Ā
Most shippable character? Jon Snow
Least shippable character? Ser PounceĀ
