if i had a nickel for everytime i thought abt the in-universe implications of pokemon roms i put darkrai into, i'd have two nickels

anyway. when dusknoir comes to the past and sees The Human as like. well he's not gonna know who darkrai is but he DOES have eyes and when he sees The Human as this giant shadowy figure of nightmares that towers over the entire treasure town population (excluding ursaring) hanging out with a fucking TREECKO does he burst out laughing in private or does he punch a wall until his hands hurt

#feli speaks #this is the spiritual successor to my dark mono s2 run with darkrai as a starter #in which i run into the Exact Same Issue: darkrai has no fucking low level attacks #which means the biggest difficulty is AP management. bosses are easy w it you can just spam ominous wind #i struggled SO MUCH with the amp plains boss as a kid and darkrai just instakilled all of the eletrike #meanwhile treecko for some reason. levels SO MUCH BETTER than darkrai #darkrai is lv20. treecko is lv21. they both have 80hp #treecko just always gets two of each stat per level and darkrai gets one #so combined with a wider attack repertoire (CAN I PLEASE GET SOME TMS) treecko is just WAY more powerful #which is so fucking funny #the store had a shadow ball tm BEFORE I COULD AFFORD IT #i did not have 6.5k poke in chapter 3. thanks #i do have two energy ball tms. one of which i used on treecko so. treecko gaming
