Thetras (people from planet Xothan) have lots of traditions and I might have made it up, it's CUTE! Axtul is not a thetra in this au but he's still Xothanese!

AU in which Naoya survives, realises his whole clan was murdered and cries loudly on its ruins because he could never imagine something like this happening to him and his own invincible family, and although he hated them all and sometimes even wished them to die he still didn't actually want all of them to die like this, and this massacre greatly affects his whole personality. The very purpose of his entire existence - being the head of the clan - is destroyed, and even if he kills Maki, it still won't bring anything and anyone back. He's no one. He doesn't know how to live further. He tries to commit suicide several times but gives up each time and hates himself for being such a weakling. He doesn't leave Japan when the Culling Game begins because he still wants to make Maki suffer like he did.

He hates people, but he still needs to find Maki, so he joins a small camp, mostly of non-sorcerers. There are a lot of women who don't react to his misogyny at all, and when Naoya notices their gazes full of pity, he realises they gave him meals not because of him being so handsome. Honestly, it's terribly depressing. He hates how they all are crying and complaining constantly about the world falling apart, and he hates being fed with such delicious food out of pity. He's not a damn weakling. He puts the special Zenin's barrier for them that diverts the curses' attention, just so these people stop fucking complaining and crying.

He once had compulsory ballroom dancing lessons three times a week, and he's not entirely sure why he mentions it now. The interlocutor asks with interest to show his skills, and Naoya falls for it because for the first time, they look at him without this damn pity and condescension.

In general, now he is a ballroom dance teacher (also a bit Latino and hip-hop) for non-sorcerers. It becomes his little hobby that distracts from the spiral of revenge, hatred, and depression. Good thing that they have a tape recorder. Some months ago, he couldn’t even dream of such a life in his worst nightmare... but a human is such a creature - (s)he gets used to everything.

- KIMIKO! Raise your leg higher! Reiko, move your hips! I'm a man, and I'm still more feminine than all of you together!!! You son of a bitch, who bends over like that? You want to insult me??

They still don't seem to care about his slurs and insults. They actually laugh at them most of the time. It's insanely annoying, so Naoya doesn't understand how he still didn't cripple anyone. Maybe because they don't actually wish him evil, they don't want to use him or see him dead like... Anyway.

He still needs to kill Maki, but he will never deny himself pleasure and a good life because of anyone.

HC TIME! (+small casual au i made in 5 minutes)

Gordon Freeman (He/Him, Bisexual)

-Older than Felix by 56 minutes and 45 seconds

-Mom passed away when he was 5

-Was left with his dad and his brother, and his dad wasn't the most loving guy

-Despite being twins, Gordon always had more responsibility put on him by his dad than Felix, (even as an adult, which is why he's a substance abuser especially during work hours)

-Now as an adult, he works at Black Mesa where he was picked to help with a major secret test

-Having to deal with all the responsibility, bailing Felix out of trouble and being trusted with a shit load of work, he copes by having a massive ego, "I can handle whatever people decide to drop on me, I'm better and smarter than all of you" then breaks down at night

-Gordon has connections at Black Mesa and is chummy with the higher ups, no matter how snobby he thinks they are

-Realized he was bi a little before his 27th birthday, but he was raised with... A very old fashion way of thinking. (Hes over it now, he doesn't care who dates who except for himself, because... Guilt.)

-his dads death was a mixed bag of emotions, including guilt about who he is, but he doesn't like to talk about it

-Despite feeling guilt, it didn't stop him from dating a guy for a week before backing out and ghosting him.

-although Gordon cannot stand Felix sometimes, he still bails him out of trouble and he hangs out with him after work cause that's really the only person he has at this point (they watch movies or go out for beers)

-has mild paranoia

-Loves pirates, legit has a pirate costume he wears for fun

-sometimes he'll speak like a pirate to annoy Felix

-Gordon likes turtles for some reason, but he doesn't have time for pets right now

-loves sour food/candy, not much of a sweets person

(Causal AU)

The test went without really anything too bad, at the last second, someone turned the machine from 105% back to 100%, the portal didnt malfunction, however it still teleported Gordon to the area with the Vortigaunts and one attacked him, going straight for the face, knocking him over and damaging his eye and parts of his ear, once he teleports back he gets sent to the infirmary and Black Mesa is thrilled at the results Freeman was able to bring back, despite the cost of it.

Felix Freeman (He/Him, Demisexual, Pansexual)

-da younger twin

-has lived in Gordon's shadow basically his whole life (his dad paying more attention to Gordon, even if it was for negative reasons)

-this causes him to act out, even as an adult, getting in trouble at work (the job Gordon got him) by touching stuff he wasnt supposed to or taking things from work

-this, makes him look very childish

-his first week he met Barney and would have lunch with him, not telling him about his brother right away, not wanting to deal with comparisons

-Felix isn't much of a drinker but will go out for drinks with Barney or Gordon once in a while

-Felix is absolutely shit at video games shooter, but he still plays em with Barney sometimes

-is really into conspiracy theories, and especially loves aliens and the idea of alien life in space, he shares this love with Chell

-not much of a pet person but he thinks dogs are cool, mostly Chihuahua's cause Gordon hates them

-he almost set his kitchen on fire once

Barney Calhoun (He/Him, Transmasc, Bisexual)

-Grew up in a Latino household but he still doesn't know Spanish.

-came out as trans at 16, his dad was accepting, his mom not so much. His dad is still learning so he gets stuff wrong sometimes

-he loves planes, he trained to be a pilot but Black Mesa rejected the position and instead offered him a job as a security guard, he half-heartedly accepted but he makes the most outta it.

-he thinks ninjas are really cool and used to have a ninja costume when he was 10

-he was diagnosed with ADHD when he turned 20

-when he was little he had a slight tooth gap, it was barely noticeable so he didn't think he needed braces and refused em, but as he got older the gap got worse and he hates the idea of braced

-he once snuck his switch into work. He got caught instantly.

-he carries his phone and earpods with him everywhere

-his playlist is mostly video games OST and fanmade songs

-definitely has a thing for Gordon (for some reason)

-Barney has interacted with Gordon many times and is under the impression they're on good terms, however, he just so happened to catch Gordon when he was either drunk or high, so Gordon has no idea who Barney is

-was in and out in a lot of foster homes until she was 18

-They didn't get the best education but saw an ad for paid test subjects for a science facility called Aperture Science.

-She met Felix who was applying for the same job, they talked and exchanged numbers in the waiting room. Felix wasn't willing to sign the contract that said Aperture couldn't be held accountable for any injury so the job went to Chell

-Chell moved in with Felix, and they dated for a 2 and a half weeks before Chell realized she wasn't ready for a relationship and Felix realized he barely knew Chell and didn't like them that way

-Chell still lives with Felix and they grow closer everyday

-She knows Aperture and Black Mesa are rivals and they finds it funny how she's not allowed in Black Mesa

-Due to the way she grew up, they have extreme paranoia and intrusive thoughts about other people, she's only really comfortable around Barney, Felix, and rarely Gordon.

-Chell doesn't really get along with Gordon

-Chell loves strawberry flavor sweets

-loves Mountain Dew and drinks it when she needs an energy boost

-They doesn't really like chocolate

-She loves sea creatures, her favorite is angel fish

Chell signed up for Aperture Science's test subjects, she was asleep for around 2 months and then the events of Portal 1 happened, but instead, Doug Rattman was able to save Chell from being dragged back into Aperture by the part escort bots and he took her to a nearby hospital, leaving before she woke up.

Eddie Marlowe (He/Him, Transmasc, Gay)

-Gordon's ex

-he is the "I know a guy" guy

-used to just have a business relationship with Gordon (selling him stuff, and somehow, a human skull) but they hung out and became friends... And then...

-Gordon one day broke up with Eddie after a week of dating and ghosted him, he got played dirty and he never found out why

-he's a college drop out and lives in an apartment

-frequently dyes his hair but his favorite color is green

-he has a hard drive full of pirated shows and movies

-he has a pet bird named Dazzy

-his parents don't know about his... "Job" and think he's a salesman, which is somewhat true

-Eddie isn't a snack person, he prefers big meals

-Eddie is a great cook

I just watched Baby's Day Out after so many days and had so much fun man. Truly a classic. But, I also have an AU, if you please:

AU where Eddie, Veeko and Norby are living in that place trying to get by life.

They weren't roommates because they were friends for years, no, they were just people that met by chance.

Veeko had been the first resident, an ex-military who served in the military so that he could go to college, working in construction in the morning and taking evening classes and then studying again in the evening.

Norby had been the second, having immigrated into the country, but couldn't go to school coz of poverty. So now, he's using his mother's insurance money to go to school in the morning like she would've wanted.

Eddie was the ex criminal, who was put in jail because he ran away with the family dog in childhood and his family pressed kidnapping charges on him, causing him to go to juvie for like six months. Now, he barely talked to any of them and has his dream job.

Suddenly, Eddie's weird, black sheep cousin sister, who he barely knew, but admired, passes away, leaving behind less than one year old twins to be cared for by him, because nobody else steps up for them, so then he does, and he says that they're all assholes for not even pretending to do so.

He brings those kids home, but he doesn't know shit about raising them. He knows he was a handful himself, but he still tries his best as well. Veeko and Norby think he's crazy, bringing these kids home to a total bachelor pad but try to help him out after hearing him out.

They all act indifferent to them, tryna be all manly (in the best way i promise) to their antics.

They all time their things so that someone's always there to take care of the kids, Eddie's there in the morning, having asked for the evening shift as soon as he got the kids in the house.

Veeko comes back in the evening, right after his classes end. Norby also comes back late in the evenings, helping Veeko out, and they take turns, taking care as they both study.

Norby's reading skills get better and better as he reads bedtime stories to the kids, and sure, Veeko and Eddie tease him about his weird pronunciations, but it's just pretense before they'll tell him the actual way the word is said.

All three of them freak out if one of them is sick, or if they gotta get vaccinated, (Norby bawls his eyes out outside the doctor's office, Veeko usually has them on his lap while Eddie distracts them) and they basically just take care of em.

Every baby milestone calls for a party. Soon, Veeko and Norby's family joins in, with Veeko's big, burly brother introducing them to barbecue parties and Norby's sister introduces them to Latino culture and talks to them in Spanish.

Eddie loves those kids to death, because one, they deserve it, and two, they helped him get a family ten times better than his own.

Yeah. Anyway. I'll prolly write this. But idk how to start. Should I make it a romance series for the three roommates? Idk yet. But yeah.

okay so this is not rlly fleshed out but,, fantasy au. and jack is dead.

there's no point in refuting it. he's dead, leaving behind a grieving fiance- david- who nearly goes mad as the truth starts to settle in: he'll never again hold jack's hand, or kiss jack's cheek, or lie with him in the dead of night.

david would do anything to bring him back. so he does.

he follows the stories he's heard in taverns and inns, about a woman who understands dark magic. he searches for weeks. months, even. and every day, he justifies this decision: jack died too young, too early, too tragically, and if david could just bring him back then everything would be okay again, right? they could be happy again, right?

eventually he finds her. katherine pulitzer is the name; the estranged daughter of a nobleman, who left on her own accord as a young woman and took up spellwork. david pays her, gives her all he has. he's desperate. he wants him back.

and he gets him, but it's not... him. this is someone different. he looks like jack. talks like jack. he smiles, laughs, has jack's mannerisms, but he's not as vibrant. he doesn't eat. doesn't sleep. he doesn't have the same warmth to him as he once does.

blah blah david adjusting to jack being dead and jack becoming more and more insistent on the fact that he's real, he's alive, he's not a freak until it consumes him. until it devours him from the inside out and all that's left is an animal- something dangerous, something desperate. something david has to get rid of.

does this make sense? no? okay! good. moving on:

okay we all know the traditional latino family. jack is raised to be a good boy and find a good girl and have a big family to provide for. have a bunch of kids, take care of mom and dad, pass along the generational heritage.

it's been hammered into his skull since he was a child that he needs to take care of the family, so imagine his surprise when he becomes an orphan at 15, with no family to his name and decades of generational trauma resting on his shoulders.

after a year in the foster system, he's adopted by medda, and he settles back into life a little easier after that- but everything hits when he goes off to college, and this is when he realizes that maybe it's not normal to feel so awkward in the locker rooms after soccer practice. maybe other guys don't have dreams about dating their friends or wonder what it would be like to kiss a boy.

and it terrifies him.

it terrifies him, because the smart poli sci pre-law boy across the hall is gorgeous, but jack doesn't know how to talk to him. he has a feeling that the guy knows what he thinks, though; this guy- david- flirts shamelessly. he's comfortable in his own skin. he's open enough to try. jack can't say the same.

david likes jack, and that's a fact- but jack prays that david will realize that he's out of jack's league. it hurts more than anything else; jack doesn't want to be the "sum of his desires," he just wants to ignore this part of him and focus on finding a pretty girl to marry like Mama and Papa always said. he can't do that when david keeps running around his mind.

it all comes to a head when david finally asks jack out; jack runs away, because he can't handle it, he can't say no because he doesn't want to say no but he has to say no because he can't like a boy.

but jack says yes the next day.

he says yes, and he and davey start dating, and dating leads to making out against jack's dorm room door and that leads to jack jumping head first into a relationship with all the impulsiveness he's ever had following him. it goes from jack not wanting to date davey to only focusing on davey; it gets obsessive and toxic and terrifying but he loves it, this taste of danger he's never had before.

and davey notices eventually, and davey calls it off, davey suggests they take a break- he knows that Jack needs to keep his cool and find out who he is before being so deep into this.

does he listen? no. do they still fuck around? yes.

just,, jack being so terrified of a relationship with davey, but immediately becoming hyperfixated on it to the point of no return, and as much as davey wants to reign it in, he can't.

yeah !! they work it out eventually but give them some obsessive toxic finding-our-footing time !! whooooo

EXTRA! DIGIWEEK DAY 5 - CROSSOVER

Let's do some headcanons, shall we? Last week @imaginedigimon posted these headcanons of a mixed Asian/Hispanic Sora and it led me to this:

And like I said, those mixed Asian/Hispanic headcanons gave me the reason to think of In the Heights x Digimon Adventure crossover headcanons. And what better day to write such a post than on Crossover day 5 of @digiweek! So here goes.

The story

The story here is basically the same. There's a guy (Usnavi) with a store, inherited from his deceased parents, who has this dream to go back to the land he was born in, thinking that's his dream. However he was raised on this block in this city he's living in now, so eventually he's torn between leaving or staying. Simultaneously all the other characters have their own aspirations and dreams, but they shouldn't forget where they came from. That's the main theme and story, the characters will be quite the same from the movie/musical, but with some changes here and there suiting the Chosen Children and the relationships between them (for now I will only cover the 8 Digimon Adventure 01 crew members).

I want the set up to be a little different though. So it's not like a latino block on the Island Manhattan in NYC, but it's more like a city or village on it's own. Something like Big Hero 6's 'San Fransokyo'... Maybe 'Santo Dotokyo'? Could be. Anyway, it's a mix of Latino and Japan (that's actually a very weird combination. I like it!).

The characters

Usnavi / Taichi Yagami: Of course my boy is the lead! He's smooth yet awkward, fierce yet cute, determined yet clueless. Sounds like our goggle headed fella right? So Taichi owns the store, like a true work-a-holic works very very hard. He's friendly, always supporting and beaming positivity. He knows the whole community and the whole community knows him, everyone well aware of his father's dream to patch up the bar on the exotic island they came from. Taichi though is still figuring out his dream and is torn between staying for the community (and his love interest...) or leaving for his (father's?) dream. Plus let's not forget he has some very serious salsa skills like a true latino! The dancing is on, gosh how much I love my Taichi swaying...

Nina / Hikari Yagami: Taichi's younger sister, kind and innocent, who followed their mother's dream to study abroad. The community believed in her and fully supported her like the little light she is, she being the first one to 'make it out'. However during her time abroad she starts to feel lonely and left out, gets homesick and travels back to her hometown and brother with the idea to never go back abroad. Though she just needs the courage to go through and that convincing might come from her community, her brother and her lover.......

Sonny / Koushiro Izumi: In this universe Koushiro, who works with Taichi in the shop, is a 'cousin' from Taichi and Hikari! He has been abandoned by his own mother -who probably was someone with a drug addict- but then he was taken in by Taichi's and Hikari's aunt and uncle..! Yes, this makes Kae a blood relative to Taichi and Hikari, being Yuuko's sister (I love that idea, although it makes both Taishiro and Koukari impossible...). Koushiro is a smart kid, quiet, but always there with his words right on time. He wants to go to college or university badly, the smart kid he is, but because he was never officially adopted and therefore isn't fully registered, his chances are low... Taichi and the community might be of help here.

Vanessa / Sora Takenouchi: WEPA VANESSA SORA! In the musical Vanessa aspires to become a fashion designer. Oh hey, that's such a Sora! Where Hikari wants to come home, Sora desperately wants to leave everything behind to start anew. She works in Mimi's beauty salon only to make money so she can move to a bigger city. It's kind of like a rebellion against her traditional mother who wants her to stay in the community and take over the flower shop. However she might be staying as fashion inspiration can also come from within the community and a certain someone she loves *cough*Taichi*cough*, but doesn't want to admit (this is a very self indulgent Taiora AU thank you very much).

Daniela / Mimi Tachikawa: The salon lady! Or boss is better. She is an entrepreneur pur sang and makes sure everyone looks good with beautiful nails and shiny hair! She's fierce, doesn't take no for an answer (no nonsense policy yup) and always has her eyes and ears open. And her mouth too, because the girl looooooves to gossip! Especially with her two salon companions (from which one HAS to be Miyako -and yes Mimi and Miyako are the lesbian couple-), ¡No me diga! Also: she absolutely loves to tease employee Sora by telling untrue rumors about Taichi just to see how Sora reacts. So sly Meems.

Benny / Takeru Takaishi: This might come as a surprise, because to be honest Taichi would fit Benny so well. But I went for Takeru as Benny, because Takeru can be just as smooth -and kinda sly-. Takeru is one of Taichi's best friends if not thé best friend (I love to explore that dynamic)! A best friend with a love interest in the best friend's sister a.k.a. Hikari. They are secret lovers who are not as secretly in love (Nina Kari and Benny Keru sitting in a tree... k i s s i n g) as they think they are. Takeru works across the street in a record store (yes, this is a big difference from the musical itself) where he takes over the community radio station in the morning. There he has a story telling podcast, telling fictional stories based on the stories of the community (Mimi always informs him with the latest gossip). Eventually he wants to go to college, just like Hikari studies abroad, to become a writer.

(Graffiti) Pete / Yamato Ishida: This is even more of a stretch, but bear with me! Graffiti Pete is a true artistic lone wolf! Spraying art on walls through the whole city and it's absolutely fabulous. He's Takeru's older brother, but was raised by his father after their parents splitted up, and also friends with the gang. Though he may have made some art on the window shutters from Taichi's shop... However, Yamato is not only a graffiti artist, he's also a musician, always 'borrowing' stealing records from the shop Takeru is working. Yamato is just a very mysterious guy, but also a very nice friend with artistic and deep emotional help from unexpected corners.

Piragüero / Jyou Kido: Haha okay, this is weird..! Actually this is great role for Daisuke, but because we're here giving the roles to the Adventure 01 cast, this one goes to Jyou. Simply because piragua (which is shaved ice) guy has a heart of gold and is super reliable, one of the oldest ones on the block, one who has seen it all. He's also a bit silly, doing this horrible work on the street, while he failed to become a doctor (so sad), but he brings joy to others! And also great advice, especially when it comes to following dreams no matter how big or small. Jyou is the one who doesn't let you forget where you came from!

And there are so many more headcanons I could come up with, so this might gets a continuation eventually. But for now, this is it (:

Homra Dance Studio AU. Kusanagi has his own dance studio and he's jazz/modern style teacher by his own. Yata's breaking dance/hip hop teacher, Chitose Latino/Erotic dance and Anna has some kind of rhythmics classes for kids. One day Homra Dance Studio is visited by Special Unit of Tokyo police S4. Yata fall in love with some asshole oficer who's name he doesn't know, but he has fight with him about how dance is useless or not. So Yata asked Chitose to teach him how to do erotic dance for officer

So Kusanagi’s the owner of Homra Dance Studio, they’re fairly wellknown in the area and tend to take in even kids who can’t pay forlessons. The mortgage for the studio is actually paid by Kusanagi’sbest friend Mikoto, who’s all idly rich and mostly sleeps all day buthe was dragged into the whole thing by Kusanagi and their otherfriend Totsuka, Totsuka once got into dance as a hobby and maybe gotbeat up by some local thugs who thought it was girly of him to bedancing all the time. Kusanagi was the one teaching Totsuka dance atthe time, since Kusanagi’s uncle owned this little loft in an olddance studio that he used to use to give out private lessons.Kusanagi had always wanted to own the whole building though andMikoto ends up fronting the money so that Kusanagi could live out hisdream. Totsuka is basically the studio mascot, he doesn’t reallyspecialize in one kind of dance but likes to try anything andeverything. Mikoto is the one who tends to get people into the studioeven though he’s not much for dancing himself (though he’s secretlyclassically trained in ballet), he tends to bring in troubled kidsoff the street and Homra teaches them dancing as a way to work outtheir aggression and channel their energy. Yata’s one of those kids,he was doing some part time work for some shady local gangs becausehe had nowhere else to get money but as it happens he’s alsofascinated by hip hop dancing and taught himself a lot of moves.Mikoto brings him to Homra and Kusanagi gives him a job as a teacher,allowing Yata to get away from the thugs who were forcing him to workand giving him a way of supporting his mom and younger siblings.

So then one day maybe there’s like a murder outside Homra’s studioand the special police unit Scepter  4 is dispatched in solving it.They require access to Homra’s outside cameras and come into thestudio to request it, everyone’s on edge when they enter because alot of Homra’s people have criminal records. Yata in particular issuper belligerent about these guys daring to just walk into Homra’sstudio like they own the place, especially when the head of the unit,Munakata, walks right over to Mikoto and starts lecturing him onbeing as lazy as ever (turns out the two of them went to schooltogether and Munakata is also secretly classically trained in balletand they totally had a dance rivalry thing going on before Munakatadropped out of dance class in order to join the police and Mikotodropped out in order to get a few extra hours of sleeping in). Yata’son a rant about how the police think they’re so great when Munakata’sthird in command clicks his tongue and asks why some dance instructorthinks he has a right to yell at the police. Yata’s like what’s yourproblem asshole and Fushimi mocks him for being a burden on society,like Scepter 4 does a lot of useful work but what good does Homra doat all, this neighborhood is still shitty despite their best effortsand dance is just useless. Yata gets really pissed at that because tohim dance is what saved his life and Fushimi bad-mouthing it is atotal affront to him.

Yata thinks he’ll never see that asshole again after that but as ithappens due to the investigation Fushimi returns a few times, needingaccess to Homra’s security systems. Totsuka assigns Yata to showFushimi around ‘since you two are such good friends,’ Yata’s likewhat the fuck since when but agrees anyway.
