The ensign smirked, shrugging. "That's good to know. You know, I'm surprised a woman like you is single. Who could pass up a chance at you?"

Mackenzie just smiled. Oh, she hadn't said she was single. He'd only assumed. And she already knew she was in trouble, because she knew how James would feel about someone else looking at her, and she'd heard footsteps coming up behind her.
