I wanna ask something, why do you put a lot of text from post in the tags, like a short paragraph of it sometimes? Is it easier than just regular text? Is it because having an image in your post limits regular text? I don’t know?

Cause on tumblr, ramblings in tags have a different connotation than putting them in the actual body of text. They're sort of like... Thoughts to the side, that aren't necessarily important, or intended to be the main focus, but can sometimes provide greater context and whatnot.

It's sort of part of the whole site-wide dialect of text, which was birthed through the format of blogging that was given to us.

#for example let me use the tags on this post!#to basically say i've been on this site for over a decade #i know the ins and outs i know the general culture of it so all of this is largely second nature to me #if you're coming from another site like twitter or tiktok and don't have that experience i can definitely see how it would be an odd habit #but that's just the general scope of the site as it has developed! it's very neat and fun #in simpler terms: it's kind of a more modern form of post-script!
