Robyns Procrastination Tuesday / Request and Series updates
Due to the ball yesterday I didn't have time to do this so we will have procrastination tuesday instead this week
Procrastination Monday Tuesday
So most of my morning was in bed because I am so tired, my lil hermit self had fun but my social battery is zapped. On the plus side I do though have inspiration to write tonight!
The drawing is my sketch for the Polaroid which will be in Part 3 of the Holiday series. I'm sure you can guess who it is x
Request Updates
I have alot of requests and i might not be able to do every one but I shall try x as always here are some notes on stuff I'm working on
James Potter x Slytherin reader, enemies to lovers - forced proximity with them working on a extra credit project after arguing so much they messed up the orginal in class assignment
Remus Lupin x reader, hella slow friends to lovers - Reader was dating sirius but when he is taken to Azkaban, Remus and reader find comfort in one another and eventually fall in love
Fred Wealsey x reader, kinda acquaintances to lovers (featuring quietly pinning Freddie)- Reader dated Draco in secret revealing their relationship after the war but when he is 'forced' to get an arranged marriage and accepts it, breaking up with the reader she opens up a shop across from the twins where she and fred fall in love.
I have ones for Remus and wife! reader that has a daughter, Sirius secreting dating reader where they are sneaking about (feat James and Reg doing the same thing), and finally a heavy angst Sirius one
I have smaller drabbles/blurbs for Ginny, Hermoine, Marlene and others xx
If i haven't mentioned one you've sent in don't worry I have a few that are similar, eg i have 4 Sirius x Slytherin reader ones, and i don't want to write them all at once 💛
OH AND MORE WOLFSTAR DADS!
Series Updates
I have been really bad at updating, I am still so excited about these but as you can read below i've been having a couple of setbacks x
The Holiday - Took me a bit to choose which scene I wanted to draw then struggled with the sketch a fair bit...although i did draw a raindow robin which is hella cute
Bookshop Girl - the next few chapters are complex as this is the one which sets up next which will be split into three parts, showing the same day from Remus, Sirius and the readers perpective. So everything has to interlink. I do have it planned out and I will be trying to get it out soon x
(better taking a while and getting it right than rushing it right? 💛)
Possible Part 2's (Will write when i can x)
Welcome to the family ~ it will include Draco at a Weasley christams dinner and wolfstars daughter will be played by one of my OCs (Robyn, so imma be your best friend in this fic x)
Truth or dare ~ perhaps Remus and the reader find comfort in one another and Sirius has to watch
Double date ~ James' best man speech
You ever wonder if birds are afriad to fly? ~ lil angst during the christmas dinner, fun fact the ending orginally was at the dinner where george does something really petty but i scrapped it because i couldn't get the twins argument right since I hadn't written alot back then
Shes a keeper ~ someone catcalling his puff and her going off on them and sirius is like thats my girl
Smart cookie ~ so I got a request in for Remus explaining the story for harry and I love it but a part of me wants to write their whole frickin story...i'll make a seperate post about this to gage if people would read it x

Blog #6: What? So What? Now What?
What? What did I do?, This is concise, descriptive language that helps us know how you spent your voting is sexy time this week — research, events, making, etc.
Now that registration material is behind us, it is time to focus on our next segment of the Voting is Sexy class. Which is preparing for the election.
But first, we had to prepare for one last registration event on Tuesday, because it was the last day to register in the state of Michigan; we had to do something! The plan was to go to the DEI event that was already happening at the grove on North campus, which is a great spot for events because its like an outdoor hub between engineering, SMTD, and Stamps. I was unable to attend due to my crazy day schedule, but I got to hear all about it on Thursday and it sounded like it went really well! The people who went were able to register a lot more people, I forget the exact number but more forms filled than ever before. And just like that, the registration deadline came to a close and we had other things to focus on.
Come Thursday, when we got to class, Stephanie and Hannah had a sheet prepared for us, breaking down the information for the election that we needed to focus on. It seemed that there were 3 distinguished topics: Understanding the Ballot, Voter Experience, and Absentee Voting. Together as a class, we split into 3 groups according to skill/out side class time. We decided each group would have an assigned topic, and a variety of skill sets. Also a new rule; everyone had to meet outside of class at least once a week, to have more time to dive into their specific information.
The group I found myself in was the “Voter Experience” group. Our group focused on what new voters can expect when they visit the polls on election day. Doing anything for the first time can be intimidating, our job is to try to prepare new voters for exactly what to expect. That way the process won’t seem so unattainable, and hopefully, the process will seem simple and expected. The first thing our group decided to do to prepare for this topic was explain personal first time voting in-person experience.
So What? what did I discover, learn, realize? This is interpretive, reflective text that tries to extract what emerged from what you did that was meaningful/useful/insightful. These might be insights about our class structure, your own skill sets, your collaborations, your understanding of the problems we’re working on, etc.
I first believed all of us in the group sharing our first time voter experience would let us see more similarities than differences, but actually our experiences were all so unexpectedly different. Here is what I wrote about my first time voter experience:
The group appreciated how much I went into detail! :)
Gabby’s first time voter experience was absentee. The thing I found the most informative about her experience was how voting absentee was almost like an open book test, if you didn’t know who to vote for in what category, you could look it up. Gabby actually called her sister and had her talk her through what she should be voting for, since her sister was more prepared for the election. I think this is a major appeal for absentee voting and hopefully the absentee group can remember this when their preparing their information for the student body.
Robin and (?) both are international students, one from South Korea and the other from India. Listening to their first time voter experience really put into perspective just how difficult America makes it for their people to vote. Robin told us that in South Korea, you don’t even need to register to vote! You can just show up. Also, they don’t have absentee voting there, but you can vote over a duration of time, like a week or so. And there are many polling locations, you don’t have to show up at a certain place at a certain time if you’re from a certain area. The ballot was literally just a sheet of paper you marked, and handed it in just like that. She said around 40% of illegible voters made it to the polls her first time there, which is a pretty high amount compared to American rates.
The other person in our group (I’m forgetting her name! :( ) Is one of the foreign exchange students from India. Her experience was different as well, but more similar to Robin’s than American voting. In India, you do have to register to vote, but it automatically happens for most people when you turn 18. Makes sense right? Then when you go into vote, there is an electronic reader you cast your vote on. And instead of an “I Voted” sticker, you get ink left on your finger thats like a temporary tattoo.
After listening to everyone’s experience, I can see now just how difficult America makes it to vote. Our whole lives were trained to believe America is most advanced. And for the most part, we are, we have the latest technology, information, etc. This to me shows that American government knows what they’re doing. They’re making this difficult on purpose, and I’m hoping this doesn’t mean they taint more than what we can see on the surface. More and more, I’m beginning to see the American voting system as a maze of tricks and unfair to all players.
Now What? what are the implications of what I learned for what comes next? This is forward-looking thinking that helps you — and us — know what you think should come next. Our work in this class will be iterative. What do you now know about how the next iteration should be adjusted?
Over fall break, we were each assigned a task within each of our groups, and our meeting times outside of class will start next weekend, we get one last break because of fall break. Instead of having a task in my “Voter Experience” group, Hannah and Stephanie thought it was best to focus on the “Understanding the Ballot”’s group information, because that is what we see as priority info to get out to the public.
Using Hannah’s notes about ballot info, I was asked to visually distinguish the different parts of the ballot. Basically, a break down of what information goes where. Here is Hannah’s whiteboard notes so you can get a better idea:
I will then go over what I’ve created with everyone on Thursday, and get more feedback about to it to hopefully get this ballot “guide” information out very soon!
But also, it’s been nice to have a break from school while working on this project, because I’ve been having time as I go to look up ballot information for myself! That’s the great thing about being enrolled in a voting class, I kind of have to be prepared with the information, which will in turn help me become a more informed voter.
That’s it so far this week/fall break!
